Great food at very reasonable prices. The portions (kibbeling) were very generous and came with homemade fries. We had to move to a different table because it was quite cold. After changing our seating direction, we warmed up. It's a shame that there are no sinks or restrooms inside the restaurant; they're located outside.

We went there with our little dog 🐶 and had the meal deal with kibbeling. Super fresh and delicious. The service was very friendly and attentive, and the price was right. Definitely worth a visit.

We went here for dinner with the family. What a lovely place to eat, and the staff were friendly. In the reviews, we only saw the first section in the photo, which seems quite small, but it turns out there's also a "restaurant" section with a cozy atmosphere. The food was excellent. Definitely recommended.

Update Nov 2025: After eating here for a year now, the quality is and remains excellent. The staff and owner are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Regardless of the crowds, there's always a good, cozy atmosphere and quality. This is top-notch!

Had a lovely lunch. Nice place with a diving spot over the dike in the Grevelingenmeer.

On Thursday, October 30th, after diving, I warmed up by the stove and ordered a portion of "leukbek" (fish steak) with fries and a beer. The fish was perfectly cooked, the service was friendly, and the price was very reasonable.

Delicious kibbeling with spicy fries in a clump. And a salad with a bit of everything. For dessert, we chose our favorite ice cream; they have a choice of 10 or more flavors. The service is very friendly, and the kitchen is very fast.

I have to think back a long, long time to the last time I ate such disgusting fries. I don't mean the "even pause" seasoning—that's really good—but our Pomeranians were in the fryer at least three times. You really shouldn't serve that to a guest!

We spent a week in Brouwershaven and ate there four times. Everything was freshly prepared, great value for money 👍, and the staff was very friendly.

What great service! Service with a smile still exists here. Here you can enjoy delicious fries, nicely served in a clog. The kibbeling (fried fish) and the farmer's schnitzel were also excellent. Thanks to the various portion sizes, you can eat here with both large and small appetites. If you're not in the mood for fried food, they also serve sandwiches, salads, and fried eggs.

Friendly, but expensive, and the ice cream is truly awful. A long wait, and then a lot of confusion about a simple cheese sandwich (which, for some reason, always seemed to come with ham).

It's gotten very expensive, and the regular kibbeling is the same size as the large kibbeling, but with two lemon slices. If someone mentions it, they give you an extra slice. Strange. Besides, I found the kibbeling salty and flavorless this time.

Highly recommended. We go there every time we go on holiday to the Osses.

Location close to the Grevelingen Lake. Right next to the parking lot, which is used by many divers. Lots of activity and plenty to see. Service was mediocre and the food was bad. The fries at the Schuhe restaurant were a good idea. Unfortunately, I can't understand the 4.6 stars. I wouldn't recommend it.

The food was truly delicious, the service was very friendly and attentive to the guests' well-being. According to the menu, the "Strammer Max" is only available until 5:00 PM. We were still able to order at 5:30 PM without any problems. The restrooms have to be shared with the divers, who unfortunately left it a bit sandy and wet. Nevertheless, it's recommended and worth a visit.

We had to wait a very long time for the food. Others had already had their food, even though they had ordered after us. My schnitzel was a bit dry, but the other people's food was very good. But overall, it was very good.

Very tasty food, especially recommended: kibbeling and "Even Pause" fries. These are served in clogs, making them a visual delight.

We had a great meal here, lekkerbek menu, kibbeling menu, crispy chicken and carpaccio salad. With the fish menus you get a small salad with homemade fries in a lump!!! The fries are really delicious. At first we thought it would be very busy inside. But the area is very popular with divers. That is why it was busy in the parking lot. But more than enough space inside. The fish were fried crispy but certainly not greasy. For dessert we had a soft ice cream. That had surprised us very positively. The quality was very good for an attractive price. Definitely recommended if you are in the area to eat here.

Fantastic food! We had the spicy spareribs and the schnitzel with mushroom sauce. Very friendly owner and service. The homemade fries are very good, and are refilled for free, as are the sauces -- where do you find that! Beautiful location on the lake, with diving facilities and large (public) parking lot.

Cozy eat and drink cafe where you can also buy (soft) ice cream, at the dive site and filling station Nieuwe Kerkweg. With outdoor terrace. Nice service and toilets available. Often pleasantly busy due to the many divers. Also a popular stop for touring motorcycles.

Definitely worth a visit. The overall package is perfect. Fast and friendly service. Top-quality food. Always tidy, clean, and professional. I'd be happy to return.

We settled down with about 30 motorcyclists for drinks and something to eat. Even though there were only 2 staff members present, we received our orders quickly.

A really good chip shop/snack bar is an underrated phenomenon. Delicious fries served in a lump with tasty sauces and well-cooked burgers are simply worth the detour. Here you can pick up or sit around the stove (and on the terrace in summer). A real detour spot if you fancy a quick bite!

We often go to Scharendijke for a short trip. We always have dinner with you on the last evening. Super tasty. I have never eaten such delicious kibbeling before. The fries in a lump with herb salt. Simply wonderful. Service top, prices perfectly fine. Food was super delicious. Today we made a special detour from Zoutelande to have a delicious meal at your place before driving home.

We have been here before to eat, and everything was very good. Food was delicious and it was very nicely decorated inside. We wanted to eat here again, so we drove 40 minutes away. The website states that they are open until 8pm (on Saturdays). We arrived at 6.45 pm. There were still people inside and the 'open' sign next to the door was still lit. When we got to the door, to our surprise, it was locked and we couldn't get in anymore.

One of the tastiest and best chip stands in the area. Large parking lot where many divers also have their base. Charging option for e-cars. But about the much more important thing. The dishes are all super freshly prepared and everything we have tried here so far has been very tasty. The fries in particular taste like potatoes and are seasoned so deliciously. Kibbeling, Frikandel and burgers are also very tasty. For us the first choice in the area. The service is also super friendly and the prices are fair. You can also sit comfortably both inside and outside. Unreserved recommendation!

The food was absolutely delicious (schnitzel with fries), the staff was very nice and accommodating, I'll definitely eat there again in the next few days. It's just a shame that it's only open until 8 p.m., as a vacationer and on the go it can get tight. We ate there twice during our vacation and everything was delicious! In particular, the kibbeling and the fries (with herb salt!) were a dream. Everything is totally fresh and absolutely sufficient portions. For some dishes you can even order sauce and fries (at no extra charge) if you want. 100% recommendation!

I ordered a few croquette sandwiches to take away. I would eat them on the way to the next dive site..... Croquettes were fine. Rolls had been defrosted in the microwave, many of them were completely crispy......not edible, they must have noticed this when cutting them open.
