It was a fantastic place. I ate and had drinks there several times. The decor was fantastic, the food was excellent, and the owner was friendly and proud, telling me how he'd renovated everything himself. It was such a shame they had to close. I hope he and his team find great jobs and wish them all the best.

Great staff full of passion and excellent wine advice, compliments to Mauro. We were with the Social Deal. Very good value, unique flavors, and a great menu. Normally, we enjoy dining here, and this time we made a reservation as well. We were really looking forward to a lovely evening, but then we found ourselves standing in front of closed doors, and it turns out the restaurant has been out of business for over a week! It's strange that you can still make a reservation, get a reminder, and they don't even tell you they're closed. So, on a Saturday night at 6:30 pm, you're at Het Hof without a reservation, knocking on other restaurants' doors for a spot. Normally, we have a wonderful evening here, but they deserve a penalty for this. At least put a notice on your website/Google, and even on your door!

We just arrived, the doors closed. Now the neighbors say they've been bankrupt for a week, so they've closed. Spent €75 on them through social deals, and now social deals refuses to offer a solution like a refund or anything. A bunch of bunglers.

Even though we had booked the High Wine through Social Deal, we were told upon arrival that there was no room. Apparently, the tables were only available for dinner guests, not for Social Deal guests. We were advised to request a refund through Social Deal. This was a wedding gift from our children, and we were very much looking forward to it. Unfortunately, it didn't happen. We are extremely disappointed with the service at the Gastrobar.

Enjoyed delicious wines with matching snacks (high wine). Extremely friendly service who told us a lot about the different wines. 🍷🍷 Absolutely worth it!!

One star is still too much for this place. They call themselves a Gastrobar, which they're not even close to being. It stinks terribly, everything is filthy (dust, dirty tables, incredibly dirty restrooms), the food was awful, far too little, and only cheap ingredients. The Social Deal menu would normally cost €57, while they offer the 4-course surprise menu for €40, so that's already a mistake. We got a carrot appetizer and then something with marinated yellow beets. The main course was duck, but I don't like duck. The alternative was vegetarian risotto, which was very salty. The owner didn't do anything with our feedback; I don't think they've ever heard of customer service. Don't go here!!!!

It might have been very nice and atmospheric. But we were standing in front of a closed door with a few other guests who had reservations. Not great when you can't reach anyone.

I discovered this restaurant through the Wine & Food walk, and I'm so glad I did. Lovely place, friendly staff, and good food and wine—what more could you ask for?

Pros: - The location is central. In a historic part of Amersfoort. Cons: - The food, in this case the burger and fries. The quality was incredibly poor for the price. It felt like it came from McDonald's. It's ridiculous to offer this as a luxury restaurant. It's so bad I'll never go back. - We felt the restaurant was very commercial. The waiter recommended a particular sauce for the fries that was much more expensive than, say, mayonnaise.

Ate here yesterday with Social Deal. The food was delicious, and despite the crowds and limited staff, we didn't have to wait long. There were a few downsides, though. With the main course, they said there was nothing else included, so they asked if we wanted fries. We thought that would be nice until we finally got the bill. Fries were €10. There was cheese and truffle mayo on top, but that wasn't mentioned. Looking at the menu online, this dish was €9. The price difference is quite remarkable. Make sure to mention the price when offering it. Furthermore, the wine we ordered arrived twice after the dish was almost finished. The main course was already lukewarm when we received it, so due to the crowds, it probably sat longer than necessary before being served. Again, the food was delicious, but there are still some things to consider.

Food was basic. €10 for a plate of fries with some shaved parmesan and a lick of truffle mayo is ridiculously expensive. The burger was served on an otherwise empty plate. Very poor. The waiter said he would do something about it, but nothing else happened... also the Thai salad with tenderloin tips had little attention paid. Not to be repeated.

Great food, nice atmosphere and service with humor!!

Nice place on the corner of the Hof. Cozy terrace in the summer. Inside it looks good. The cocktails a lot with little alcohol or taste, except a lot of sugars! Large luxury snack board, not very special, prefab stuff. Badly cut hams, waste pieces. A steak tartare with a lot of sinew in it, but especially with a lot of mayonnaise, 2 x fried bitterballen, because why would one be darker than the other.... Not worth 35 euros!

Ordered and reserved for the first time via social deal. What a disappointment. Don't participate in social deal if you can't deliver for that price. Especially if you have such a nice menu. Amuse without taste. 1st dish something with carrots. 2nd dish cold and little taste. Soup was good. Duck too but without side dishes. We had to pay extra for fries.

