RIVUS in Centrum

A small restaurant with a limited menu. Good flavor combinations. The beef ribs were delicious and paired well with the crispy polenta fries. The risotto balls are also delicious, and they have a lovely mozzarella pull. The tiramisu was also delicious. The ambiance could be a bit warmer, with some Italian music playing in the background.

In the alley of fun and enjoyment. Where the most beautiful Student Soos in the Netherlands is located, we find this beautiful Italian Pearl in the Varkensstraat a few houses away. In Ernhem we have nothing to complain about beautiful Italian eateries and this one should also be on the list. The mix of starters is highly recommended. Nice balance between cold and warm dishes. Main course pasta with boar was also very tasty. Hopefully see you soon.

Restaurant was next to our hotel. It got pretty good reviews on Google, so I reserved it. Definitely worth it! Bubble & Amuse on the house and super friendly service. The tuna steak and prawns were delicious and the sea view is fantastic. Underrated restaurant if you ask me. Must visit! The only point of improvement is the atmosphere on the terrace. Some decoration would make it 10/10!

Inspired by several friends, we ate here yesterday with a group of six. You are required to take a three-course menu for groups larger than 4, a strange trend in itself but OK. A good deal for 40 euros. Even though the serving girl did her best, the service was downright bad; You had to ask attention for everything, drinks arrived very late and sometimes not through and you had to open and pour an expensive bottle of wine at the table. This came our way (brought by the chef in chef's clothing) half open, was poured into a carafe and that's it. Furthermore, it really took far too long to serve the food; reservation was for 7:30 PM and we didn't get our main course until about 9:30 PM. The main course for three people (the ravioli) was almost cold and the spaghetti was anything but al dente. Given the stress of the serving lady, I left a decent tip and to be honest, I thought about it at her request, without being unkind. Unfortunately we won't be coming back here again.

A bit too high prices for this quality. The food had flavor, but was quite pricey for the quantity and ingredients used. We were especially disappointed that the prices on the menu turned out to be exclusive of VAT (this is not legally allowed), so at the end we added even more to this overpriced meal.

Truly a hidden gem. Real dishes made with love that are just right. Can recommend to everyone just great.

Had a lovely meal on the terrace at RIVUS. The starters are superb, main courses put together with great attention! Matching wines available and the staff is attentive.

We had the risotto balls, the truffle pasta and tiramisu. The food was excellent, as was the service! The decor is a bit simple, could be a bit hipper. I will definitely come back here.

Wauw, wat hebben wij genoten, echt n aanrader dit restaunt. Alle gerechten waren top. Bediening super vriendelijk. Wij gaan zeker terugkomen.

We had a delicious meal with a group, but we were unable to exchange a word with our group due to the bizarre amount of echoing noise. Everything is made of stone inside with an open kitchen and bar, which makes your ears ringing after an hour and you just want to leave. Such a shame because this is so easy to solve! Hang window coverings, foam under the tables and a cushion on the long sofa.

Het eten is echt heerlijk, maar de akoustiek is echt vreselijk. Zelfs als het niet vol is, is het een kakafonie van geluid en kun je je tafelgenoten bijna niet verstaan.

Heerlijk gegeten. Gezellig restaurant, aardige bediening. Maar...de akoestiek en daardoor de herrie (iedereen gaat ook steeds harder praten hierdoor) is vreselijk. Ik kreeg soms pijn aan mijn oren door de schelle klanken en ook nog eens geluiden uit de open keuken. Er zijn alleen maar harde materialen toegepast en een stenen vloer. Niet aanlokkelijk om nog een keer een paar uur lang in te zitten. Tip voor de eigenaren: er is eenvoudig wat aan te doen. Dan kom ik graag weer eten.

Heerlijk gegeten, geweldig ook dat ze zo rekening hielden met mijn Lactose intolerantie , super aardige mensen. Het is niet heel groot daar maar echt een aanrader 👍🏼

Erg knus Italiaans restaurant. Heerlijke antipasti en andere gerechten. Niet standaard. Leuk personeel. Je krijgt een erg welkom gevoel.

Geweldige gerechten met een uitstekende wijn-pairing. Goede en kundige bediening die weet wat de gerchten inhouden. Ongedwongen sfeer.

Rivus is ook een van de pareltjes van ons. De allereerste keer dat wij Rivus bezochten kan ik mij als de dag van gisteren herinneren. Het enthousiasme, de goede bediening en - last but not least - het heerlijke eten. Wij komen graag terug. Kan ik iets aanraden? Ga vooral zelf proeven! Je zult geen spijt krijgen.

Heerlijke primitivo wijn! Voor de rest, vooral het eten zelf, echt ondermaats. Leuke italiaanse gerechten op het menu, maar weinig inhoud. Saai en weinig smaak. Niet opgewassen tegen restaurants als Rusticana of Zafvino in Arnhem, maar wel de prijs...

Gezellig, knus restaurant met vriendelijk personeel. Zit een langere tijd tussen voor en hoofdgerecht, dus relaxt tafelen. Heerlijk gegeten, geen standaard menu, echt Italiaans.

