If I could give zero stars, I would. The service was really disappointing. One of the waiters was treating people and her new colleagues with a bad attitude, and the manager came across as extremely rude and unprofessional. There was no sense of hospitality or basic manners. If I had read the reviews before going, I definitely would have chosen another place. And honestly, it's no surprise this place has such a low rating — a 3.8 average says it all.

Dear Firelli’s Team, I’m writing to formally express my disappointment regarding the service I received during a recent visit to your restaurant. After waiting over an hour to be served, my companions and I were looking forward to ordering dessert. However, when we asked to see the menu, a female staff member with glasses abruptly pulled the menu out of our hands and loudly said, “No, can’t do,” without any explanation. She raised her voice in such a way that surrounding guests took notice, and we felt embarrassed and disrespected. While we understand there can be delays or limitations — such as the kitchen closing — nothing justifies being treated in such an unprofessional and frankly humiliating manner. What made the situation even more disappointing was the attitude of this particular staff member. She behaved as if she were doing us a favor, not as someone providing a service in hospitality. It’s quite ironic — she likely earns around €15 an hour, yet treated us with the arrogance of royalty. We came to enjoy ourselves, were ready to spend well (I could have easily bought the whole table for €500), and instead were met with disrespect and condescension. We chose Firelli’s expecting not just good food, but also respectful, quality service. Sadly, this experience left us feeling undervalued and deeply disappointed. I would appreciate the opportunity to speak directly with the owner or manager about this situation. I believe in giving feedback constructively, and I hope you’ll treat this complaint with the seriousness it deserves.

This restaurant is a joke.. but not a funny one. Myself and my 3 daughters were turned away. They refused to seat us. Why? Because I (the father) was wearing slides. Looking around I saw almost every female there in sandals… if that isn’t sexist, what is? They were so arrogant and belittling… I asked to speak to the manager and they lied and told me she wasn’t in yet. The manager was standing right there but ignored me. DON’T patronize this establishment. There are SO many amazing places to eat in Amsterdam and this doesn’t even come close.

The girl hosting us was very friendly. The food thou to me is disappointing. I ordered steak and my friend fish….I specifically asked if it comes with the side dish. They said yes but, what we see is 3 potatoes each of us and a bunch of spinach. Common, im paying 50+ for a very small steak (pretty basic) and you can’t even put a portion of potatoes!? Not to mention the truffle - not even freshly grated but canned one. But you charge for it being “fresh”. How greedy restaurants have become in Ams is beyond me! You only see this price and food quality in this city - disappointing!

For a tomato soup, a salad, a pasta bolognese and a Risotto shrimp, which we ate together within an hour, I paid € 150, - on May 30th. That included 2 drinks and the tip, but I still feel cheated to this day. Price/quality was far from being found because of this bill.

Not a good food at all. The lobster was far from fresh, noticeable from the strong smell, and unpleasant taste. Steak was average. Service was very late, but ok - not a problem as it gets busy at lunch time. The awful part was that the manager forced me to remove my cap. He didnt try to underaramd that i had a head surgery, and told us it is because of their classy dress code. Ironically 5mins after the main waiter belched so loud that took the dining mood from everyone.

Wow, I must have missed something in the last two years. From a classy Italian with good food and where 3 layers of the Amsterdam population (old-south snobs, Zuidas yuppies and criminals) sat side by side enjoying the good life, this has degenerated into an Instagram tent with many wannabes. ONE STAR , if I could give zero I would. An arrogance on the part of the person who should represent the face of the restaurant, as soon as someone enters (the woman who welcomes you when you enter) is the first person who makes you want to leave immediately. What happened today is the following : With a group of about 10 people, we were nearby and we noticed this restaurant, and we thought of asking if there were seats, I was the only person who entered to ask. Right from the moment I stepped into the restaurant, I saw the hostess making facial expressions that looked like she was either disgusted or bothered by something and strange faces towards me with this attitude of superiority. The moment I asked if we could sit down, she told “certainly” and then proceed to say later that some of us were wearing sweatpants, emphasizing this detail several times and continuing to make despised faces!!!! as if we didn't even have pants at all. I definitely respect the restaurant policy, if you can't enter with certain clothing, but you say it in a polite way, without criticizing anyone, and without believing yourself superior to the person in front of you!!! Only my Rolex on my wrist today is perhaps worth 13 times her monthly salary :) So let's learn to respect people, because we never know who we are facing

