I have never had such a terrible experience in my life. I made my reservation weeks in advance. Despite having a reservation, you wait in a long queue for those with reservations, even though the duration of your stay isn't specified. We waited in line for almost an hour in the middle of the dining area just to get to our table. Your table wasn't ready; they were seating people at tables that had become vacant, and even though your reservation time had arrived, they didn't move the person sitting at your table, so you continued waiting in line. Of course, we later learned that we didn't even have a table available. Therefore, the excuse they gave us – "we'll seat you in 5 minutes" – was actually invalid. Instead of making amends, the staff were able to prioritize other people who had been waiting even longer, acting very indifferently and saying, "we did our best." Keep a close eye on your place in line because they might be unfair at any moment. The atmosphere and the crowd were nice. The food was quite delicious. However, I strongly advise those with religious sensitivities to ask the waiter about the ingredients of the food, as some ingredients aren't detailed on the menu.

Jesus, what appallingly bad service. We had a reservation and still had to wait 30 minutes to be seated. While we were eating, they kept asking us if we wanted to pay—absolutely awful and completely unwelcoming. The food was great and the atmosphere was fine, but the service was truly appalling. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, and I'll never be back.

The food has deteriorated enormously compared to two years ago. The price really doesn't reflect the quality. The manager came across as quite phony. One moment he was joking and friendly, but then he was ignored. Only the Italian waiter redeemed the evening somewhat. But we'd rather go here than somewhere else.

We had a delicious meal, but the service was very unpleasant. While we were eating our dessert, we were asked if we wanted anything else to drink, and the staff came by several times to check if we were finished. Without even asking for the bill, it was placed on the table, and our coats were even brought. We felt completely shooed away. We weren't even allowed to sit on the terrace after a short time. It's a shame, because the food was good, but due to the poor and rushed service, we won't be returning anytime soon.

Beautiful restaurant. I loved my main course the white truffle pasta but the rest of what we ordered the mains weren’t nice. The lobster pasta was really overcooked! The funny thing is that it was my bday and they charged us 10 euros per person to bring a cake! Also they took my cake in the kitchen and only put in the box the half cake that costs more than 100 euros. They eat my cake so I hope you enjoyed it, charging me for it also!

It was my first day in Amsterdam (October 20th). I saw this place near my hotel and wanted to go in with my dad. Unfortunately, we noticed that both the waiters and the hostess ignored us, while they attended to other people who even arrived after we did. We made eye contact with at least three staff members, asked for service three times, but none of them approached us or offered any service, even when we where seated in the next table of other people just arriving to the place (all of them were welcomed by the staff and instantly served). I don’t usually take these situations personally, but I do think it’s important to point them out. Every customer should feel welcome when walking into a restaurant, regardless of their origin, race, or nationality, especially those who come in with the intention of enjoying a meal and having a good time. Next time you see people choosing your restaurant to dine, consider it an honor, you are a city where there are thousands of places to eat, and they chose your place.

Ferilli’s definitely has the best heated terrace in Amsterdam – even at 10 degrees, you’ll feel like you’re dining on the Amalfi Coast. 🍷 The pasta is al dente, the wine flows come si deve, and the service is as warm as the heaters outside. Perfect for a dolce vita evening in Zuid.

Stopped here for dinner. Nice atmosphere with candlelit tables. A bit cramped inside with tables close together but still feels cozy. There’s a street front terrace seating area with heating for winter. There’s a nice selection of Italian dishes with lots of traditional favorites and more high end dishes like saltimbocca. Quality of the food is good and portions are quite large. Service is efficient with plenty of staff in the room. I enjoyed the saltimbocca and gelato with puffs, fruit and nuts. Good place for a quiet dinner with friends or with your partner.

Looked like an exceptional restaurant from the appearance but don’t be fooled, just glad the food was nice and that’s all it was ,tiny tables ,tiny portions especially when it comes to the pouring of wine,large bottles of water poured into class before you have opportunity to even ask for a smaller bottle. Extremely arrogant young staff that are forgetful, and that clearly feel they are above everyone else by the way they carry themselves around this establishment. Many tiny things in this place apart from the prices and arrogance. Clearly locals get full preference and not tourist friendly in any way . Not disability friendly at all. Toilets downstairs in a basement and front door access was tight with steps .

DISGUSTING service by a lady with glasses. Servers are always friendly, but this lady treated me appallingly. I'm a regular customer who always brings large groups there, and when I came by to pick up an order for guests, AFTER I PLACED my order, the lady with glasses came from behind to cancel my order, saying that "only customers in the store are allowed to order." And that I'm "not a customer." I've NEVER experienced this before and I was truly shocked. She literally called me "NOT A CLIENT." I was so shocked and left empty-handed. I will honestly NEVER come back here again simply because of the disgusting experience with this woman. It's truly disgusting. I'm in absolute shock.

