Always a nice dining experience.

Had a lovely meal with my sweetheart. When the door opened, I felt the cold creeping up my legs, but that's my only complaint. The service is good. Not pushy, but they're aware of everything.

Ordered surf & turf. The prawns was tasty, but the steak was flavourless. Very bland and wasn't served at correct temprature. The carrots, corn and puree was delicious, but the steak is definetly not the star of the dish as it should have been. Hubby and son had steak aswell and also cold bland, flavourless and would be elevated even if just salt is added or grilled with the rosemary, not rosemary as garnish only. The sauce that accompanied the steak could do with some garlic, also bland. Rastaurant was very quiet which we enjoy and prefer.

I had a nice meal here with a former colleague, the food was good and the service was excellent.

There was hardly anyone in the place, and yet I still had to walk to the bar to say we wanted a drink. After that, it was fine. Great place.

Ok so listen, I thought the food was good. Got that burger in me ya know. But the service just wasn't that. We waited long for the rest of our food, there was icky glasses. Good we didn't want no dessert because it wasn't offered. Still waiting as we speak. We stared at the waiters for a lil while. But hey the food a solid good 5 stars. Place is empty and we still ain't being aksed what we want. But good food really. Speaks to the soul and all that. And I gotta say the lady that helped us was really super duper sweet but there just wasnt people coming enough to the table ya know. I feel kinda bad for the lady she was good. We loved the food and the service! The pets were a bit slow to come out of the kitchen though. But we forgot as soon as we started eating. Very tasty.

A lovely restaurant near the main train station. The food was delicious, and we had a table by one of the large windows. From there, you can watch the hustle and bustle on the street and the windmill. :-) The prices are perfectly reasonable.

It was a lovely atmosphere, everyone ate very well, highly recommended: homemade lemonade and Hudson burger!

I’ve visited this restaurant many times and was always very satisfied, but this time the experience was extremely disappointing. I ordered a burger but received something completely different. When I pointed it out to the waiter, instead of apologizing or fixing the issue, he started arguing with me, insisting that my order was correct. Only after a while did he reluctantly ask, “What else should I add to your burger?” His attitude was rude and unprofessional, which completely ruined the atmosphere of my visit. I used to really like this place and came here often, but after this experience, I won’t be returning anytime soon.

Upon entering was not greeted by staff as they were busy eating. When someone did give us attention, he was talking to us with his back facing us. There were some really nice staff though. Entree came within a reasonable time and was tasty but it took them an hour to clear our plates. Half the menu is comprised of burgers so you’d think it’s a safe choice. Ordered the Hudson burger and I was disappointed. The meat was tough and I bit into a bone which made me lose my appetite. It made me sad to waste food and I left the restaurant hungry.

Had a drink and ordered nachos. We got our drinks right away, but the nachos took forever to arrive. Finally, we paid for them, even though we hadn't received them.

We sat outside for 40 minutes when no one came, so we went inside. No one came there either. Unfortunately, we went to another restaurant.

Hey! The Hudson Restaurant I visited was a bit disappointing. I can't complain about the atmosphere and look of the place; it's very nice. But when we entered, there was no staff to greet us. We had time to decide where to sit, and even after we chose a spot, we still had to wait a few minutes for someone to come over. Time would have passed more quickly if there had been a menu on the table. When we finally ordered our food, we waited an hour and a half before it arrived. The food wasn't the worst, but the one dish I would complain about is the two kebabs called "Kate's Choice." I do not recommend that at all.

I ordered natural watermelon lemonade but it was full of sugar. The burger was okay. I was expecting personnel more friendly.

Hudson bar seems to be a restaurant chain. But good menu nice atmosphere and we had a view of the windmill. We came by public transport... highly recommend that in Netherlands

At Hudson Leiden, you eat like it's a cheat day and you've earned it. The food is delicious, the service is faster than you can chew, and it's a fun atmosphere. Everything was delicious, and there were plenty of laughs. Tip: don't skip dessert. Unless your pants are tight. Then you definitely will.

