The restaurant was absolutely wonderful. The atmosphere was elegant and beautiful, and the food was truly delicious. What made the experience especially memorable, however, was the incredibly friendly and attentive service. A special thank you to Andrea, Luigi and Lucie for taking such wonderful care of us and making us feel so welcome. We enjoyed the evening so much that we actually came back the very next day for lunch, which probably says it all! A truly wonderful experience, and we would happily come back again.

I came here occasionally for lunch. Everything was great. Yesterday we came for dinner, a table had been reserved in advance. The service was absolutely terrible. The wait for the waiter to order was 35 minutes. After ordering, they mixed up the dishes twice and even managed to bring us a menu so we could point out which starter we ordered. The cocktail they brought was non-alcoholic (when I asked why? They said no, that's normal... even though the waiter had previously repeated that it was virgin). The worst experience in a place I always considered decent.

Went there with a friend visiting from Dubai, and it was one of the worst service experiences I’ve had. We waited more than 45 minutes for our food, and not once did anyone apologize for the delay. Even after we paid the bill, there was still no acknowledgment or apology. The manager with the huge mustache seemed more interested in fixing his mustache than actually looking after guests or making sure we were properly served. To top it off, an espresso and the bill took 20 minutes to arrive. Really disappointing experience. The service was terrible. Never more will come here.

I had dinner with colleagues at an authentic Italian restaurant in a top Amsterdam neighborhood. Warm welcome, excellent service, and kudos to the Roman waiter who served us, who was attentive to detail. Delicious dishes and truly traditional, classy cuisine. My paccheri with Wagyu ragù were superb! The tiramisu was perfect, not too sweet and without added alcohol. My compliments!

The genuinely warm welcome from the hostess was immediately the highlight of the evening. The glasses of wine were also nice, but never worth 20+ euros per glass. The service was impersonal, and the food downright mediocre. The tuna was overcooked, even though I asked for it raw. There are dozens of Italian restaurants in Amsterdam better than this one, and most of them are much more affordable too.

It is such a shame about this place. I used to go there really often and it was always cozy and the food was good. Until recently, when I've been there 3 times and the service is just so incredibly bad. The waiters are playing hide-and-seek here. I constantly have to ask for everything again 4 or 5 times, wait 2 hours for the main course, and the food has also gone downhill. It used to be a nice place, perhaps unfortunately ruined by the hype! A pity.

The food options are not suitable for everyone, the pasta tastes nothing special.

Seated us in the dirtiest corner of the terrace while it was empty. Pasta not fully cooked and very poor value for the price. I think the lobster was already dead before the restaurant even opened, not fresh. You pay €40 for tomato pasta. Nice woman though, downside was the cramped, dirty table in the corner.

We had a wonderful experience as a family with an infant and food allergies. The staff was incredibly accommodating, were patient, and very graceful with us. We had to wait 15mins for the check but that’s okay.

The tomato soup was very salty and very thick. It wasn't soup, but more of a sauce. The truffle pasta wasn't particularly special either. The service and atmosphere were there, though.

The restaurant has a beautiful atmosphere and stylish decor, but unfortunately the service completely ruined the experience. This was one of the rudest Italian restaurants I’ve ever visited. Our order was taken incorrectly, and then a dish that had already been served to our table was taken away without any explanation. To “save time,” they later brought us a lasagna that was clearly undercooked. What made the experience even worse was the attitude of the staff—there was no apology, no attempt to fix the situation, just rude and dismissive behavior throughout. A nice ambiance alone is not enough. Good food and hospitality should go hand in hand, but sadly this restaurant failed on the service side. I would not recommend it and certainly would not return.

We came here to eat with high expectations, but left disappointed. Our aperitif was forgotten, so we only received it after the starter and immediately after the main course. The food was quite heavy on the stomach and too heavily peppered. The staff was friendly but paced in front of our table for our entire stay. This was extremely annoying.

