Fūdo in Wijk 21 Oude Haven

Excellent bubble tea, but one person to run the whole place is really not enough, too much waiting time...

I got a bubble tea here. It took quite a long time for 2 bubble teas. But the bubble tea was fine in the end.

The food is great, but the hours are wrong. It says they close at 9:00 PM, but when we arrived at 7:30 PM, they were already closed. This happens often and is a real shame :(

I rarely leave a negative review but I felt this had to be written! As a food blogger with over 23 million+ views on Google and a substantial following on socials, I would like to think I know good food/ service when I see it and more so a thing or two about bubble tea. You make your order by self service machine(s) and then the staff start make food/ drinks. Two machines - one working machine and the other broken. Mind you, it was not busy at all, I was the only customer. Staff were always behind the counter corner so had to be called for any questions regarding allergies and etc. I was met by a young lady, she explained they only accept card payment not cash. I ordered the brown sugar milk bubble tea with tapioca along with a chocolate drizzle €6. This is a drink which is usually one of the most popular from most places which serve bubble tea. This was a safe choice for me, before buying anything else lol. If the drink is bad then I am not buying any food lol. I’ve tried a lot of bubble teas in my time and brown sugar is a staple and it’s a delicious drink but sometimes can be too sweet for me but it’s still drinkable. Now we have the Fudo brown sugar bubble tea. This drink was the WORST I have ever tasted! This was not drinkable at all! It was so bland and bitter and the tapioca were also burnt. It tastes like they just mixed milk with tapioca with chocolate drizzle around the cup. There was literally no taste of anything. So I went back and said this doesn’t taste like brown sugar, please taste it and let me know what you think. She did not want to taste it and said I will make another. I was like great. Tried the second one and again this just tasted like semi skimmed milk! I mean just look at the photos! It just looks like milk and chocolate sauce around the cup! I am certain when she put the cup in the machine, it did not mix anything - just sealed the top of the cup. It usually mixes and heats the drink a little from the bottom so it can melt the brown sugar and etc but it was only in the machine for like 5-10 seconds. What is going on right now! I went back again and said please can you taste this because I cannot drink this. She didn’t say anything or even offer an alternative drink or even a refund. I left the drink in the counter with her the second time now and this time I walked out. Poor service. SMH. I have literally no idea how this standard of bubble tea is being served to the public. If they would have just tried to taste their own drink they may have understood me better. Look at my photo of the drink, it’s so pale! Looks like water mixed with milk right? Waited for almost 35 minutes to get a Poke Bowl Salmon. The employee clearly had no clue how to make the poke bowl and at the end I missed my train due to the long waiting time. Never coming back here.

The staff radiated unfriendliness and were not very helpful, and I also had to wait a very long time for the food.

I used to get a sushi roll here occasionally. I always went for the Deluxe with tuna. It has now been removed from the range. If you still want it, it turns out to be 40% more expensive than before. Also, the rolls aren't rolled firmly enough. When you cut them into slices, they fall apart. They really need to step things up a notch there.

Het eten en de boba hier zijn erg lekker, maar de service… 3 kwartier moeten wachten op boba en een sushi rol (terwijl het rustig was). Na een halfuur werd er verteld dat de thee op was en vroegen ze of ze het ander met water zouden maken 😖 Ik vroeg geld terug voor de boba maar dat kon niet en ze zeiden dat ik een mochi mocht uitzoeken die een stuk goedkoper was dan de boba. Uiteindelijk na 2 weken geld terug gehad via e-mailen. De service is het eten niet waard.

The food to price ratio was good previously but now they jacked up the prices while the food quality went down. It takes extremely long to get the food even if there are just 2 clients and 3 people working the counter. This time I have waited nearly 20 minutes while the girls begind the counter kept gossiping about whatever things.

Had the jasmine bubble tea, one of the most tasteless tea I ever had. They should really work on the quality of the product they are charging so much for. The service was quick and great though, but it is not worth the 5.6 euros that I paid for the tea.

