The food was very tasty and the inner garden where we sat was very nice!

I visited this restaurant with a friend last week, and we had a great experience. The food was delicious, and the ambience was warm and inviting. The service was excellent, with friendly and attentive staff who made us feel welcome. From the outside, the restaurant looks small, but it’s surprisingly spacious inside. There’s also outdoor seating available for those who prefer to dine outside. Overall, it’s a great spot, and I’d definitely recommend it!

It's a very busy place, so you might have to wait a bit, but it's worth it. Original drinks and dishes at competitive prices. If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely be back.

The best place in Enschede! The decor is very colorful, stylish, and cozy. They have a very extensive menu with surprisingly delicious drinks you wouldn't think of yourself. Be warned: it's always incredibly busy! If you can make a reservation, I recommend it, and preferably go on less popular days/times.

Went there for breakfast for the first time this morning. Since you can't make reservations, we expected a wait on a Sunday. We were greeted very warmly by several employees, and a young man asked us to wait five minutes until he could get us a table. We sat down briefly at the entrance and were then shown to our table. A short while later, we were brought a bottle of water and glasses. In the meantime, we familiarized ourselves with the memory card and decided on French toast, an Americano, and a cappuccino. Then we admired the bustling hustle and bustle and the cheerful decor. The French toast arrived in cast iron pans, and our coffee arrived first. The cappuccino was a dream, the milk foam perfect. The Americano was also very good. Both coffees came with a card with information about the coffee type, etc. – great! The service was friendly and attentive, despite the busy café. The French toast was a taste experience that we thoroughly enjoyed! We left this beautiful place completely satisfied and satiated, and we'll definitely be back. We highly recommend Frank & Charlie 😊

We fell in love with this café. A place where everything fits perfectly: a very attentive, friendly, and truly radiant young team; superbly delicious food and drinks; a great location and decor with great taste and attention to detail. We were only in the city for two days and ate there both days.

We received an unwelcoming welcome today, and Frank & Charlie will never be back! Addition to the owner's response: Frank & Charlie's reception wasn't handled properly during busy periods. In our case, the consequences were averted and we felt that was unfair. The owner's persistence in asserting his point (including in his response to this review) demonstrates that hospitality wasn't a priority on this occasion.

Good food, special menu, hidden in a back street so you have to know it's there. Almost always busy, especially on Saturdays! Food tastes good, gets a free bottle of water upon arrival. Very open-minded atmosphere, and children can just be themselves here!

All employees here start speaking English right away if you don't look Dutch, just speak Dutch? You'll notice if someone speaks English. The food is okay, but expensive.

Gorgeous, fun, and delicious! I had the best bao buns of my life here, my taste buds were happy and surprised with every bite ☺️ The atmosphere, liveliness, and colors made the whole experience so beautiful that I wanted to take a piece of it home with me, so I picked up and bought some cute, colorful towels that now brighten up my kitchen. Would definitely recommend 😊

They were super helpful, gave advice on menu selection after I told them my dietary restrictions, and checked back several times to verify and let me know which ingredients on the Mexican Sloppy Joe they were not adding. Also had Chai Latte with Oat milk. presentation and taste were great.

Wat heerlijk gegeten. Het was de keuze uit een wat mager hotelbuffet of een vakantiegevoel qua inrichting, muziek en bediening. De zonnige dag paste bij de sfeervolle inrichting van het ontbijtrestaurant. De borden met eten zagen er uit als om door een ringetje te halen. Gewoon kraanwater bij het eten was al standaard.

Waren seit längerer Zeit mal wieder hier. Es war wieder sehr schön und lecker. Das Personal ist super freundlich und die gesamte Atmosphäre ist sehr nett und entspannt. Wir sind auf jeden Fall das nächste Mal wieder vor Ort und schauen gerne wieder bei Euch vorbei.

After our wedding we went there for lunch/breakfast with twelve people. You can't make a reservation but they made room for us to sit together. Tuesday morning at 9:30 already very busy but very cozy.

Frank & Charlie is a must-visit on any trip to Enschede. Whether for breakfast, lunch, or a coffee, the shop is lovingly decorated and has a great atmosphere. The staff are very attentive and super friendly. ☺️👍🏼

Beautiful, quirky, colorful, and cheerful restaurant! I hadn't heard of this place before, or even read the rave reviews, but I just discovered it while strolling by (thank goodness). Highly recommended! Interesting dishes and drinks on the menu. Very tasty and attractively presented. The staff is very friendly and cheerful, even though the place was packed. We really appreciated that a bottle of water and glasses were immediately provided upon seating (which we were very grateful for, as it was very hot). The ambiance was absolutely charming and gave us a holiday feeling. We will definitely be back!

Simply the best place in the country to have lunch, enjoy cakes and drink delicious coffee and tea creations. I don't want to go anywhere else and I don't mind standing in line, because it's all worth the wait. Everything, but then also everything is so beautifully presented and the staff is the friendliest staff you can ever find. My favorite place where I can be found at least once a week.

