Ferron in Wijk 01 Heerenveen

Ferron, Heereveen, aanrader. Voor ons de eerste keer in Heereveen. Een Google search brengt ons hier. Een mooie tent, terrasje voor de deur waar het prima toeven is. Super vriendelijke bediening. Alles op de kaart Italiaans, van de gerechten tot de borrel en de wijnen. Zelfs de eigenaar blijkt uit het zuiden van Italië te komen. De Da Maggio Chardonnay uit Romagna (😄), de Langhe Nebbiolo Rosato uit Piemonte (😋) een Nero d’Avola doc Aulico uit Sicilië en uit Puglia een Primitivo en een Nero di Troja (en ja, ik weet wat dit berekent 🤣). Meer mijn menu (gerookte meloen, bietjes, artisjokken, etc.), dan dat van mijn mannetje, maar goede producten, dat proef je. Wel aan de prijs, al kan dat ook aan de wijntjes gelegen hebben 🤓. Wanneer in Heerenveen, zeker de moeite waard.

A truly outstanding experience! Before we'd even decided whether to eat there, the chef himself came to the door to warmly welcome us and introduce us to the menu and concept. He was so convincing and personable that we went in immediately – and it was absolutely the right decision. Inside, we were served by an excellent waiter who gave us excellent advice. The welcome from the kitchen was a perfect start and immediately made us want more. The sandwich as an intermediate course was simply fantastic – perfectly matched, there's really nothing to complain about here. The real highlight, however, is the concept of the main courses: You choose only a starter, main course, or dessert, and indicate whether you're vegetarian or vegan, for example – and the chef spontaneously conjures up a plate with several small, varied dishes. We were pleasantly surprised – every dish was creative, outstanding in taste, and beautifully presented. The price is absolutely fair for this quality and this special experience. A clear recommendation for anyone who appreciates fine dining with personal service and a unique concept!

De restaurant eigenaar is geboren en getogen in Italië. Hij is bijzonder vriendelijk en heeft jarenlange horeca ervaring waarmee hij duidelijk het personeel heeft opgeleid. Er is een vast verrassingsmenu voor twee personen waarbij er per persoon een keuze mogelijk is tussen vlees/ vis en vega. Het Italiaanse eten is verrukkelijk en wordt aan tafel geserveerd met toelichting door de chefkok. Het prachtige grote pand met hoge plafonds bied ruimte voor veel meer tafeltjes, maar hier is bewust niet voor gekozen. De eigenaar is zichtbaar trots en waardeert het als zijn gasten een bijzondere avond hebben. Absoluut een aanrader voor iedereen in Heerenveen en omgeving. Helaas zijn we vergeten om fooi te geven, dat willen we met deze review compenseren. En als we nog een keer in de buurt zijn gaan we hier zeker weten weer uit eten.

Almost as soon as we sat ourselves at a table by the canal, the owner came out and let us know he had ordered the sunshine just for us. He was very friendly and obviously passionate about good food, good company and good times. He shared the Italian quote "Il dolce fer niente" - The Sweetness of Doing Nothing - and it resonated very well with us. They bake their own bread daily and it shows. The bread platter could have been a satisfying meal by itself.

I would have given the atmosphere 6 stars. The musician was playing comfortably, the sun was present on the terrace for a long time, the owner is very nice to the assertive, hard-working staff and I think the products are very fresh.

We had the 3 course surprise meal. Rarely have we eaten so damn well. The chef personally presented us with his creations. Typically Italian flair and so much warmth. Thank you very much, we would love to come back!

Shared dining what a great surprising experience! No standard dishes but a diversity of flavors. And top wines with it. Owner Nunzio makes everything Italian at its best. Really recommended. We will come back soon.

Had dinner at the Posthuis before a theater performance. The desired departure time was carefully taken into account. Very friendly service, the owner and the 'top chef', a really nice and good team! Atmospheric restaurant, tastefully laid out and decorated. The food, shared dinner, was of excellent quality, very varied and above all far from standard, highly recommended! We will definitely come again!

Went for the second time today. 1st time a dinner tasting and now a beer tasting. Both times pleasantly surprised by the delicious dishes and the enormous hospitality, the owner is an excellent host and the chef's explanation at the table makes it a fantastic culinary experience.

I really enjoy coming to Ferron. The atmosphere is nice, the staff very friendly and the food great. I am a big fan of the shared dining concept. The staff was very friendly, the restaurant was nicely decorated and the food (lunch) was delicious. Normally I'm not a fan of bread dishes, but it exceeded expectations.

