Tapas concept, but with high-quality dishes. The food was incredibly delicious and the staff were very friendly.

We had a truly fantastic evening! We enjoyed a delicious meal with fresh ingredients and surprising combinations. The service was also top-notch! Thank you for this fun and wonderful evening; we'd love to come back again when we're in the area 🤩

A cozy restaurant on the outer canal of Arnhem's city center. Small dishes allow you to savor the kitchen's passionate preparation. Attentive and pleasant service (the chef even comes to your table occasionally). The excellent starter made me forget to take a photo of the presentation of the following dishes. The tartelette can also be enjoyed as dessert; it's very tasty.

The food was delicious. The service was friendly. Plenty of choices. We'll definitely be back.

Good food, good and friendly service. Price/quality ratio on the low side due to the somewhat high price. Fairly bland interior, no theme. Price/quality and atmosphere are points for improvement.

Great experience! Staff very competent. The young man noticed that the plates were empty, did not walk empty-handed and glasses were refilled well. There was also room for a friendly smile and an ear for a comment or a tip. The dishes were all delicious gems. The concept all you of what is brought to a much higher level here…. Good food, but far too little, with (deliberately) large breaks of approx. 30 - 40 min. Quantities of a small pastry plate. In terms of people, sweet, nice service, nice sidewalk terrace, the waiter asked people to move so that the four of us could still sit outside. Still a low service rating because the frequency of passing by is too low with this dining concept. In 2.5 hours we had five mini snacks. You are allowed to order 1 course at a time. That comes after 20/25 minutes. You eat that and then you can only order the next one. And that does not happen quickly after you have requested it. This is the deliberately chosen long dining concept. (We thought the kitchen could not handle it). So despite the sweet service and the excellent/good food, I will not go back. This pace is really not possible with this concept. I do not understand the high rating for this either. Unless you treat 't Volk as a wine bar and eat at home beforehand.

Delicious food. Good tasty dishes. Pace fine, not too fast not too slow. Fine service. Pleasant staff, no rush. Take time for you. Only downside. Busy, so a lot of noise. Tables 15 cm apart. That is really too close to your neighbors.

Delicious food. Atmospheric interior and friendly staff. Addition to the city center! The nice thing about the menu is that the chef has taken inspiration from all over the world. Asian but also Italian and Dutch dishes. Something for everyone.

It had been a while, so we were happy to be able to enjoy ourselves again. The menu has been significantly updated again, allowing us to try all kinds of new surprising dishes. My personal favorite was the cauliflower, not normally tasty! Every time we are amazed by the unique combinations of flavors, for us 't Volk is without a doubt the very best restaurant in Arnhem!

Eating with a chef who can cook so well is a treat. The different courses were well put together and everyone could eat what suits him or her. The Canadian lady who served us did her job excellently with a great sense of when something more can be said and when not. Excellent price-quality ratio, had a great evening and I am a fan of this chef.

Wij hadden een viergangen verrassings theatermenu, heel attent afgestemd op het tijdstip waarop wij moesten vertrekken naar de voorstelling. Het pluspunt van dit symphathieke eethuis is de jeugdige vlotte en vriendelijke bediening. Het eten is soms wat aan de zoute kant maar smakelijk met uitgesproken smaken. Als je minder van een bepaald kruit of smaakmaker houdt kan dat overheersend overkomen Naar verhouding is het redelijk geprijsd. Ik heb het er prima naar de zin gehad.

New assessment in 2025: I have now eaten at this restaurant several times and would like to make a number of adjustments compared to my previous review. My last experience left something to be desired: the food was generally tasty, but a number of things were a bit disappointing this time in terms of taste and execution. I found it incredibly cold in the restaurant, so much so that I finally put on my jacket, the music was a bit too loud and we had to wait far too long between our dishes, I really don't like this food, they are small portions of which you can order 1 dish at a time, if you then have to wait 20-30 minutes for the next dish then this is really too long. We sat at the table from 5:30 PM until closing time so we had to leave the restaurant satiated, this could really be better. 2023 Very tasty food! All dishes were of excellent quality and the taste experience was composed with care. Accessible dishes with sometimes a special twist that turned out positively every time! Sufficient choice on the menu, so something for everyone, beautiful atmospheric store, friendly and professional service who clearly enjoyed their work.

T Volk has a nice concept where you can order unlimited dishes. We had a good meal, but many of the dishes were not that special. Most things had very little taste. As a result, I left a bit disappointed. Service and atmosphere in the restaurant were okay!

Cozy place, creative menu formula (all you can eat), all kinds of snacks actually, all made with a great sense of taste and ingredients. Nice wine list with affordable good wines. Very friendly and efficient service, very attentive staff. Only being a little more clear in advance about the extras in the formula would have been slightly more correct. A highly recommended restaurant.

