Well, it is okay, but given the price, you would expect a bit more, especially regarding the dishes, and particularly the starters and the garnish with the main course. The starter is a bit meager, especially considering how the plate is presented. The flavors are good, though I honestly don't know if the quantity of the main course reaches the stated number of grams. The service, by the way, is more than fine!

Delicious tournedo, tender meat, my top 3 restaurant. Also the spareribs, which are unlimited all week long. Definitely recommended to go eat here. But watch out, because once you do, you'll be hooked and you'll be eating here regularly.

It looks a bit like an old brown pub, but it is incredibly cozy. The staff is very friendly and efficient, and the food is always better than expected! There is a large open kitchen where you can see that all the food is prepared fresh and with passion. I have been there several times now and can recommend it to everyone!

Delicious cuts of meat, always tasty and full of flavor. They don't make a fuss about a double stage of meat either. We love coming here.

I thoroughly enjoyed myself here and had a positive experience. We had made a reservation for a large group of 11 people, but that was no problem at all. Even when we arrived a little late and had informed them by phone, it was handled very pleasantly. The menu offers a wide selection of delicacies. After receiving a complimentary appetizer, our orders were served surprisingly quickly. We all had a delicious meal and enjoyed the atmospheric decor and the music. The staff was friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout the evening. I would love to come back here again.

Well, the steak was good, but the better wines they had on offer couldn't be ordered on weekdays. Only a Tempranillo and a (far too young) Malbec. As far as I'm concerned, steak calls for a robust red wine. Like a kid in a candy store without being allowed to buy candy. Shame, we'll be skipping El Caballero from now on.

For us, this has been a place we love going to with the family for years to celebrate something. Always fantastic. It was a bit less impressive for a while, but the last time was lovely and cozy again. And yes, the fries with mayo are top-notch. I hope you keep going for many more years.

This was the only place where we could have dinner in this small town. All the other spots didn't offer any food, and it was late in the evening—we were really desperate and starving. Then we came across this amazing restaurant, and they were so quick and friendly. They served us promptly, and the menu was fantastic—our dinner was just perfect. They were so accommodating, and we are truly, truly happy. We highly recommend this restaurant to everyone!

Delicious unlimited spare ribs and friendly service. A bit pricey, but definitely quality!

I've never been treated so poorly in a restaurant. When the employee/owner asks if you enjoyed your meal and you say yes, it was delicious, but it was a bit burnt, he goes completely crazy. He says it's not burnt, and he even takes our plate to another table where people are sitting to say, "This isn't burnt," just to get them right. This was ridiculous. He can't handle criticism at all. And there are people waiting in line for a table. They expect you to eat quickly and leave so the next people can be seated. So you're not comfortable either. Full is full, I suppose. Never again for us. So, for the others, be warned before you criticize.

Our plan was to have a nice, relaxed dinner together at the Argentine restaurant. When we walked in, we were immediately asked to choose our meal. We told them we would first like to have a drink, which was accepted. We decided to take the unlimited spare ribs menu. The first portion was fine, not what you would expect from an Argentine restaurant, but still okay. The second round was really worse. Not completely burned, but very close to it. We basically had to scrape the meat with our knives to separate it from the burnt parts. Still, we tried to keep the evening enjoyable and continued eating. After the second plate, the owner came by and asked if we had enjoyed the food. Our answer was: yes, we had enjoyed the evening, but the meat was close to being burned. The owner immediately reacted defensively. He said that next time he would cook it in boiled water, because this was normal and that this is how it is supposed to be. Even after we explained several times that we were not angry or disappointed, he took a leftover piece from our plate and walked around to other tables to prove that he was right. This was extremely disrespectful, and we decided to pay and leave. Good luck with your restaurant. From us, a very poor rating for the food, and especially for your rude attitude!

I sometimes come here with my dad for a father-son day. Always delicious food and a pleasant chat. The food is by far the best I've ever had in my entire life, especially the spare ribs. I can't get enough! ❤❤❤

I ate here last night, and to my surprise, an hour later I felt half sick from diarrhea to the point of vomiting. I don't know what happened, maybe the wrong piece of meat, maybe the red sauce was out of date, but it's not tasty after spending a fortune.

