Great food. Good value. Beautiful location on the Meuse River. If you're lucky, you can eat right on the Meuse.

Tried the Mousakas and Gyros Fournou and they were both excellent. I would definitely recommend

Gisteravond met een kennis geweest eten. We hadden de zalm en ossenhaas met onvergetelijk heerlijke groenten en frites en rijst. Het smaakte echt super lekker! En vooral niet de bediening vergeten, ontzettend gastvrij en vriendelijk. In elk geval voor herhaling vatbaar ✌️✌️Dank jullie wel!

Extremely delicious food! I had the gyro, my boyfriend had the fish. The side dishes were excellent. Very tasty bulgur, orzo pasta, vegetables, and fries. I've rarely eaten fries so delicious. The fish was also very tasty. The tzatziki and pita were just like I'm used to from Greece. The ambiance was also very nice. We sat by the canal in perfect weather, but the interior was also very nice. All in all, I highly recommend this restaurant. We'll be back next time we're in Maastricht! :)

Last minute reservering gemaakt en eigenijk net even te laat aangeschoven ivm de sluitingstijd van de keuken. Desondanks zeer vriendelijke bediening die alle tijd voor ons nam en deze ook gaf. Niets haasten omdat sluitingstijd er aan kwam, gewoon alsnog op het gemak kunnen eten. Mooie beknopte kaart, zeker vergeleken met andere Griekse restaurants, maar meer dan voldoende keuze voor iedereen. De porties zijn royaal te noemen. De smaak is super en de opmaak van de borden is ook aandacht aan besteed. De locatie, zo langs de Maas, is leuk zitten op het terras. Helaas niet aan het water, dat doen we de volgende keer dan maar. Zeker een aanrader!

Well, the kitchen closed at 9:45 p.m., but drinks were only available with meals. We were asked to leave because drinks were only available for guests who had already arrived for dinner. So I won't have to eat anything in the future either!

Favorite Greek restaurant in Maastricht!

Een Grieks restaurant, maar dan wel in een iets beter segment. Geen super uitgebreide kaart van 10 pagina's. Geen vreetschuur achtige taferelen. Nee, een kleinere kaart met minder keuze, maar wel heel erg lekker. Ook meer oog voor presentatie en opdiening. Gerechten als Gyros en souvlaki staan er gewoon op. Ook moussaka (met vlees of de vega variant) staan op de kaart. Uiteraard ook wat schotel voor 2 of meer personen en desserts. Reserveren is aan te bevelen, maar toen wij er kwamen (vrijdag avond) waren er ook nog tafeltjes beschikbaar voor inloop. Het restaurant ligt een beetje uit de looop waardoor het wat rustiger is. Dat is wel fijn, je kunt op je gemak eten. Geen gedoe met een overvol restaurant en veel kabaal. Het eten is erg lekker. Porties zijn groot genoeg, mooi opgediend. Puur op gevoel, niet duurder dan andere Griekse restaurants. Er zal vast een prijsverschil zijn, maar veel is het niet. Het restaurant heeft ook een terras. Dus bij goed weer kun je buiten zitten met enkele tafeltjes langs het water. Een leuke avond gehad met lekker eten.

You immediately feel like you are in a Greek atmosphere in this restaurant! The friendly attitude of the staff makes you feel welcome. The food is delicious and the portions are more than enough. The baklava I tasted here was even tastier than in Greece. Highly recommended!

De locatie ligt aan de oude brug aan de maas in Maastricht, mooie zaak, fijne sfeer, maar bovenal lekker gegeten, voorgerecht diverse gebakken tapas, o.a. grote garnalen, inktvis en mosselen. Hoofdgerecht mannen biefstuk met heerlijke saus, lamskotelet, gyros. Dames alleen gyros, alles top en lekker op smaak. Reservering is aan te raden. Komen hier zeker nog terug

This restaurant really deserves its 5 stars. I had the fried mussels, the aristotelis dish and a delicious rosé wine. The meat was nice and tender with the right flavors and beautifully presented on the plate. My family was also licking their fingers. The staff was very friendly and the interior was nicely decorated and warm. We had a very nice evening.

Exceptional in every way. Welcoming host and staff. Extensive menu. Generous portions. Really great Greek Wine and Oozo. There is nothing negative I can say, it was all really delicious and authentic. We called last minute and the sweet owner was able to fit us in if we came early. So glad we made it happen. I love that they share their story on the website, it enhanced our experience. I would take the 3 hour train ride again just to eat here, but plan ahead next time! We did the Ellinikon Menu for two with Greek salad and fries. Had the semi sweet white. All 5*

Delicious food! The staff runs out of their way to please everyone. Very tiny tip, no mustard dressing in the salad but tasty Olive oil, vinegar and olives!

This Greek restaurant does not serve mountains of over-seasoned, overly salty meat, what a relief. The baklava was the tastiest I've ever had. Also excellent wines and the welcome ouzo was first class. We can highly recommend this restaurant!

Authentic cuisine, you can feel the love that goes into it. Delicious and comforting Saganaki, the same goes for Stifado. This Sunday evening, service and warm atmosphere.