The dishes were served nicely and beautifully, making them ideal for small gifts. The flavors were rich and when you put the individual ingredients together you got very nice flavor explosions. You could simply taste the passion of the chef(s). This was served by an enthusiastic host, which made it a very nice evening for us.

My birthday ended last Sunday with a dinner at 't Volk. We had a nice table on the side. There was enough time/space to order all kinds of dishes. The staff/service was excellent/friendly. The dishes were delicious. With dessert a nice fireworks display for my birthday. The price/quality is excellent. We enjoyed a very nice/fun evening. Thank you!

I had made a reservation for a special evening with a group of 15 people, including 4 children (3 - 13 years). Because it was a large group, they could not offer the usual concept. Instead, we put together a 5-course menu of items from the menu. It was a good contact and a nice collaboration. The evening itself was a great success with delicious food and great service. The courses followed each other well and smoothly and the children were always asked what they wanted to order. Had a really nice evening.

Nice concept and original dishes. Spent quite some time between rounds of dishes. Unfortunately something went wrong with the receipt, so after 45 minutes we discovered that the main course had not arrived properly and the kitchen was already closing. In the meantime, I reported this to service several times, but they were busier with each other than service. Not even offered a drink or something in compensation. Restaurant has potential, but they need to work on service and pace.

This is an all-you-can-eat concept, but with an excellent quality standard. You can stay until 10 am and order dishes, which is of course nice for the big eater, but also for the gourmet because the dishes are simple but tasty. I personally enjoyed the oysters, the steak tartare, the cod in butter sauce, the chicory with Rogeufort and the white chocolate mousse. My table companions opted for the tomato salad, procoreur, Tom Kha Kaii and oyster mushroom croquettes and they were also very tasty, with the exception of the tomato salad (a bit simple). Our 17-year-old waitress enthusiastically praised each dish as a personal favorite, which was really uplifting. Big compliment for so much professionalism at that age. The only downside was a cold draft that came through the floor and air duct, but anyway it was a cold evening outside. All in all we had a wonderful evening and I will definitely come back again.

We had a delicious meal. The service was very friendly, the dishes extremely tasty and the wines well matched. Level remains high and stable. We had last been a few years ago and now again, it remains a very nice restaurant with delicious dishes and nice, smooth service.

A diverse menu with beautiful dishes. You can try everything and most of it is really tasty. It is a kind of combination of classic cuisines (French and Italian) with some influences from Asian cuisine. Recommended: KFC, the Asian salad with smoked chicken fillet, the stew and the pasta with beef stew. Quite tasty wines available by the glass and also a large list by the bottle. Not much special in terms of special beer (the usual suspects and unfortunately nothing local). We were there on a Monday and had a nice spot near the open kitchen. Unfortunately, we saw little happening... The mise en place is in good order: I have never seen a chef looking so much at a laptop than before during a dinner. Many of the dishes we ordered were prepared by the boy serving. Kudos to this young man (from last Monday).

Food and service are really good, staff work hard, waiting times are manageable despite the fact that they have few people. Count on a filling evening program with tasty dishes that are freshly made. We will definitely come back a 3rd time!! If you want to complain, I think the atmosphere on the top floor is cozier because downstairs could benefit from a little more attention to decoration.

Delicious dinner with nine people. Of all the dishes we ate, only one was a bit less, the rest were all delicious. The menu is extensive with many vegetarian dishes. The hostess was very friendly and charming and knew how to deliver bad news (the wine had run out) in a good way. We will definitely come back here.

Relaxed atmosphere with both professional and relaxed service. Impressive dishes. I mention the gazpacho (it's called soup, but it's much more than that) with lobsters, the crispy seaweed and the pasta with stew and spinach. Finally a restaurant without fear of garlic. We had a delicious meal. Had to wait a bit long between dishes, but a nice concept and delicious flavors! The heating could be a little higher, I had goosebumps all evening, which gives the atmosphere a slightly lower rating.

We were a group of 9 people. We made our menu choices in advance. We were also all served our rounds at the same time! Compliments, that's not easy! Everyone was very satisfied and pleasantly surprised with the dishes. It was all prepared separately and very tasty. The dishes are slightly smaller than in a regular restaurant. But big enough to enjoy all the goodies during all those rounds. Very nice and nice people who served us. We were able to sit comfortably with plenty of space between the courses. I've eaten here three times now. The first time was downright bad. Both the second and third times were fine. The service was pleasant. All dishes without exception were good to excellent. Good price-quality ratio and a nice atmosphere.