Ate here with my mother via social deal. They asked in advance if there were any allergies or other wishes, which we did not have. They also politely asked with the main course if we wanted fries, since this was not included. Every dish was delicious and a surprise in terms of taste! Reserved via social deal. Two vegetarian dishes, soup and small piece of duck. Indicated that this was really too little and we were not full. Comments were not listened to. Indicated several times. Finally went to the local Greek to fill our stomachs. In addition, it doesn't look like a gastrobar and the staff walks around in casual clothes. The food we received was tasty. So it's not the chef's fault.

We ended up at a gastrobar through a social deal voucher. The bar really surprised us in a positive way. The welcome was very friendly. The place is very nice and very stylishly decorated. The social deal voucher gave us a four-course menu and a free appetizer for 35 euros p.p. We got very creative, very good and very tasty food. It is recommended for everyone. We also have some tasty original cocktails. The experience was really good. Highly recommended for everyone.

This restaurant is absolutely fantastic! The atmosphere is great, the staff are super friendly and the food is simply to die for. Every bite was a delight and the presentation was beautiful. I can recommend it to everyone!

Delicious food! Been here several times, always good. The new card came into effect last Thursday. We had oysters, quail, lobster spaghetti, tartare, tuna, pumpkin, and for dessert "the cigars". Everything tasted very good. This restaurant is definitely recommended because you can share the dishes and therefore try many different flavors. We'll come by again soon!

A restaurant for people with patience. The food was tasty but patience is a virtue here. We had to wait about 40 minutes for the first drink. The staff worked absolutely hard, so hard that there was little time for extra service when serving the dishes. You really have to make an effort to order drinks. And that's a shame, because it can actually complement the dishes that are served. The hired staff member seemed to be least bothered by the workload of a full restaurant and provided us with the best advice. One tip for the owner of this restaurant; limit the number of tables that can be reserved during the weekend. So that your staff gets more rest and the guests don't wake up at 7:30 PM - need 11:00 PM for 4 tasty courses that are not worth the 40 minute wait per course.

Had a really wonderful evening yesterday. Not only is the atmosphere in the restaurant very nice, the food is also sublime. Really enjoyed it, great flavor combinations. But the host Kevin also provided the ultimate experience, especially with the wine advice and very nice and good service. We will be back soon.

We had a great meal tonight! It is nicely decorated and has attractive lighting. The owner knows his trade and the cook is really good! We discovered this restaurant through Social deal. We had dinner here last week with a Social Deal, a 4-course menu with appetizer; Everything was very tasty and beautifully prepared, the service was excellent. Side note: the main course was purely meat, we had to order fries and lettuce: €10 and €18 were added! The ingredients were quite basic, not really culinary, small quantities, but still very tasty...

Het was echt niet lekker. Ik had een biefstuk en hij was zo taai en niet lekker terwijl ik had gevraagd voor bijna rauw. Mijn vriendin had de spareribs en er stond op de kaart dat het 700 gram was maar eigenlijk was het alleen maar bot. Ook was deze weer erg doorbakken. Ze kwamen nooit langs we moesten lang wachten voor alles. Ook werden we aan de bar gezet wat prima is als er niemand tegen je praat of de hele tijd mee luistert want dat werd erg gedaan door de barman. Het enige wat lekker was het toetje maar die was erg heet dus heb ik mijn tong verbrand (werd ook niet gezegd dat het heet was). GEEN AANRADER WANT HET WAS ECHT NIET HAGGEN!!!!!!!!

What a beautiful, atmospheric bar with delicious, surprising food, fine wines and friendly service. We had a 4 course dinner via Social Deal and were really spoiled. The location on the square with a beautiful terrace, the design of the bar and the special corners create a lot of atmosphere upon entering. Dishes are somewhat Asian oriented and the flavors surprised us. We asked for a matching wine for each course and the owner was able to talk about it in a fun and enthusiastic way. No, it didn't go very quickly at times, but we never had any problems with that. Recommended!!

A lot of money for little special food with mediocre service

We arrived at 10:30 am and had a drink outside, then had a 4-course meal via social deal, and we didn't finish until 9 o'clock. I personally think that waiting 50+ minutes between courses is too long. The food was good for the price, but that's about it.

