Service was a disaster, food was okay.

Really disappointing experience. We bought poffertjes from here and they were clearly undercooked. My sister became unwell after eating them, which was extremely concerning and completely ruined our experience. For something that is supposed to be freshly cooked, the food should be properly prepared and safe to eat. I would expect much better attention to food quality and hygiene. Very disappointing and unfortunately I would not recommend.

Very good omelette and flat white

The cleaning lady was cleaning the legs of the chairs (which were super dirty) and then with the same cloth cleaned the table where people eat. So gross!! Expensive place. First time we ever visited this place for pancakes. The pancake was so so.

I waited over 35 minutes for my 1-minute omelette. Simple food but overpriced.

Nice seating but poor quality beef

Messed up every single part of my order, 0/3 done correctly. Tried to charge me for neither entree I didn’t order too and demanded to see the receipt which didn’t have it on it. Complained and took forever to fix anything and the food took a while too. Skip this place and walk a little further. All tables were gross too.

Food was ok but employees seem unhappy and disinterested in serving customers. Would not recommend.

Very nice place, good food - fresh and tasty, pretty quick even during busy hours. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is charging 4.5€ for 200ml of boiling water.... dissappointing...

Don't eat here, it's terrible. I ordered 2 omelets with bacon and 1 mini pancake (Poffertjes) and paid €40.6. Absolutely horrible food, and totally not worth the money. McDonald's is better 😅

If you need a spot to sit and have a snack or drink in the airport, this isn't a terrible option. Food is OK, not great. Staff are friendly and helpful. Lots of seating options which is nice. This is a self-service eatery, and there are long lines, so be prepared for that.

Very poor service; my order was not listened to. They sent me to the checkout to pay for only one item of what I wanted to order. When I wanted to repeat my order at the checkout, they sent me back to a long line. I turned around and left. I will never go to this store again and I do not recommend it to anyone.

I regret not checking the reviews first. The burger was mediocre, especially considering the price. You expect better quality than McDonald's, but it certainly wasn't. The staff was demotivated and unfriendly. A bad start to the holiday.

7.30pm on a Saturday night, couple sat at bar drinking a beer from the bar, ask to order a cocktail from the bar man to be told they're not serving drinks. Not sure of the point of a bar or employing someone to stand there if you don't actually plan to sell anything. Got an over priced tea from the food counter instead. Tastes pretty rubbish.

I ordered fish and chips. They were soaked in old oil and tasted stale. The salad was no better. You could even eat better with poppy seeds.

The guy who took my order ignored me for like 5 minutes even though I was in front of him. I ordered the mini pancakes and they were like 10 miserables mini pancakes. The only good thing was the service from the cashier she was a nice lady.

Highly overpriced old oily food and drinks. Extortion at #schipol

21 euros for a burger without sauce and just one slice of tomato. Haven't had a meal this bad in a long time. One word for this: TERRIBLE.

My wife suffered severe food poisoning after eating here the manager refused to even apologise. Apparently it is OK to play Russian roulette with the health of your customers. Avoid eating here at all costs unless you want to spend the next few hours vomiting the food back up on your flight. I cannot understand why this place has not been closed down. It is a public health hazard.

This is very sad. The Dutch kitchen was a favorite for us. Every time we stopped in Amsterdam we looked forward to the poffertjes (mini pancakes). Unfortunately, we just waited 23 minutes for cold and under cooked poffertjes and only slightly warm fries. There was nobody in line and the place is basically empty, so no excuse. We have been here before when it is very busy and the food has come out faster and better. The presentation is also lacking and almost no butter on the poffertjes. Very disappointing.

Poor Latte despite requesting to make a good one. Poor customer service and low food quality. The sandwich looked good but did not taste good at all. The two star is because the cleaning lady was nice to clean up the table quick. Rest poor.