I don't know how they get those positive reviews, but the service on Sunday, July 27, 2025, was terrible. Rude service. Never coming back!!!

Had a birthday party here and DJed. It was a nice, small, and charming place. Highly recommended. The group size was 50, and it was manageable! Not too hot. Parking was a bit tricky.

Poor, slow service. We were a group of 14 people, and the restaurant wasn't busy, but we had to wait ages everywhere, and if you asked for a drink, it took almost half an hour. It was really bad.

Food was delicious and served quickly.

One day in Leiden and startet here with coffee and a tosti. Cause of the friendy service and very good looking location we came back for dinner. Hudson Burger with fries was 100% perfect. Fresh, tasty and a good portion. We will defenitly come back!

Nice service and delicious food

I’ve been there to have some lunch, and enjoy the atmosphere! Unfortunately I could not manage to do either of those! When I entered to the restaurant, noone greeted me, and noone hosted me to the any table. It is not how a real restaurant works. After sitting on my table, they gave me a menu. Then i kept waiting for 15 minutes, noone showed up again. If you are a restaurant and asking that much overpriced service, maybe you should treat your customers as a real restaurant, not only with your prices!

Ordered a Caesar and 2 mojitos. Waited for a Caesar for 40 minutes, a mojito for 20 minutes. It's terrible. The Caesar is the most ordinary, there's nothing like making it for 40 minutes!!!

A corner with great flavor in the heart of Leiden

Delicious cuisine, pleasant atmosphere, beautiful interior. We came at 4 o'clock and were served food from dinner, which is also a plus.

Nice menu, nice place but terrible staff. No initiative to help you, you just have to beckon them yourself. Not very friendly and everything at Spanish pace. Manana, manana, but unfortunately not for us anymore.

5 stars - Fantastic experience! I am extremely satisfied with my visit to Hudson. The kitchen staff really deserves a compliment - you can taste that everything is cooked with care, passion and craftsmanship. Each dish was perfectly seasoned, beautifully presented and at the right temperature. The flavors were balanced and the portions generous. What struck me most was the consistent quality: from starter to dessert, there was not a weak link. Compliments to the chefs, who clearly work with love and dedication. The food here is not only tasty, it also feels like an experience. I'll definitely be back!

I celebrated my birthday dinner here with a group of 27 people and everything was perfectly arranged. The service was top: friendly, professional and super attentive. The food was delicious and was all served at the same time, which is really impressive with such a large group. In short, a great experience and definitely recommended for anyone who has something to celebrate!

I’m a tourist and this was one of the worst experiences I’ve had. We waited almost an hour after being served just nachos, with no updates about our food. When we finally asked to cancel, the waiter just said “yeah, yeah, cancel and go” no apology, no explanation. It felt very dismissive. Being busy doesn’t excuse treating customers like they don’t matter. Would not recommend.

Delicious food and vegan options available. Also has gluten free options. Roomy atmosphere and great service. Would definitely eat here again.

We ordered food from you tonight, the satay was delicious but cold, the sweet potato fries were limp and cold again. the spareribs were tough, poorly marinated and tasteless. In addition, you advertise with “approximately 650 grams” but in reality it is a paltry 529 grams, very disappointing! The chrurros were cold and tough, but well sweetened. All in all, we will not order from you again, the containers ensure that the food cools down much quickly, so it might be useful for you to find an alternative to this. For what we got and the price we paid... scandalous really.

This was by far the best burger I’ve ever had!! (And i’ve had a lot haha) Me and my boyfriend both had burgers (different ones) and enjoyed them to the fullest! We also had the flipped fries with the peanut butter sauce (sooo good!!!). I highly recommend it if you find yourself in Leiden!

