Delicious food delivered – first time and not the last. I ate it all myself.

Staff was nice but online menu was very frustrating to use and lots of deals were broken in the app resulting in higher fees and no customization. One of us had a hair in the burger. All in all won't be coming back I think.

Best smash for the price and the chicken is juicy enough, all burgers are great, I've already eaten like 20, can't get sick of the taste, and the music is nice inside

The Philly bun wasn't very fresh. It should have had more steak and cheese on it. Nashville is named after the Nashville hot chicken. This looked more like a chicken burger from a snack bar and was very small. For a milkshake of 10 euros—an American concept—you usually get a big one; this one was just as big as a small McFlurry. For the price, I find it very meager and it has little to do with American influences.

I didn't have high expectations, but I have never eaten anything so gross in my entire life. Given the name, you can of course expect a lot, but my god 😂 Nasty, disgusting cheese sauce dripping off everything. Meat that is incredibly salty. Barely any tomato, lettuce, or onion to break up that greasy, salty junk. Just going to McDonald's again next time. Tastier and cheaper.

The meat quality of the phills was aweful! It was only meatfat, no meat at all, I had to spit out a lot of it.

Very bad, order was cold, burger was small, absolutely not what is in the picture, meat smells like shawarma, not burger meat, sandwich was soggy and tasteless except full of peppers, pathetic. Barbecue wings were tasty but from the supermarket, don't believe they make this food daily, terrible.

Good restaurant for takeout or delivery. Eating in the restaurant is not recommended. Weird atmosphere inside. Ridiculous music that is way too loud. The burger was tasty, but I ate it ASAP to get out of this zoo ASAP.

I’ve ordered delivery a few times and it was always good, but when I visited in person and ordered the same cheeseburger, it felt like I got only half the beef compared to before. Maybe that’s just how it is with a single cheeseburger and the smash style, but a 2 mm layer of dry beef is a joke in any form for this price.

I ask for a chicken burger with only the chicken, nothing else, I don’t think it’s that difficult to understand or execute, and they manage to get it wrong and deliver chicken with a very spicy mayo fo my kid. Everything went in the bin. Never again!

A while back my wife and me decided to spend our monthly cheat day at Phill's in Leiden. My wife knew the brand and after showing me the pictures i got excited. Both of us ordered 2 burgers, each 1 truffle burger and a philly cheese steak for me and my wife got a double beef if i remember correctly. There was almost no sause on the truffle burger which made them standard beef burgers. My cheese steak was soaking in old grease which was the only flavor i tasted. The double beef had nice patty's but again tasted like old grease and everything added on the burgers had no flavor on its own. We told the seriously disinterested employee about it all and we got as a reply that we should go to mcdonalds if we wanted burgers without grease. As a buther by trade i know my pieces of meat and how to treat them and these folks did not. It felt like they bought themselves a good (sounding) brand and just spare money where they can beef quality, sauce quantity and other filler amounts. The grease was the worst thing about the burger, tasted like month old burger grease just added for laughs. Finaly, saving money on personell, it truly looked like a family doing everything. Probably not paying the young niece or either of the two young guys behind the counter. You could really feel their love for the brand/work. We will never go to this or any other burger place from this chain ever again. Serious waste of money. Just such a shame because i was looking forward to a proper burger but any chain coming over from the US is just used for their name for a quick turnaround before letting the store go bankrupt. Just wish there was proper quality controll for these sort of things....

Fat Phill’s is my absolute go-to in Leiden! I’ve eaten here hundreds of times over the last three years, and it never misses. The food is consistently delicious, and the staff is incredibly professional and kind. If you’re in the city, you have to try it!

I ordered a burger and a milkshake, and they were delicious. It's a bit pricey, but the burger tasted great and was quite filling! The milkshake was excellent. The service seems more geared towards takeout.

I want to express my frustration about what my girlfriend and I experienced at Phat Fiiils very clearly. What happened there felt completely wrong to us – it was transgressive and downright disrespectful. We were just getting our food and were treated like we were worthless. When my girlfriend commented on how she was addressed, they just laughed and condescended. I find that kind of behavior truly ridiculous and completely unprofessional for a business that works with customers. As if that wasn't enough, we got the impression that some delivery drivers were speeding around on scooters without a license. It was crystal clear there was absolutely no oversight or safety. That kind of behavior is not only illegal, it's also dangerous – for them and for everyone else on the road. It just makes the whole place a mess. I'm absolutely fed up with how we were treated. You'd expect a business to take its customers seriously, but here you only get rude comments, disrespectful behavior, and total chaos. I think it's ridiculous that this is allowed to happen. I sincerely hope people know what a mess we went through there.

The food was disgusting. I ordered fries with mayo in the store. The fries felt very dry. Furthermore, it's a disrespectful establishment. I walked in and immediately wanted to leave because of the young people hanging around. They were smoking and doing drugs inside! I don't understand how the owner could allow this. I asked for a chair to sit on, and they reacted very disrespectfully. There were even mice in the store, unbelievable. A tip for all readers: if you're considering ordering this, I recommend having it delivered. I wouldn't recommend this food anyway due to hygiene concerns, but if you do order, order online!