Lady with the glasses, absolutely no class at all. I have never been treated this way in MY LIFE. As a client I was told I am “not a client” that it is “Not a Pâtisserie” in the most disgusting, disrespectful way I have EVER encountered. We dined here tonight, and during dinner, a huge argument broke out next to us. There was a lot of name-calling, pushing and shoving, etc. There wasn't much glass throwing, but it was truly awful to be confronted with during a pleasant evening. At one point, people even just walked away from their tables because the atmosphere became so grim. The waiter we had made several rather odd remarks, so we suspected the argument was related to that, as he was also being attacked by a few guests. All in all, a very pathetic display. The atmosphere here tonight was comparable to that of a puppet show. While the food was beautifully presented and tasted really good, it was simply subpar. But all in all, it was simply subpar.

I was able to get in without a reservation at this Italian restaurant, where I walked in around 6:00 PM. It was still quiet then, but the terrace quickly filled up, and by the end of my visit, it was much busier. The restaurant is tastefully decorated with beautiful tablecloths, dimmed lighting, a centrally placed olive tree, and tableware bearing the restaurant's name. There's an open kitchen, offering a good view of the chef. The staff speaks primarily English and Italian, with a few Dutch speakers, all friendly, helpful, and attentive. The menu titles are in Italian, with Dutch explanations. There's a wide selection of classic dishes. I chose pasta carbonara and tiramisu for dessert. The pasta sauce, richly peppered, was exquisite in flavor and texture, but the pepper was a bit too overpowering for my liking. The tiramisu was a large dish and not well-proportioned; lots of mascarpone, little coffee and liquor. It's not really a hearty meal, as the cream is too filling. I thought the price was quite steep, but that probably also has to do with the restaurant's location. Not a bad experience, but there's room for improvement in terms of food.

This is honestly the worst place to go and eat, or even to work. The main issue is management, which creates a negative atmosphere for both customers and staff. The manager speaks to employees in a humiliating and disrespectful way. It seems forgotten that staff members deserve respect — many are wealthier and more mannerly than the person managing them. Unfortunately, I have to retract my previous positive review. My last visit to this restaurant was a very disappointing experience, mainly due to the attitude of a woman working there, possibly Italian and probably the manager. I felt very rude and unfriendly, which made me feel extremely uncomfortable during my visit. I ordered a dish and specifically asked if it was squid rings. She confirmed this but didn't explain it clearly, so I thought it was calamari. When I tried to retract it, she reacted angrily and rudely. It was a very unpleasant experience, and I felt truly unwelcome. Unfortunately, this completely damaged my trust in the restaurant, and I will definitely not be returning!

My best friend had been wanting to go for months. Since it's not a Michelin-starred restaurant, I showed up at Ferrilis wearing my hat. Apparently, this isn't allowed (on the outdoor terrace) even though it had been raining all day. It's fine if there's a policy on this (although this isn't a Michelin-starred restaurant and I was wearing expensive clothes, but okay), but the way the staff said this was truly rude. It was very harsh and direct. I was completely shocked, and instead of responding kindly, they acted incredibly arrogant. We then left and had a delicious meal at MoMo. I would advise the staff to approach this more kindly in the future, rather than being aggressive and rude. We wanted a delicious, extensive dinner and came from Rotterdam for it. This really left a terrible aftertaste, and we will not be eating there again.

Dear Firelli’s Team, I’m writing to formally express my disappointment regarding the service I received during a recent visit to your restaurant. After waiting over an hour to be served, my companions and I were looking forward to ordering dessert. However, when we asked to see the menu, a female staff member with glasses abruptly pulled the menu out of our hands and loudly said, “No, can’t do,” without any explanation. She raised her voice in such a way that surrounding guests took notice, and we felt embarrassed and disrespected. While we understand there can be delays or limitations — such as the kitchen closing — nothing justifies being treated in such an unprofessional and frankly humiliating manner. What made the situation even more disappointing was the attitude of this particular staff member. She behaved as if she were doing us a favor, not as someone providing a service in hospitality. It’s quite ironic — she likely earns around €15 an hour, yet treated us with the arrogance of royalty. We came to enjoy ourselves, were ready to spend well (I could have easily bought the whole table for €500), and instead were met with disrespect and condescension. We chose Firelli’s expecting not just good food, but also respectful, quality service. Sadly, this experience left us feeling undervalued and deeply disappointed. I would appreciate the opportunity to speak directly with the owner or manager about this situation. I believe in giving feedback constructively, and I hope you’ll treat this complaint with the seriousness it deserves.