Supper gegeten aan een correcte prijs. Sfeer en service dik in orde!

Alles is lekker hier! 3 gangen menu genomen. We hadden antipasti, zeebaars en canelloni met ricotta en spinazie en als toetje tiramisu en affogatto. De drankkaart is uitgebreid met Italiaanse frisdranken, likeuren en cocktails naast de warme dranken en verschillende vino natuurlijk. We hadden de rode huiswijn, tikkeltje zoet met kersen accent wat lekker wegdrinkt. Daarna kwam crodino, mooi geserveerd in een hoge wine glas met ijsjes en een schijfje sinaasappel. De bediening is vlot en zo vriendelijk. Het team draait lekker, je kunt zien hoe ze in de open keuken werken. De prijs is passend, je krijgt echt waar voor je geld. Reserveren is aanbevolen. Grazie voor het lekkere eten en leuke sfeer. Aan Rivus team: ik kom graag terug. Ga zo door!

Rivus is een klein Italiaans restaurant met zeer verfijnde gerechten. Anti pasti waren geweldig, primi en secondi zeer smaakvol en prachtig opgediend, dolce zoals ze horen te zijn. De wijnkaart is klein maar mooi en de bediening vlot en zeer vriendelijk. Al met al een van de betere Italiaanse restaurants in de stad.

Uitstekend eten, vlotte bediening die rekening houdt dat je naar een voorstelling gaat

Vanwege de goede recensies hier gegeten echter vonden we het eten echt ondermaats. De pizza zat onder de olie en het deeg was te flauw ook waren de risottoballen erg deegerig. Desalniettemin is het restaurant zelf erg leuk aangekleed en de sfeer ook top. Leuk praatje gehad met de eigenaar ook die erg enthousiast vertelde over het restaurant.

The best restaurant we've tried in Arnhem. Menu is italian and always changing, so there's always something new and delicious to try. Staff is friendly and clearly having a great time, which makes the atmosphere welcoming and pleasant

Heerlijk eten, enthousiast team, jammer dat er , aan het eind van de avond, ergens een vieze putlucht vandaan kwam.

Berengezellig, heerlijke drankjes en goed eten

Fantastic restaurant! They have delicious and inventive Italian dishes. We had the saffron pasta and the special garganelli with lamb pasta. Absolutely fantastic. Their starters were also amazing, we got to taste all of them since we did the tasting menu. Lastly, dessert was delicious and I’m not even a dessert person. Highly recommend! Also very reasonably priced. A 3 course meal was 37.5 per person, and the portions were very good sized.

Alles was super lekker. Verse ingrediënten, aardig en attent mensen en een gezellig sfeer!

Echte Italiaanse keuken. Heerlijke oesters, antipasti misto, pasta, panacotta en natuurlijk koffie met grappa. Bijzonder vriendelijk en attent personeel. Oh ja en lekkere klassieke cocktails.

GENOTEN!! van de heerlijke gerechten, sfeer, fijne bediening en ongedwongenheid. Wij komen zeker terug.

Het eten is goed! Meer dan goed. Helaas was de bediening niet helemaal op elkaar ingesteld. Het is in deze tijd lastig in de horeca om goed personeel te vinden, en dat merk je. Overigens wel leuke en gezellige mensen in de bediening; maar het ontvangst en onze drankjes opnemen duurden te lang. Soms het gevoel krijgen dat je vergeten wordt is niet fijn als gast. Volgende keer beter?

Het eten was lekker, alleen was er te weinig keuzr voor vegetariërs en veganisten. Maar 1 vegetarisch hoofdgerecht met weinig groente en 2 pizza's, waarvan 1 margarita.

Fantastisch! Hier komen we graag nog een keer terug. Gemoedelijke ongedwongen sfeer, heerlijk eten, Italiaans zoals Italiaans moet zijn. Vooral van de antipasti werd ik zo blij.

Disappointing birthday dinner at this restaurant with a pricey surprise. We visited this restaurant about a month ago to celebrate the birthday of a friend and were impressed by the good recommendations. The restaurant is small but cosy with a lovely open kitchen. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, the food was rather expensive and took quite some time to prepare. We ordered two different pizzas, ravioli and the sea bass and were pretty disappointed by the bland flavour. The pizza wasn’t pre-cut and almost impossible cut on the plate due to its rubbery consistency. Both the sea bass and the ravioli came in rather small portions that left us hungry. Despite all this, we decided to share some tiramisu for dessert, of which I was assured (after asking) that is was made traditionally with mascarpone instead of some cheap substitute. As a tiramisu-lover I can differentiate the ingredient quite well, and was extremely disappointed to taste that the tiramisu was somehow mixed with whipped cream or some other substitute instead of pure mascarpone. After all this, we then had another nasty surprise when the bill came. It turns out that the restaurant advertises all its prices without taxes included, meaning that a large sum for taxes was added to the already rather expensive dishes on the bill. I have never seen this before at any Dutch restaurant and thought this was nothing but rude not to mention it beforehand to the customers (for instance with a note in the menu). Over all very disappointed and will certainly not return.
