Really good iced drip, that wasn’t muted by the ice at all. Espresso tonic was also very bright and enjoyable. Carrot cake is extremely moist but would be better without nuts. Cheesecake was creamy and flavorful. On top of all that, their outdoor space is really lovely.

Really cute cafe in Utrecht owned by the lovely Vicky and Michael. They are very invested in the coffees which results in a really tasty elaborative filter menu. We had a miso chocolate cookie and carrot cake which were delicious. A lot of love and attention is put into this cafe which we can really appreciate 🤍

My favorite café in Utrecht. The owners are very sweet and invested in their customers. There are great options for non-coffee drinkers, my favorite of which is the Hojicha Late. For food, I would recommend the Hojicha cheesecake, the grilled cheese (sublime cheese) or breakfast platter.

You have to look for it but once found a real gem with great coffee

The tuna brioche was absolutely delicious! They still managed to make a very warm sandwich for me even though it was so busy on a Sunday. The music they play is also very nice, immaculate music taste

Fufu is the perfect spot for people who are passionate about coffee. They really take their time to help you make the right choice. Go to this Coffee Studio if you really want to taste something new when it comes to specialty coffee!

Great place with friendly people. They let us smell the grinded coffee before brewing, I really liked this touch! The brioche sandwich was so good! The atmosphere fits the area so good but it’s very urban so no tables etc. Dog allowed :)

Really nice to see a specialty coffee bar that puts this much of effort into their coffee brewing. The pourover was great. So was the service and allround atmosphere in the cafe.

Lovely coffee! Got to try a new type of coffee beans that tasted like caramel and coconut! We arrived just before closing time so they only had one piece of cheese cake left of the one we wanted, but then they gave us an extra one for free of a different flavor - exciting and indescribable taste 😁

The basque cheesecake matcha is by far the best matcha pastry i have tasted! It was sweet, but not too sweet. It actually tasted like matcha, the good kind. Again, not too strong. Very beautiful and well balanced basque cheesecake. Would 100% come back for this one alone, one of a kind. Excited to try the other flavors and intrigued by the cinnamon buns multiple people specifically came for. I ordered a cappuccino with coconut milk. It was okay, for me it felt like the ratio espresso to milk was a bit off. I guess because they used 2 shots of espresso in a pretty small cup, or it could also be very well the coconutmilk! What stood out to me was the pretty slow and chill vibe. This also resulted in some customers waiting pretty long for their order when the cafe became a bit busy. Definitely a cafe you can enjoy more when you are not in a rush and when its less busy. The interior is a very open plan, with limited seating indoors and outdoors. Overall, a pretty good experience and would definitely come back again for the baked goods! Also the staff were very respectful and kind, thank you for the lovely experience.

Fufu: not only the name of their cat but also the coziest neighborhood cafe you will find in the Netherlands 🙈 I love trying out new places but this is one of the spots you keep wanting to come back to. I normally pick matcha (which is really good here! They use round&round matcha:“mountain green”) but here it’s just like home; i can pick whatever i feel like. I have tried almost all the pastries but the ones i keep coming back for are the heavenly cheesecakes, not too sweet and such fun flavors!! My favorite is the hojicha 😋 The owners are the sweetest, most genuine and hardworking people 💌 i can’t wait to see how far this cafe will grow, because it truly had so much to offer and they have only been open for 3 months?! All in all: GO !!

(Edit): we did give you feedback, but the reaction was; we are new and just starting out. I’m sorry but that is the easy way out when you profile yourself a certain way through social channels. So expect when other people form the same field of work visit, they will hold you to that standard. This got to the point a simple review doesn’t work. We got tipped to visit whenever we go to Utrecht, online they try to exude quality, which does not reflect to the served beverage. The coffee said to be well rested was weak flavour wise, as if the roasted bean was from a two year old crop, not a bad crop just stale. The coffee they bought in from an outside roaster was good. Besides that it’s a place where their friends visit mostly (and that’s reflected in other reviews, which does really take away from the non biased platform this should be) it might seem hard that other professionals now want to give a piece of mind, but the fact we noticed were: Matcha lumpy, Coffee weak in flavour, Social media hyping, but in the store using the excuse we are new. Changing the way you express yourself online will avoid this as well. We got tipped to go here because it can and should only be quality which you try to reinforce online, but; in the store it’s, we just started out, bear with us. If you promote quality either present it or don’t flex it yet. Because just like now you can be reviewed by other people in the same field of work. We did have full respect for the hard work you put out on a busy weekend day. Kudos for that. But for now the verdict is that like to many things opening at the moment: hype is to hard and they are so freshly started (and not from this field of work) there is no baseline for claiming good quality yet.

