Stopped in briefly during the break. Great service and great food.

It was really delicious and you could sit outside on the terrace with table service.

I highly recommend this restaurant. It's quick, tasty, and efficient. The service is very friendly and kind. The place is clean. I'll be back!

A good cafeteria in itself. However, the satay sauce is terrible. Service and knowledge depend heavily on who is working. When the ladies are working, the situation regarding the above is clearly better.

Yesterday, I got fries and snacks here for the first time in a while. What a DISAPPOINTMENT!!!! Lukewarm, soggy fries Artisan minced meat reheated in the microwave. The fries with onion sauce were just fries with a special sauce. You pay the price of a frikadel with mayonnaise and curry for a frikadel with mayonnaise and curry. The way it was packaged didn't win any beauty awards either. I would be mortified if I handed something like that over in that condition. So, all in all, NEVER again.

Times change; the service and hospitality that was like when FRANS was in charge is unfortunately a thing of the past, but they do their best to keep the customers happy. Keep up the good work.

I usually always eat the half chicken at Peter Loefe's, and I enjoy it immensely. I thought: let me try the half chicken at Frans van Schoot's for a change. Unfortunately, that was a major disappointment. The chicken was overcooked and very dry. The potatoes looked as if they had been packed together with all the leftovers from the frying oil. For me, this was certainly not a tasty meal. Additionally, I found it very unhygienic that a burly young man was slicing frikandellen (Dutch sausages) on the counter without gloves. Afterwards, he ran the same hands through his hair and then continued working on the food. That did not give me a fresh or hygienic feeling. It's a shame, because I had expected more. Based on this experience, I won't be back anytime soon.

Great place to eat and it's not expensive. Anja is really amazing!

The fries are always fried too long here, and that is also very bad of you.

Nice food and nice place to be with my family. The kid meal with a small lego box was my son's favourite. The staff were nice and helpful.

Dear Frans, I don't know who is cooking at your place, it was 17:05 But I have never had such a disappointment with you. I ordered oven spareribs from you which were inedible, dry and hard I think they were reheated from yesterday, the worst I have ever tried. And until I waited for my order, I saw an advertisement on your screen about tasty kebab, so I ordered that too, along with fries. So I came home, opened my order and was shocked to find there were fries with burnt meat, I have never had anything like that. I also wrote an email to them but no one is responding, unfortunately

We are the only ones and it took half an hour.

For years, we have been coming from Berghem to get fries at this place. However, tonight was the last time! How bad! Four staff members were standing with their arms crossed doing nothing. The whole place looks filthy; the snack display case had greasy smudges on it. The portions were really small, the fries were undercooked and soggy, and the satay sauce was way too salty and tasted like it was ‘stale’. I have rarely experienced anything this bad! I was surprised that there was hardly anyone inside on Sunday at 6:00 PM, but now I understand. You won't be coming back like this!

Very bad. I ordered chicken satay which was supposed to come with satay sauce… then the order was brought and, of course, without satay sauce. I then asked if I could have some and I received it properly. Subsequently, we received 2 of the 3 portions of 'patatje oorlog' (fries with mayonnaise and onions) that we had ordered and I was accused of eating something I hadn't ordered… and he asked if he could see my bank statements. I am not coming here again!

Poorly cooked fries and a cold meatball. And the homemade nasi ball was cracked and a soggy mess. A real shame. I reported it by phone - it's assumed, but I get the impression nothing is being done about it.

The fries were well-fried and delicious, but the schnitzels were unfortunately tasteless. I ordered "frietje oorlog" (war fries) and got fries with peanut sauce and mayonnaise, but the special was nowhere to be found.

Delicious spare ribs glazed with a sweet-and-sweet sauce and accompanied by endless portions of greasy fries 😋😋🍟 After you've truly reached your absolute bottom, you can still get a delicious soft serve ice cream. For this, walk past (and ignore) the salad bar and order your well-deserved end to a wonderful evening at the snack counter!! 5 stars ⭐️ for this meat factory and until next time (more) 😋😝🦴

I've been coming here at least twice a week for years. But the quality has been declining rapidly in the last four or five months. Either there's new management or new chefs. Even a regular schnitzel menu with fried potatoes is difficult to prepare, let alone a salad bar. I haven't seen a single salad on the menu in four months.

Before theater visit quick and good snack bar mediocre atmosphere

What a disappointment! After repeatedly eating ribs here, I decided to grab a bite to eat tonight before going to the theater. I ordered schnitzel with fries and stroganoff sauce. I asked for the schnitzel to be fried, but it turned out to be hard and on a baking sheet. They said they'd make a new one. I said, "I'll make it from grease, and would you like to take your plate?" That wasn't necessary. I could already eat fries; you don't do this like that. So I had to either let the fries get cold or eat the meat without fries. The next schnitzel wasn't hard or burnt, but it wasn't very tasty either. The sauce, I think, was gypsy sauce. Unfortunately, we won't be ordering it again. It was also quite cold inside, which they solved with a portable gas burner.

After taking over, I was very disappointed with the portions. Fries were overcooked, overly salted, and underdone. No difference between a regular and a large portion of fries. No tasty sauce with the pulled pork; in short, dry... You could indeed indicate that you'd prefer slightly overcooked fries and less salt, but when you place your order at the kiosk, that option isn't available. Absolutely a NO-GO. A real shame...

Really bad service! They don't bring anything, and then you have to ask for it yourself, and they get angry. And the food was inedible.

You get served quickly, but the quality can be inconsistent; the fries were way too soft. Last time I ate here (a few days ago), they were crispy.