I went on a date here with my boyfriend, but unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. While we had hoped for a fun evening, the opposite was unfortunately true. The service was incredibly poor. We had to wait a very long time before we could even order, and hardly anyone came to our table on their own. We had to walk to the host ourselves for everything: to ask if we could order, to order drinks, and even to finally pay. We felt like we were being completely ignored. If it were busy, I could understand that to some extent, but it was very quiet. Additionally, it seemed as if certain guests were served much more kindly and quickly than others, which gave us an unpleasant feeling. For us, this was the first and certainly the last time.

Ferilli's was close to where I was staying so I made a reservation for dinner. Nice outside patio which was full, so dined inside. Very nice inside as well. My waiter was very friendly and helpful. I had a glass of wine, Carpaccio Ferilli's, (delicious) and a special which was shrimp with saffron risotto. Food was excellent. I found it expensive but mainly because I'm visiting from Canada and our dollar is bad against the Euro. My meal plus tip, service was excellent, was just over $200 CDN, roughly €125.

Yesterday we went out for dinner to celebrate a graduation and a birthday. When making the reservation, we indicated this under “special occasions”. However, nothing was done about it.. We also found the service this evening to be very poor. We had to ask several times for dishes/drinks that were missing, there was no friendly chat, etc. We found this disappointing, as we are not used to this from Ferillis.

The food was okay, though some dishes were quite heavy in flavor or overpowering. The service wasn't always that good. For the price you pay, you expect better service. I had to wait a long time for the food, and it wasn't brought out at the same time. Additionally, it took almost 20-30 minutes to clear the empty plates. Also, the waiter touched our cutlery with his bare hands, which is unhygienic. I went to hotel school myself and have experience with how to properly place cutlery. That was completely absent here. It seemed as if the staff had never received any training. The amount of Heid lobster you get with the pasta is barely anything; for almost 40 euros, you expect more. This is very disappointing. The waiter also kept pushing us to give a tip. I understand that you want a tip, but if the guest is trustworthy and has already mentioned it, you shouldn't push for a tip.

I have never experienced such rude and unprofessional behavior in a restaurant before. The food was fine, but unfortunately the service was terrible. The waiter entered a higher tip on the card machine than the amount I had actually specified, which I found completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, he then started speaking very loudly in Italian at our table, creating an extremely uncomfortable and unpleasant atmosphere.

It was one of the worst dining experiences ever. There are a lot of things that went wrong this night. To begin with, the service was on “another” level, I would give 0 if I could here. The waitress was showing attitude from the very beginning when we were looking for a table. Then, we had to wait for food almost an hour for 2 “salads” made of terrible and not fresh products seemingly from Lidl. Overall I would not recommend this place if you want to have a good night.

Yesterday I went to Ferilli’s and had salt poisoning. At first I didn’t understand what was happening to me. I felt dizzy, nauseated, had a headache and my eyes were twitching. The staff wasn’t there to be of any help. I told them it’s too salt and that I’m not feeling well. They got me a new plate, but the damage was already done. I wanted to go to call the doctor. The staff acted so cold and annoyed. I paid, left the building sick and disappointed. Normally they aren’t like this. I’m a frequent visitor. This makes me not wanna come back anymore

One of my favorite restaurants in Amsterdam! Amazing food, nice and attentive staff and the tiramisu deserves its own separate compliment! My boyfriend and I are starting to become regulars.

Ferilli’s is a place I have enjoyed visiting for several years. The food is always tasty and of good quality. However, it would be nice if there was a bit more variety on the menu, as not much changes. Recently, I had a pizza with caviar, which was unfortunately on the small side. On the other hand, the pasta carbonara and the scroppino are highly recommended. Both inside and on the terrace, it is cozy and comfortable, with a great ambiance. Additionally, the new staff is very friendly and accommodating, which makes the experience even more pleasant. Definitely a nice place to keep coming back to!