Hands down my favourite cafe in Utrecht! After just one time I knew I’d become a regular. The coffee and cappuccinos are perfect every time, the chai lattes are delicious (even better if you get it iced in summer)! The baked goods are delicious! Go for a miso cookie or a lemon frosted carrot cake and you’ll be on cloud nine! The atmosphere and warm embrace you feel every time to enter Fufu is the absolute cherry on top! Vicky and Michael are so passionate about what they do, it’s so cozy to chat with them and hear about their dreams for Fufu. Can’t recommend more!

My girlfriend and I have been to Fufu Coffee Studio many times over the past two months, and it has now become one of our favorite places in Utrecht. The matcha and hojicha drinks are prepared perfectly every time - full of flavor, beautifully balanced and never too bitter or too watery. Fufu is also really great when it comes to pastries. They have some firm favorites, such as the matcha, vanilla and hojicha Basque cakes, all of which are delicious. But the nice thing is that they sometimes spontaneously bake extra things, just because they feel like it - from scones to other unique baked goods. They don't appear on an official menu, but who knows what will be in the display case that day – and so far it has always been tasty. The atmosphere in the shop is very relaxed and inviting, with super friendly staff who pay genuine attention to you. On sunny days you can really enjoy the terrace outside. In short: if you like good matcha, homemade pastries and a warm atmosphere, then Fufu Coffee Studio is a must-visit in Utrecht.

Tried hojicha latte for the first time today and it was really good! I think they were overwhelmed with the amount of people coming in because it was a sunny day today. The orders took quite long but it was worth it. The owners (I think?) are really friendly and passionate about coffee and tea. Even though it seems like it was a stressful day for them, they were in good spirits and made sure that we had a nice day and were enthusiastic to explain what this tea was. I'd definitely come back again because the quality is good. The location is very nice too.

Great coffee made from their own freshly roasted beans. They also offer a unique option using beans from Yunnan, China. The matcha lava cake is so good! Not many seats inside, but sitting ouside on a sunny day is perfect. Staff are very welcoming and warm.

FINALLY a coffee shop in Utrecht that delivers specialty coffee! Today I had a filter, dirty coffee and matcha basque cheesecake. All great! The staff is hospitable and wants to make sure everything is to your liking. We will definitely come back!

The place is very cozy and the staff is kind and attentive. However, the matcha latte wasn't worth the price. I paid 6.30€ for an iced matcha latte with oat milk and the matcha powder wasn't stirred well enough which resulted in a bunch of chunks as you can see in the picture below. I definitely want to give the place another try but maybe for coffee.

I loved this place! Super peaceful atmosphere, and the staff is incredibly kind and dedicated. A standout is the specialty coffee, and most of the pastries are vegan. I’ll definitely be back soon! Highly recommend!

Dangerously nice place... This is really a favorite spot to go paddle boarding to and get off the water for a while to get something tasty. The vegan cheesecake is really delicious! And on very hot days, the homemade ice creams are highly recommended. I haven't tasted all the goodies yet, so see you soon!

What a fantastic new bakery in the heart of Utrecht! When I walk by during my lunch break, it's not just for a coffee and a delicious brownie or a crispy cinnamon roll, but also for a freshly baked loaf of bread for the rest of the week. Because of the friendly and pleasant staff, I always walk out with a smile :) An absolute must for anyone who loves quality and is looking for a moment of 'home and peace' in the busy city of Utrecht!