I visited couple times already. The food was always good. I also liked the bubble tea a lot. However, the quality of bubble is not consistent unfortunately. Usually I got good ones, but the one I got from yesterday was soft outside but hard inside. It seems like the bubble was cooked from the day before and stored in the refrigerator overnight(or long time), so it tasted not fresh anymore. Hope it can be improved so that I can keep enjoying a good cup of bubble tea in Zaandam🧋

Shout out Wessel (I apologise if I spelled that wrong man). He gave me a brand new drink after the other cup broke in my hand when I pinch the bottom to hard by accident. I had the Taro and Thai milk every time I went and I can’t complain, had it with tapioca every time too and it was decent. I had a sushi roll once and it had salmon in it and I wasn’t sick so it was definitely prepared correctly. Staff are nice and work as quick as they can. Two flaws with the place. Prices are a little bit too steep, and every single time I ordered I didn’t ask for any brown sugar drizzle (a +€0.25 for it) and I got it every time. So, while I didn’t complain, even though I didn’t want it; I don’t think it’s the staffs fault and maybe the way the check/ticket for the order prints, and they can’t see it? So, if you wanna save actual pennies, say you don’t want the sugar drizzle, and you’ll get it anyway

Not my style of food but you definitely should try out 👌😁

Net een heerlijke Sushi roll gegeten. Nette zaak, nette bediening.

Eten is goed maar we bestelden altijd online onderweg naar huis om het snel te kunnen ophalen en dat blijkt nu niet meer mogelijk. De website verandert elke 2 weken en je kunt nog alleen via thuisbezorgd naar huis laten leveren. Dat betekent voor de klant langere wachttijd in de winkel. Irritant!

Zeer lekkere sushi rolls. Maar de hygiëne en klantvriendelijkheid in Zaandam is zeer matig tot slecht. Vieze vloer, balie zit vol eetspetters, zeggen nooit gedag en werken heel traag voor een fast food keten. Ze trekken andere bonnetjes voor ipv op volgorde werken. Hopelijk brengen ze gauw orde en netheid terug want als de keuringsdienst een keer komt kunnen ze sluiten.

Altijd lekkere bubble tea, maar ook de sushi is goed. Erg vriendelijk personeel.

The bubble tea was great and the sushi was really tasty and a good price for the size. One star off because the wait time is really long but would buy again.

Het was een heerlijke locatie om jezelf te verwennen. Helaas is het menu herzien en zijn er veel keuze restricties geïntroduceerd met daarbij een forse prijsstijging. Als ze de crunchy spicy chicken roll weer beschikbaar maken overweeg hier weder te keren.

The staff is very kind and the food is really delicious. This store serves a clean and reliable meal.

Prima bubble tea! Alleen jammer dat het bereiden altijd een beetje lang duurt... Soms lijkt er geen pit in de werknemers te zitten en doen ze 10 minuten tot een kwartier over 1 bubble tea. Erg jammer, als ik namelijk wist dat het vlotter bereid werd zou ik veel vaker bubble tea komen halen tijdens mijn overstap!

Het eten is hier goed. Maar de service is erg minder geworden de laatste tijd. Ik heb het gevoel dat de werknemers geen goede begeleiding krijgen. Ze nemen erg hun tijd en stralen niet uit dat ze je snel en goed willen helpen. Een boba + sushi roll kan soms 10-15 min duren.

Groot fan van Fudo. Als ik sushi bestel eigenlijk standaard hier. Houd ook van het concept dat je een hele rol krijgt, kan je nog zelf in stukjes snijden of afhappen. ❤

Absolutely LOVED this concept; their food was simple yet exceptional, the sushi rolls, mochi ice creams, bubble tea, I still think about them sometimes. Next time I’m in Zaandam, this is the first place I’m visiting.

VERY tasty. And fresh. Bubble tea is also amazing. Great price! The only “flaw” is that you need to wait, so if you’re in hurry, it’s not the best choice, as you will be late. But it is worth it.

I went there for our first day in Amsterdam and was literally impressed. Everything was good, the boba, the rolls, the poke bowl and the mochi's! It's done quickly and service is nice! I highly recommand

Twee pokebowls afgehaald, beetje teleurgesteld zalm proefde niet vers, we kregen geen eetstokjes maar een vork en bij de tonijn zaten maar 6 kleine stukjes tonijn. Jongen achter de Bali wist weinig over het assortiment en wat er mogelijk was. Helaas tent ziet er mooi uit maar zou hierom niets meer hier halen.

Ik had de California roll, de crunchy roll, drie avocado bites en een bubble tea. Eerlijk is eerlijk het eten was hartstikke lekker, geen opmerkingen aan. Bubble tea was ook heerlijk. De presentatie vond ik wat minder. Niet in stukjes gesneden, er zat ook geen wasabi en sojasaus bij wat ik erg jammer vond. Ik vond het hartstikke goed dat het ter plekke werd gemaakt, al merkte ik wel dat het meisje dat mijn eten klaar maakte, erg zat te treuzelen. Wat ik ook gelijk merkte aan de rol, want de buitenkant was mooi strak en het middenstuk was losjes. Verder alsnog. Hartstikke lekker gegeten