We went for dinner for the first time, even though we'd been planning to for ages. We sat upstairs, which was pleasantly busy, but definitely not too busy. It's cozy and looks nice, though it's a shame they're a bit behind on the atmosphere. Valentine's Day has been over for a while, and there are still hearts hanging in the windows and a balloon full of them. There were also some cobwebs here and there between the lamps, and it was a bit dusty in some places. We'll definitely be back.

We dined here on Valentine's Day. We were with our eldest daughter and our baby. We had mentioned that we were bringing a stroller, and they were very accommodating. It was very busy and there were plenty of staff. They worked incredibly hard, and the food flew out of the kitchen. We had a starter, main course, and dessert. Everything was delicious, and the meat was incredibly tender. There was an apology at one point for the delayed arrival of the main course, but it wasn't too bad. We had a truly delicious meal, and we will definitely be back!

It was a busy evening, with staff rushing back and forth. People kept coming in, all with reservations, and we had to wait an hour to be seated. After being seated, we had to wait an hour before we could order anything, even though we had reservations. We only received one course in three hours, and then the wrong bill arrived, and not even an apology.

Reservations on Valentine's Day Reserved 8:00 PM a week in advance and received confirmation. Then, you wait almost an hour for a table with a large number of other customers. When we got a table, drinks were taken. After fifteen minutes, no drinks, no menu. The tables around us were helped very quickly. Contact with the staff was almost impossible because it was so incredibly busy. Finally, after waiting for 1 hour and 20 minutes, we decided to get takeout from the grillroom around the corner. No offense to the hard-working staff; having to run around all evening because your boss is approving way too many reservations is not fun. I was told this happens often on holidays. Otherwise, a great restaurant, the food is always delicious, but for special occasions, you might want to book somewhere else. To whoever took all the reservations: Do better. For your customers and staff.

As soon as you walk in, you can smell the delicious aroma of grilled meat. We come here regularly, and it's always fantastic! Friendly service, who certainly don't push to refill every empty glass. I'd rather ask for a refill than be pressured. Downstairs, by the window, it can get a bit chilly in the winter because of the door that keeps opening and closing. The food comes out quickly, even on busy (Friday) days. Perfect for us who want a quick bite to eat.

After a disappointing experience at another Argentinian restaurant, we finally ate here. What a relief! A cozy atmosphere, a clean restaurant, friendly and competent staff, and incredibly good food. It was a shame, though, that the staff didn't really have their own designated area for tables. As a result, different people asked the same question multiple times. That got a bit annoying at one point. But other than that, we had a wonderful evening with exceptionally good food. We'll definitely be back!

What happened here? The meat used to be good, but lately it was just awful. The service was also really slow. It's a shame, but definitely not worth the money anymore.

We regularly go to El Cabbalerro, and I must say it's always good. This time, our daughter invited us, who loved to treat us. And on this special evening for her, everything went wrong, at least at our table. The service was a complete mess. Fifteen minutes had passed before we saw anyone at our table for a drink. My granddaughter's Lipton ice tea turned into a Lipton Ice Sparkling. We got a strange reaction when we said she doesn't drink that yet. Would you like to keep it for someone else? No, we want a different one. After that, we waited half an hour for the menu, which we then went to get ourselves. We looked at everything, but again, no one came to us. Meanwhile, other guests who arrived later were already eating, so there wasn't much organization in the planning. We asked again if we could order. That was already a huge annoyance, and I said, "Don't let this ruin the evening." Well, I finally ordered after an hour, but still nothing, so I had to find staff again. Then they took action and everything was served. My daughter and son-in-law had salmon. With the first bite, they both noticed the salmon was raw inside. I took the plate to the server and told them so. She immediately told them she didn't want it anymore, and sure enough, after 5 minutes, she returned with the plate and said we'd thrown the salmon back. My daughter was done with it. She said, "I don't want it anymore," which makes sense, because raw fish isn't very tasty. The next day, both of them had stomach problems. And then course three, which also took half an hour for ice cream. The cappuccino never arrived, but it was on the bill. The boss did remove the salmon steak from the bill, but we thought that was understandable. Nothing else was offered to end our evening on a good note. Unfortunately, we went home feeling bad. The gesture from our daughter and son-in-law was fantastic, but the poor service, which took the time to smoke outside, made it a bit of a disappointment.

