Our number one snack bar on vacation. Friendly, and you can (or even should) order in German. The beach there is fantastic and very close. The quality is good, so you can't complain ;)

Everything was excellent. Delicious, quick food.

Partly due to the good reviews, I stopped here to eat during a bike ride. I was not disappointed. Tasty kibbeling, nice and tender with a thin layer of breadcrumbs, so you can really taste the fish. The fries with ketchup and vanilla milkshake were also fine.

I eat kibbeling here every time I'm in the area. There's no better kibbeling in Zeeland! The pieces are large, the fish is tender, and the breading is thin and crispy. I'm happy to stand in line for 10 minutes. Highly recommended.

Really good food and actually very tasty burgers! The patty was nice and crispy, toasty on the inside. I had a chicken burger and it was an actual piece of crunchy chicken that was very very tasty. The soft serve ice cream was also very nice and they have plenty of options! Highly recommend🥰

Bored staff. Not very customer-friendly. Seats were wet and dirty, even though it hadn't rained for a long time.

Received very unfriendly service! Our order was taken incorrectly. That can happen, but we then had to pay extra to get the right fries after all. We were spoken to in a very unfriendly manner, even though the fault lay with him. Furthermore, a dirty hair was found in the mayonnaise. The hygiene in the shop already didn't look fresh; this was unfortunately confirmed. In short: worthless on all fronts!

After long golden afternoons wandering the beach, where the North Sea keeps rewriting the shoreline with every tide and the pine forest stands behind the dunes like an old patient guardian, we would always find ourselves back at The Sixties. Every single evening. Always the same favorite snacks. Always the same feeling that the day had ended exactly as it should. This corner of Zeeland has always felt different. It is a landscape shaped by wind, sea, and time. A place that remembers the great floods, where people have learned to live with a horizon that is never quite the same twice. Everything here reminds you that nothing lasts forever, and somehow that makes every beautiful moment feel even more precious. Perhaps that is why The Sixties feels so magical. It has the quiet, dreamlike atmosphere of a liminal place. Places like these gently remind us how transitory everything is, yet they are strangely comforting because they seem to exist outside of time. Walking through the doors feels less like arriving somewhere new and more like wandering into a memory that has been patiently waiting for you to return. Soon we will be back. The tides will have changed. The beach will have shifted. The pine trees will still whisper in the sea breeze. And somewhere, at the end of another perfect day by the sea, The Sixties will once again be glowing softly, waiting for us. Some places become destinations. The Sixties became part of our story.

What a great place, lovely to pick up a portion of greasy meatballs on a Saturday night with a special sandwich. The biscuit with saliva was unfortunately sold out, but that didn't spoil the fun. A truly top-notch place!

A portion of fries at snack bar The Sixties is always one of the many highlights for us in Zeeland. Friendly people, good fries, and also a huge dose of enthusiasm. This is a unique place, highly recommended. It can get quite busy sometimes (more people know how to find this location), but they process orders quickly and accurately. Ordering online works fine too. You choose a time and it is ready exactly at the agreed time. And despite the busyness, there is still time for a nice chat. A well-deserved 5 stars. The location is definitely the best thing about this place: right at the main beach entrance, with plenty of parking and bicycle racks – it couldn't be better. Currently (as of the end of March), opening hours are limited to Friday through Sunday, which is understandable given the location. The fact that online ordering is possible is also a plus – definitely not a given for a snack bar. There are a few seats outside and a couple inside, all in typical snack bar style. The cheeseburger for €6.50 was perfectly fine in terms of price, taste, and size. However, it's worth noting that they don't use a classic beef patty. Instead, the meat is more like seasoned ground beef, similar to a meatball. The taste is still okay, though – as long as you know what to expect. The ordering system is also very convenient: you can wait comfortably without having to stand at the counter and are notified by a signal as soon as your order is ready.

We've been eating our fries here on and off for 30 years now. An absolute must when we're in the area. It instantly takes you back to your childhood. The snack bar serves all sorts of delicious treats from the fryer 😉 Fast and always friendly service. The prices are perfectly reasonable.

A typical Dutch snack bar, albeit with a few soft-serve ice cream specialties. The place was clean. When you order, you get a buzzer that lets you know when your food is ready, so you don't have to wait at the counter the whole time. A German or English menu would have been nice. Not every tourist is familiar with all the Dutch deep-fried specialties.

A few years ago, the family ordered fries and snacks to go from here. While eating at home, we realized we were missing a snack. After calling, we were allowed to come back and got a refund for the snack, along with an ice cream. Great service and good food!

Today we cycled the 10 km from Renesse to get there. Our expectations were not disappointed. Delicious bacon cheese fries, delicious frikandell, and the minced meat balls are fantastic. We had a nice outdoor seating area, and the food was ready quickly. We'll definitely plan to come back on our next vacation.

My whole family and I have been coming here for decades, and it's always a highlight! The fries are simply unbeatable: crispy, golden brown, and by far the best we've ever eaten. But it's not just the fries that are top-notch; everything else tastes great too, whether it's kibbeling, frikandel, or other classics. Everything is just right here: taste, friendliness, and tradition. For us, it's the best chip shop anywhere and an integral part of our family memories. Unreservedly recommended to anyone who appreciates good food!

We had kibbeling, it was really tasty. The price was OK too. The fries were OK. Frikandel was good too. The service was also very friendly.

If a customer waits 25 min for icecream because the order went missing, maybe ask the customer a bit earlier why are you still waiting( 2 kids growing visibly impatient) and when you find out you made a mistake, apologize right away and dont question why im waiting this long and dont ask for a receipt. Nobody keeps the receipt when going for icecream. Another point. If you think you need to work hard because you are under staffed dont let your customers know your discomfort about it by saying things out loud in front of the customers.

Cozy snack bar right behind the dunes. There are delicious fries here and the kibbeling is seasoned just right. Otherwise, everything you would expect in a Dutch snack bar is available here. The service is friendly and was always in a good mood. This is always an integral part of our trips to Westenschouwen. Update July 6, 2024: If you order takeaway food, you get the same portions as in the snack bar. In contrast to the snack bar the day before at the campsite, I was not disappointed here. One more reason to go here. Top service.

Just came in here for a minced meat ball and I must say it was a great minced ball, very tasty and creamy, definitely worth repeating.

Not really customer friendly. Were ignored at first. It was not possible to take ice with you. After we said that this was apparently possible the day before, it was finally possible, but at an additional cost for the paper containers. You won't leave with a 'pleasant' feeling...
