Eten bij Tanja in Grave

Gastvrije ontvangst door Tanja in relaxte sfeer. Super lekker gekookte zalm en karkówka (varkensvlees uit oven) gegeten en biertje gedronken uit Oekraïne.

In Grave liepen wij toevallig langs regen lunchtijd. Zeer gastvrij ontvangen door Tanja. Ze vertelde vol trots over de Oekraiense gerechten op de menukaart. Alles zelf vers gemaakt. Wij kozen voor de Cheburek; gekruid vlees met een krokante korst en de Wareniki, gekookte pasta met een vulling vaan aardappel en zuurkool met champignons. Als dessert hebben we een toetje genoten van bladerdeeg met een vanille creme vulling, uiteraard home-made. Heerlijk gegeten tegen een zeer redelijke prijs.

Good honest food. Had a lovely lunch here. The lady, was explaining everything (do not cut the pelmeni try it with vinegar or sourcream. She told us, eat this first, and if you are more hungry, order more. We had soup, salad and dumpling. That was more than enough for lunch.

Authentic Ukrainian restaurant, great atmosphere with Ukrainian music and dishes😍. We stopped by for lunch and were very satisfied with the service and dishes. This is the impression as if they came to grandma's in the village for bacon and borscht. This is a small family restaurant, served by the hostess, who is also the owner. Dishes are prepared at home with the husband! we will come again! And I recommend it to you!

Today we were at a restaurant. We were 15 minutes late and Tanya, with a gloomy face, told us that we were late and therefore we had to wait a whole hour for Kiev cutlets! She is alone, but there are many of us!🤦Okay, we'll wait. But was it really impossible to make the cutlets in advance and keep them in the freezer?! They asked for uzvar, and she said it was over! It's four o'clock in the afternoon! We drove 1.5 hours from Tilburg to hear this??? Somehow, after 30 years of living in the Netherlands, we had become unaccustomed to Soviet service, but now we encountered it. We won't go there again!

The service was excellent. We were greeted with a warm smile and even though we didn't have a reservation and all the tables were reserved, the hostess was still able to fit us in. She was very kind, polite and helpful. The drinks and food were like a wonderful memory from my childhood. Kompot tasted exactly like the one my mother used to make, a perfect combination of autumn fruits. The soup, borsh, was extremely similar to what my dad makes, tasty, balanced mouth watering good. The meat in goulash was so soft, it felt as if it was melting away while eating. The sauce itself was with a hint of spicy, just as it should be. For dessert we had Medevik and Napoleon pies, both very delicious, very sweet (but not too sweet) in the best kind of way. We are very happy and even grateful for this amazing experience.

Had a great evening at Eten bij Tanja. Upon entering I had the feeling that I was entering a very cozy family restaurant. The atmosphere was very pleasant. We were also very kindly welcomed by the hospitable hostess Tanja. In any case, she made me feel very welcome, and then the food still had to come 😋 Tanja and her family are really great. Apparently Friday was BBQ night, so we opted for that. It was a full plate and very tasty. I also really enjoyed the Ukrainian beer and vodka. Until next time!

Me and my friends had an amazing experience at the place. The food was just great, we tried a little bit of everything, including the amazing Napoleon dessert. The host is a super nice woman who guided us through the menu pointing out the best picks. It truly felt like home, and my Dutch friends also loved every dish. Thank you for this lovely experience, and definitely will be back again!

Hartelijke, gastvrije ontvangst in een gezellige Oekraïense taveerne, met eerlijke Oost-Europese kost. Goulash, borsjt, mals mals mals varkensvlees met champignonsaus. Alles zelfgemaakt en vers. Gezonde portie groente bij het eten, een aangenaam contrast met veel andere restaurants. Desserts zagen er ook heerlijk uit maar helaas moest ik voor werk weer door. Prima prijs-kwaliteitverhouding. De volgende keer in Grave kom ik hier weer!

A charming cozy restaurant with a well-rounded list of East - European dishes, with an accent on Ukrainian cuisine. Definitely try Karkowka or Goulash, salo, and Pelmeni or Vareniki. If you are into desserts, we have tries the Napoléon and Medovik cakes, those are to die for! Cheburek is a very good classic, but if you have ever tried the originally Crimean dish before, you would not expect that much meat without the usual juiciness you are used to. The staff is super friendly, attentive, and speaks Dutch, Ukrainian, Polish, English, at minimum. Absolutely recommended!