The worst experience I've ever had in a restaurant or bar was here. I ordered poffertjes and was given a buzzer with my order number, which I promptly took to the counter and paid for (along with a bottle of water). I'm not in the habit of taking receipts because I've never really needed them before, but on this occasion I wish I did because I found plastic in the food, and the staff were incredibly disrespectful. It was a small piece of hard white plastic inside one of the mini pancakes. I felt it in my mouth and spat it out. I was so shocked by it I didn't think to take a photo, and instead went straight back to the collection point to show the lady who served the food. She took the piece of plastic and threw it away, and what followed was an absolutely awful experience. She offered to remake the order, but by that point I was completely put off the food so I asked for a refund instead. After explaining to me that the plastic could not have come from the bottle of pancake mix - which may very well be true but was irrelevant because the plastic was very much real and ended up in my mouth - I followed her to the cashier and after a brief exchange there, I was told a refund isn't possible without a receipt. I showed her the transaction in my banking app, which for some reason showed up as being from Starbucks (to be completely clear, I don't go to Starbucks so this is not a case of me getting transactions confused - this was the second of only two payments I made in the entire airport and they were about 30 minutes apart). I paid €13.40 for the poffertjes and a bottle of water. She insisted that a receipt was necessary, which I might have understood and accepted had I not been treated like a lying scumbag. It only got worse after that when she proceeded to accuse me of not paying and told me multiple times I needed to pay for the water!! I was in complete disbelief. It was exasperating and embarrassing. She did fetch the manager when she realised I wasn't just going to pay a second time and leave. The manager was far more reasonable and I had a calm, respectful conversation with her just as should have happened in the first place. She gave me a drink and some mini stroopwafels as an alternative to a refund, and I did consider leaving a slightly higher rating because of that, but the whole experience was far more stressful and upsetting than it was worth. Not a nice note to end my first trip to the Netherlands on.

No atmosphere and damn expensive

This is a great place to eat and relax while waiting for your flight. So many choices!

Terribly rude and. Unhelpful staff. 85% items on the menu unavailable. A shame that they project such a terrible image of a beautiful country and people.

I ate one and ended up with three in total. Delicious! The texture is soft and mouthwatering. I could eat this candy every day. I recommend it 100%.

Ordered latte in disposible cup, whe poured in ceramic cup and put on side counter, didn't tell me it's yours. And server other two latte to somebody in disposible cups when I asked about my latte, she told this is mine in ceramic cup. I told that I ask in disposible cup so she gave me empty paper cup. When I pourd it just filled 60% only. Taste also not like latte . Milk is very less.

Total rip off. The burger is 19 euros for a bun that’s the size of half my palm, burnt meat and ketchup. The guy just added ketchup. No preference. No tomato. And the “salad” was old and moldy. 19 euros for that. My wife’s sandwich had meat that was dry. And the service is slooooow. Polite people. But desperately in need of coffee and a motivational speech. Avoid at all costs. Go hungry. It’s better than this crap shoot.

Worst designed order and payment flow.

Awful service. Staff stood around with no sense of urgency. Waited half an hour to pay for food. Which was then stone cold after having to stand waiting to pay. Staff uninterested. Not the service expected within such a high footfall area such as an airport. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. THIS PLACE NEEDS SHUTTING DOWN. Very expensive for everything on the menu

Expensive food and grumpy people. They're taking advantage of their monopoly; outside of Schiphol, they would have been shut down long ago.

I love this place. My wife and I always go there when we are in Amsterdam. Great service, great food. Even chose to not go to the KLM lounge with friends to have your food and atmosphere!

Took 20 minutes for someone to come and serve me. To the greeters credit she spotted me and ensured a server came to me. I ordered nachos and Korean chicken. Only the chicken turned up. My drinks arrived only after I chased a server for them. The last straw was the nachos were on the bill despite not arriving. Well over an hour for somewhere that sells basically snacks and drinks, in an international airport this really is not going to work.

Pancakes were laughable, raw in the middle, bad tasting and they didn’t seem to care. Returned and got my money back

The restaurant in the Amsterdam Airport departure area is beautiful.

The service at the checkout is terrible; the staff is barely audible, and the container or cup is only three-quarters full of warm café latte, which is anything but hot. Not recommended.

The reviews are way out of left field. Reading them I can only imagine people expected to have there feet kissed and hands manicured. Food came out quickly and tasted great! The croquettes were flavourful and mini pancakes amazing! My only complaint is it is a tad overpriced which is expected in an airport (and no tomato sauce) wouls recommend for a nice tasty meal.

Lady with short hair and glasses cooking was disgustingly rude, ignorant and made our whole experience rubbish. She spoke to many people like rubbish and ignored me when I came to collect my food. May need some training on how to be polite

The worst burger I have ever had. Plain topping (a tiny 🕵️‍♂️ piece of tomato and lettuce) and the bun isn’t fresh….