Looking around I saw almost every female there in sandals… if that isn’t sexist, what is? The girl hosting us was very friendly. The food thou to me is disappointing. I ordered steak and my friend fish….I specifically asked if it comes with the side dish. They said yes but, what we see is 3 potatoes each of us and a bunch of spinach. Common, im paying 50+ for a very small steak (pretty basic) and you can’t even put a portion of potatoes!? Not to mention the truffle - not even freshly grated but canned one. But you charge for it being “fresh”. How greedy restaurants have become in Ams is beyond me! You only see this price and food quality in this city - disappointing!

Not a good food at all. The lobster was far from fresh, noticeable from the strong smell, and unpleasant taste. Steak was average. Service was very late, but ok - not a problem as it gets busy at lunch time. The awful part was that the manager forced me to remove my cap. He didnt try to underaramd that i had a head surgery, and told us it is because of their classy dress code. Ironically 5mins after the main waiter belched so loud that took the dining mood from everyone.

An arrogance on the part of the person who should represent the face of the restaurant, as soon as someone enters (the woman who welcomes you when you enter) is the first person who makes you want to leave immediately. What happened today is the following : With a group of about 10 people, we were nearby and we noticed this restaurant, and we thought of asking if there were seats, I was the only person who entered to ask. Right from the moment I stepped into the restaurant, I saw the hostess making facial expressions that looked like she was either disgusted or bothered by something and strange faces towards me with this attitude of superiority. The moment I asked if we could sit down, she told “certainly” and then proceed to say later that some of us were wearing sweatpants, emphasizing this detail several times and continuing to make despised faces!!!! as if we didn't even have pants at all. I definitely respect the restaurant policy, if you can't enter with certain clothing, but you say it in a polite way, without criticizing anyone, and without believing yourself superior to the person in front of you!!! Only my Rolex on my wrist today is perhaps worth 13 times her monthly salary :) So let's learn to respect people, because we never know who we are facing

One of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in Amsterdam. The host’s service and attitude were arrogant and completely unfriendly she was acting super weird. I ordered the carbonara, and honestly, it was the worst I’ve ever had, and they charge nearly 25 euros for it! Given the location, you walk in with certain expectations, but the food and service fall drastically short. The only decent thing about this place is the decor and even that doesn’t make up for the terrible experience. Bad food, bad vibes, waste of money

This place is so havermelk friendly!! So chill so vibes so gezellig. Love the sustainable focus on organic bacteria in the sourdough bread paired with grass fed cow butter. So much social status value for the reasonable price of half my monthly salary at my sustainable vertical farming child care center NFT non profit. Management even offered to hang my De Appel tote bag so I could bless the free range minced cow that offered his life to my lasagna for my protein gainz at Saints and Stars (where the other half of my salary goes). Held space for my neighbors to offer a communal prayer for that next round of venture capital funding to come through. Much more authentic and hyperlocal than Locanda and La Fiorita. Already telling the Dubai Boys about Ferilli's, Peter Jan and his Slavic missus are ready to lay it down for the bio pinot. I especially appreciate the ChatGPT responses from management for each review here. See you again once I finish my after pay payments!

Since last summer, when I was there almost every day, I heard all kinds of bad experiences from acquaintances and friends. I didn't believe it. Now I've been there twice again last week. Both times we were turned away after being asked what we wanted to order. It wasn't enough. Apparently 'a waste of the table due to crowds'. At least that's what we were told. Despite this, several tables were empty for an extended period of time. I think it's crazy that you first have to explain what you're going to order before you can sit down. Apparently, only drinks and starter/dessert are no longer allowed. Never experienced this before (at no restaurant). I also asked for a table for 2. This was not possible despite many free tables. When I made a reservation online fifteen minutes later, it was possible. Very special. So I'm a bit done with Ferillis, even though it was a regular spot for me and my friends last summer. Shame.

Celebrated my friend's birthday. Unfortunately not a good memory. Upon arrival, we found it messy how we were put at the table and given our first drink. Today we had a disappointing experience at the restaurant. We arrived and were placed in a corner next to the kitchen (busy place), we have raised this before in the past and no success tonight either. We were told by the woman at the counter with long hair that the other places were reserved, but no one was sitting here. Once at the table, the waiter came to take our order, where we immediately indicated that we were coming for dessert, he said this would not be a problem. He then went to his colleague, I think she is a manager, a woman with a short haircut, she approached us and indicated in an unfriendly tone that we cannot sit here for dessert after half past eight. In the past this was always possible, it was a shame that this was not conveyed in a normal way because we were literally sent out in a humiliating way. For customers who come here regularly, this is too insane for words. Unfortunately, you have now lost loyal customers, but the service has deteriorated for at least a year.

