Lovely restaurant with great food

After a bread platter with toppings and the main course of mashed potatoes, local vegetables and a somewhat tough piece of pork belly, we still left with an unsatisfied feeling. The dishes are beautifully served, but the taste was lacking in almost all individual elements. The food was nutritious, but for this price you want more.

Chose this restaurant because of the good reviews. The service was very friendly and it was nice that there were gluten-free options. The food also looked nice, but the taste was quite disappointing. The mushroom nut tart had some flavor, but the mashed potatoes with vegetables were bland, even with extra salt. In my opinion, a lot of money for what you get.

Very cosy place. Not standard, but fun! You eat what they make, and every two weeks the menu changes.

An elegant but at the same time non-demanding place. Located in a central area of ​​the city easy to reach on foot. Top choice beer, strong, tasty served with aperitifs of all types. The stuffed cheese balls are excellent. The furnishings include wooden tables and benches or comfortable chairs. Furnished in a minimal but warm way. Fast and professional service. The beer is worth an aperitif, also pay attention to the prices which on certain things are not only cheap but worth it. Pleasant stop.

As a vegetarian, I really enjoyed my visit to FoodVia! It’s a great spot if you appreciate fresh, seasonal food and don’t mind the surprise of a changing menu. They don’t follow a fixed menu concept, which actually makes the experience more exciting—whatever is available fresh, is what gets served. The quality of ingredients really shines through. A must-visit if you enjoy creative and wholesome meals!

Had a delicious vegan meal, vegetarian last time, it was also tasty. You choose from meat, vegetarian or vegan, but it is all equally delicious!

Friendly service. Opted for the surprise menu, but you have to be lucky enough to get something that will make your stomach jump. Unfortunately we were unlucky this time and there wasn't anything we really liked. You can eat vegan here.

Delicious food. 3 course menu with meat. Friendly and fast service, who provided explanations for each course. Heated plates and good cutlery. Nice, casual atmosphere. The furnishings are simple, such as chairs and wardrobe. In summary: excellent food in a good atmosphere and affordable.

Highly recommended! Eating out with a truly miserable feeling of being at home. You join us and you may be faced with choice stress: not necessary. The knowledgeable and warm staff made me happy with delicious wine and sublime food: local food! I supported local farmers a bit and Foodvia made my evening fantastic! Thank you! Tip: a better sign and the interior could be warmer (like the staff).

What a nice and cozy place! We had a delicious lunch here on a Saturday: an egg roll and celeriac soup with apple and bread with fresh pesto. Delicious! With a latte macchiato and ginger tea. Very friendly service.

We had an exellent vegan 4 course meal with locally sourced and seasonal produce. Interesting and innovative dishes rather than the same old default vegan restaurant dishes (you know the ones I mean!).

We had dinner here on Sunday evening. We had fairly high expectations given the price and the reviews. What a disappointment The food was "messy", many mismatched flavors on the plate. The atmosphere was listless. The whole thing was not good, especially for 38 euros for 3 courses with no choice. Shame....

i really loved the concept and the restaurant itself, the only things is that, each day day only have a set of options so let's say if you don't like what they have thay day you can't eat. but it does push you to try new things

It took way too long for the food to be served and it was very little. I had to eat additional food at home. I didn't think the taste was special either. Not worth repeating for me.

Nothing fancy but very cosy. As one of us has a to follow a strict diet, we thought that it would be quite a challenge for the chef, but the chef was so considerate to take into account everything that was requested. We enjoyed eating there very much.

Best food since times. Fresh, healthy and friendly service!

We thought it would be fun to try this place, but what a disappointment. We ordered a lunch platter with meat and received a slice of smoked meat and chicken fillet. Furthermore, the main ingredients were two quarters of bread, half a red onion, small soup, piece of sweet potato and lettuce. And that for €16! We left hungry and will never go here again.

After a long bike ride I wanted something different, after wandering around a bit I came across FOODVIA. Looked nice so I thought I'd go in here. Vegan food is served, I've never had that before so let me try it sometime. I have absolutely no regrets about that. Had a snack board with everything on it. Rarely have such a tasty snack board. Then a main course which was also delicious. The service was also really friendly. Definitely come back here again.

Cozy terrace, with lots of cushions on the chairs and benches. Friendly service with attention to special wishes. And the vegan dishes were delicious, all with a personal twist. The carrot cake we ordered for dessert was the tastiest we have ever eaten, with an extra fresh orange-ginger marmalade. We will be back and soon!

Love this restaurant. They really cook for you. Simply put, there is 1 menu for the week, which you can order in meat, vegetarian or vegan variants. We also like coming there because they can deal with different diets (ours is gluten-free and low-carb). Furthermore, they get their materials from the environment, preferably organic. Very nice restaurant, with an informal atmosphere, where you can eat very tasty food with surprising flavors.

