We came to eat fries and they were so delicious and crispy.

Unfortunately, I have to give a moderate rating. Simply because there was too much salt on the fries. So, next time I would order without salt. It is certainly worth trying fries prepared differently there.

The shop is located right in the heart of the shopping district, so it's super easy to find. The atmosphere is a bit cold, but still somehow inviting. The staff was really friendly and attentive, no complaints there. The fries look absolutely amazing in the pictures, they're mouthwatering. Honestly, though, I've had much better ones in the Netherlands. These are more like mediocre fries. The portions are smaller than the palm of your hand and are reminiscent of a children's meal. Even my wife was still hungry afterward. Taste-wise, it simply looks better than it tastes. You can eat it, sure, but these aren't real crispy fries with a proper bite. It's more of a pretty sight. In conclusion: friendly service and attractive presentation, but there's definitely room for improvement when it comes to the fries and the portion size.

We stopped by for lunch and had a really great experience! The fries were absolutely delicious. Exactly how fries should be: perfectly crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. I had the Truffle Parmesan Fries, and my boyfriend had the Pulled Pork Fries. Both were incredibly tasty. The truffle parmesan combination was full of flavor, and the pulled pork was perfectly seasoned and really delicious. The portions were also very generous, which made it even better. Everything was beautifully presented, and you could really tell that care goes into the food. We sat outside, which was nice for the atmosphere, although seating is quite limited and you’re essentially sitting right in the alley/street. Something to keep in mind if you’re hoping for a quieter or more spacious setting. A special mention to the man who served us. He was very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even nicer. If you’re in Maastricht and craving really good fries, this place is absolutely worth a visit!

We were so disappointed with what we received… The fries were fried multiple times, hard, and cold. Thank goodness for the truffle mayo, which at least allowed us to eat a few fries from the container. It's a shame because so many people were passing by, but what a stupidly bad product.

(17/01/2026) We had some really delicious fries. No frying fat taste, which is common at some chip shops, just pure potato flavor. I recommend the fries with truffle mayo and Parmesan cheese. The service was fantastic, from a very friendly man and woman. When I asked to take my leftovers home, they even gave me two free jars of sauce and a tangerine for my child. We will definitely come back here when we're in the area again, if only for the excellent service!

We tried this Dutch chip shop and ordered two different kinds of fries. The fries with truffle and mayo were exceptionally delicious and definitely our highlight. We also had a portion with pork, which was also tasty, but not quite as good as the truffle fries. The incredibly friendly staff deserves special mention. We immediately felt welcome and very well taken care of. A visit is definitely worthwhile!

Words can't describe how great this meal was! I ordered the Friet Zuurvlees with a Frikandel Special and got to try my first Kroket on top. The highlight of my European holiday, will fly from Australia to eat it again!

Dangerous disregard for dietary needs – not safe for vegans or anyone with allergies. I asked for vegan options and was served non-vegan food (mayo, cheese, sauces) and later discovered their so-called “vegan” fricandel was actually vegetarian. When I pointed this out, the owner shouted at me, refunded me, and told me never to come back. If I’d had an allergy, this could have been very serious. Avoid if you have any dietary requirements.

We visited "Friet Elite" for lunch on August 10th. The place lives up to its name; the fries are simply fantastic. The food selection is limited but completely sufficient, and requests are catered for. Since the outside seating was full, we sat inside. Everything was very clean, and the service was fast and good. The restrooms are on the upper floor and accessible via a rather narrow and steep staircase. There's also a small terrace with seating upstairs. Overall, highly recommended! We paid €47 for four people (one dish and one drink each) – it was perfect.

Wir haben dieses Lokal zufällig bei einem Bummel durch Maastricht entdeckt. Es liegt in einer kleinen Nebenstraße Nähe des Bijenkorf Kaufhauses. Es gibt 3 kleine Tische draußen und einige Sitzplätze innen. Klimaanlage vorhanden. Wir hatten 3x Frites mit Pulled Pork und Coleslaw, 1x Frites mit unfassbar leckerer Trüffelmajo und 1x Frikandel Spezial, dazu 4x Fritz Kola Zero und haben glatt 50€ bezahlt. Die Getränkepreise fand ich recht hoch, daher 1 Stern Abzug.

The fries were very average, no special flavor. The sweet potatoes were a bit undercooked, not really flavorful. Service was quick, and the street seating was nice.

Friet Elite offers a small but adequate selection of fries. We tried the fries with truffle mayo. The truffle flavor was good, but I have to say the fries were very hard and had been sitting for quite some time. While we were waiting to place our order, we could see two baskets full of fries, and our fries were probably served from the same basket 15 minutes later. They might have been fried again briefly, but unfortunately they weren't fresh. Only 3 stars due to the freshness of the fries. However, that could just be due to the weather on the day.

Pedimos las papas fritas de cerdo y estaban deliciosas, junto con una cerveza y un poco de salchicha que no recuerdo cómo se llamaba. El personal era amable y el servicio era rápido.

De frietjes waren overheerlijk. De bediening was zeer snel en vriendelijk. Ondanks dat we perongelijk schade hebben aangericht, was de man zeer begripvol en bleef hij vriendelijk. Zeker een aanrader!
