The food was excellent, and the price-quality ratio was even better than excellent. I would recommend the pizza diavola.

A delicious menu, a cozy atmosphere, and above all, incredibly friendly service. We ate here every day of our stay because the atmosphere was great, the food was delicious, and the service was outstanding! A very hardworking woman who was constantly on her own and always remained incredibly friendly! Highly recommended!

We were on the terrace at Rubens 14 days ago after a long bike ride and wanted something to eat and drink....after a long wait we got the tickets ourselves, the lady of the house was chatting with the few other guests...we left the restaurant after 20 minutes and had a wonderful meal and drink in Veere...never again

Very delicious food with excellent value for money. Eight of us were there and enjoyed the magnificent view surrounded by water. The portions were huge, so everyone, even our almost-grown sons, were satisfied. The quality of the food was very impressive, and the service very friendly! We're already looking forward to our next visit!

We only stopped in for a drink, but were greeted and served in an extremely friendly and courteous manner. The terrace is great, the restaurant itself has a wonderful ambiance, and the restrooms are excellent. We'd love to come back for dinner!

The evening at Rubens was very pleasant: a great view, a friendly hostess, and delicious food in generous portions. While you often have to eat fries and bread to get your fill in Holland, my meal here started with the most delicious and largest carpaccio of my life. Then came well-cooked beef and a Caesar-style side salad with Parmesan. Yum! My family had great pasta and delicious fish. The champagne was very reasonably priced, so if you want to treat yourself to a bottle of Moët and Chandon, we'll definitely be back. Thank you for the evening.

What a wonderful place to eat! Everything is truly delicious and beautifully presented, but the sole is truly the highlight. So fresh and perfectly cooked. It's the best I've ever had (and I've had quite a few 😀).

We received a friendly welcome from the hostess. Ordered the scampi pasta and mussels. The scampi pasta was from another planet, so delicious! Definitely recommended, and we'll definitely be back!

What a beautiful place to eat with friends or family. Beautiful view in the conservatory, but also inside, on cooler days, is very atmospheric. The hostess is very friendly and relaxed. And really delicious food! A wonderfully relaxed atmosphere, really recommended.

Way too small portions, prices ridiculously expensive for what you get. Going to dinner with a group of friends. I ordered cod with mashed potatoes. The cod was far too little and the tablespoon of mashed potatoes was smeared across my plate. Unbelievable how they dare to offer such a small portion. I was really disappointed. I'm definitely not a big eater, but this portion was unacceptable.

De kabeljauw besteld. Het was zeer teleurstellend om mijn bord te zien verschijnen. Het stuk kabeljauw was echt zeer klein, de aardappelpuree stelde niets voor, een eetlepel uitgesmeerd over mijn bord. Ik ben absoluut geen grote eter en ben met honger vertrokken.

I can highly recommend the restaurant and have been going there for many years. The view of Veere and the sunset is magical. The cuisine is ambitious and the service from Anouk and her team is wonderful. The large carpaccio is addictive. But all other dishes on the menu are also highly recommended. For us it's coming home to friends with excellent cuisine.

We stayed in Kamperland in a B&B and the first evening we chose to eat at Rubens. We were warmly welcomed by hostess Anouk. We were able to choose a spot on the veranda with a beautiful view of the lake. The food, made by chef Ruben, was SO delicious that we chose to enjoy food at Rubens on our last evening. Had a lovely lunch today. The food is delicious, compliments to the chef. Friendly service. Moreover, a beautiful location on the Veersemeer.

At Rubens Gasterij you can taste that the food is prepared by someone with a passion for food. We went for the Rubens Menu, my wife chose the Salmon tartare and the Rubens Steak, I chose the beef carpaccio and the fried mussels. Neither of us have regretted our choice for a moment. These were by far the tastiest mussels I have ever eaten, highly recommended.

Very tasty food at the harbor in Kamperland. We were able to experience a wonderful sunset on the Veerse Meer while eating.

Delicious 3 course menu. Salmon starter was great. Main course fried mussels were also very tasty, just a bit too greasy/too much oil. Creme brulee dessert was amazing! Lovely sitting on the water and good service, good atmosphere.

Delicious lunch! (14-07-2022). On June 15, we had dinner with a sole as the main role. Fresh, perfectly cooked and therefore very tasty! Wonderful dinner, again! Now on 15-06-2024. North Sea sole of 450gr as a suggestion and yes: perfectly cooked!! ! Quite pricey, but worth it. For the others, sharing dishes was no problem. Had a delicious meal AND a pleasant evening. Another lunch, July 22, 2024, and again very tasty food (Carpaccio with bread and a delicious natural pancake). Great food here! (and a nice view!)