5 for food, 1 for a terrible host and lousy service that ruins the experience. Especially restarted host, who can’t manage the tables and despite having half empty terrace keeps saying she doesn’t have any spots for us. When we left (we sit inside) there were still plenty of empty tables. But worth noting that food is good. Such a pity that overlook such an important thing as service

Ferilli’s was a major disappointment for me. The place looks beautiful and raises high expectations, but the food fell far short. A bumpy table is sloppy enough for a restaurant of this caliber. The service was friendly, but that couldn't save the rest. The pasta was lukewarm, seemed to have been sitting for a while, and was not prepared to a high standard. The portion of lobster was downright shamefully small. To me, Ferilli’s feels more like a restaurant where people come for the name, not for the quality. Absolutely not worth a repeat visit.

A truly wonderful place to be. Had dinner with my daughter-in-law before Dries Roelvink's anniversary concert. I have never eaten such delicious carpaccio in my life, but the saffron risotto was heavenly too. This evening was perfect. Bellissimo 👌🏼👌🏼

I have been to Ferilli’s Caffè Ristorante many times before and never had any complaints. It has always been a great place that I would gladly recommend to friends. However, my most recent experience was not as enjoyable. The waitress was somewhat rude. She began by asking what we would like to order, but while I was speaking, she was interrupted by someone else and simply walked away in the middle of the conversation. I found this rather strange. We then received our starters, which tasted good, but the presentation looked quite messy and unappealing. Later, the same waitress returned and asked if she could serve the main course. At that point, it was 22:03, and the restaurant was open until midnight. When I asked if we could have it in about ten minutes, she replied, “Oh, that’s fine—we just wanted to close the kitchen,” which already sounded odd. To make matters more confusing, new guests arrived shortly afterward and were still able to order food. This left me wondering how that was possible if the kitchen was supposedly closing.

This is an excellent Italian restaurant in Amsterdam, located in the fashionable area of De Pijp. The service is very good, all waiters are very kind and food is great. I tried the grilled pulpo salad which was superb and I followed with the crab pasta, also amazing. Portion sizes are very generous. My wife took the carpaccio which was also very good. I can also recommend to try the macchiatos. Overall very nice place, definitely I’ll come back again

I had an absolutely wonderful experience, thanks to our amazing waitress, Sara. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome from the moment we arrived. Her service was fast, professional, and always delivered with a genuine smile. Sara went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, and her positive attitude really made our visit special. Thank you for the outstanding service we will definitely be coming back!

Excellent food and staff , highly recommended

We had dinner with a few girlfriends last night. It started off pleasantly, but that quickly took a turn for the worse. At one point, the entire restaurant was packed with people waiting, literally right next to our table. That completely ruins the atmosphere and ambiance. For a restaurant that positions itself as “chic,” it felt more like a busy takeaway place. Additionally, we really didn't think the way time was handled was okay. Apparently, you get 2 hours, and then an arrogant hostess comes to announce that you have another 15 minutes to order dessert. As if you can calmly eat a dessert in a few minutes. The most disturbing thing was that the next guests had already been standing next to our table waiting for half an hour, practically in our faces, while we were still eating. That is simply awkward and disrespectful. Due to the extreme busyness, the staff could barely walk normally or pass by tables to serve. As an owner or manager, surely you see this happening too? Especially when you are walking around yourself…. This just looked chaotic and unprofessional. All in all, I have rarely experienced such poor organization and service. These kinds of experiences really detract from your business. You're better off eating next door; top service at Jondani!

Every time I go to Ferilli’s, I hope Angela is there. As delicious as the food is, Angela’s presence really completes the atmosphere. She is always friendly and proactive, you only have to look at her and she immediately comes over with a smile. Angela, you’re amazing! Thank you for always providing the best service.

I called five times to make a reservation. Each time a woman answered and asked me to wait a second, but I ended up waiting for 20 minutes. On the fifth call, when I tried to book a table, she again told me to wait a second. Nice service, guys! 🤝 I think you should make some changes in the way you handle reservations.

A fabulous dining out experience for our first evening in Amsterdam. We hadn't reserved but that was fine. A lovely lady welcomed us and from then on excellent service from a team that clearly enjoy working together. The lychee cocktail was sublime, pasta dishes had superb flavour and definitely try the meringue cake.

