Holy cow... A portion of kibbeling with fries and a bland salad for €16.50... Summer 2024 I can't believe it...

We had fish and chips for three people. The food was fresh, hot, and delicious. The portions were very generous, and we paid less than €25, including drinks. Excellent food with great value for money. We highly recommend it! We'd gladly come back again.

So far, I've always had delicious fried fish, kibbeling, fries, and salad. Cheap isn't exactly cheap, but it's normal in the Netherlands these days... Tables could be wiped more often...

Fish restaurant in the heart of Callantsoog with a wide selection of fish and other dishes. We went for the kibbeling (fried fish) and breaded mussels with fries. The food was ready quickly and was truly delicious. The staff is friendly, and the prices are very reasonable. If you're in the area, this is highly recommended!

Never had better kibbelings! By far the best – even better than the famous fish stall behind Albert Heijn, which is only open on Wednesdays. The cheese assufflé was also simply fantastic, the best we've ever had. Matjes herring, croquettes, salad… all absolutely delicious!

Great seafood café! Everything is delicious, the service is fast, and there’s a wide variety of dishes — from classics to something a bit different. A perfect spot for tasty seafood fast food, I’ll definitely come back!

Fast food joint in the heart of Callantsoog. The kibbeling and fries are really good and always fresh. In addition to indoor seating, there's also the option of sitting outside. When you order, you'll receive a pager that signals when your food is ready. There's no table service.

As usual, top-quality fish at fair prices. 🥰 This restaurant has been a Callantsoog staple for me since I was a child. The prawns are amazing! I'll be back again and again. 💫

Really good fish, also deliciously seasoned. Definitely one of the best fish and chips we've had so far. A definite recommendation. But if you don't take it to go, beware of the cheeky, thieving seagulls ;))

We went to the restaurant twice this year because we had good experiences there last year. But the quality has gotten so bad; we got fries that were completely hard and very greasy (old grease). Kibbelings were cold. The price board shows kibbelings available individually or as a set meal with different weights. However, all portions are served without being weighed, so that for a normal portion we actually served more than for a set meal (i.e. serving according to feel). The display also looked very expansive. When we mentioned it, we were very rudely turned away by a German worker. This was our last time there. So anyone who really knows something about fish will recognize it straight away. It's a shame that they're letting up like this; it's probably based on the motto: enough people come who accept it and the sales are okay.

Fries made from old grease, burnt and bone-hard. The kibbeling wasn't tasty and probably also fried in old grease. The entire meal was cold. I won't be ordering it again.

The food was excellent. The portion of kibbeling is generous. The seasoning is different than usual, but it tastes good. The fries are a real 10+. It's also nice that the fries and other snacks are made separately from the fish. The fries and other snacks (like the frikandel) don't taste fishy at all.

This is where you'll find what's probably the most elegant haringsbroodje. With onions and cucumber, plus a bit of delicious salad. It's not exactly cheap, but it's worth it!

Good food, we always enjoy coming here. However, the interior could be a bit more tidy. The tables were sticky.

We ordered three portions of kibbeling (fried fish). These were very dry and not very tasty. The accompanying raw vegetables, however, were delicious. The staff was anything but welcoming.

The food was delicious, and despite the huge crowds because we were there during peak season, we received our orders incredibly quickly. A special compliment to the young lady (daughter of the owner, perhaps?) who remained calm and friendly despite the crowds and sometimes difficult customers.

Quite okay for takeaway food. Squid rings are better, and the waiter mixed up the sauce twice, though they politely corrected it.

Somehow, this place slipped into the limelight during our previous visits to Callantsoog. But from now on, it's a permanent fixture in our repertoire. Absolutely delicious fish sandwiches, prepared to our liking, and the main courses are also super tasty and freshly prepared—all at reasonable prices. But please take the warning sign about the seagulls seriously. One of my herring sandwiches was devoured in two seconds—by a seagull 😂😂

We had a delicious mussels and a choice of four mussel dishes. The terrace was lovely and the staff were friendly.

We had two portions of kibbeling. Nicely seasoned, but the fish itself was disappointing. They were very thin, more crust than fish. A good kibbeling contains large chunks of tender fish, and this certainly wasn't. The portion size was otherwise fine.

A delicious fast-food restaurant very centrally located in the town center and close to the beach. There's a wide selection of delicious dishes. From fish sandwiches to snacks to full menus, there's something for every price range. You can eat inside or outside, although there's a clear warning about seagulls outside. Orders are placed inside at the counter. After ordering, you receive an electronic pager that prompts you to pick up your food shortly afterward. The portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable for fish dishes. We were definitely full every time.

Super delicious Dutch fish dishes – fresh, well-seasoned, and authentic! The fries were also delicious. The central location is perfect, ideal for a break from a stroll through the city. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and you immediately feel at home. Highly recommended if you want to enjoy good fish in a relaxed atmosphere!