Just picked up fries from here, but I've never had such a bad package of fries. There were literally 25 arrows of fries in the box. The satay sauce also tasted like it had been simmering for days. Once and never again!

I waited about five minutes to place an order. The older woman behind the counter was chatting with another customer and ignored me, even though she clearly saw me waiting. No effort was made to help me. I ended up leaving and eating somewhere else. Shame about the service! You won't see me there again.

The food is well-prepared. We often eat spareribs there. They're generously replenished without having to run out of garnishes first, for example. The staff is friendly and helpful if things don't go as planned or the quantities vary.

Ordered food yesterday and had it delivered. All 4 of us got sick and everything came out. Had a really bad taste in our mouths and really bad stomach. Contacted them about this and they immediately dismissed it with, among other things, whether we had a busy day (we didn't) and that it wasn't their fault anyway. The food really wasn't good. A listening ear would have been nice. So never again here

Walking outside all day for a good cause and then you think you'll take a quiet break with 2 friends. Both ordered food and I brought a small bowl of food from home, but I was rejected with a clear 'NO' when I asked if I could eat it next to my friends. So you see that on a day where you want to contribute yourself to society in a positive way, you get no sympathy at all in return, bizarre!

Great service, especially the owner, who makes sure that each customer is served professionally. Additionally, she is lovely to talk to. Orders are processed quickly, you can order for delivery online or on site - at the cash register or at the touch screen. The employees know the range well and are able to provide additional information or recommend something for every appetite.

I am currently 32 weeks pregnant and we drove here for an hour after work because I really wanted to try the spareribs. They were really delicious! We were there with our 14-month-old son, who only drank milk until two months ago and still hardly eats. That is why we wanted to give him small pieces (he has not yet eaten two pieces in total). Then we were told by an employee - who looked gloomy from the start and was not friendly at all - that we were not allowed to share with others. We did not do that either, we only gave small pieces to our baby. We explained that he hardly eats anything and that a full children's menu would not make sense for him, because it would be a waste of food and our money. At the end we still got a bill on which €3.50 was charged for the two pieces that we had given to our baby. This completely changed the atmosphere. We left immediately and did not even eat any more. The food was great and we would love to come back again, but the principle that we were not even allowed to share with our 14 month old baby and that he had to have his own plate, we found really ridiculous.

When you walk in you are welcomed by a warm homely atmosphere. The service is fast and friendly. Most importantly: the ribs are also delicious.

Picked up a quick lunch here during a training session around the corner. Omelette and salad, simple, fast and well organised.

We thought we would try out a different chip shop... The fries were very tasty and so were the bitterballen. The 7 euro hamburger would have been tasty, provided they had used a different bun. This soft bun made it very soggy and was barely able to hold it. It literally fell apart. You are barely greeted upon entering. Not even when leaving. The atmosphere is too gloomy for words. As if no one felt like working. Even the owner doesn't spare you a glance. We did not feel welcome and will not return here.

Enjoyed the 3 course menu. Friendly service, neatly coming to the table to ask if everything was satisfactory and sufficient. Nothing to complain about the quantity. The fries are great. And the dessert was also excellent. This resulted in 4 happy faces. Will definitely come back.

The go-to place for delicious spareribs. Normally not a fan of spare ribs at all, but here they are usually good to eat and for a very reasonable price. Parking space is a bit on the tight side.

We ate delicious unlimited ribs, they were wonderfully tender and prepared. My wife had carpaccio and steak tips, which were also delicious. In terms of price, it is certainly not expensive.

Just ridiculous help. You come to get ice cream, a very large group comes in, so I have no overview of the counter and it is very busy for me. I'm on my phone because I have to wait. And because of this I am ridiculously told to "always use those *** phones, be more careful next time" while the store is full on the ice side by the employee!!! Can also be customer-friendly for someone who comes here often and steps aside to shout or deliver it!!!! Ridiculous. Lost a regular customer!!.. Antisocial help here.... shame...

2 dishes 1: steak tip: way too salty. immediately feel nauseous after eating 2 pieces of this (and this in someone who never suffers from nausea or stomach complaints). Conclusion: meat was probably expired/spoiled, which was tried to cover up with salt. Frans van der Schoot has been a household name in Oss for many years. What a pity that it is again an ordinary snack bar, albeit with a thorough makeover, but still... And unfortunately the menu promises more than reality, at least as far as the cordon bleu is concerned: "Well filled with ham and cheese" was ultimately a cordon bleu with ham inside and a slice of cheese was on the meat. Shame !

Fries and snacks tasted great, portion of fries for 5 people was more than enough. Unfortunately the satay sauce had started to leak; cardboard lid on a plastic cup doesn't work.

Quite a chic cafeteria in terms of decor.. Food was fine.. The burgers were very tasty. Staff were friendly.. I was also able to get a blow in there without any problems.

Great snack bar, lots of choice but it remains a snack bar. The positive thing is that you can get many types of ice cream there, but it's a pity that you can't order thin/French fries there. Service isn't really great at the moment. When you are standing in line for an ice cream, the employee helps 1 customer and then completely ignores you.

Nice place! We drove to Oss a bit on spec and passed Frans. Nice tent! The atmosphere is wonderfully carefree, you notice that from the first moment you step inside. You will be warmly welcomed. You can order via a QR code, but also via the service. Once again the customer-oriented attitude of the employees, it feels very warm. The food was delicious and the choices you can make are pleasant. You can also order rice instead of fries, just as easy. The salad bar that you can use unlimitedly when ordering a main course is also great fun. Portions are quite generous, we will come back here again! Go eat here people!