We made a reservation because we'd had a great meal there a few years ago. We called to politely cancel, but they didn't understand any Dutch. We ended the call because we couldn't understand each other due to a poor connection. We then canceled the reservation online. They then angrily called us back, asking how dare we hang up and saying they would save our number so we'd never be welcome in the restaurant again if this happened again. After that, the number kept calling us. Surprised by how rudely and angrily we were addressed, we eventually blocked the number. We now also understand why the reviews from last year have been so terrible. At least they don't have to worry about us ever coming back.

Staff were fantastic and food was good too. We were dressed a little scruffy as we were heading to the airport, expected to not be seated. Staff took our coats and bags for us. The food was great - Would visit again.

Everytime I come here I feel like I come home. The service is incredible, I have to give a shout out to Sara the bar manager, she is simply the best!! The drinks she makes are 1000/10. Her signature lychee cocktail is a MUST. Even if I just come for some tea, she makes a special type which is just incredible. Her service is just impeccible! She makes me want to come back always. It’s rare to see service that great in Amsterdam. Thank you to Sara, the rest of the staff and to Ferellis for being such a nice and warm place to go to.

During my visit to Amsterdam, accompanied by two friends, I had the opportunity to try the famous Ferilli’s restaurant. We received a warm welcome and were quickly seated. Reservations are highly recommended, especially on Saturday evenings, as the restaurant is very popular due to its reputation. Once seated, our order was taken promptly. I opted for the "Berry Sour" cocktail, made with fresh blueberries, rosemary syrup, cranberry juice, fresh lemon juice, and sparkling pink grapefruit water. It was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. For my main course, I chose the Tagliolini al Tartufo, an absolutely exquisite truffle pasta: creamy, flavorful, and intensely truffle-infused. A true delight for truffle lovers! The restaurant has a warm and inviting atmosphere, with soft lighting that encourages relaxation. I felt very comfortable there and I will not hesitate to return on my next visit to Amsterdam.

The Milanese is my favourite item on the menu and is definitely worth you visiting to have. Staff are friendly and helpful.

The food was good but not amazing. The staff does their job, but I didn't see any passion for what they do, which made it feel strange, and we had to wait quite a while. I've been there twice and I won't go again.

Make sure you book with a white name, or they put you upstairs. downstairs (white) vs upstairs (colored). Lekker bezig - jongen met de pet! Ps the lobster pasta was a miss, lobster meat inside the shell didnt exactly taste fresh.

I was on a business trip with a potential client, so good service really mattered. Adriano was amazing and it was absolutely not obvious that he was new. He worked with so much confidence and ease, honestly like someone who has been there for years. He was friendly, attentive, and everything went smoothly, which made the dinner feel relaxed and enjoyable. Adriano definitely made a great impression on both of us and really elevated the whole experience.

Not worth a visit, much better places to eat in Amsterdam. One of the worse carbonara I’ve ever tasted - over salted and peppered, hard pasta (not authentically Al Dente) and the garlic bread served as a starter tasted stale. Generally obnoxious staff and not true Italian customer service. Very disappointed. On a side note, beautiful interior design, but don’t be fooled!

A wonderful Italian restaurant, the food is amazing, the desserts are beyond amazing, the price is worth it for these flavors. The owner, Carlo, is very warm and friendly, I will visit again as soon as possible.

Had an amazing dinner and would definitely recommend it. We trusted the recommendations of Carlo, the owner, and every dish was delicious, especially the fresh tomato paccheri and the ribeye, probably the best I’ve ever had in Amsterdam. The service was also great, with a special mention to the waiter who served our table and, of course, to Carlo for the great conversation and warm hospitality. The atmosphere was lively yet not noisy at all.

Never experienced such terrible service. Made a proper reservation and arrived to grab a bite to eat, only to be suddenly told they'd called to confirm the order. They then explained they hadn't been called and proved it, but they ignored us and didn't even try to help. The blonde woman, in particular, was very arrogant.