One of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in Amsterdam. The host’s service and attitude were arrogant and completely unfriendly she was acting super weird. I ordered the carbonara, and honestly, it was the worst I’ve ever had, and they charge nearly 25 euros for it! Given the location, you walk in with certain expectations, but the food and service fall drastically short. This place is so havermelk friendly!! So chill so vibes so gezellig. Love the sustainable focus on organic bacteria in the sourdough bread paired with grass fed cow butter. So much social status value for the reasonable price of half my monthly salary at my sustainable vertical farming child care center NFT non profit. Management even offered to hang my De Appel tote bag so I could bless the free range minced cow that offered his life to my lasagna for my protein gainz at Saints and Stars (where the other half of my salary goes). Held space for my neighbors to offer a communal prayer for that next round of venture capital funding to come through. Much more authentic and hyperlocal than Locanda and La Fiorita. Already telling the Dubai Boys about Ferilli's, Peter Jan and his Slavic missus are ready to lay it down for the bio pinot. I especially appreciate the ChatGPT responses from management for each review here. See you again once I finish my after pay payments!

Since last summer, when I was there almost every day, I heard all kinds of bad experiences from acquaintances and friends. I didn't believe it. Now I've been there twice again last week. Both times we were turned away after being asked what we wanted to order. It wasn't enough. Apparently 'a waste of the table due to crowds'. At least that's what we were told. Despite this, several tables were empty for an extended period of time. I think it's crazy that you first have to explain what you're going to order before you can sit down. Apparently, only drinks and starter/dessert are no longer allowed. Never experienced this before (at no restaurant). I also asked for a table for 2. This was not possible despite many free tables. When I made a reservation online fifteen minutes later, it was possible. Very special. So I'm a bit done with Ferillis, even though it was a regular spot for me and my friends last summer. Shame.

Celebrated my friend's birthday. Unfortunately not a good memory. Upon arrival, we found it messy how we were put at the table and given our first drink. Then no one knew anything about the wine list. I also found the staff not very involved towards the guests. The food is very overpriced. You expect better for these amounts. Today we had a disappointing experience at the restaurant. We arrived and were placed in a corner next to the kitchen (busy place), we have raised this before in the past and no success tonight either. We were told by the woman at the counter with long hair that the other places were reserved, but no one was sitting here. Once at the table, the waiter came to take our order, where we immediately indicated that we were coming for dessert, he said this would not be a problem. He then went to his colleague, I think she is a manager, a woman with a short haircut, she approached us and indicated in an unfriendly tone that we cannot sit here for dessert after half past eight. In the past this was always possible, it was a shame that this was not conveyed in a normal way because we were literally sent out in a humiliating way. For customers who come here regularly, this is too insane for words. Unfortunately, you have now lost loyal customers, but the service has deteriorated for at least a year.

Very nice staff. But sorry... so I was sitting here (Thursday April 3) with my wife and wanted to celebrate an anniversary. But I waited 1.5 hours for my food. Ordered my food at 8:30 PM and had 3 drinks and 2 starters in 1.5 hours. I placed the complete order and we had our starters within 15 minutes. And then we had to wait at least 1.5 hours for the main course. But I had already gone inside to ask for the bill because with all due respect: if my neighbors next to me get their orders within 25 minutes and I have to see them being served and I don't, it is really humiliating. We were continuously served wrong orders that belonged to other tables and we indicated several times that they were not our dishes, to which the employee also reacted frustrated. The waiter then argued with me that I had waited a maximum of 30 minutes. Then I asked for the receipt and it clearly showed that I had ordered it at 8:30 PM. He tried to throw sand in my eyes by showing a receipt with a completely different order to show the time. That frustrated me immensely, and to top it all off, I paid the full price and didn't even have the drinks taken off the receipt to compensate for the ridiculous time I waited. Yes the food is served but eventually after that I got up. By the way, I was here at 8:15 PM to 9:55 PM, you will probably see it in the system. For me, I pass Ferrelis, I often ate there with my father and mother, but I do not accept this humiliation

