Placed an order today, December 10th, fries were cold, frikandel cold, only croquette warm, scandalous and paid 15.00 euros for it, once but never again

Very nice staff. Friendly and multilingual. The food was delicious. Inside, there was no seating except for a small standing counter with stools.

When my boyfriend asked if he could have 50% Mayo and 50% Ketchup they told him rudely: No! You have to pay extra. Seriously? 2€ for what they pay 0,02 €. WOW. Thanks, but really NOOOOO THANKS.

Truly lovely fries and very friendly staff even when they were busy

Delicious and unusual croquettes, with plenty of vegetarian options. We especially liked the truffle mushroom and goat cheese croquettes. But the mac and cheese and the bamibal are also worth trying.

After 13 years in Maastricht, this is still the best fries in town! The fries are super delicious, everything is fresh, and you can tell the staff really cares about quality. They've been around for a long time, and the quality remains just as high as ever. You don't often find that in restaurants. I don't understand negative reviews, but people always find something to complain about. If you care about quality, you're also willing to spend a little more. There are plenty of simpler chip shops in the area, but it's not comparable.

Parmesan fries are delicious, you should definitely give them a try.

The fries were unfortunately very bland and unsalted. They also should have been cooked longer, as they were still quite soft. We ate less than half, not because of the quantity, but simply because the quality was disappointing.

The fries were tasty, even though they were initially a bit bland. I'm guessing that's because of the new server who was still being trained. The frikandel were very good; I've definitely had much worse... I'd come back just for those.

Great fries and bitterballen Super friendly staff Perfect for a quick snack

After the Dutch Mountain Trail, I had fries and sour meat here. After a 100 km hike in three days, this was truly absurdly delicious. I enjoyed every bite. It was quite expensive, but the line showed that it was truly good. There wasn't much room to eat, but luckily we were able to sit outside on a small bench.

For me, this is the highest number of stars for a Dutch chip shop. For 5 stars, you really have to go to Belgium.

When students and locals are constantly queuing, you should definitely pay attention. Everything is freshly made, very good quality, and really large portions! Definitely recommended

A small place with 4 seats inside. Had very tasty fries! We had the pulled pork fries and the fries with truffle mayonnaise and parmesan cheese.

Looking for a quick snack during a short visit to Maastricht, I stumbled into Friterie Wieck. This offers the typical ambience and food offerings of Friterien in the Benelux countries. The fries were definitely more than tasty and are a recommendation.

Unfresh fries a little hard and flavorless mayonnaise. Correct staff. Spicy pork is not spicy. I would say ok just for food.

Not worth a second visit for me. The fries are average ok. Frikandel was ok, fleece croquette also ok. But if I ask for mustard and seriously have to pay 90 cents for it, at a price of 3 euros that's pretty wrong. Mustard goes with Bitterballen or a croquette. Paying for the sauce is understandable when it comes to fries, but not when it comes to mustard.

Bad chip shop! Bad staff..fries worthless and expensive. You ask for truufel mayonnaise and fries and you get garlic sauce. If you ask for Coke Zero, you get regular Coke. If you ask for small fries, you only get large fries.

This Friterie has home-made fries. Made with Traditional Sea Meat or Goulash. You can of course also order Snacks here. This Friterie is not big, but cozy. Definitely the place to be in Wieck Maastricht. Located from Sint Servaas bridge on the right if you come from the center.

I’m writing this review with a big smile on my face as I enjoy the fries from Friterie Wieck. The fries are perfectly cooked, and the generous portions of toppings elevate the experience. The truffle mayo fries, in particular, strike a perfect balance of rich and savory flavors. On top of the great quality of food and skillful preparation, the customer service is excellent. All in all, I definitely recommend a visit to Friterie Wieck!

I was torn between 3 or 4 stars for this place. The fries were decent but felt overpriced, especially since sauces aren’t included—you even have to pay extra for one basic sauce. Plus, the fries came unsalted. While that might work for regular fries, it was tricky with the loaded fries we ordered, as adding salt over the toppings was almost impossible. It would be great if they asked whether you want salt before adding toppings to make it easier for everyone. Also, the guacamole wasn’t true guacamole—it was more like a watery guacamole-flavored sauce.

The best fries in the world, combined with the friendliest service, makes this place so amazing. My husband and I always look forward coming home to Maastricht and picking up their fries with delicious toppings, homemade kalfskroketten or frikandel speciaal. At first it was really Wyck's better chip shop, but the last few times it was very weak or over-fried fries. Burgundian croquette... not very Burgundian in my opinion. Unfortunately, it is no longer necessary for me.

Fries limp, because they are swimming in the sauce. Hamburger is raw on the inside and if you say something about it, the response is that this is how it should be. Not the desired reaction if the customer prefers not to eat raw meat. I would have liked to squeeze something positive out of it, but (in retrospect) I also thought it was too expensive in relation to the quality.