I have never had such a terrible experience in my life. I made my reservation weeks in advance. Despite having a reservation, you wait in a long queue for those with reservations, even though the duration of your stay isn't specified. We waited in line for almost an hour in the middle of the dining area just to get to our table. Your table wasn't ready; they were seating people at tables that had become vacant, and even though your reservation time had arrived, they didn't move the person sitting at your table, so you continued waiting in line. Of course, we later learned that we didn't even have a table available. Therefore, the excuse they gave us – "we'll seat you in 5 minutes" – was actually invalid. Instead of making amends, the staff were able to prioritize other people who had been waiting even longer, acting very indifferently and saying, "we did our best." Keep a close eye on your place in line because they might be unfair at any moment. The atmosphere and the crowd were nice. The food was quite delicious. However, I strongly advise those with religious sensitivities to ask the waiter about the ingredients of the food, as some ingredients aren't detailed on the menu.

Jesus, what appallingly bad service. We had a reservation and still had to wait 30 minutes to be seated. While we were eating, they kept asking us if we wanted to pay—absolutely awful and completely unwelcoming. The food was great and the atmosphere was fine, but the service was truly appalling. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, and I'll never be back.

The food has deteriorated enormously compared to two years ago. The price really doesn't reflect the quality. The manager came across as quite phony. One moment he was joking and friendly, but then he was ignored. Only the Italian waiter redeemed the evening somewhat. But we'd rather go here than somewhere else.

We had a delicious meal, but the service was very unpleasant. While we were eating our dessert, we were asked if we wanted anything else to drink, and the staff came by several times to check if we were finished. Without even asking for the bill, it was placed on the table, and our coats were even brought. We felt completely shooed away. We weren't even allowed to sit on the terrace after a short time. It's a shame, because the food was good, but due to the poor and rushed service, we won't be returning anytime soon.

Beautiful restaurant. I loved my main course the white truffle pasta but the rest of what we ordered the mains weren’t nice. The lobster pasta was really overcooked! The funny thing is that it was my bday and they charged us 10 euros per person to bring a cake! Also they took my cake in the kitchen and only put in the box the half cake that costs more than 100 euros. They eat my cake so I hope you enjoyed it, charging me for it also!

It was my first day in Amsterdam (October 20th). I saw this place near my hotel and wanted to go in with my dad. Unfortunately, we noticed that both the waiters and the hostess ignored us, while they attended to other people who even arrived after we did. We made eye contact with at least three staff members, asked for service three times, but none of them approached us or offered any service, even when we where seated in the next table of other people just arriving to the place (all of them were welcomed by the staff and instantly served). I don’t usually take these situations personally, but I do think it’s important to point them out. Every customer should feel welcome when walking into a restaurant, regardless of their origin, race, or nationality, especially those who come in with the intention of enjoying a meal and having a good time. Next time you see people choosing your restaurant to dine, consider it an honor, you are a city where there are thousands of places to eat, and they chose your place.

Ferilli’s definitely has the best heated terrace in Amsterdam – even at 10 degrees, you’ll feel like you’re dining on the Amalfi Coast. 🍷 The pasta is al dente, the wine flows come si deve, and the service is as warm as the heaters outside. Perfect for a dolce vita evening in Zuid.

We had a delicious meal. Unfortunately, there was no dessert. Poor service. We waited almost an hour for the dessert menu. Finally, I had to go to the entrance myself to ask for the bill. Not worth the money to go there.

We ate very well; everything we had for dinner was delicious. Very good service, extremely friendly, and they speak Spanish, which helped us a lot when ordering. Sara was very kind and polite. I recommend it.

Stopped here for dinner. Nice atmosphere with candlelit tables. A bit cramped inside with tables close together but still feels cozy. There’s a street front terrace seating area with heating for winter. There’s a nice selection of Italian dishes with lots of traditional favorites and more high end dishes like saltimbocca. Quality of the food is good and portions are quite large. Service is efficient with plenty of staff in the room. I enjoyed the saltimbocca and gelato with puffs, fruit and nuts. Good place for a quiet dinner with friends or with your partner.