For two people it was 40 euro and tasted bland with no offer of condiments to help. The food was purely grease and salt. I have flown to Schipol 4 times now and this is by far the worst meal I have had there.

The worst Fish and Chips I’ve ever eaten!!! Incredible that they offer Heineken Extra cold for an extra price… The service horrible, don’t waist your money!!!

The manager was too busy to replace a piece of baking paper so that a warm gluten-free bun could be enjoyed!

Not sure what the bad reviews are about. Great food and great service and some of the poffertjies I have ever had. Would definitely recommend.

Dutch Bar & Cocktails is one of the only proper food spots in Schiphol. The food is passable and will fill you up if you need it. But the prices are unreasonably high for the quality. Only worth it if you have no other option.

Unfortunately very few vegan options. The tomat soup was delicious, though.

Waited fifteen minutes for a hamburger. In the end it turned out that the pager had not gone off and the food had already been on the counter for ten minutes. Cold of course. Not a kind word could be said, it was waved aside. Not recommended, didn't taste like anything.

Pretty disappointing overall. Food didn't look great to begin with and was very overpriced. I paid around 10 euros for a slice of pie and a tiny drink. Employees either chatted among themselves or were on their phones. Didn't seem like anyone wanted to be there. Had to call out to them twice to be noticed. It does have some interesting decor and is centrally located in Schiphol, so its pretty hard to miss and easy to access from any gate. They do have plastic cutlery and napkins that anyone can take. I was a little confused on if we were supposed to drop our trays somewhere or leave it on the table. You can do either. There is someone going around and cleaning tables, but there's also a rack to leave your trays. Be a good person.

The chef that served me (wears chunky glasses) is only nice and friendly when the rest of the kitchen staff are nearby. Otherwise he is rude. Extremely poor service. Wanted to see my boarding pass and receipt, whilst the person before (who was a lady and similar racial background as him) didn't need to show anything. Its better to just go McDonalds.

Terrible service there was only 1 customer in the bar tender was playing on her phone I stood for a while when I eventually got tired of waiting and said hello the tender looked at me like I was an alien and I had done something real bad like asked for a drink in a bar AVOID just terrible

Ordered a burger and came cold no good

Horrible experience. Took 25 minutes to get food for it to be cold and overcooked. When speaking to them they then decided to talk bad about me and my partner in Dutch as we were English and they didn't think we would understand. This includes sweating about us. They were adamant that they called the pager but there was proof they hadn't. To top that no food hygiene in the kitchen with no gloves for handling food or hairnets for long hair. Cannot fault the clean staff and coffee counter staff however, they were so friendly and really helped and they put the kitchen staff in their place and made sure they redid it and supervised them personally. The cleaner who helped us brought over the food and checked it was hot which it was. She was absolutely lovely and kept checking on us. Overall unless you want overpriced, bland, cold food and rude kitchen staff. Don't go here.

Overcooked mini pancakes that tasted burnt and thick pancake. Spent €40 and tried to take back only one portion as my child refused to eat them. Manager said they are meant to be burnt and showed me the picture. Don’t waste your money on food here. Shame as otherwise very charming place and it was lovely a couple of years ago when we last came.

I've visited this bar on two occasion whilst waiting on my flight to Malaysia and it's my go-to! On both occasions, Ive enjoyed the great company from the barstaff, most recently from a man named Fernandes. I look forward to visiting again in 2026! ;)

The most horrible chef/service Ever

The burger was so bad I couldn't finish. Can you imagine how bad that has to be. Overpriced and bad food.

Nice experience to have some Dutch treats like stroopwafels, poffertjes and the like. It can be very busy at times, but if you are lucky, you can sit inside a teacup which is a nice experience.

What a very sweet lady behind the cash register! She was very kind and patient. There wasn't much halal choice, but the lady with the headscarf showed me the different options for eating.

Artificial eggs from a bottle, artificial butter, €5 for a water bottle

Yeah the reviews don’t lie. It’s overpriced and the food is mediocre, the staff don’t show much kindness, interest or sincerity. Expect to pay €4 for a small coffee and €3 for a treat. You can find cheaper and higher quality food elsewhere at this airport, for example at any Albert Heijn. Though the atmosphere here is very nice. I come back just for the tradition of it.