I'm still completely stunned by what happened at Fat Phill's. I ordered food, but when the delivery driver arrived, he became aggressive because I didn't tip in the pouring rain. To my disbelief, it escalated into a physical attack. I was actually assaulted by an employee of this company and sustained injuries. After the incident, I tried calling several times to report it, but no one answered. No apologies, no contact, nothing. The way this company treats customers is absolutely disgraceful. As if that weren't enough, the food was also absolutely disgusting. The burger tasted old and greasy, and to my horror, I even found a thumbtack in my food. That's not only unsanitary but also extremely dangerous. Fortunately, I did get my money back from Thuiszorgd, but I will never order from them again and will warn anyone who wants to order from them.

Cheap American style food, lots of carb, lots of fat, bad quality meat. Didn’t know they sold this crap outside the USA (except Yellow Arches, Mc,,,, still one star less). I got a Texas something. Nothing Tex style about it, no spices,. tasteless. I threw half away.

Terrible service. I've ordered from here before, and everything was always okay, nothing special. This time, the mac and cheese came with barely any chicken (two pieces, even though it's normally full). They argued with me on the phone and said someone would come by and check, only to find one piece of chicken and say it actually has chicken in it. Fine, but I won't order from here again. I'm not usually this difficult, but the way they treated me is ridiculous, even though I order from them regularly.

Normally, the food is very good. But this time it was really disappointing. The hamburger tasted a bit burnt and was completely squashed. This way, all the flavor is lost, and it was really noticeable.

Antisocial delivery drivers. I had a rude delivery driver at my door on Saturday evening who literally threw my food at me and said he was in a hurry. I didn't leave it at that so I called the store but kept getting voicemail. Yesterday I called and got someone who didn't speak Dutch, which I found strange because we live in the Netherlands. So I decided to go to the store yesterday (Sunday). There was no manager or anything so I had to leave again. The store has no responsibility at all. They kept telling me to talk to them and leave. I didn't know what was happening to me. I will never order from here again.

Was at Fat Phill’s recently and honestly? It was really good. Had a Philly cheesesteak with extra sauce and fries. Everything was super juicy, well seasoned, and just a good greasy snack that you sometimes really want. Portions are huge, you’ll definitely be full afterwards. It’s not the cheapest, but you do get a lot. And that sauce… it really makes everything better. The atmosphere is relaxed, a bit of a street food vibe, nothing too fancy. It was busy when I was there, so I had to wait a bit, but it was worth it. If you’re hungry and fancy some nice messy food without any fuss: this is your place. Not a place for a first date perhaps, but great if you want to eat with friends.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A hidden gem in Leiden! I had heard a lot of positive things about FatPhill's, so my expectations were high — and they were more than exceeded. From the moment you walk in, you feel the relaxed atmosphere. The staff is friendly and genuinely interested, which really makes a difference these days. But of course it's all about the food, and that's insanely good. I went for the “Fat Bastard” burger (the name alone 😄) and it was perfect: juicy meat, creamy cheese, and a brioche bun that doesn't fall apart halfway through. The fries are crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and perfectly seasoned. My girlfriend had the vegan option and was also impressed — not always a given at burger places. What I especially appreciated was the attention to detail. Everything is freshly prepared, you can really taste that they cook with love here. And despite it being a popular place, we didn't have to wait long. The price-quality ratio is very good. FatPhill's is, in my opinion, the best burger place in Leiden. Absolute recommendation for those who like good comfort food, without fuss but with character.

Terrible place, completely disrupts the neighborhood with its neon signs and the owner does not want to cooperate in any way to change it. The owner did not seem bothered or sorry by the fact that since his opening A LOT of neighbors have complained and are more than annoyed by two big neon signs on each side of its façade (type of signs you do not see around this neighborhood that are super bright and turned on so late) and prevents them from sleeping. The extremely bright light goes directly into the houses. Instead of a switch that only turns off everything at once, including the sign, it would have been more intelligent to have two separate switches, this way you would have avoided annoying an entire neighborhood. Since the moment we have complained to the owner a few days back, he has left the lights on all night on purpose, despite his closing time between supposedly until 11pm. Not very client and neighbor friendly is it ? Says a lot about the restaurant…

With a minimum order cost of €35.00 I will (with my 1 person household) definitely never order here. The delivery cost from Leiden <=> Katwijk of €10.00 is way above average for delivery. Halal is not my belief and is not on my menu.

Ordered via Uber - takes an hour and a half for the food to be delivered. The sandwiches are cold and inedible. When I call them they tell me to contact Uber eats Worthless food

Horrible food! There were four of us and each had a sandwich with fries. The fries were soggy and did not do justice to the Dutch art of fries. The sandwiches were soggy, almost mushy and drowned in a cheese sauce (poor finished product). The meat was also rubbery. Unfortunately, an absolute failure.

I tried the nashville spicy chicken and it's not spicy at all for my taste. the store was pretty empty when we visited. don't really vibe with the atmosphere of the store fause it was too dark for me plus the song they played in the store is too loud. will def try fat phill's in other locations next time!

The food is good. However, they recently increased their prices by 15%, such that it now costs about the same as going to the restaurant (21€ for burger + fries + drink).

IT GOT SO BAD! NB! It was always freshly made and lately you get chicken pieces made hours earlier, soft, not even warm. I used to come here quite often but lately McDonald's chicken nuggets have been crispier than their chicken tenders. Don't do that people. I advise everyone against this.

Solid burger joint, people work hard

This really is a mega store. Well worth the money. It's not much different from McDonald's in terms of price and this is much larger and really good quality. The pistachio milkshake is the bomb!!