Had a delicious lunch with a big surprise lunch. Can be ordered as standard, vegetarian or vegan according to your choice. Very tasty with beetroot soup, bread with mustard cheese, brie and humus. Furthermore, a delicious shutney. Highly recommended

If you understand the concept, you can only give 5 stars here. Service is pleasant. A downside, but I don't know if anything can be done about it: the acoustics are not very pleasant.

Today (7-3-'24) enjoyed lunch with a group at Food Via. The food was well prepared, originally composed and very tasty. The service was very friendly and customer-friendly, willing to respond to the wishes of young children without any problem.

I was hesitant to leave this review because to be fair, there's nothing wrong with the restaurant. People is very friendly, the place have a nice atmosphere. The reason for a 3 stars is because maybe the concept is not for me, or for the "not Dutch" customers. I had lunch, it was a surprise lunch, it had a soep, some slices of ham, a green salad and some veggies. Not bad but nothing great, well the bread was lekker.

Very cozy place with super friendly and helpful service. When we indicated that we did not eat gluten, we also received a gluten-free cookie with tea, which was simply thought through! Many restaurants still simply provide a stroopwafel or something similar. So respect for the attention. The same amount of attention is also paid to the food, to nature and to the people. Very nice concept and everything has been carefully thought through. Actually, every restaurant should be like this. We went here twice during our weekend away.

Interessantes Konzept. Ist halt eine kulinarische Wundertüte. Das Essen ist sehr hübsch angerichtet und sehr abwechslungsreich und gesund 😁 Muss man halt mögen sich überraschen zu lassen. Nichts für sehr wählerische Menschen.

Het concept is heel leuk, je kan een 3 of 4 verrassings gangendiner krijgen. Je eet dus wat de kok maakt voor iedereen. Dit gebeurt zodat er weinig verspilling is en het leuke is dat ze ook nog eens met heerlijke seizoensgroenten koken. Bediening is aardig en vertelt goed wat er op je bord ligt. De ruimte zelf is leuk aangekleed en geeft een goede sfeer.

Echt heel lekker gegeten en ontzettend vriendelijke mensen en fijne sfeer. Top!

3 kwartier gewacht op koffie en thee, havermelk bleek gewone melk. Vervolgens weer 3 kwartier op de lunch, glutenvrij bleek glutenhoudend.

Einfach mal überraschen lassen. Wir sind vorbei gelaufen und auf das Restaurant aufmerksam geworden. Das war keine falsche Entscheidung. Das 3-Gänge-Menue war ausgesprochen schmackhaft, die Präsentation der einzelnen Gänge durch das Personal vorbildlich und der Service souverän. Alles in allem ein gelungener Abend

15 out of 10. The stuff is very attentive to any allergies and intolerances (gluten- and lactose free in my case), extremely friendly (the friendliest in the NL), and the amount of veggies per portion is just like you did it for yourself. I wish all the best to the owners, I love the concept and could definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Vega en vegan opties hier maar niet te over! Als je geen keuzestress wil dan zit je hier goed, ook verassingsopties zijn er dan kiezen zij het uit als je bv een "vegan brood kiest". Lieve mensen overigens die bij zichzelf blijven en geen toneelstukje voor je doen. De soep was lekker in verhouding met nauwelijks of geen peper/zout gelukkig! Als je dat toch wilt dan heb je zout/peper op tafel staan.

Locavore restaurant off the main market square, just a few hundred meters from the Airborne Museum. Our group of seven enjoyed the large and small surprise lunches, and two had the carrot cake. The surprise lunches featured carrot soup, fresh vegetables, a couple slices of salami, a bit of goat cheese and a salad. The mint tea was a hit as were the local non alcoholic beers. All good is sourced locally and changes according to the season. A real treat and great nutrition for us on our cycling trip around the Netherlands.

Wij hebben hier heel lekker geluncht afgelopen weekend. De visie van FoodVia is erg inspirerend. Zij gebruiken namelijk alleen lokale en verantwoorde ingrediënten, voor een betaalbare prijs... en er is geen vaste menukaart. Het moet dus wel een beetje je ding zijn, maar mijn ding is het zeker wel! Wij namen de veganistische variant van de Sandwich Tom van Otterloo. Het meergranen desem brood was heerlijk en was belegd met groenten en zelfgemaakte spread. Tevens namen we de seizoenssoep. Dit was een goed gevulde, wat dikkere venkelsoep met een snee desem brood en een soort pesto smeersel on the side. Heel lekker!

Heel lekker gegeten! Verder ook een leuke plek en fijne sfeer. Lief en leuk personeel, die rekening houden met alle eetwensen (ik ben bijvoorbeeld glutenvrij & vegan en dat was geen probleem!).

Leukste horeca gelegenheid van Arnhem. Eerlijk en heerlijk eten, mooi concept, super leuk en lief personeel. En de koffie….the best! Een verborgen pareltje in Arnhem.
