I recently was in Ekmekci Dordrecht. Unfortunately, the order took 45 minutes to be ready, which was quite disappointing. The staff was polite and kindly offered two pieces of baklava to make up for the delay, which I appreciated, but given the long wait, it didn't fully make up for the inconvenience. The food itself is good, but the service speed and time management definitely need improvement.

The cucumbers tasted like cleaning products/bleach, and the meat tasted like soap. The last time I went, I got sick instantly. I think it might have been food poisoning. I go to Ekmekci's location in Rotterdam Centraal with my colleagues every week, and I've never had a problem there. The food is always tasty and consistent. I'm not sure what is different about their location in Dordrecht.

I ate at Ekmekci Dordrecht again today and, as always, it was top-notch. I actually come here whenever I'm in Dordrecht and have become a regular by now. The atmosphere is cozy and modern, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the food is always deliciously fresh. The gözleme and the coffee, in particular, remain my favorites. Everything is served quickly, and you can tell that a lot of attention is paid to quality and presentation. Definitely recommended for breakfast, lunch, or a quick bite in the center of Dordrecht ❤️

SUFFERED FOOD POISONING!!! Ate here and unfortunately had a very bad experience. Both my fiancé and I developed severe symptoms consistent with food poisoning shortly after eating, such as nausea, stomach pain, diarrhea, and vomiting. We were both very sick for two days, which had a major impact. This was clearly no coincidence, as we ate the same dishes and experienced the same symptoms at the same time. For us, this is absolutely not a place we will be returning to. I am posting this review primarily to warn others so that they do not have to go through the same thing. Hopefully, this will be looked into seriously, because this should not happen.

As a family, we've been to this restaurant several times (at different times of the day). The place looks nice and the food itself is fine; there's always room for improvement. The service, however, is terrible, with inattentive staff and not as attentive as you'd expect as a customer. We keep coming back because the cappuccino tastes good and the food isn't bad, but because that awful ordering app often doesn't work and the staff don't understand how service works in the hospitality industry, I'm always disappointed when I go there. It kind of ruins the dining atmosphere. It's a real shame. I guess I just keep hoping it'll be better next time. The staff really needs some customer service training; then the customer will feel good and leave feeling good.

We've eaten there twice so far and enjoyed it every time! We had the all-inclusive breakfast, which was plenty for two people, and we got unlimited Turkish tea. The staff is very friendly and the service is fast. Highly recommended!

The gözleme was fresh, crispy, and full of flavor, and the serpme kahvaltısı was a true feast on the table, flavorful and prepared with care. What makes this place truly special is the young staff: incredibly friendly, helpful, and with so much attention to the guests. We felt welcome immediately. It was my first time there, but I didn't expect the staff to treat me so poorly. The woman who took my order was grumpy and rude. I felt completely uncomfortable in this restaurant and I won't be returning. The service was truly terrible. Please find more friendly and customer-focused staff to welcome people more warmly.

I ordered a gözleme. After waiting 15 minutes, it was burnt. The lady shamelessly gave it to me. I thought: okay, maybe it'll still taste good. It just tasted like burnt dough. I ended up sending the gözleme back and got a good one. It was fine, I was satisfied. Then I asked if I could order another gözleme to go. I got home (yes, I know, stupid not to check) and of course… it was burnt again. In short: terrible service and zero respect for people. Truly disgraceful.

Out of curiosity, we went in for a cappuccino. The atmosphere was pleasant. But we had to wait a long time for the cappuccino, which, to our disappointment, was lukewarm. There were very noisy children spitting at each other and running around. Such a shame...

It took a very long time for our food to arrive, and during our meal, we weren't asked once if everything was to our liking. The shop is nice, although the tables are a bit cramped. Furthermore, the tables were unclean, and there was visibly dirt on the floor, including food scraps from previous guests. I finally placed the order online, even though the restaurant wasn't busy at the time. The atmosphere is fine, but the hygiene is poor. The tables and chairs are loose and feel unstable, the tables weren't clean, and there was visible dirt on the floor, including food scraps from previous guests. Moreover, there were ants crawling around the place, which left an unhygienic impression. All in all, this was a very disappointing experience in every way: food, drinks, service, and hygiene. I cannot recommend this restaurant based on my experience.

Disappointing experience at Ekmekci Dordrecht I had high expectations for Ekmekci Dordrecht after all the positive reviews, but unfortunately, my visit was anything but good. The service was disinterested and kept us waiting for ages, even when it wasn't busy. When our food finally arrived, it was lukewarm and the flavors were incredibly disappointing—dry bread, tasteless filling, and not at all fresh. The hygiene also left much to be desired. The table was sticky and the restrooms were dirty. For the price you pay, you expect at least quality and service, but this was neither. Definitely not recommended. There are plenty of other places in Dordrecht where you'll receive much better and friendlier service.

We waited 30 minutes for our drinks, and the kumpirs arrived after 45 minutes. The restaurant was sparsely populated, so the wait was definitely too long. Only after we reminded the waitress that we'd already been waiting 30 minutes for our drinks did she finally bring them to our table. The kumpirs were the worst I've ever eaten.

It's a nice place to eat. The Turkish pizza is really delicious. The only problem is the cashier. Today I went to eat at Ekmeci Dordrecht and wanted to pay in installments, both with cash and debit card. I politely indicated this, then the woman at the counter, who can't even speak Dutch, asked me in Turkish two or three times: "Didn't you really have everything on your debit card?"