We waited for food and drinks for almost an hour. Only 2 waiters for the entire restaurant. Who's luckier? But everything is polite and pleasant.

Our dinner at Ellinkon was absolutely stunning - greeted with a Ouzo on the house we had phenomal starters but the real event were the meat dishes the steak in mushroom sauce was one of the best I ever had, the lamb chops also perfect. Fast and welcoming service even for a group 10 guests shortly before Christmas. I can only recommend going for a dinner at Ellinkon!

As lovers of Greek cuisine, we have already visited several Greek restaurants. This one was actually missing from our list. After having a delicious meal here, we are sure that we will come back here. Actually, this restaurant cannot be compared to the other Greek cuisines in the city. This is in a class of its own. We chose the Ellinikon dish for two people, which was very worthwhile. Nice and tender meat, tasty fries and vegetables, not to mention the Greek salad. Furthermore, a nice restaurant with very friendly and helpful staff in a nice location right on the Maas in Maastricht.

Als liefhebber van de Griekse keuken hebben we al diverse Griekse restaurants bezocht. Deze ontbrak eigenlijk nog op ons lijstje. Na hier heerlijk gegeten te hebben weten we zeker dat we hier gaan terugkomen. Eigenlijk is dit restaurant niet te vergelijken met de andere Griekse keukens in de stad. Dit is een klassse apart. We kozen voor de Ellinikon schotel voor twee personen,deze was zeer de moeite waard. Lekker mals vlees, lekkere frietjes en groenten en niet te vergetene de Griekse salade. Verder leuk restaurantje met zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel op een leuke lokatie vlak aan de Maas in Maastricht.

Este es el tercer año consecutivo que visitamos este increíble restaurante y cada año nunca deja de decepcionar. ¡El personal incluso se acordó de nosotros! Si incluso estás pensando en visitar este restaurante, sin duda te recomendaría RESERVAR, ya que tiene un montón de gente decepcionada cuando no pueden conseguir una mesa en la oportunidad. La comida está recién cocinada, por lo que a veces puede tardar un poco en llegar, y las porciones son bastante grandes, pero no hay prisa y ciertamente no tienen un límite de tiempo en su mesa, como algunos restaurantes tienen.

Today we ate at Ellinikon for the second time. It was very busy in the restaurant, but the staff worked very hard, which made the service very smooth. And all with a smile and the occasional joke, what great service! In addition, the food was also very tasty. This is by far the best Greek I have eaten so far! You'll see me again anyway :)

A nice visit to the Greek in Maastricht. The restaurant was recommended by a young woman from Maastricht, whom we spoke to on the street. A very nice restaurant on the river bank. Really very caring service and extremely nice staff. An ouzo to welcome you and sweets for good breath at the end. The food was also delicious. The salad had great dressing, the fries were absolutely great. The meat was nicely prepared. We didn't really like the eggplant, there was a strange aftertaste that we couldn't define. The potato gratin was well prepared and had the right composition. We give three stars for the food. Because we think there is still room for improvement. Nevertheless, a recommendation to test the restaurant. In total we paid €70 for all the things shown in the photo.

Het terras ligt mooi aan de Maas. Aan de Griekse gerechten is in de keuken aandacht besteed. Lekker! Zulke grote gamba’s hebben we niet eerder gezien in een restaurant in Nederland. Het personeel is vriendelijk.

Heerlijk Grieks gegeten hier. Goed en vriendelijk personeel zo langs de maas. Goede sfeer. We hebben wat voorgerechten genomen en laten samenstellen door dd chef. Souvlaki was lekker maks, Gyros iets te doorbakken maar op smaak. Ossenhaas is ook aan te bevelen en de moussaka was ruim en smaakvol. Kortom prima restaurant voor een goede maaltijd.

We eten regelmatig Grieks, maar dit restaurant is een klasse apart. Vriendelijk personeel, mooie selectie op de kaart en, zeer belangrijk, de kwaliteit was onovertroffen!

Delicious Greek food. Possibly the best I've ever had. Good service and help with choosing between all the tasty things on the menu. Trio dips are highly recommended and the bifteki was very tasty and tender. You can also sit outside on the Maas in the setting sun.

Greek cuisine is one of my favorites. But I can say that the food here is prepared with care, nothing too salty or too sweet, just in good doses. The team knows what they are doing and what they stand for, in this case Quality!

Will not focus on the food quality, however it could be better. Gyros was far from native Greek gyros. The bad thing was extremely long waiting time for the menu and later ordered dishes. But the worst was bartender’s trick of brining ordered wine not even in the opened bottle, but in the dish for house wine, explaining it is a normal restaurant practice. And wine was with a cork decease! Not mortal, but still you can feel it. There were positive things - they have one guy that is communicative and helpful and they have one the best souses for the Greek dishes (some special one - not tzatziki, not mayo).

Excellent restaurant - excellent service - very high quality and great preparation of the delicious products - we were able to sit directly on the Maas in bright sunshine - great wines - starters and main courses are all highly recommended - again at any time!