About the food, I ordered a latte machiato and it was not as good as I hoped for it to be but the other food (grilled pork with potatoes and salad) was great. Also we ordered a Napoleon cake and it was quite sweet but overall pretty good. The sfeer was overall great and so was the service.

Heel erg vriendelijk! Heerlijk eten! Wij hebben met 7 mensen meerdere gerechten geprobeerd. Heerlijk! Echt een aanrader!

Poeh De prijzen zijn flink duurder geworden, 22,50!! voor een schnitzel ipv van 18.50 van eerder. Dit wordt te duur. Helaas. Service en sfeer blijft top met huiskamergevoel.

Heel leuk plekje om te eten. We konden er al rond 15.30 uur terecht om buiten op het terrasje uitgebreid te tafelen. Borsch, pelmeni en karkowa, allemaal lekker. Tanja heel vriendelijk en kwam met de goede suggestie om gerechten te delen. Ook het zelfgebakken gebak/taart is de moeite waard (wel vrij machtig dus houd er nog een ‘gaatje’ voor vrij)

Heerlijk gegeten en lekkere gerechten uit de regio van de Oekraïne. Kleine gerechten maar zeker de moeite waard. Eigenaresse denkt mee en is vriendelijk. Vrijdag avond is er ook van de bbq eten mogelijk. Buiten eten is mogelijk maar beperkt aantal tafels.

Heerlijk gegeten, super vriendelijk en een hele leuke sfeer. Bedankt voor de leuke avond.

Een fijne huiskamersfeer en een gastvrouw die heerlijk eten serveert! Zachte achtergrondmuziek en een fijne akoestiek. En eten dat overblijft mee naar huis nemen is geen probleem; er zijn schaaltjes en tassen beschikbaar.

Kwaliteit vóór diversiteit. Klein restaurant gerund door twee eerlijke mensen. Eenvoudig maar de kwaliteit is dubbel plus!!

Prima eten, betaalbaar, prima porties. Vriendelijke hulpvaardige eigenaren. Zeer goed bevallen en we komen zeker terug.

Heel leuk met 15 collega's gegeten bij 'Eten bij Tanja'. Tanja had ons een heerlijk 3-4 gangen diner voorgeschoteld en heeft ons een topavond bezorgd!

Wij hebben hier met een teamuitje gegeten. Tanja is ontzettend gastvrij en klantvriendelijk en ze zorgt ervoor dat je je thuis voelt in het restaurant. De bediening is top en het eten was ook echt ontzettend lekker. Ik heb genoten!

Gisteren voor de eerste keer bij Tanja gegeten. Het eten was heerlijk en de sfeer die er hangt is heel gemoedelijk, Bedankt!

Er was een huiselijk sfeer binnen, ongedwongen, rustig, mooi en traditioneel bekleed. Over alles is er nagedacht. De gerechten zijn erg lekker en met liefde voor je klaargemaakt. Tanja zelf is vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Zij doet er alles aan, zodat je je thuis voelt en kunt genieten van jouw bezoek. Deze plek beveel ik aan.

Gezellig en gastvrij etablissement, in het historisch centrum (Rogstraat) van de veste Grave, met o.m. goulash- gerechten. De goede gastvrouwe is een Oekraïnse. Het meubilair komt ook uit die regio en zo ook de aankleding van het interieur. Ook voor de kleinere portemonnee: een ware aanrader. Op foto-3, sta je rechts, bijna voor de deur van deze eetgelegenheid.

Zoals in andere reviews beschreven, prima tent! Ik ga hier zeker weer terug. Geen spannende gerechten, maar goede ingrediënten. Niet te duur. En prima sfeertje.

Ik kan er weinig aan toe voegen. Je wordt gewardeerd als gast. Eten is relatief simpel, maar goede ingrediënten. Tanja is erg aardig en behulpzaam. Met zijn tweeën ben je rond de €70,- kwijt voor 3 gangen en drinken.

Heerlijk gegeten, Oosteuropees is heel lekker! Asl er in Grave iets te doen is, dan staan ze buiten met een BBQ. Neem dan vooral zo'n "wrap", want die zijn niet te versmaden!