Twee weken geleden bezochten mijn vrouw en ik Hudson Bar & Kitchen in Leiden. Wat een leuke ervaring was dat! Vanaf het moment dat we binnenkwamen, voelden we ons welkom door de vriendelijke en attente bediening. De sfeer in het restaurant is warm en uitnodigend. Het speciale menu dat de chefkok ons aanbood, buiten de standaard menukaart om was werkelijk voortreffelijk. De bediening was niet alleen gastvrij, maar ook enthousiast en grappig. Het was duidelijk dat hier met passie en plezier wordt gewerkt. Dit restaurant, midden in Leiden is een absolute aanrader voor iedereen die houdt van goed eten in een ontspannen setting. Wij komen hier zeker terug!

Gisterenavond met 2 vriendinnen gegeten bij hudson in Leiden. De dag voor dat we kwamen door hudson gebeld over het “valentijnsmenu” aan de telefoon zijn hele andere dingen beloofd dan wat de werkelijkheid was. Echter lieten wij ons verrassen en verrast waren we zeker. Elk gerecht had een uur wachttijd waarbij we ook 2x een koud hoofdgerecht kregen ondanks het terugsturen… Er kwam niemand langs om te vragen voor het drinken en als ze kwamen duurde het ruim 20 min voordat we een fles spa rood kregen. Waar we ook 3 keer om moesten hervragen. Ook was het eten zeer weinig en hadden we eigenlijk nog veel trek na het eten.. al met al zeker niet tevreden en niet voor herhaling vatbaar

Sat for an hour and a half and still no main course. It even had to be started. It wasn't busy, certainly more than half of the tables were free. That couldn't be the excuse. Ended up walking out without eating. Never again

Vies! Het rook er ook erg vies en wierp een blik in de keuken waar ik niet lekker van werd. Helaas hadden wij toen al wat gerechtjes gegeten . Het zag er rommelig uit en smaakte slecht . Laten staan dus . De cocktail klopte ook niet . Bediening was rommelig , moesten twee keer vragen waar het bleef .

Horrible burger -overcooked, like extra well done - the bun and patty were stone cold - it was aaaa lot of sauce, couldn’t taste anything else - it’s expensive

Food tasted good. Had a sandwich & nachos as a starter. As a main course mixed up, where you got 3 small dishes. The satay (which was fried a little too hard), the spare ribs and a mini hamburger. All tasted good. Furthermore, it was (we thought) cold in the restaurant.

I had my first Dutch croquette here for lunch, and it was absolutely delicious! The atmosphere was fantastic, and the beer complemented the meal perfectly. A wonderful experience overall!

The best apple pie I've ever had

We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious food and the warm atmosphere in this fine restaurant. Hudson restaurant is located in a prime location across the street from the Lammermarkt parking garage. Spontaneously, the three of us were able to go for dinner on a Sunday evening. We had a very tasty meal and enjoyed the friendly service. Of course we opted for the nachos in advance to share and the burger! The dishes were served quickly and not only did they look very tasty, we enjoyed every bite! Highly recommended! Thank you for the nice evening.

€16.50 for a hamburger without fries. The listed attachment of coleslaw turned out to be one bite. Ridiculous price. After a long wait we went looking for the waiter to take our order. Nicely decorated, yes.

We had a great evening. Owner Justin ensures that you are seen and heard as a guest. And a real host too. The food was delicious, even with a large group. Highly recommended!

Very good location, if you go by car there is a parking lot nearby. The food is good, the service is excellent and there is plenty of space for a large group.

Nice restaurant, food was okay, asked what cut of meat the Classic steak was, and server did not know, was tough to be honest, staff friendly.

What a nice cozy tent this is, very atmospheric and much larger than I initially thought. We parked our car in the Lammermarkt parking garage, and from there you can walk straight across to Hudson. Really a 1 minute walk, ideal. Staff is very friendly and helpful, we were seated immediately in the front of the restaurant. It was very cold because the heaters were not yet on, but they were immediately turned on upon request. We ordered a sandwich and a Join the Club sandwich, and 2 cappuccinos. The food was of good quality, very tasty. Not the tastiest sandwich ever, but it was richly filled and tasted good. I don't know what dinner is like here, but we also have a Hudson in Almere and that is always good. Just good food for a reasonable price. They have tasty burgers 😉 All in all a good location for a snack and a drink.

