Delicious food! I wanted to eat vegetarian or vegan and the menu also had tasty vegetarian options. I didn't ask if vegan was also possible.

We had a wonderful evening with excellent food and very friendly service. The great ambiance rounded off the visit. The value for money was outstanding. We'll be back.

In de biechtstoel. Een heel fijne en vlotte bediening. Checken regelmatig of alles naar wens was. Een slokje wijn als proevertje wanneer we een glas bestelden. Supermooie en lekkere gerechtjes. Het was af 😊

Good food in a nice atmosphere.

All in all the food was okay, but there is salt and pepper and duck is not served well done but pink... But no drinks menu? No official ticket? There is nothing to show that prices depend on anything other than the mood of the owner. If you have to pay for bread yourself, at least some friendliness should be shown to the clientele

Delicious food here! The beef tataki and the sirloin steak were incredibly tender. The allergies I had indicated in advance were handled well, every dish was adjusted so that I could eat it, super nice! We will definitely come back again

Lively, cozy atmosphere in the shop. Good bottle of red wine. We had a nice piece of fish and the desserts were also very good. The food anyway, but if a restaurant can also end with good desserts, it is really great! Price quality super top! The only thing I missed was the mirror menu on the menu we were offered. You had more information on the website. But definitely recommended and we would love to go there again.

We had made reservations on the day itself for 6 people, but ultimately arrived with 5 people due to a last-minute illness. I understand that this is annoying and I should have called, but the owner gave us an angry two-minute lecture before we even had a drink. Not a good start to the evening, but luckily the service from his nice wife and the food made up for it.

Wij gaan regelmatig uit eten, en hebben wisselende ervaringen. Maar Het elfde gebod in Goes is misschien wel de beste ervaring tot nu toe. In één woord: fantastisch. We hadden het driegangenmenu voor 39,50 euro. Voorgerecht: groene asperges (uit de kunst) en vitello tonato (zoals de Italianen dit ooit bedoeld hebben). Hoofdgerecht: scholfilet (zo moet dat!) en black agnus biefstuk (rood, zoals ik had gevraagd, maar wel goed warm van binnen). Klap op de vuurpijl: het toetje, een 'kaat mossel'. ons beste toetje ever. Prijs-kwaliteit verhouding: prima, het diner is zijn geld meer dan waard. Wij komen hier zeker nog terug en kunnen het iedereen aanbevelen. wel reserveren, want -niet verwonderlijk- de zaak zal vol op zaterdagavond.

Great atmosphere, feels like a family, super tasty food, and affordable (€40). We had a 3-course menu, but it took a long time between courses. Definitely recommended!

Very good food and nice service. The only disadvantage is that it is a fairly small space, which can make it seem very busy. But if you want good food this is the place to be.

Na een beetje vreemde dag, toch nog hier aanbeland voor het diner. Wat een beleving voor deze culi-barbaar. Maar wel 1 die weet wat wel of niet smaakvol is. In elk geval ben ik nu een "ex-zeetong" liefhebber ( nou bij wijze van spreken dan..) omdat ik nu ff een tijdje ga voor de tarbotine... zooo lekker!

Dit restaurant is een echte aanrader, prijs kwaliteit uitstekend, We (4pers)hebben het 3 gangen menu genomen, alle gerechten waren telkens prachtig gedresseerd opgediend en waren super lekker. Reservering ging super vlot. We werden heel vriendelijk onthaald. We kozen de spiegel menu. Deze was super lekker, genoten van de eerste tot de laatste hap. We werden echt heel goed bediend niets op aan te merken. We wisten op voorhand niet wat we moesten betalen maar ook dat veel reuze mee. Een hele aangename ervaring op een hele leuke locatie.

Nice restaurant with a cozy atmosphere, both inside and on the terrace at the back. We took the menu with 4 people, all (different!!!!) dishes were placed on the table simultaneously and perfectly. Be sure to be surprised by the patron's choice of wine, great. Highly recommended and definitely worth repeating. Fair price for a 3 course menu (€39.5).

Nice place to eat. The restaurant has an atmosphere and is cozy. The employees are helpful and explain a lot. Also have time to chat. Owner has 180 types of whisky, 120 of which are on the menu. The whiskey is displayed as a wall decoration. Highly recommended to eat here.

The Ravioli with lemon burrata....sublime dish! Hats off to the host too. Efficient, charming and everything runs smoothly. Highly recommended. One very small downside: for dessert I chose the pineapple with red pepper, chocolate mousse and yoghurt ice cream: very tasty but I did not find the pepper 😊

Once again we had a delicious meal and enjoyed a wonderful evening out with my wife. Recommended if you are in Goes.

