Saturday morning I woke up with an epiphany: "On my way from Antwerp via Maastricht to Rotterdam, I'll stop for fries at 'de Put'!" I'd been going there sporadically for no less than 35 years because I spent my youth in that hole. Don't ask me where that idea suddenly came from. I was actually looking forward to it that day. But alas. The pit has been filled in. There's no longer a Put. Its somewhat sad replacement does provide fries, though, and a seemingly drunken acquaintance of the baker's reminds me of the old days, because at de Put you ate fries as soon as you were full. In that respect, nothing has changed, except for me. Ca va. Nothing more to report. Disappointed, I continue on my way. Everything used to be better, right? 😉

We used to get fries here regularly, got really sick once, and then didn't go back. Now, a year later, we went to get fries again, and got really sick again. This time, it was fixed food poisoning.

Delicious French fries and friendly staff!

A great little place stuck between two smart bars. Great to see a small business run by young people. Food more 'real' than you get in a chain restaurant. Every little town needs at least one place like this.

Delicious, fresh, crispy fries. Very friendly service. The bitterballen (Dutch meatballs) are fantastic. Perfectly heated with pulled pork (as they should be). The chip shop is somewhat tucked away between two terraces.

Worthless, half of it was not included, the bami was not baked properly, the rest of the snacks were not included, never again

This (chips) place has never had a fresh potato, what a dramatic frozen mess, which then passes for fries!! We have 5 chip shops here in Oirschot and they all have the same rubbish, no one still makes their fries with love and attention and therefore as a craft, no, next time drive to Eindhoven Zwerts on the Boschdijk that's FRIET!!

Fries were not tasty, afterwards a combination of old and freshly fried fries, were very hard. Standard croquette was reasonable, Mexicano no special features, satay sauce watery and tasteless.

Just got fries. There would not have been a chip truck at a camper place. Looking forward to fries with a snack. Well done chapeau.

Choice is fine, production finish is disappointing. Half of the rooster is overcooked, the meatball is cold. By the way, fries are fine.

You get super tasty food there and the quality is very high. The fresh fries are also recommended.

I have practically just moved to Oirschot and have already passed by here a few times. Today, for lack of a better idea for dinner, I went here for dinner and honestly? Best idea this week. So delicious to burn your mouth.

Nice girl who took over the store after working for the previous owner for a number of years! Amber works in her profession with love and passion, and will do everything she can to meet the wishes of her customers! Give this novice entrepreneur a step in the right direction. She is always open to feedback, so help her grow into the most popular chip shop in the area!

The fries are really crispy, pity the service and the communications (even among the staffs themselves) can be better, you can do better to get the 5 stars...so no mood for photo

Went to Frietamientje today as a former customer of De Put. Unfortunately, despite the promise that the quality (of the fries) would remain the same, in our opinion this is not (yet) the case. As far as I can tell, it is no longer the same type of fries (slightly thicker), but that may also seem that way because the fries turned out to be very limp after opening the bag upon returning home. The snacks were fine, but that's not what you come to a chip shop for. So probably no more Frietamientje for us.

It’s tasty and fast, and most importantly, you can eat it on a beautiful square next to the church with a view of the old houses.

If you think there is 1 person in front...then 4 go!!! Takeaway orders before. Fries are too hard and the shaslick has an unrecognizable taste...so dry and fried black...shame...

Fries cooked too soft (yellow). Fries are not salted if you don't ask for them. Watch out for the local conviviality.

Small, but always well prepared and friendly staff. Maybe make an awning above the door so that you can wait or eat outside when it rains.

Fries were cold and the ratio of a small fries special was not good

Tasty fries, large fries are quite large. But so is the little one. Furthermore, it could have been a bit warmer. But...be forgiven, the small terrace was overcrowded by a group from the youth fire brigade, so it was very busy at that time. Nevertheless, the fries tasted great. Plenty of mayonnaise and friendly staff.

Unfortunately not worth repeating. I didn't like the fries, they seemed like they were fried in old oil. Moreover, the service was far from friendly, which does not benefit the (taste) experience!

Very nice home. Wide choice and clean open kitchen. But unfortunately these are not our good big Belgian fries. Rather, they are matchstick apples of the same kind as at fast food.

Nice snack bar where you will receive friendly help. In the summer there is a large spacious terrace on the sidewalk where you can sit after, for example, cycling for a while. The service is top notch.