We rented a sloop from Gasterij Rubens for half a day. We were received very warmly. Ruben briefly explained to us how everything worked on the Veerse Meer and afterwards we were allowed to take our luxury sloop. After our afternoon sailing, we had coffee and cake. Top experience! We will come back anyway

Beautiful terrace with a view of the boats sailing in and out, mooring in front of the door, friendly owners and we have had a very good meal about 10 times.

After a relaxing boat trip, we moored at the jetty at this restaurant. Very friendly welcome and good service. Had a delicious homemade tuna salad sandwich. Received a large glass of ice cubes with the drinks. Wonderfully relaxed watching boats from the terrace in the shade of large parasols, which was certainly necessary that day. After a sanitary stop at clean toilets, we got back on the boat and continued our (water) way satisfied.

Unieke, geweldige locatie aan het water met prachtig uitzicht over het Veerse Meer. Onze lunch was tonijnsalade met 3 warme minibolletjes brood en...dat was het! Geen garnituur en de tonijnsalade waren twee ijsco bolletjes groot met alleen tonijn met mayonnaise gemixt. Ietwat karig voor de prijs. De lunch van een vriendin was twee witte boterhammen met een omelet. Geen boter op brood en geen garnituur. Dus eigenlijk net zo saai als de tonijn salade. Heel jammer want het is zo simpel om het iets aantrekkelijker te maken met wat garnituur en dat kost ook niet veel! Voor de locatie komen we zeker terug!

I chose the ribeye and it was excellent. Haven't had such a good meal in a long time. For dessert I chose the tete a tete which was also surprisingly tasty. We will definitely go back.

Een top restaurant! Heerlijk gegeten, met mooi uitzicht op het water. Super vriendelijke gastvrouw en we zijn snel geholpen. We hebben vooraf een carpaccio gegeten, het was heerlijk en het bord paste net op tafel. Als hoofdgerecht hadden we beide een ripeye, ook die was om je vingers bij af te likken. Zeker een aanrader als op Noord beveland bent

Great location with a view of Verre. Gastronomy has existed for more than 10 years. Nice service. Delicious lunch dishes. Couscous very tasty. Small Asian rolls spicy. Pancakes above average.

We actually wanted to have lunch, but the menu and atmosphere were disappointing. Then just 2 beers and a portion of bitterballen.... better not to do that. You can't ruin anything with beer, but apparently bitterballen can. Weird atmosphere and 22 euros for 2 beers and 6 dirty bitterballen, fried for far too long. We fled to another restaurant to have lunch.

De prijzen ter plaatse zijn hoger dan op de website. Ook de samenstelling van het 3 gangen menu is anders. Eten is nog redelijk goed, maar prijs/kwaliteit niet in verhouding. Uitzicht mooi, maar binnen gedateerd. Ober niet echt verstand van dranken. Er zijn betere restaurants die goedkoper zijn geprijsd!

We had carpaccio and an egg roll. Outrageously expensive for the portions you get. We were also not asked if we had enjoyed it.

Very nice location and great ambience. We ordered wheat beer (€6.50). We discovered that when the bottles were served to us and the beer was poured, the beer had already expired. We asked the friendly service about it. This was known to you. But you can still drink it, she asked the dealer. Actually it would have been good if she had told us beforehand. But the beer was still good and enjoyable. Dogs allowed.

Afgelopen week 3x wezen dineren waarvan 1x met vrienden. Heerlijk gezeten aan het veerse meer met uitzicht op Veere. We hebben in ons bezoek verschillende gerechten gegeten van de menukaart, die ontzettend goed op smaak waren en waarvan je overduidelijk proeft dat het vers is klaar gemaakt. Gastvrouw kundig en heel vriendelijk. We kijken uit naar ons volgende bezoek in jullie mooie Gasterij

Entrees were good and tasty. The main courses, however, were substandard. The steak was downright tough, the chicken satay dry and the pasta lacking in flavor. Dessert was delicious, but I doubt whether it came from our own kitchen. My advice is to give your guest a little more attention and don't make them wait too long. When it gets dark, make sure there is lighting. A candle works wonders.

After an earlier delicious lunch with 6, now a delicious dinner with 4. Not the cheapest dishes on the menu, but it's definitely worth it. Really delicious meal with seafood pasta, cod and Rubens steak. Smooth and friendly service by Ruben and Anouk themselves. Good parking. Mooring for a boat. Recommended!