We eat here fairly regularly. Little seems to have changed. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious food.

What a nice nice place. We think the most comfortable place is downstairs. But that's personal. The food is delicious, we went for the 5 course dinner. This is really a lot, so make sure you don't have too much that day. Because it is enjoyment.

Na de bezoekdatum groots in de agenda gezet te hebben waren wij met een groep van 16 personen uit eten gegaan in dit restaurant. Volgens de kaart zouden de spareribs uit dit restaurant goed zijn aangeschreven en werd door het merendeel van de groep gekozen voor de spareribs. De keuze kon gemaakt worden uit zoet, pikant en knoflook. Nadat er voor 16 personen een voorgerecht werd uitgeserveerd, duurde het ons inziens behoorlijk lang voordat de eerste ronde van het hoofdgerecht werd uitgeserveerd. Door mij werd gekozen voor de zoete sparerib. Ondanks dat deze wel warm werd opgediend, was de uitnodiging om aan te vallen zowel op smaak als voor het oog ver te zoeken. Ook bleef er voor een bedrijf wat zo geroemd wordt om zijn spareribs, mijn inziens, te veel vlees hangen aan het bot van de ribs. Bij ronde twee ging de kwaliteit van het vlees achteruit. Helaas werd deze droger en voelde ik me niet uitgenodigd deze met huid en haar te willen verslinden. Was tevens de sparerib met zoete marinade. Bij ronde drie en tevens de laatste ronde maakte ik een uitstapje naar knoflook om te ervaren of deze de zoete marinade wel kon overtreffen. Helaas had ik beter deze ronde kunnen overslaan. Deze sparerib was zo kurkdroog dat ik het merendeel van deze rank spareribs heb laten liggen, tevens was deze aan de onderzijde flink aangebrand. Napratend over de gehele avond waren er meerdere genodigden die een erg bittere nasmaak overgehouden hebben aan het nuttigen van de onbeperkte spareribs. Helaas waren deze gangen niet Argentijns-waardig. Hopelijk kan de eigenaar binnen afzienbare tijd het roer omgooien.

Went here for dinner with three friends on the recommendation. All three of us had eaten unlimited spare ribs. Tasted very good. Service was friendly and very fast. I found the interior of the restaurant to be authentic, cozy and clean as far as I could see. Prices were reasonable. Summary of an old-fashioned good meal. Very good.

Tastiest ribs in the world. Super tender and really fall off the bone. The sauce is also very tasty, especially the sweet one. The salads and fries are also always good. The table grill is very nice and tasty and the steaks are also great. The service varies a lot, sometimes it is super fast and very friendly and other times it takes a very long time and everything has to be done quickly, which makes the service seem a bit surly. You can occasionally speak Dutch here on a limited basis. Some staff do not know the language at all or not at all. English is generally doable. Although this is not a problem for me personally, it may be something to take into account if you have difficulty with it. If you know the area, parking is not an issue, but I can imagine that it is difficult for others to find a parking space. It is very limited in front of the door and is usually full. There is a larger parking lot behind the restaurant, but it is not very easy to find as you first have to drive into the neighborhood and there is a lot of one-way traffic. During corona we also had ribs delivered once, which was really fantastic. Good quantity and still very warm. I don't know if it is still possible now, but I would definitely recommend it if this is still the case!

Ate upstairs in the restaurant. Apparently in the damn corner. Had to walk to the service a few times to get attention. Had to wait more than half an hour for the starter and then another half hour before they came to clear it out. Quality of the food is fine. 1 toilet for the entire restaurant is very little. It was also clear at the end of the evening. 1 big gang.