Nice stylish restourant good food !!

Looked like an exceptional restaurant from the appearance but don’t be fooled, just glad the food was nice and that’s all it was ,tiny tables ,tiny portions especially when it comes to the pouring of wine,large bottles of water poured into class before you have opportunity to even ask for a smaller bottle. Extremely arrogant young staff that are forgetful, and that clearly feel they are above everyone else by the way they carry themselves around this establishment. Many tiny things in this place apart from the prices and arrogance. Clearly locals get full preference and not tourist friendly in any way . Not disability friendly at all. Toilets downstairs in a basement and front door access was tight with steps .

DISGUSTING service by a lady with glasses. Servers are always friendly, but this lady treated me appallingly. I'm a regular customer who always brings large groups there, and when I came by to pick up an order for guests, AFTER I PLACED my order, the lady with glasses came from behind to cancel my order, saying that "only customers in the store are allowed to order." And that I'm "not a customer." I've NEVER experienced this before and I was truly shocked. She literally called me "NOT A CLIENT." I was so shocked and left empty-handed. I will honestly NEVER come back here again simply because of the disgusting experience with this woman. It's truly disgusting. I'm in absolute shock.

Lady with the glasses, absolutely no class at all. I have never been treated this way in MY LIFE. As a client I was told I am “not a client” that it is “Not a Pâtisserie” in the most disgusting, disrespectful way I have EVER encountered. The other staff is always wonderful and the girl that took my order as Well, but then the lady with the glasses intervened and CANCELED my order and SENT ME AWAY EMPTY HANDED! I have NEVER EVER felt this way after visiting a restaurant especially my usual to go spots. Absolutely insane I am actually in shock.

I recommend replacing the manager with the glasses, or whoever it is, with a man or woman trained in etiquette. It will immediately improve the atmosphere and retain regular customers. I've read several negative reviews specifically about this woman. Zero class and zero professionalism. We will never return here because of her, and I will make this clear on every social media platform, to everyone around me. Simply shocking.

Waitresses are rare. If you dine here and you're a woman who looks attractive, you can expect the female staff to be very jealous and rude. So be prepared. The food isn't too bad, by the way; it's fine. It's more of a place to put arrogant, jealous staff in their place when you go.

We dined here tonight, and during dinner, a huge argument broke out next to us. There was a lot of name-calling, pushing and shoving, etc. There wasn't much glass throwing, but it was truly awful to be confronted with during a pleasant evening. At one point, people even just walked away from their tables because the atmosphere became so grim. The waiter we had made several rather odd remarks, so we suspected the argument was related to that, as he was also being attacked by a few guests. All in all, a very pathetic display. The atmosphere here tonight was comparable to that of a puppet show. While the food was beautifully presented and tasted really good, it was simply subpar. But all in all, it was simply subpar.

I was able to get in without a reservation at this Italian restaurant, where I walked in around 6:00 PM. It was still quiet then, but the terrace quickly filled up, and by the end of my visit, it was much busier. The restaurant is tastefully decorated with beautiful tablecloths, dimmed lighting, a centrally placed olive tree, and tableware bearing the restaurant's name. There's an open kitchen, offering a good view of the chef. The staff speaks primarily English and Italian, with a few Dutch speakers, all friendly, helpful, and attentive. The menu titles are in Italian, with Dutch explanations. There's a wide selection of classic dishes. I chose pasta carbonara and tiramisu for dessert. The pasta sauce, richly peppered, was exquisite in flavor and texture, but the pepper was a bit too overpowering for my liking. The tiramisu was a large dish and not well-proportioned; lots of mascarpone, little coffee and liquor. It's not really a hearty meal, as the cream is too filling. I thought the price was quite steep, but that probably also has to do with the restaurant's location. Not a bad experience, but there's room for improvement in terms of food.

The food wasn't served at the same time, so we couldn't eat together. The food tasted nothing special. I wouldn't go there again.

The food is good. The service is too sluggish to encourage sales, with prices that are difficult for me to justify.