My recent visit to Ferilli's was very disappointing. I noticed that the staff makes conscious choices about where to seat guests based on their race. When this is addressed, it's as if they can't count to ten and just ignore the issue. Additionally, the manager gave me and my family dirty looks upon entering, which made the experience even worse. This type of behavior is definitely not what you would expect from a restaurant. I hope that in the future, more attention will be paid to customer service and treating all guests with respect.

Unfortunately, my experience at Ferilli's last Thursday was disappointing. Ten minutes before I arrived, I called the restaurant to ask if there was room outside. The lady on the phone clearly indicated that there was enough space available and that reservations were not necessary - we were welcome to drop by. However, upon arrival we were received by the same employee who asked if we had a reservation. When I indicated that I had just spoken to her by telephone, she reacted extremely suspiciously and stated in an unfriendly tone that the conversation had taken place “forty minutes ago”. I showed her that this had only been ten minutes ago, to which she stated without apology that there was no table available and we would have to wait at the bar “for about five minutes”. We took a seat at the bar but were then completely ignored. After fifteen minutes I spoke to the same lady again about our table, whereupon she indicated that she had no idea how long it would take - contrary to what she had promised earlier. Her tone and attitude were far from customer friendly throughout the entire visit. As a loyal customer, I am sad to say that I will not be coming back here. The service has noticeably deteriorated in recent years. Hospitality and communication should be the core of a good catering experience, and that was completely lacking here!!!

Ferilli's Café: not quite what I had hoped for Full of enthusiasm I sat down for lunch at Ferilli's Café. The atmosphere was pleasant, although I found it a bit chilly inside, so I kept my coat on. The service had its surprises. My 86-year-old mother asked for a small dish, but was recommended a dish that turned out to be so generous that the four of us could have eaten it. A case of 'less is more' turned upside down. And then the food: the avocado in my salad was a coarse mess that had clearly seen better days. It felt more like a botanical exploration than a crunchy, fresh treat. A bit of a shame, because I was really looking forward to it. Luckily the Chardonnay saved the day – it was delicious! But to be honest, given the price I expected more from this 4**** restaurant. Hopefully this was just an unlucky day, because the potential is certainly there!

Bad service and misleading reservation Reserved three weeks in advance for Valentine's Day (5:45 PM). Everything seemed fine until we placed our order (tiramisu, ice cream and a cocktail). Two minutes later we were told that we could only stay for half an hour because we didn't take a full dinner. This was never communicated in advance and was only mentioned after we ordered. If an entire dinner is required, this must be made clear when booking. A bottle of water also cost €7. I often go out to eat and have never experienced this. Not recommended if you expect decent service.

We had made a reservation at 9:15 PM, but had to wait half an hour for our table. Then it took another half hour before anyone asked if we wanted something to drink. The food was too oily, cheesy and tasteless, and the starter and main course were served too quickly. At the end we wanted to order tea and coffee, but the bar was closed without notice and we suddenly got the bill. The atmosphere was also completely lacking. The food really wasn't value for money. Better find another Italian, because this is absolutely not recommended.