Meticulously prepared dishes with tasty ingredients. As guests, we received just as much attention as the dishes. on the terrace there is plenty of entertainment from passers-by, but the road does not disturb. We will definitely come back.

Nice restaurant concept. Of course the dishes are small, but because the time between courses is quite short, you get more than enough to eat. It is a real tasting with something for everyone. For me the highlights were the steak tartare, the red mullet and the vanilla dessert. The leek soup was slightly inferior because of the topping of inedible green strings and the tough crayfish. A shame, because the taste of the soup was delicious. Tip: for finger food, put a bowl with water and lemon on the table for those greasy fingers. The service was, as mentioned in other reviews, great. What warm, attentive service. We will definitely come back for the atmosphere alone!

My parents took us here during a weekend in Arnhem, I had 0 expectations in advance. But what a great experience it would have been! The steak tartare was my favorite. It was a long sit (almost 4 hours) but this was not due to operational problems or the like. Points for improvement: - After the umpteenth course/eating of the same dish, the explanation becomes very uncomfortable ("Good, what haven't you had an explanation of yet?"). Make it a bit more accessible by asking if any further explanation is required instead of forcefully carrying out the floor manager's instructions. - It can happen that some of the crockery or cutlery falls in the kitchen (on the floor). But throughout the evening something was constantly typing with a lot of clatter on the floor. Damping mats would already be an improvement. Again, the food was delicious!

Whole experience was outstanding. We (4) arrived late Sunday evening and found everywhere else closing. Staff went beyond and provided us with a stunning meal. Thank you.

"t Volk is a special restaurant with delicious culinary small dishes that you can have unlimited, 1* per round. We have been coming there for years and keep coming back, always surprising and affordable.

Things are not quite right in this restaurant. Still too expensive for what you get. Very small snacks and it doesn't go very quickly between the dishes. The empty glasses are not properly looked at and the concept is unfortunately not entirely correct. Very small menu and some dishes are not suitable, such as two chicken bones as a dish? It's a real shame though. It was also not full on Saturday evening, which is surprising with such a concept. Missed opportunities. The kitchen really needs to get some work done! Too calculating and you don't feel spoiled by the kitchen.

The food was tasty and refined. choice of fun and surprising dishes. The design of the restaurant is a hodgepodge of styles. My partner overlooked a refrigerator, kitchen and lots of lighting. The ceiling has all kinds of pipes, it all looks a bit strange and disjointed. And the tip is to provide wine advice or wine pairing with each dish.

Lovely restaurant with a nice finish and an interesting "premium cousine meets all you can eat" concept. However, the experience left me confused. The quality of the ingredients and flavors was very good, yet the portions were small and you had to wait at least 30min for the next dish to arrive. After 1h waiting for a first dish, I wished I had a normal sized portions ordered at once with no artificial waiting in between. The worst was that the dishes were coming luke warm, which didn't go well with the oily sauces sprinkled over everything, as the fat started to solidify. Overall, it could have been a good experience with few easy fixes, but as it was, the food was not enjoyable.

Consciously chose a table near the kitchen. Nice interaction with the chefs, and delicious food! Recommended!

Delicious food, cozy atmosphere, nice people in the service. The only thing I found strange is that you had to pay 1.5 euros extra for some dishes. I didn't see it on the map and couldn't find it online either. I personally had made it 1.5 euros more expensive to maintain the concept of all you can eat for 1 price. I would definitely go there again, but I thought this was striking.

We had a delicious meal here yesterday. The nice thing about this concept is that it is an ''all you can eat'' but at a high level in terms of dishes. Choose what you fancy and there is more than enough choice in vegetarian, meat or fish.

Definitely not the standard 'all you can eat', where it's all about mass, but fine flavors that are perfectly balanced, nice service and good wines! Recommended! :)

The previous reviews reflect it well. Nice meal. Nice little snacks. Not everything is a surprise, but most of it is. Nice smooth operation without any fuss. Price is also ok. I thought the €1.50 supplement for sweet potato fries was a bit lame, but I will definitely come back.

Easter Monday 2024. If you want to eat something different, 't Volk is the place to be. Sufficient choice of cold and warm dishes and dessert. A perfectly appropriate pace is tailored to the small dishes that were presented to us. The quality of the food is above average. Fresh, original and composed with attention. The service (1 young lady) paid full attention to the customers present (it was not busy, but still) and served us with great enthusiasm, knowledge and pleasure. Compliments.

The food is tasty, but it takes way too long and the restaurant was not full. Snacks very small and then always waiting at least half an hour for the next course. Price is completely out of proportion to what you get!!!! If you want to go home satisfied, you must stay at least from 5:30 PM to 10:00 PM.
