The taste of the fries is considerably better than at other chip shops in the area.

Friture de Wien has been a household name in Venlo East for years. We come here regularly, and the staff are always super friendly and do their utmost to ensure everything is taken care of. We have a wide selection of snacks and homemade dishes from our own kitchen. The cafeteria has seating inside, with small stools and a raised platform against the wall providing comfortable seating.

Lately the weather has deteriorated; small fries, lots of hard pieces, which get cold very quickly... And expensive; same order elsewhere €1.90 cheaper

The ambience is reminiscent of times gone by, but the food is delicious and the service is friendly.

The fact that this chip shop still exists is that we came there about 45 years ago when the shop still belonged to my grandfather and grandmother.

Good food, nice man behind the counter and a great place

Wait 45 minutes for fries, then let them sit in the container for 5 minutes to get cold and then tip them back into the fat. Younger staff do not go the extra mile when things are busy. The owner works hard, but there are far too few staff here, which means that the food gets cold before it is delivered. Never again takes far too long.

Yesterday, November 4, 2023, I came here with my son to buy French fries. While waiting, I saw a mouse running along the plinth in the hall!!!! Maybe it was Ratatouille, I don’t know, then they need at least one star, but I didn’t take the risk and asked for my money back. Today, instead of closing the place for sanitization, as an admission of guilt, they released the products as if nothing had happened. I am writing a post because I know that adults and children can suffer!!! The staff only smiled sweetly when they saw the rodent!

Fine. A number of home-made snacks on the menu and good fries. (no factory fries) They may pay attention to continuity: The same quality is not always delivered. Think about: how the fries taste, are they crispy, well fried or too short? Is frying fat/oil properly changed? Is the order complete? It remains a human job, stay alert!

Shit tent. Already the umpteenth time that order is incomplete. You are looking forward to the snack and it is not in the bag when you get home. I've had it. Plus last week the fries were nasty. Limp fries mixed with rock hard pieces.
