We had dinner at De Roerdomp tonight. Fantastic chef. We preferred not to have fries, so she suggested a salad. That's thinking ahead. For dessert, too, we preferred advocaat instead of speculoos. No problem at all. A smaller portion wasn't a problem either. Nothing but praise for this restaurant. 👍

We had a delicious meal! A cozy place to eat by the water. We came for lunch and ordered several items from the bar menu (the platter for 2 people is highly recommended!). The only downside was that the girls were so busy outside that they occasionally forgot about us when we wanted something to drink.

3 stars. This is not to rate the restaurant, but because upon arrival we saw that you cannot smoke a cigarette outside on the terrace. We left immediately and went somewhere else for a drink.

We had a lovely lunch. We are staying at the campsite nearby. We were in the mood to celebrate our holiday. We cheerfully trudged in. I was on crutches. We were welcomed very kindly. Sometimes I come across this and I am genuinely happy. Businesses and staff that understand what hospitality means. How do you act as the face of the business and, above all, how do you provide visitors with an extremely pleasant experience? It went well right away. We were received in our own open way. Ah, we are welcome, and not too much. Kudos to the staff. Wonderfully open and direct communication. I love it. We all ordered something tasty. I had a sandwich with three different types of fish. I was still wondering how they were going to do that. Well, they succeeded in doing it in a delicious way. Preparing food is an art. Believe me. Tastes good. Quantity good. Why not 5 stars for the food then, you might ask? Well, that is actually due to what I saw and heard from my table companions. And also how the table is set up. Very good, but there were still some minor remarks. Moving on to my sandwich. It is truly worth 5 stars. Really enjoyed it. And of course, the overall impression. Clean. It looks neatly organized. With lovely little texts here and there, or as it looks, personal touches. On the recommendation of a waitress, we are also going for dinner. With such a lovely lunch, I think they should do their best to surpass that. Given my current experience, I think that will work out fine. Just stay yourselves, waitstaff. I certainly appreciate that. If you are in the area, it is highly recommended.

Enjoy a beautiful summer evening with a view of the Rotte River, the Prins Alexander Rowing Course, and the Rotterdam skyline. The menu offers plenty of choices, and what struck us was how carefully the dishes were presented. For example, the accompanying fries come in a paper bag to prevent them from cooling down too quickly—a clever touch. In short, we had a fantastic evening and highly recommend a visit to De Roerdomp.

I've been coming here for 10 years; it's the perfect spot to grab a bite and a drink if you're taking a walk or bike ride along the Rottermeren. A beautiful spot with a nice view. Pleasant atmosphere and decor. The menu is clear, simple, tasty, just right. My only comment the last few times is regarding the staff. They didn't really greet us when we came in; it wasn't busy, about 10 customers, but the young staff didn't really realize we were there. They were standing at the bar talking to each other, so it took well over 15 minutes before they came to our table to ask what we wanted to drink. Later, we also had to ask for the lunch menu ourselves, wait a long time again, and approach someone to order. The wait staff did go out multiple times (double shifts) to other tables of customers who came in after us, so it feels like some direction is needed, or perhaps service zones could be agreed upon regarding who does what or manages what. Otherwise, the food and drinks were fine.

They can accommodate any diet. They are always helpful and are super hospitable, knowledgeable, and friendly!

We went cycling from Zoetermeer and came across this nice spot. It was quite windy, but you can sit on the terrace behind the glass. It even got warm at one point. The service is very friendly and fast. We ordered two fried eggs and received three eggs with salad on the side. It's a shame that the bread was simple, but otherwise, it was very tasty. You can park your bike right by the door and there is plenty of parking space. In the summer, it seems like a beautiful place to have something to eat or drink in the evening at sunset. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful location and good service, but we don't find the atmosphere to be woman- and child-friendly if a PORNSTAR drink is offered on the menu. We all know Martinis from the supermarket and their other drinks, but it goes too far to glorify this multi-billion dollar industry where women are structurally exploited and abused. We are truly against the abuse of women and against this industry, so therefore also against these kinds of statements. It's especially bizarre that Martini gets away with this, because it normalizes the addictive porn industry. We hope this is taken into account in the decision and that this drink is no longer available at De Roerdomp; then we'll happily return.

The menu offers a wide variety of delicious options. We'd been craving a croquette while we were walking, and it was truly delicious. It even had real pulled pork (not just starchy ragout). The fries were okay.

I'm crying in my heart that the bittern has closed for the winter again. I'll definitely be right there to visit them again in January 🥰🤩 The photos are of a chicken and egg sandwich, grandpa's meatball with fries, and a freshly made warm waffle with warm vanilla sauce.

Last night, November 2nd, we had dinner with friends at De Roerdomp for the first time. What a breath of fresh air! The first thing we noticed was the friendly and enthusiastic staff, young people with a passion for hospitality. The food was simply delicious, well-prepared, and generously sized. The owners should be proud of what they've achieved here. We'll definitely be back.

What a great place this is! It's in a lovely location right on the water and has a lovely, cozy atmosphere. I had lunch here today with a colleague, and we had a wonderful time. They have a nice and varied menu with delicious food, all at reasonable prices. The service gets 5 stars, but it really should be 6. The staff are fantastic—cheerful, friendly, and attentive. I highly recommend it, and if we're ever in the area, we'll definitely be back.

Delicious food. Friendly staff and a lovely location right on the Rottemeren lake. You can enjoy a delicious bite to eat during your walk. And afterward, take the ferry. Note that this ferry operates until the end of October and then until 5:30 PM.

De Roerdomp never disappoints; I've been here several times. The staff is truly incredibly hospitable and attentive. The dishes are top-notch, top-notch.

Lovely food by the water, always delicious. But very disappointed with the service. If you're having your drink before 5 p.m. and ask for the drinks menu, and want to order a drinks platter for 5 minutes, the kitchen closes exactly at 5 p.m. for a drinks platter!!!! Even though the time isn't indicated on the menu, and we didn't get any information about it when we received the menu, otherwise we would have ordered it with our drinks. Imagine our surprise that they offer other snacks. Keeping the kitchen staff happy is more important than your customers. The owner doesn't respond and isn't very customer-friendly.

Schön gelegenes Bistro / Restaurant direkt am Wasser, aus mehreren Richtungen sehr gut mit dem Fahrrad zu erreichen. Wir hatten das Glück einen Tisch auf dem Steg zu „ erwischen“ und konnten so unser Abendessen in der Abendsonne genießen. Sehr freundliche junge Frauen im Service, aufmerksam und flott. Die Karte bietet für jeden Geschmack etwas - Fisch, Fleisch, Vegetarische und auch Vegan. Wir hatten Fisch und Huhn, beides sehr lecker . Dazu gibt es eine große Auswahl an Getränken, sogar mit einer separaten Bierkarte. Insgesamt eine Empfehlung !

In de zomer rijden we altijd met de Scootmobielen vanaf de Zevenhuizerplas richting de Rotte en rijden op de linkeroever naar de A 12 en zo richting Zevenhuizen en de Roerdomp waar we altijd gaan lunchen. We komen hier al 15 jaar omdat het daar gezellig is met uitkijk op de plas en goed eten. Soms hebben we pech want dan is het stampvol ondanks dat de Roerdomp zo groot is geworden. Marlika en René

We had an absolutely delicious meal! We started with a bread roll, which was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. For our main course, we had swordfish and the Crispy Chicken burger, both incredibly delicious! And then there was dessert, the Grand Dessert... 🤤 We'll definitely be back!