Yesterday we met with a friend/old classmate. She is from Midwolda and I am from Eemnes, so I was looking for a restaurant in the middle. And that was a bull's eye. Great welcome, delicious lunch, "the foccacia club", highly recommended! Extremely friendly staff who do everything to make you happy and a friendly, humorous host who and his team stand for quality and an afternoon/evening of enjoyment. After lunch we went into town and came back for dinner, a platter that was chosen for us and again too tasty! Delicious wine with it. We will definitely come back here. Despite an hour and 8 minutes 😉 travel time! Thanks for the great day

Gewoon een heerlijk restaurant waar je je eigenlijk gelijk al thuisvoelt. Vriendelijke en gezellige mensen, nemen tijd voor je, leuke jolige gesprekken met elkaar. Kortom een top restaurant waar we zeker vaker gaan komen. Prijs/kwalteit verhouding meer dan uitstekend. Hier word je behandeld zoals je behandeld wilt worden. Daar kunnen velen een voorbeeld aan nemen.

We came in here and didn't actually know what the concept meant, we had a drink and this was then explained. We opted for the dinner tasting main course. And it was really delicious, definitely recommended! I go here more often.

Walked in for a beer, but was so impressed by the ambiance that I decided to order a pastrami sandwich once I sat down in the couch. Good decision, because that was probably the best pastrami I ever had. Fresh, warm, authentic and very tasty. Relaxing music and attentative staff. It's clean and cozy. 10/10 would recommend. Finished my sandwich and forgot to take a picture, sorry.

We ate there according to Google recommendations. We came from Munich by boat and have rarely eaten such great Italian cuisine. Everyone who gets stranded in Heereveen goes to Ferron to eat...

Super nice place for a nice lunch.

Last Saturday we had a wonderful time with friends in Ferron. In addition to the delicious dishes, many plates passed by, and the excellent wine and the delicious Thai Thai tripel (highly recommended), and refined liqueurs, it was of course the staff who made it all with great motivation a great experience. had it made. Of course, host Nunzio is the man at the helm, but he has managed to organize a wonderful team of enthusiastic colleagues around him, who will go out of their way to make everyone happy. Of course, full praise for the chef, Joey. His culinary heart is in the right place. The dishes look beautiful, and he calmly explains what is being served. Ferron is definitely a great asset to Heerenveen, and the rest of the country.

A perfect way to end the summer. A sunny terrace with moody music and tasty snacks and drinks. All this was possible at Ferron in Heerenveen. Winner of the tastiest lunchroom sandwich 2023. The food is almost all organic and very tasty. The Limoncello is homemade. Musicians are regularly invited for live music. A cozy atmosphere and friendly service. Highly recommended!

Heerlijke verse Italiaanse gerechten op de lunchkaart en gewoon goede koffie. Op het terras heb je een leuk uitzicht op de mooiere panden van Heerenveen. Ook het diner is een aanrader met verschillende creatieve proeverijen van goede kwaliteit. Prijs kwaliteit is bijzonder goed. Wat het restaurant nog specialer maakt is dat iedereen oprecht vriendelijk is. Altijd even een praatje of een goede uitleg in een relaxte sfeer. Heel leuk zo een stukje Italië in Heerenveen.

Nunzio en zijn staf zijn zeer gastvrij, creatief en vriendelijk. Zijn roots vind je terug in de keuken, de heerlijke wijnen en de sfeer. Er is maar een beperkte kaart maar veel is in overleg mogelijk. Onder andere lekkere borrelplanken en diverse proeverijen van bijvoorbeeld hoofdgerechten of desserts. Of proef eens zijn limoncello met unieke smaken! Binnen wordt er ook kunst geëxposeerd die ook te koop is en regelmatig kun je er ook naar live muziek luisteren. Wat ons betreft een unieke aanwinst voor Heerenveen en een absolute aanrader.

Was here for the first time last Wednesday. Food was really delicious. You really notice that the menu is put together with attention and love. The chef comes to the table to explain everything and the owner knows how to entertain his guests. Super spontaneous, humor and up for craziness. I love! I regularly eat out, but I have almost never experienced this level of hospitality. Nothing is too crazy. Definitely come back here, if only for the cocktails because they were really delicious and not full of ice as you often see at restaurants. Value for money and an asset to Heerenveen!

We (three adults and two children) had dinner at Ferron in Heerenveen. What a fantastic experience! The shared dining concept with Italian flavors was really great. The staff was super friendly and made us feel welcome straight away. We had a delicious meal, and it is clear that customer satisfaction is of paramount importance here. Heerenveen can be happy with such a winner. Highly recommended!