Very nice staff. But sorry... so I was sitting here (Thursday April 3) with my wife and wanted to celebrate an anniversary. But I waited 1.5 hours for my food. Ordered my food at 8:30 PM and had 3 drinks and 2 starters in 1.5 hours. I placed the complete order and we had our starters within 15 minutes. And then we had to wait at least 1.5 hours for the main course. But I had already gone inside to ask for the bill because with all due respect: if my neighbors next to me get their orders within 25 minutes and I have to see them being served and I don't, it is really humiliating. We were continuously served wrong orders that belonged to other tables and we indicated several times that they were not our dishes, to which the employee also reacted frustrated. The waiter then argued with me that I had waited a maximum of 30 minutes. Then I asked for the receipt and it clearly showed that I had ordered it at 8:30 PM. He tried to throw sand in my eyes by showing a receipt with a completely different order to show the time. That frustrated me immensely, and to top it all off, I paid the full price and didn't even have the drinks taken off the receipt to compensate for the ridiculous time I waited. Yes the food is served but eventually after that I got up. By the way, I was here at 8:15 PM to 9:55 PM, you will probably see it in the system. For me, I pass Ferrelis, I often ate there with my father and mother, but I do not accept this humiliation

My recent visit to Ferilli's was very disappointing. I noticed that the staff makes conscious choices about where to seat guests based on their race. When this is addressed, it's as if they can't count to ten and just ignore the issue. Additionally, the manager gave me and my family dirty looks upon entering, which made the experience even worse. This type of behavior is definitely not what you would expect from a restaurant. I hope that in the future, more attention will be paid to customer service and treating all guests with respect.

Unfortunately, my experience at Ferilli's last Thursday was disappointing. Ten minutes before I arrived, I called the restaurant to ask if there was room outside. The lady on the phone clearly indicated that there was enough space available and that reservations were not necessary - we were welcome to drop by. However, upon arrival we were received by the same employee who asked if we had a reservation. When I indicated that I had just spoken to her by telephone, she reacted extremely suspiciously and stated in an unfriendly tone that the conversation had taken place “forty minutes ago”. I showed her that this had only been ten minutes ago, to which she stated without apology that there was no table available and we would have to wait at the bar “for about five minutes”. We took a seat at the bar but were then completely ignored. After fifteen minutes I spoke to the same lady again about our table, whereupon she indicated that she had no idea how long it would take - contrary to what she had promised earlier. Her tone and attitude were far from customer friendly throughout the entire visit. As a loyal customer, I am sad to say that I will not be coming back here. The service has noticeably deteriorated in recent years. Hospitality and communication should be the core of a good catering experience, and that was completely lacking here!!!

Ferilli's Café: not quite what I had hoped for Full of enthusiasm I sat down for lunch at Ferilli's Café. The atmosphere was pleasant, although I found it a bit chilly inside, so I kept my coat on. The service had its surprises. My 86-year-old mother asked for a small dish, but was recommended a dish that turned out to be so generous that the four of us could have eaten it. A case of 'less is more' turned upside down. And then the food: the avocado in my salad was a coarse mess that had clearly seen better days. It felt more like a botanical exploration than a crunchy, fresh treat. A bit of a shame, because I was really looking forward to it. Luckily the Chardonnay saved the day – it was delicious! But to be honest, given the price I expected more from this 4**** restaurant. Hopefully this was just an unlucky day, because the potential is certainly there!

Bad service and misleading reservation Reserved three weeks in advance for Valentine's Day (5:45 PM). Everything seemed fine until we placed our order (tiramisu, ice cream and a cocktail). Two minutes later we were told that we could only stay for half an hour because we didn't take a full dinner. This was never communicated in advance and was only mentioned after we ordered. If an entire dinner is required, this must be made clear when booking. A bottle of water also cost €7. I often go out to eat and have never experienced this. Not recommended if you expect decent service.

The food was too oily, cheesy and tasteless, and the starter and main course were served too quickly. At the end we wanted to order tea and coffee, but the bar was closed without notice and we suddenly got the bill. The atmosphere was also completely lacking. The food really wasn't value for money. Despite booking a table in the restaurant area, we were pushed towards the lounge with very low chairs, which was completely unsuitable for older parents and a baby. A lovely, small, authentic restaurant. Very friendly and attentive staff. We were there in the late afternoon. The tomato soup was sensational!! We would also order the vegetarian ravioli again anytime. Everything was freshly prepared and served piping hot ☺️ If we are ever in Amsterdam again, we will definitely come back ☺️