Ondanks het feit dat wij 2 keer van tevoren mondeling afspraken hebben gemaakt voor een diner voor 21 personen, is er van alles misgegaan. In het restaurantdeel/de zaal die wij besproken hadden was bezet toen wij binnen kwamen. Wij kregen de ruimte bij de bar toebedeeld, waar het erg rumoerig was. Het duurde erg lang voordat wij onze bestelling konden doen, terwijl er dus op ons gerekend was. Hudson was onderdeel van een walking diner en er was 1 uur gereserveerd voor het diner. Toen we eindelijk ons eten op hadden (een deel van de steaks waren mals, een aantal anderen waren taai en de coal-salade die erbij hoorde ontbrak ), bleven we maar wachten op een vegetarisch gerecht; zij kreeg dat pas toen iedereen het eten al op had. Zij kreeg een simpele groentehamburger. Keus was er niet, terwijl ons verteld was dat zij kon kiezen. Toen wij een paar keer vroegen hoe het met de bestellingen zat, kregen wij als antwoord "we hebben maar 2 handen"!!!! En dat terwijl al weken bekend was dat wij zouden komen met 21 personen. Door dat hele gedoe zijn we een half te laat aangekomen in het volgende restaurant. Ook onze gasten hebben dit alles gemerkt en zich daarover verbaasd. Het zal duidelijk zijn dat dit invloed op de sfeer heeft gehad.

We stopped by just for a coffee, and the experience was delightful! The staff was incredibly warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. I’m absolutely in love with Leiden—everyone here is so kind and friendly! I highly recommend this place, not only for a great meal but also for a fun and enjoyable time.

I took the calamari as a starter, do not recommend it. They were so bland that they even made the sauce that came with them taste blander. Then a steak that I wanted rare, but which arrived very well done. So I recommend not coming here for the food. atmosphere is nice.

We had a delicious meal here. As a starter we shared the tacos with crunchy prawns and pulled pork. As a main course we had a delicious steak. The service was good and the staff was very friendly! Even though it was very busy, they were still able to free up a spot for 2. We also liked the gin and tonic!

Food was honestly great, the place looks nice, too. That, and we had a very friendly waitress with a great sense of humor. It was a slow night, so we were the last ones dining, but she made a point of not rushing us.

Their Mexican burger is one of the best burgers I’ve ever had in my life. However, the Korean chicken vegetarian burger was bland.

We ordered our food at 6pm. Front and head. It wasn't busy then (yet). The starter arrived nicely. But at 7pm we still didn't have our main course. We were in quite a hurry because we had a performance at 8 p.m. We then had to ask 3 times where the main course was. It finally arrived at the table at 7:30 PM. What was especially disappointing was the messy communication. There also seemed to be no communication at all between staff and kitchen. The staff was also quite laconic about our long wait and blamed each other. There was clearly understaffing among the staff, because glasses and bottles continued to pile up on the bar. No one cleaned it up. Very sloppy and a shame because the restaurant was so nicely decorated for Halloween.

Ordered today via home delivery. We had to pay 45 euros for a hamburger and a steak. When we got it we found out that it didn't come with fries at all. whereupon I called Hudson to ask if there had been a mistake because it was really only a burger and a steak. Apparently you have to order this extra because it is a side dish and that is of course really bizarre for what you pay for it! I will never order from here again!

Nice meal! I haven't seen the Korean chicken burger anywhere before and it was surprisingly delicious! A chicken burger I can get behind. I also enjoyed the vanilla cino a lot! Also nice to see that decorations were hung for Halloween :)

Oh if you are ever in Leiden, this is a restaurant to visit. Their menu is full of awesome meals to choose from. You can sometimes get to book a table on the same day. Distance to central station is amazing too! There is even a bus stop to the station if you are wearing heels and can’t walk too far. The food?! 👌🏾