Die Gerichte lesen sich sehr gut. Das Anrichten auf dem Teller ist auch sehr gelungen. Geschmacklich fehlt jedoch noch das letzte Fünkchen. Es schmeckt leider nicht nach dem, was das Aussehen verspricht.

Wat een mooie plek met goed eten en vriendelijk personeel. Afgelopen weekend zijn we hier uiteten geweest en ze deden er alles aan om ons een top avond te bezorgen. We komen hier zeker terug!

Heerlijk eten! We komen hier regelmatig samen met onze familie om te dineren. Het personeel is super vriendelijk en het eten is heerlijk! We komen hier zeker vaker.

Afgelopen maandag met ons 2tjes genoten van het overheerlijk menu, lekker (en veel) gegeten, vriendelijke bediening en wat een mooi uitzicht. Echt een pareltje, zowel voor het oog als voor de maag ;-). Wij komen zeker terug.

Die Lage des Restaurants ist fantastisch und das Essen sehr gut. Leider passt die Freundlichkeit und der Service nicht zur Qualität der Speisen und den Preisen. Nach dem ersten Gang waren bereits die Getränke leer und es wurde nicht nachgefragt. Auch wurden die Teller sehr lange stehen gelassen. Die Portionen sind nicht sehr groß, was ok ist, aber für ein paar zusätzliche Pommes, da es den Kindern nicht ganz gereicht hat, 6,50€ zu berechnen, sind wir in diesem Preissegment nicht gewöhnt. Kaffee oder Ähnliches wurde auch nicht angeboten. Trotz der hervorragenden Speisen werden wir dort nicht mehr essen gehen.

Mooi plekje met uitkijk over het veerse meer. Haventje waar je boten kunt bekijken. Ook vlakbij de aanlegsteiger om de boot naar de overkant te pakken naar Veere of een rondvaart te doen.

Lieve mensen, zoek niet verder. Er is geen zaak die beter is dan deze op Noord Beveland en omstreken. Qua uitzicht,kwaliteit en liefde voor het eten is dit een absolute aanrader. De kok komt zelf het eten brengen, zelfs de Irish Coffee wordt ter plekke ingeschonken. De service is perfect. De prijzen zijn meer dan redelijk en had ik het uitzicht al vermeld. Mooie kaart en de steak is een aanrader.

Gezellig restaurant met een heel mooi uitzicht. Vriendelijk onthaal en bediening.... Verzorgd en lekker eten, hadden de suggestie (zeetong) ook goede wijn. Ook onze Fay (hond) was welkom en kreeg ook de modige aandacht (water) Komen zeker terug!

Nachdem wir ein Restaurant gesucht haben was Fisch anbieten sind wir hier gelandet. Das Restaurant ist sehr schön gelegen mit einer tollen Aussicht auf Veere direkt am Wasser. Die Speisekarte ist gezielt ausgesucht mit Speisen für jeden Geschmack. Der Service war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend so wie schnell. Das Essen hat geschmeckt und war ausreichend. Preis Leistung - man zahlt die Aussicht und die Lage mit. Aber es ist definitiv ein Besuch wert gewesen.

Nachdem wir letztes Jahr zweimal zufrieden hier essen waren, haben wir gestern sehr enttäuscht das Restaurant verlassen. Der „catch of the day“ für 32 Euro waren eine Handvoll Gambas gut gegrillt, aber die Beilage bestand aus einer aufgeschnittenen Knoblauchzehe mit etwas undefiniertem Grün und einem Minikleks Kartoffelnbrei matchig im Gambaöl und einem Löffelchen Piri-Piri-Sauce aus der Tube. Das Ganze komplett ungewürzt. Sehr lieblos und völlig überteuert. Dazu ein zu volles Restaurant in Wirtshauslautstärke. Nur die Aussicht konnte überzeugen. Schade, aber wir kommen sicher nicht wieder.

Top locatie maar bediening snapt niet hoe klanten te behandelen. Zonder iets te zeggen, laten ze je 15 minuten wachten alvorens je iets kunt bestellen. Vervolgens krijg je een snauw als je om vraagt of je kunt bestellen Een gin tonic kost 15 €.

Goede kwaliteit eten. Wellicht wat geringe hoeveelheid voor de wat egrotere eter, maar het past wel weer in de wat upscale setting van dit restaurant. Was heel warm en mn dochter wilde haar derde glas drinken hebben. Toen ik vroeg om kraanwater gaf men aan dat dit niet geschonken wordt..... heb het wel.gekregen overigens

Op het terras zeker aangenaam om te vertoeven. Het eten vond ik persoonlijk maar gewoon ook al omdat de "kats" of the day Gambas waren. Die kunnen volgens mij niet in Nederland gevangen worden.