Excellent food and cozy atmosphere

Went to the restaurant at 19:00 with my wife. Parking in Goes at night is a bit hit and miss but we found a space quite close by. We had been to the restaurant some years previously and had high expectations for our visit. We were seated quickly by our server and handed out menu's and drinks. The restaurant was busy yet our server was present and attentive. I had a started my wife did not. I had Jerusalem artichoke soup which was delicious. Next our main meals arrived. My wife had a small bird dish with caramelized apple. I forget the name of the dish but she was extremely happy with it. I had Australian aged beef loin with vegetables and we shared fries. I really wish I could post pictures as my words don't do our meals justice. Really really great food. We ended our meal with creme brulee. Normally a creme brulee comes in a small bowl or two. Not this creme brulee, it was massive and absolutely divine. Matched with a ball of vanilla ice cream and a wafer. When the bill came I was really surprised. Apart from the meal I've described above my wife had 1 wine, I had 2 cokes and a beer plus bread. In total €99! I checked to make sure there was no mistake as I felt that the amount should be higher. Nope for everything €99. I told them they should charge more for such beautiful food. If you can please go and enjoy an evening at this restaurant. You won't be disappointed. I wish more restaurants could be like this.

The whiskey dinner was a great success for us. Exceeded expectations and thoroughly enjoyed it. We also booked the room which made the experience complete. Recommended.

Top shop with a beautiful hidden terrace

Eating at Het Elevende Gebod for the first time. Not a single comment from reception to leaving. Pleasant host, Nice setting and above all the food was excellent. All this for a fair price. We had indicated that we wanted to continue on time for a concert and this was taken into account. Maw, we will come back here.

Wat een gastvrijheid en eten is er prima.

Vanavond ggeten bij Het Elfde Gebod. Ik had de vissoep en de eendeborst, eega vitello tonnato en biefstuk. Beide geserveerd met lekkere gewokte verse groenten en patat. Goeie fles rosé erbij, niets meer aan doen.. Heerlijk gegeten en ondanks personeelskrapte niet te klagen over attentheid en bediening. Top!

Heerlijk gegeten, supergezellig, fijne bediening. Lekker buiten kunnen zitten. Goed advies, heerlijke wijnen bij de diverse gerechten! Echt toprestaurant! Prijs/kwaliteit is top! Wij komen zeker terug!

Heel gezellig en tof restaurant. Het was heel aangenaam vertoeven op het mooie terras. Service was top. Vitello tonato was super evenals het dessert, dat was heerlijk. Enige minpuntje was bij mij dat het vlees een beetje taai was, maar wel nog steeds lekker. Zeker een aanrader!

Geweldig gegeten. Heel lekker. We hebben alle vier de spiegel genomen. Bob weet wat we bedoelen. Bob, zelfs die bourgondische Belgen heb je doen verbazen met je fantastische gerechten. Ik schrijf nooit veel recensies, maar deze Nederlander verdient een dikke pluim.

Fantastisch gegeten! Heerlijk verblijf bij Kalckmate. Bob draagt het gastheerschap uit als geen ander, zo welkom, gezellig en servicegericht.

Wonderful service, food and atmosphere. Very helpful and polite staff who helped translate the menus to us. Food was amazing! Steak was spot on, you can feel there was heart and soul put into making all dishes. Presentation was on par with Michelin star restaurants and prices are reasonable. Would come back again!

Heerlijk gegeten, we kozen het 3 gangen menu en deze was echt prima! Lekker flesje rode wijn erbij. We voelden ons welkom en ondanks dat de zaak zo goed als vol zat was de benadering heel persoonlijk. We komen graag eens terug!

Bob, de baas, is een gastheer met veel knowhow. Of het nu gaat om de sfeer en de organisatie van het restaurant, de kwaliteit en originaliteit van de gerechten, de originaliteit van de setting en de bediening: alles is zeer homogeen en zorgt voor een zeer goede ervaring. Keuken: een combinatie van lokale gerechten met internationale accenten. Perfecte sfeer voor een maaltijd met vrienden of als koppel. Ik beveel het ten zeerste aan. Thierry de Belg ;-)

Heerlijk gegeten in dit restaurant aan de haven in Goes. Culinair genieten en de service was erg professioneel. Echt een aanrader.

Slechte start omdat er te weinig personeel was en we na kwartiertje zelf maar een hand opgestoken hebben om een drankje te kunnen bestellen. Eigenaar en dochter moesten alles met zijn 2'en doen. Kwaliteit van het eten is subliem.

This place is worth 10 stars! Für unser Urlaubsfinale haben wir hier als Familie reserviert. Vorgefunden haben wir ein sehr gemütliches Restaurant. Ein Blick auf die Karte sorgte zugleich für hohe Erwartungen die allesamt erfüllt wurden. Ein sehr leckeres Menü und für die Kleinen ein Kidsmenü :) Preis/Leistung absolut top! Wir kommen bei unserem nächsten Urlaub sicher wieder vorbei.

Een heerlijk 4-gangen keuzemenu op. Geweldige wijn/spijs combinatie. Een restaurant waar je (h)eerlijk kunt eten met een prijs/kwaliteitsverhouding waar je U tegen zegt! Ik kom hier zelf, zeker als leerling-kok, zeker nog een keer terug!

Perfecte plek voor een heerlijk romantisch etentje. Zalig gegeten, en prima bediend. Geweldig, en we komen vast terug.
