Since my chip shop is on holiday, I decided to visit Frankenstraat. It's great and friendly.

Ordered via home delivery from 't benkske, but after a while we called to find out where our food was. There was still no delivery person registered, so the people at 't Benkske could not do anything in the chip shop yet. The owner called home to be concerned and they did not have a delivery person yet. To solve the problem, the owner delivered it herself. What a winner, super happy with this great service. Delicious food. This is a business with service.

Because the order was delivered via home delivery but not delivered (had been waiting for more than 1.5 hours), I called the chip shop. We immediately found out where things went wrong and offered a solution. Half an hour later the order was delivered by themselves and the home delivery order was canceled for me. Very friendly and everything tasted delicious

The fries were very limp, it was like I was eating potatoes. Very little sauce somewhere at the bottom of the container. The Cheese Soufflé was tough and the frikandel was very thick and not a good taste. Our clothes can also go straight into the wash because we all smell of chip fat. A big disappointment for a first time with fries from you because I had received it as a tip but never again. Sorry

There are few chip shops where the fries taste as good as Ton's... I'm actually not that big on fries at all, but his is perfect... that's why 5 stars. But also for snacks and sauces. If there is one point of criticism, it is that the place is not wheelchair friendly However, this is resolved by taking the order outside. Problem solved, right? Ton, keep it up and we will come and eat with you often...👍👌

Upon entering we are greeted kindly. The man behind the counter is talking to a few waiting customers, so we wait politely for our turn. Not much later our order was taken and very friendly advice was given when asked what the tastiest homemade snack was. While waiting for the order, the man continued his conversation with the waiting customers. This was about fireworks and, to our delight, the conversation was in genuine Maastricht dialect. This is actually part of a chip shop in the middle of a neighborhood. In terms of decoration, it was a small but cozy chip shop. Not much fuss, but there are a number of posters from local entrepreneurs and donor cards from local associations. What really stood out was the red sofa with the large white star in the middle. This of course stands for the Maastricht flag. The order wasn't very large so we didn't have to wait long. Because we were working, we of course had to take it with us. We were packed: A French fry war, a Sputnik with curry and a portion of Souvlaki (the recommendation). The fries were very tasty. This immediately set the bar high for the rest of the order. The satay on the fries war was also worth a special mention. This is the best Satay we have ever had. The Sputnik was tasty but not very special. The onions were well fried. Not too black and not too raw. It was strange for us to order it, but the homemade souvlaki was very tasty. A number of Greek restaurants can follow this souvlaki as an example. The meat was tender and tasty.

It used to be Harry's chip shop... now Ton. It was tasty and a nice guy.

The fries were so limp and nasty! Of the 5 different sauces, only the joppie sauce was tasty! Stew was like detergent! Satay sauce warmed up action peanut butter! Mayo was as thin as water! Frikandel special drowned in water! Croquettes were a bright spot! Highly recommended if you want to order something from Ton!
