This restaurant, tucked away from the main market square, is a real insider tip. The DHT (artisan butcher) burger tastes simply delicious. The meat is excellent and perfectly prepared. My sons treated themselves to the steak, which was also superbly prepared, and the quality of the meat was simply exceptional. My sons will use it as a reference for all future steaks. It's really worth eating here. The restrooms are also modern and clean, so all around, go there and enjoy.

Delicious food as always! Unfortunately the sauce and salad were forgotten. But the food is so tasty and the staff is nice, takeaway or sit down food, always good! And it looks beautiful after the renovation!

sometimes you think... carpaccio is on the menu again. like everywhere. you order anyway ☺️ only here you can eat the tastiest carpaccio, freshly cut before your eyes. various variants, full taste. Never had such delicious carpaccio before! And for decent money. worth recommending!!!

Delicious food, not cheap but tasty

Looking for a nice tent, I was strolling through Bergen op Zoom with my best friend. Until our eyes fell on "Eetwinkel De Hollandsche Tuyn". Attracted by the name and the coziness, we decided to have lunch there. Once we entered we were warmly welcomed with a greeting. We were able to take a seat and a few seconds later the waitress kindly asked if we wanted something to drink. In the meantime we could already look through the map. 1 tip is to add the prices on the beer menu to increase transparency. The beer tasted wonderfully fresh. The music was also excellent. A mix between Dutch hits and 80s/90s hits, with greatest artists such as Guus Meeuwis and Phill Collins. That appealed to us. The food was very tasty, but no mustard was added to the veal croquettes. That was a disappointment. In conclusion, "De Hollandsche Tuyn" is a pleasant and hospitable establishment, and I will recommend it to everyone.

Actually it is just a snack bar, but they have given it a culinary twist, so that it feels like you are eating in a regular restaurant.

Fantastic place with wonderfully friendly staff!!! After leaving another restaurant because it was not possible to order from the dinner menu at 4.30 pm, I was warmly welcomed here with open arms. My 6-year-old daughter received a very nice toy in the Kids box. Super customer and especially child friendly. They deserve 10 stars from me!! Had a fantastic experience!!

Nice business that has been around for a long time. Always good food. Very friendly service. You'll be nice and cozy there. You can have a delicious lunch or dinner here. All this at a reasonable price. Recently renovated, it looks neat again. Nice thing. Parking is available for a fee in the nearby Jumbo parking garage.

Jullie hebben echt heerlijke friet en over heerlijke spareribs...jullie doen het goed. maar ik vraag extra kopje ketchup en moet bovenop de 21,50 een euro extra betalen...het gaat mij niet om die euro, maar jullie hebben zo'n mooie tent, waarom dan...ik mag mijn mening geven maar vind dit echt niet normaal.....en nu zullen er wel reacties komen je kan ook naar de jumbo, maar was dat kleine dingetje vergeten...en dat kleine dingetje kost me een euro

A great location and delicious dishes, very friendly and helpful staff. Our favorite lunch spot for years, good entrepreneurship really deserves a ten.

Good fries, snacks, stew, but above average priced. But something often goes wrong when collecting an online order. This weekend I received a cup of satay sauce instead of stew.

Excellent fries, if you eat there, the top floor is the best place to sit. Less noise and less draft.

We ate here by chance and if we are in the area we will definitely come again! Surprising menu and good food. Service is extremely friendly and there is a good atmosphere!

Wat een teleurstelling. Bediening was ontzettend onvriendelijk. Eten was matig, en afspraken niet nagekomen (van te voren het een en ander besteld aan hapjes) Sacherijnig stel in de bediening, wat ook nog de eigenaren zijn..

I was in Bergen op Zoom and am a schnitzel lover. I came across this restaurant and was curious. Upon arrival it looks like the snack bar, but they have places. It's because of the takeaway section upon entry. The food was excellent and the service just good. I'm going to eat there again today. Good prices and top schnitzels. Do order the DHT version.

Snacks waren zoals altijd lekker en bezorging prima, enkel was de hippe frites truffel dit keer meer een frietje champignon. Droge hap waarin ik geen truffel mayo kon vinden of proeven. Heb 't maar weggegooid.

40 jarig huwelijk van mijn ouders hier gevierd met een etentje. We waren in totaal met 23 personen. Alles was top geregeld. We hebben zelf bewust gekozen om geen voorgerecht te nemen omdat we uit eigen ervaring weten dat deze hier erg groot zijn daarom vooraf mandjes met brood en smeersels op tafel gezet. Vervolgens heeft iedereen zijn eigen keuze voor het hoofdgerecht door kunnen geven. Niet verwacht dat het zo snel zou komen top dus! Uiteraard nog een dessert genomen ook dit was uitstekend. De service was FANTASTISCH. Zeker als je bedenkt dat het meisje bijna alleen stond voor een gehele boven verdieping. Zouden we het over doen? ABSOLUUT!

Wir kannten das Restaurant von 2018 und da war es schon lecker. Ich hatte die ripps, für meinen Geschmack etwas wenig Schärfe, aber trotzdem sehr lecker😋

Voorgerechten waren heerlijk, hoofdgerecht viel zwaar tegen (trio van frites) frites was koud, vlees zeer droog , zag er mooi en lekker uit , maar viel erg tegen … niet voor herhaling vatbaar . Van te voren gereserveerd : mochten tafeltje voor 2 uitkiezen (2 tafeltjes vrij !! Geen fijne plaatsen) anderen na ons mochten gewoon aan tafeltje voor 4 plaats nemen ??!! Helaas deze keer geen fijne ervaring ( mijn vrouw wilde hier eten omdat ze 65 werd ) echt een gemiste kans .

Absolute recommendation! We asked for a vegan alternative and received several suggestions to choose from that were not on the menu. The choice fell on a salad, which was incredibly delicious and versatile. It was accompanied by fries and a vegan dip. The second dish (pulled pork on fries) was also excellent. The service was extremely friendly. Every time again!

Het eten was lekker, de porties wisselend.. ik had de garnalen als voorgerecht, dat had wel iets meer mogen zijn, terwijl de nachos zoveel zijn, dat het je er voor zorgt dat je amper nog ruimte hebt voor het hoofdgerecht. De hoofdgerechten zijn beter in balans en erg lekker