“Fresh” plaice fillets in the display case are taken by the employee, who has just touched money with his hands, without gloves or washing his hands. There are flies on the “fresh” fish in the display case. All in all, an unhygienic event. Not recommended!

It's an absolute must to eat kibbeling with fries here at least once or twice per stay. Large portions, freshly prepared, and delicious. You can either eat in or (depending on where you live) takeaway.

Haring besteld om mee te nemen, niemand in het restaurant aanwezig , 1 tafel buiten bezet. 7 medewerkers achter de balie, buzzer gekregen, na 20 min gevraagd waar de bestelling bleef. Nog ff geduld komt er zo aan. 5 min later buzzer nooit afgegaan.na ong 1/2 uur de bestelling gereed. Haring was super, maar het wachten veel te lang.

Very tasty fish at moderate prices.

A lovely fish and chips fast-food joint. Nicely decorated, fresh fish from rolls to snacks to set meals, with something for every price range, to go, to take away, or to eat in, inside or outside. Outside, however, you're warned about the seagulls and birds, which are very cheeky and just wait for a bite to come by. The staff is friendly, and there's even a member of staff there who speaks very good German. We had the plaice menu, kibbeling snack, North Sea crab roll to go, and on another day, herring roll and salmon roll, all very tasty and fresh.

The fresh fish you get here is the best you can eat. We always go here several times during our vacation. And we have been doing this since we were young. Always friendly staff and there is a good atmosphere.

I’ve never saw someone clean herring so damned slow. I waited 15 minutes on 2 herrings. Even if the herrings aren’t easily cleanable, 15 minutes is absurd.

If you look at the other restaurants, you can reasonably recommend Fishy. You can get food at the counter, either eat it there or take it away. Portions at a fairly reasonable price.

You can eat really tasty fish there, absolutely recommended, value for money is right

In my opinion, this restaurant is not recommended. We had 1x fried fish (Lekkerbek) € 6,- and 1x the fried fish plate (Plate Lekkerbeck) with salad and fries € 17,-. One would think that this would be a larger and richer portion. The plate for €6 had everything on it that was on the plate for €17. Only the fries were missing. Fish and salad were the same amount. They actually charged €11 for the fries. I then spoke to the boss on site. His answer: "That's the way it is. We can't change it here. We're not the owners." Great experience. I find that silly. Hope the local fish shops benefit from this bad behavior. We won't visit it again. Best regards

Good kibbeling, perfect fries, tasty raw vegetables

Definitely not recommended! Together with my father we ate the worst kibbeling we have ever had. This was not cod, the crust was limp and greasy, and the fish tasted of nothing. Save yourself the disappointment and don't eat here!

The quality of the food is good. The prices are upscale. What we find unacceptable, however, is the sight of staff repeatedly helping themselves to the French fries, licking their fingers, and then serving food to guests without washing their hands.

The food was ready quickly. Large portions (already three-quarters gone in the photo). The kibbeling was not overly seasoned, the fries were thick and nice and crispy. Excellent coleslaw.

We were in Julianadorp and really wanted to eat a fish sandwich... since we couldn't find anything in Julianadorp, we drove to Fishy. We thought it was absolutely delicious and went back the next day. We can only recommend it.

Very good kibbeling and the remoulade is delicious. The service was very friendly and we had almost no waiting time. In terms of price, it was a little more expensive than the previous year. But that's understandable given the circumstances. The store itself was clean and I always enjoy coming here 👍

Delicious snack foods. It is always a must visit for us when we are in Callantsoog. Here you can get everything the Netherlands is known for. Fries with curry ketchup, frikandel, bitterballen, kaassoufflé, kibbeling and much more. There is self-service. Fishy is open all year round.

Ordered Kibbeling of cod small portions with 1 coke 11 euros. Unfortunately it was not cod but pollock fish all put on 1 small plate with sauce and salad. Limp dough crust. Not worth repeating.

Before we go home again after 4 days in Callandsoog, let's have some fish. Taken breaded mussels and shrimps. Accompanied with fries, salad and sauce/majo. Whole was hot and tasted great. Service fast, but was not busy at this time. Although there was a constant rush. It was a bit chilly there, due to a door that did not fit properly into the closing plate. The advice is to close it properly. There is a wide variety of fish available there. Think a popular tent there in Callandsoog.

Food very tasty! And you'll be full! There were three of us and we each had the fish and chips menu, prices were totally okay! BUT €3.50 for a can of Pepsi!?!? This is really exaggerated and a rip off! But what do you do when you go out to eat!? Of course you also take something to drink and are forced to pay these prices, so one star is deducted.

It's more reminiscent of our German North Sea restaurant, but you can eat deliciously