Had a delicious meal at El Caballero again tonight. We have enjoyed eating there for years. The sweet spareribs are very tasty but the tournedos is also very good. For dessert I always have the white chocolate mousse... mmm

Went there for the first time last night with a total of 4 people. It was already quite busy. Drinks went super smoothly, then had to walk to staff several times for the menus, where the drinks were, a wine cooler, in other words it was a bit too busy for the number of staff there. They were actually running, but didn't look up or back. That was a shame. The food was delicious, the service was friendly, but was simply too busy. Like everywhere there is probably a shortage of staff, but take fewer tables. The atmosphere of the round benches was very nice, but the chandelier hanging above could use some cleaning. When you see that, you start to have doubts about the rest. And if there is no time for that, hang simpler lamps that are easy to clean. Because if you have to wait so long for staff, you start looking around. We will definitely come back again, because the food was delicious, hopefully the rest will go well. They definitely deserve a second chance because the meat was really good.

I have known the owner for 29 years. First his restaurant in Alphen aan den Rijn, and later in Waddinxveen. Sublime spare ribs. You don't eat them like this elsewhere. The rest of the menu is also great. I'd happily drive around for such good meat!

The meal was excellent, although the spareribs were cold the first time. After indicating this to the waiter, they came back warm (fortunately). The first seat in the corner by the window was very draughty, so we moved to another spot after five minutes. All in all the food and service were excellent and that's what you come for in the end.

Mijn man heeft mij getrakteerd voor mijn verjaardag, een avondje eten aan deze restaurant. Ik had spare ribs besteld. Helaas de spare ribs waren te lang gekookt dat er geen smaak meer heeft en daarna gegrild dat het verbrand was en had een bittere smaak. Voor een Argentijns restaurant verwacht ik een kwaliteit vlees. Daar zijn Argentijns bekend voor.Jammer. De verwarming was ook niet aan dat ik heel koud had gehad.

Wild Wild West at the restaurant. Let me share with you the juicy details as hot as a Netflix original. We were seated at the table without receiving menu cards. After a while, I signaled a waiter and he proceeded immediately to ask us what we wished to drink. I kindly asked for the menu first to which he replied: "FIRST DRINKS, the drinks are not displayed on the menu either way". Yes, people, I counted to ten trying to not lose my patience. We ordered drinks and received the menu cards, and he brought the drinks to the table by just placing them at the end of the table, like where are his manners? Anyways, we are now ordering food. My friend asked for her steak to be medium-well, he did not know what medium-well meant. I am trying to count to 100 because I was this 👌🏽 close to losing it. After a while of back and forth between my friend and the waiter, my friend told him that medium is also OK as he did not understand the term "medium-well". She requested for her steak and her fries to be without salt, he did not understand that either, hmmm. I stood up to get another waiter because how can you work at a restaurant and not even have basic knowledge of food? Now to the highlight of the night. After we were done eating; there were two kitchen staff fighting in the open kitchen. Everybody was sitting in shock looking at the drama happening in the kitchen. It calmed down for like 10 minutes, afterward they were having it again, and the chef screamed that he would quit and nobody would eat anymore. The waiters kept attending the tables, it felt awkward and uncomfortable. Nobody came to say sorry for the drama, or for ruining the atmosphere. We didn't want to stay any minute longer. We paid and immediately left without having a dessert. The food was good but not worth all this drama. Hasta la vista, not 🤣

Excellent food and attentive and friendly service. A bit difficult acoustics and a somewhat cramped five-person table. But the food was delicious and that's the most important thing.

Het eten is altijd prima, niks op aan te merken. De bediening was wederom matig. Het was op Kerstavond druk maar dat mag geen excuus zijn vinden we. We zaten nog maar net en gelijk de vraag wat we wilden drinken, menukaarten werden op tafel gegooid i.p.v. even netjes overhandigd. Borden gehaast en met een klap op tafel gezet. Echt jammer want zoals gezegd is het eten en de entourage prima. Bediening matig met uitzondering van de eigenaar die erg beleefd over komt, nog even een foto van ons maakte en rustig was.