This café is worth a visit! All the employees are super friendly and welcoming, and they take their time with everyone. The many female staff members ensure that everything runs smoothly. Someone greets us at the front, and the wait is made more pleasant by the postcard stand and other items for purchase. A waitress immediately brings us a bottle of water before we've even ordered. In the background, you can see cake being prepared. Everything in it is eye-catching! Everyone is wearing colorful, coordinated T-shirts and sweaters that I would gladly wear myself. Even though it was crowded, the atmosphere was really great. The decor is inspiringly colorful and modern. The food is delicious and extensive. I was also very pleased with the vegan selection. I'll definitely go back! 🌼✨

An awesome breakfast place with delicious meals , friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere. The only thing I would add is a breakfast menu option because food+coffee+juice cost 26€ by person which is a bit much for breakfast.

Food quality perfect! Atmosphere great! Service also top! You only have to wait a bit longer for a place because of crowds and dishes also take a long time before you get them, but the wait is definitely worth it.

A very hip and cozy place that gives the alley where it is located a lot of color! Around 10 o'clock in the morning we could already have breakfast on the terrace in the sun. I think you can enjoy the sun there almost the entire afternoon. We immediately got the menu and a bottle of water, very nice and hospitable. The breakfasts were very tasty and colorful, a real party on your plate!

This is the best place you will ever go for breakfast/lunch. Everything on the menu is delicious and nowhere in the catering industry will you find staff as friendly as at F&C. Awesome!!

It is a very cozy place to sit, inside and outside a very nice appearance, gives a bit of a "living room feeling". Food was tasty, but I thought it was a bit too salty. Friendly staff, we were helped quickly.

Incredibly beautiful cafe! Just gives you positive vibes! The food is fantastic, for us the bao buns and the sticky date cake were the highlights! Lovingly prepared and tasty! That justifies the price, even if it is of course still very high. We'll come back to Enschede just for the dishes mentioned!

Honestly i thought it was just a new hype in Enschede, but it’s genuinely very good and is becoming one of my favorite places in Enschede! Food and drinks are super good, and they offer quite a good and different choice than the standard cafes in the city center. I recommend!

Halloumi pita with honey was great. Staff was super friendly and attentive. The interior was beautiful and attractive. Absolutely recommended. If there is a line, take the time and wait until a spot becomes available. You won't regret it.

Delicious sandwiches, sparkling service.

It’s the third time we have been here and it’s always been great! We have already tried many of the salty dishes and some of the desserts and we think the sweets are better. The bao buns were good but I personally preferred the Turkish eggs, because they were truly tasty!! But the highlight was the cake in the end. So tasty!!!! I totally recommend it!

Frank and Charlie is always good! Tasty food and super nice staff. I had a small bouquet of flowers with me, and from their own initiative, they gave me a small vase for the flowers to keep them hydrated during my stay.

Very nice restaurant with a nice atmosphere. Food and drinks are prepared with a lot of creativity and attention. Upon arrival you will receive a carafe/bottle of water on the house. Menu is diverse with something for everyone. Please note that there may be a queue at busy times. We were there on Saturday morning and were able to choose a spot. Nice seating areas, both inside and outside. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Very nice coffee shop! Service was perfectly coordinated, the food was tasty and beautifully presented and with the coffee we received a card with the flavor palette of the coffee beans. For real coffee lovers, the coffee is really good and layered in taste. For beginner coffee drinkers, it is nice to receive such a card so that you can learn about the flavors of coffee! Definitely recommended, I will go back next time I am in Enschede. It is clear that this business was founded and decorated with passion and the staff seemed to be enjoying themselves, which is also important for a full catering experience :)

It's worth traveling to Enschede just for this café. The staff are very friendly, there is something for everyone with the large selection and the food and drinks are absolutely delicious.

According to its concept, it is a place where only women work, and most of the customers are also women. The food and desserts are generally middle-upper grade, but the prices are a bit expensive. This place seems to be a little out of the way compared to other parts of the city, I might never have known about it if I hadn't gone there with my friend.

I'm out cycling again. I wanted to refuel first and discovered this beautiful place. After a delicious coffee, banana bread, and avocado toast, I was able to continue cycling. The banana bread was heavenly, and the avocado toast was super tasty and beautifully presented. The service was very friendly. I think it's great that you get a bottle of still water and a glass included in the price. Today is Saturday and market day. Of course, it was very busy, but I expected that. Nevertheless, there was a spot available for me. I'll definitely be back during the week when it's a bit quieter. Thank you for the great start to the day.

Always full, queue to enter but it's worth it!

The place stands out even from the outside with the color it adds to the street. The inside is also a lively, very nicely decorated environment. The same situation is reflected in the attitude of the employees. They are all energetic and smiling. There are no words to say about the taste of the food. With very fine touches, very beautiful products have emerged, both visually and in taste. If I had a chance, I would go again and again.

I recently tasted the sticky date at Frank and Charlie's, and it was really delicious! The homemade sauce made it complete. The acai bowl was also great and refreshing. The kimchi chicken was also tasty, and it's nice that the chicken is halal. The atmosphere is cozy and it is often busy, so you sometimes have to wait, but the wait is definitely worth it. Highly recommended!