Avoid. Absurdly overpriced with an absolutely baffling ordering system. I ordered a simple omelette from the hot kitchen section and got given a plastic disc that would alert me when that was ready. I then had to go to another section for a drink and another section again to pay. The one saving grace was that the lady on the cashier was very helpful and lovely. In that time the plastic disc starting buzzing to signify the order was ready. Once I had finished paying I went to collect my order from the hot kitchen area only to be told it wasn't in fact ready yet and got told that it would beep and vibrate when my order was ready. I explained that my disc had been going off and got looked at like a was a delusional fantasist. 10 minutes later the disc vibrated again and this time my lukewarm omelette was here. It wasn't at all worth the wait. There's a McDonald's nearby. The food probably isn't great but it won't be a great deal worse than here and will be a fraction of the price.

The employees here are so unfriendly. One of the cashiers was so rude to me because I did not want a cold croissant. I ask him to please get someone to warm it up because he said he could not. He said no so I asked for a refund. He snatch the croissant out of my hand and threw it in the trash. So I asked for a refund for all that I ordered. He yelled at me and said you are so difficult and walked away speaking in his language…. PLEASE DO NOT EAT HERE…. The food was not good… I only eat half because I was hungry.

What A flipping shambles! We must have waited at least 15 mins, for a simple order! God alone knows, what the heck was the delay- yes it was quite busy, but not Excessively. Good grief there were at least 3,staff on.. anyway, I got passed off,waiting in the end... I was actually wondering,was the pager i was given, even working!! It decided to go off,when we decided to leave! The lady was decidedly cheesed off,when I told her,quite sternly, "sorry,but we have a flight to catch!!".. ..

Just had a drink at the bar, was very chill and communication with the bartender was better than at Frames where I just left. I asked for a vodka soda and the poor girl had no idea what I wanted hah but at this place, the guy asked no questions, just gave me a tumbler with the vodka and a tall bottle of sparkling water I can have later or use for a second drink. Very happy.

This place is seriously overpriced, avoid it if you can. I paid 20 euros for 2 small cheese pastries (that were below average), chocolate milk, and a cookie. While I do understand that it’s to be expected in an airport but this was too much. The seating area is what you’d expect from any airport.

AVOID!!! Worst ever service... The cashier who cannot count, the chef who doesn't I kW what he cooked. Fries were over burned and burger and the bun were unbeatable - all went to the trash. Not Dutch kitchen, that's for sure!

What a place! Lady handed my bread without gloves, flies all over the food, juice without lids, lady used gloves to put a patty on the grill and never changed for the next person’s food and touched the fries. Pricey!

Such an unbelievably bad diner! Rude service both at the register and in “the kitchen”. Overpriced for the quality of the food but that’s every airport nowadays, but the worst thing is their hygienic code. No gloves while touching the food. Ugh!!!

The worst restaurant at Schiphol, with terribly rude staff. Food is super greasy and very expensive. It is incomprehensible that Schiphol does not send this entrepreneur away!!

Got poffertjies that were undercooked and raw inside. After trying to return it, so that they can replace it with a properly cooked portion, the lady that distributes the orders started yelling at me infront of everyone that that is the way they cook poffertjies and then she started having a small argument with her colleagues. Conclusion is that the staff is utterly unprofessional, I never had poffertjies and wasted €9.

For the price of 19.50 for kibbeling you expect something tasty. Unfortunately, the kibbeling tasted like cheap whey and factory potatoes. The pancake for 8.50 was dry and not tasty.

Bad tent. Cold rancid fries. Very pricey. Seating is very uncomfortable. Skip and walk to the next one.

The waiters had supercilious and arrogant attitudes. They were flirting and chatting even after they saw me waiting to check out. What’s worse, they started to argue over who should come and check me out. When I asked them why did it take ages to have someone here, one of them just replied “because we were talking about something important”. I was so speechless🙄 If you wanted to be treated like a customer, do not ever step into that awful place. We asked for “a burger” and we sat down and enjoyed the meal yet didn’t feel satiated, because the crafty people fed us “meatless beef”? When someone asks for a burger don’t assume they want to fake lab-made substitute, also we should’ve noticed I guess but still a stupid idea from the kitchen. I’m unhappy, who pays 20 euro for fake meat? Me sadly.

After reading the reviews I was hesitant to eat here. But I wanted one last kroket. Sure, it’s pricey, but what do you expect at an airport? The service was quick and the food was delicious.
