Funky Freak in Centrum

Here GMap is sent to the wrong place somewhere on campus, which is a waste of time in the city and we can't find it except for a Chinese snack bar.

Cool interior. Nutella-coffee shake was delicious. Food presentation is beautiful. Downside: the waffle could really use more topping. Not enough chocolate sauce or toppings for that price… Would only come again for a drink. Overall: it’s was okay

Had delicious waffles in a nice setting. The pistachio delight is a must.

Paid 9 euros each for these 'crepes with Nutella and strawberries'. Waited 1.5 hours for this travesty. Hard, cold, inedible.

The crepe was really dry, so dry that u cannot cut it properly, also strawberry slices (as stated by funky freak) on the crepe were literally one strawberry which was already rotted from one side and placed on the crepe in a way that u cannot see it, i know 10€ isnt much, but i think for that price you shouldnt get dried out crepe with one strawberry and bueno bar.

It is photogenic here! Fantastically decorated, highly recommended. I had an iced coffee and it was very tasty. Only I got it in a take-away/paper cup while I was sitting in the restaurant. Then I would like it even more in a nice glass!

Good bubble waffle, deliciously fresh and quickly prepared! Some adjustments (strawberries instead of marshmallows and extra sauce) were no problem and no additional charge was charged (even for the iced coffee with all the trimmings), service! It's a shame that the waffle is not served as shown in the photo on the menu. The chocolate sauce is made from milk chocolate. Furthermore, simple vanilla ice cream, toppings and fruit available. It's nice to sit on the terrace on French chairs, but I think not so much indoors. Friendly staff, but not really serving. They don't often see you when you come to sit down and then they don't come by anymore, that could be better. Great for a sweet treat!

The food was really tasty! The service was fast and the people who work there are so polite and full of good energy!

Nice interior and good food, but quite pricey

We have been waiting 54 minutes for 3 wraps and a crepe. The wrapping of the wrap is dirty and there is sauce everywhere. The crepe is very tough and cannot be chewed. We sent it back and the second one was a bit tough and had little Nutella on it. They only speak English. You're freezing to death in here. They just play Taylor swifts and they sing along. Really not recommended.

Delicious food, but it took a while before we could order. Overall my favorite sweet shop!

I've been here a few times now and have always received excellent service from the same young man. Very neat and customer friendly and the smoothies here are delicious. Highly recommended

I loved the vibe. The staff was nice and the decor looked great. I really enjoyed it there. My ice coffee and wrap tasted great. I will definitely visit again :)

3 shakes besteld en wacht al langer dan 20 minuten. Shakes zijn anders dan op foto’s en inderdaad overpriced. Shakes waren ook njet koud en niet goed gemixt, zat er stukjes in…

Unscheinbar aber super cooler kleiner Laden. Der Smoothie war sehr lecker, wie auch der Wrap. Kommen gerne wieder.

It was quite empty when I arrived, and I expected getting the shake in the glass jar, but the pancake made up for it. Absolutely delicious.

Friendly staff and yummy milkshakes but the seating options should be improved because the tables and chairs are tiny. Also you could tell the pancakes weren't fresh because it was a little bit stale and chewy.

The place has an interesting interior and a great selection. However, in reality the drinks don‘t look as good as on the menu. The taste was okay but I didn‘t like consistency.

Super gezellig plekje met heel lekker eten. Personeel was vriendelijk en er werd hele leuke muziek gedraaid. Zeker een aanrader!

had the passion protein smoothie and really liked that one! Could be a bit cheaper (especially bc it is located where a lot of students are) but 6.50 euro for a quite big shake is also not too bad....

Great smoothie/milkshake bar with a very original aesthetic and delicious smoothies/milkshakes. They have a lot of variety, and some incredible crepes. Very friendly staff too!

Nu efter två år tillbaka igen till Groningen och självklart måste vi igen till bästa Funky Freak och testa deras nya söta och fina smoothie med massa olika crepes och mycket annat som dom gör med kärlek, jag kan bara säga Waooooo vilken smak, jag rekommenderar värmt till alla som besöker Groningen centrum att dom måste testa detta ställen.

Het was heerlijk, vriendelijk personeel en super creatieve en interessante plek. Echter stond de muziek zo hard dat ik amper mn vriendin kon verstaan, en ik vond de muziek ook totaal niet bij de ruimte of het eten passen. Ik zou sneller terug komen, mocht dit veranderd worden.

Funky place to go to, we liked the vibes there. Nice cafe with unique decor, we enjoyed our time. The pancake tasted good, and the topping was generous. The staff was friendly, and the price was reasonable. I will visit again!

Ganz ok. Die Freakyshakes sind sehr sehr süß, aber die Smoothies sind zu empfehlen. Nette Servicekräfte.

We hebben lekker gegeten ik had een smoothie sunshine erg lekker verfrissend en mijn man had peanut banana en wrap amo waar ik ook van mocht genieten ik had eigenlijk geen trek maar voor de smaak toch even geproefd en hmmm is inderdaad wel iets dat wel goed smaakt, maar omdat het assortiment met name op waffels wraps en crêpe is het niet iets voor elk moment maar van tijd tot tijd als je toch zoiets wilt doen is dit wel aan te raden niet alleen om het eten maar ook zeker de inrichting zeker origineel.

Erg lekkere smoothies, zeer vriendelijk personeel, zeker een bezoek of 2 waard. Netjes en schoon.
