The fries with special sauce and the vegetarian frikandel with special sauce are delicious. I gladly come to Maastricht for them. The service is always very friendly, and the staff understands and speaks German very well.

It's fast food, after all. Don't expect too much, and it'll be fine. I had fries with Joopie sauce; personally, there was too much sauce for me, or it would have been better if they were served separately for dipping.

The server took her time with us and spoke both English and German. I had my first frikandel in the Netherlands here. I also ordered fries and Joppie sauce. I enjoyed both dishes. It was quite busy when we arrived, but we still managed to get seats.

Really super good fries! Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. The mayonnaise was delicious too. Just the right amount of salt. Great flavor. Very friendly ladies as well. A big compliment to the owners of this snack bar. I would love to come back again when I'm in Maastricht.

The fries were good. However, the currywurst was incredibly dry, and there was no curry sauce as one would expect, just a dollop of curry ketchup. I felt like I was at a soup kitchen for the homeless.

The fries were delicious, and the food was good overall. The service was also very friendly and attentive. Card payments are accepted, but only with debit cards, not credit cards. Unfortunately, it was quite cold inside – the temperature could be a bit more comfortable. The decor could also be improved.

This restaurant proves that hunger can sometimes be a bad advisor. The food was so raw that I briefly thought it was on purpose—a kind of culinary experiment in how far you can go without flavor. The "house specialty" tasted as if Google Translate had translated the recipe. The fries were limp, the meat dry, and the sauce resembled a failed promise more than actual food. The staff did their best, but were clearly just as surprised as we were that people would willingly come in. Conclusion: this isn't a restaurant; this is a warning. One star, because zero stars is unfortunately not an option.

The fries were unsalted and didn't taste particularly good. The sauces were just as bland. I wouldn't recommend it. The fries are cooked in a separate oil, which is great. However, "vegetarian" items are cooked in the same oil as all the other snacks (sausages, etc.). That's a shame.

These fries are the best in the Markt square and probably in all of Maastricht: Crispy with a soft center, nice, straight, square fries with noticeably few hard, pointy ones. We did a test on Easter Monday and bought small fries at various chip shops, but these were clearly the best.

Just a good chip shop with excellent fries and all kinds of snacks. Very nice ladies who help you. I'll definitely come back for fries every week with my husband.

OMG! If you don't have any demands on the food, then you can eat here. We ended up here because of a mistake. We actually wanted to eat somewhere else, but were blinded by the reviews and decided to stay and order. Ok, it is not expensive, the only plus point. It is a fast food place with oversalted fries, no service. I asked for a knife so I could cut the frikandel. It's better not to do that, otherwise you'll disrupt the fast-food process. 🤣 No recommendation

I am a frequent customer here and I have never been disappointed. The boba? Amazing. Even better than Moge Tea in my opinion. And for a better price. The fish stick is by far my favorite menu item, but they also have loads of delicious snacks. Even though I’m not fluent in Dutch the staff is very kind.

Fries and Frikandel of below average quality, not a recommendation. You couldn't call the food fresh, even though it was freshly prepared. The fat was probably not fresh. Plus really high prices... Small fries, mayo €4.25 - soft drink €3.00. Long waiting time, hardly any seats, everything occupied. Not very clean.

We had our snacks here. We had fries with joppie sauce and cheese kroket. Both were tasty. They had seats inside and outside. The service was quick.

Fries were actually just dirty. Satay sauce was also not tasty and too thin, causing the fries to swim in the sauce and quickly became limp and soggy. Visit Friedt Maastricht for really tasty fries.

Those mini cakes are even sweeter than they look and could have more other tastes than sweet and fatty, better share 1 with 2-3 people or you get instant diabetes.

I'm actually a big fan of Dutch Eetcafes, but this one is average at best: fries and frikandel special are somewhat okay, the satay sauce didn't work at all - it was very diluted and with tomato flavor instead of peanut. The prices are a bit too ambitious for that.

Great little restaurant, located right on the market, only has a few tables and chairs in front of the door, was quite full, we had Frikandel special with fries and mayo. Everything was super tasty and ready quickly. I can only recommend, prices were humane, I paid €16 for 2 Frikandel Spezial, medium fries with mayo and cola. We would love to come back...

We go here regularly, the food is delicious and it always takes short before it's ready. In the afternoon, for lunch, it's very nice to sit in the sun. They have a view towards the market straight at the city hall. The prices are very accessible.

Very bad, and the staff was walking around the store in their underwear, so I went to get blankets from Vroom and Dreesman because the guys had goosebumps on their claws, the price was very good, with 9 people fries sour meat and 19 croquettes plus 21 bottles of coke and we had to pay €11.67 plus we received gift vouchers for Yab Yum worth €12,000 So an absolute must for the keen and boyke

We ate 3 Frikandel XXL and a large portion of special fries. Everything was delicious and prepared quickly. Staff was friendly. Recommended for a little refreshment in between. The star deduction is because the Frikandel was fried a little too long. I complained about it to someone and received a replacement immediately.

Boba tasted nice (Move is still better in terms of taste but is definitely more expensive and further for me). People were friendly and it's nice to be able to sit on the plaza. I would probably go again but wouldn't go out of my way either. :) ps: I really liked the flavour of the taro boba

We wanted to eat delicious fries with mayo. We visited Maastricht for the first time. We were expecting a very tasty fries as we thought Dutch fries. This turned into food poisoning during the journey back to Germany. We still haven't recovered. Stomach cramps and vomiting were an issue for us. We hadn't eaten anything else there either, so that could only be that. Definitely not recommended. Taste zero stars. Position was fine.

Delicious cheese ouffée! But unfortunately, satay sauce fries are not that tasty because satay sauce tastes like something from a Chinese restaurant... I don't like it. I prefer real Dutch satay sauce!

My go-to place for fries! Never disappointed! Very large portions with good value for money! Mayo Fries are one of the best! Highly recommended!