Where we sat was extremely cold to the point we were shivering , we asked the waiter to change our table and they did , the service extremely slow ! We had our starter at 9:36 1 hr after we sat down and 22:30 we had our main ! They also forgot the salad from order which we wanted it for starter after we finished all the food our waiter came to the table and said Cesar salad ! I said too late ! We ordered this for starter ! For my birthday we had dinner at Ferilli's. The atmosphere was warm and cozy. Service was good thanks to the sweet and polite Ruslana and Pietro (a very nice waiter btw ;)). What was a downside is that the “hostess” Sylvia was extremely offended by the fact that we asked whether it would take long before our main courses would arrive. Her fake smile disappeared and she appeared very smart and avoided our table the whole evening afterwards. It doesn't seem crazy to me to ask one of the employees such a question when you have already finished your starters for half an hour and no one notices and so you clear the table to serve your main course. Food was very tasty again!! Not used to anything else from Ferilli's. Once again, to the other two servers, Ruslana and Pietro, thank you for the pleasant experience! You are appreciated. Sylvia can work on her arrogance and not get stepped on so easily.

Owner is still running and was actually the only one who gave us attention. What a wonderful Italian restaurant Ferilli's is! We really like coming here. An excellent menu with both classic Italian dishes and special specials, and the same applies to the wine list. Nice, hospitable reception by the hostess and the service during the evening was also very nice and professional. It is not without reason that we regularly visit Ferilli's, we are fans!!

The food was tasty, real Italian classics on the menu, but otherwise a mediocre evening. Service took away a glass of Gin Tonic without asking even though it was not yet empty. But the low point was that we suddenly had to leave within 5 minutes because the next shift was ready. We were not told/reminded in advance, but within 2 minutes the 'fuck off' limoncellos and the ATM machine were on the table. Huge damper on the evening in a restaurant where it is clearly about seeing and being seen, which unfortunately does not improve the atmosphere.

Ferilli’s uses soaps in their bathroom, imported from Israel. Zelenski & Rozen from Tel Aviv. Noticed it because I liked the smell and took a picture so I wouldn’t forget this interesting detail. Dined here for 4-5 times before this, but won’t be returning. So about the rest: Service is terrible (!!!!), had to remind them and still wait 15 minutes each time for the bill. Lasagna, too oily, meat is overpowering. Arabbiata is not worth the price. Pistachio tiramisu is good. Under the impression that people come here more for the vibe, not the food or the service. But feel free to decide for yourselves :)

Sophisticated relaxed Italian restaurant with a pleasant outdoor terrace to enjoy your meal. Wouldn’t advise coming here if you need to pocket watch your expenses. The Acqua Panna is already at 7 euros a bottle, and that's kinda like their way of pushing up the bill. The olive oil/garlic starter bread was super delicious. The Tagliolini al granchio was not to my personal taste, but it was well made, the pasta was very fresh and the sauce well spiced. The Panna Cotta just tasted factory made. It's typically my favorite dessert, but I couldn't even finish it. Adequate service kinda awkward. I really wanted to like here but the feelings are mixed.

I don't recommend anyone to eat here. The lack of respect from the staff and the disappointing quality/price ratio of the food make this a place to avoid. My girlfriend had a stomach ache all evening and night. Today the 'host/owner' was present. He was sitting next to me with his friends. He looked my girlfriend up and down with a look of disgust. This without any shame. My girlfriend felt very uncomfortable about this. He did this to several women who came in. I really had an unpleasant feeling about this. It is not the review I want to write, but it is the reality.

Just like all the others .. should have read the reviews but my stomach after 7 hours of walking Just wanted to sit and eat. Major tourist trap. Red flags all around. Italian restaurant , not one person Italian who worked there. Secondly some of the dishes Italians themselves wouldn’t create let alone serve . I got the grilled chicken with Insalata and spaghetti $16,95 euro a cola light and cider . I wish I took a picture . Not an ounce of dressing and or oil and vinegar for the salad . The grilled chicken Was definitely pre cooked flavourless and tomatoe sauce was simple strained sauce from a can no flavour herbs . I ate what I could , as I was hungry and paid for it

We had a great meal at this charming Italian restaurant. Centrally located and easily accessible. There's a nice atmosphere with live music. The tables are a bit too close together, so it quickly gets noisy. The service was friendly and the order was taken correctly. The bread and burrata appetizer was delicious. The pizza main course was also excellent. However, the homemade lemonade was far too sour; it felt like you were taking lemon with every sip and bite. A successful evening nonetheless!