Eten was matig en veel te duur voor wat je krijgt. Een satéstokje voor €9,00. Bediening wel vriendelijk alleen te weinig personeel waardoor erg lang wachten. Op zich gezellig zitte, erg warm en muziek te luid. En bij nader inzien bleek de rekening toch niet te kloppen, geen zin meer om terug te gaan. Niet onze avond, helaas.

Girlfriend had booked a table for 6 people on 30/08. After sitting for more than half an hour, we had to ask ourselves if we could get a drink. Ordered cocktails, several times they came to the table with the wrong drink. Ended up having to wait an hour and fifteen minutes for the first cocktail. We also came to eat, but we were not offered a menu. We had to ask for that ourselves after more than an hour. In the end there was one card for six people. It seemed like a joke. It was the final straw for us and we booked a table at a restaurant across the street (La Scala). Ultimately we had a delicious meal here and were pampered by the friendly service. So it can also be… Gastrobar: once for me and never again, unfortunately. It looks so nice at first glance and seems to have a lot of potential. Shame! Oh yes, the icing on the cake turned out to be incorrect afterwards. It said one cocktail at 12 euros too much.

Ate here last Saturday via 'spontaneous'. Had a delicious surprise menu with an appetizer beforehand. We were full + they took my friend's allergy into account. Service was attentive, professional and nice. The restaurant is nicely decorated and the chairs and sofas are wonderful! Highly recommended.

We opted for the 4-course surprise menu and were overwhelmed by the chef's creativity and flavor explosions. There was an unpleasant, musty smell. That's not pleasant in a restaurant. The window we sat at was very dirty. Two people serving is not enough. They did their best, but that's about it. Owner(?) stood behind the bar or hung around 1 table. Not a nice atmosphere. Price/quality ratio is poor when you look at what you have to pay and what you get in return. Dishes are nice, but not great. Dorade and banana dessert were very tasty. If this reflects the catering industry in the Netherlands, it will have a difficult time, especially with such prices. We were in court no. 8. There is a business with the same name at no. 16 across the street; it is confusing.

Het is heel gezellig zitten, de bediening is boven gemiddeld en ervaar ik als uitstekend! Het eten is over treffelijk goed, genoeg keus en mooi opgemaakte borden. Helaas jammer dat er bij sommige gerechten geen friet zit en dit als bijgerecht besteld moet worden.

Mooie locatie en goede cocktails maar een slechte keuken op de avond dat wij er waren. Vriendelijk personeel totdat wij, met excuses, één van onze gerechten terugstuurden. Toen werd het allemaal heel genaakt. Het teruggekomen gerecht smaakte nog aangebrand (zelfs de rijst uit de magnetron).

Hippe tent aan misschien wel het gezelligste plein in Amersfoort. We hadden een overheerlijke carpaccio, broodje warme kip en kroketten op brood.prima op smaak alleen er zat 1 boterham bij 2 kroketten, dat is wat weinig. Verder vriendelijke bediening en lekker bier. Prijs viel mee.

Nooit eerder bezocht. Gezellige zaak met diverse verrassende hoekjes waar je rustig kunt zitten. Veel open wijnen verkrijgbaar ( vanaf 6.00 per glas) drank en snacks zijn bovengemiddeld geprijst. 12 bitterballen 17 euro!! Je kunt hier ook eten. Personeel jong met "hipster" uitstraling en vriendelijk.

Shared dining concept gone wrong. We waren met 4. Eerst werden maar 3 van de 4 drankjes gebracht. Daarna werd ook de fles water vergeten. We bestelden 4 gerechtjes om te beginnen. Ook daarvan werd er een vergeten. We kregen geen borden of bestek, daar moesten we om vragen. Het eten zelf was matig. Buns die zelfs voor de liefhebber van pikant aan de stevige kant waren (stond er niet bij). Wij hebben na de eerste ronde besloten het erbij te laten en onze honger elders te stillen.

Vooropgesteld, je zit er leuk en de bediening is heel vriendelijk en gastvrij. Maar het eten was niet goed, we hebben zes gerechten gehad: - De oesters, waren erg lekker! drie bereidingen, was top - Kip gyoza, was niet vies maar weinig smaak en meer een blurry van vulling - Buikspek: zoveel saus en veel smaken dat er van het vlees niks over bleef, vrij ondefinieerbare smaken - Bloemkool, zou 3 bereidingen moeten zijn maar de overeenkomst tussen de drie was dat het smaakte naar half gekookte bloemkool die je in de koelkast zet met wat azijn en een scheut geitenkaas. Dit was echt geen goed gerecht terwijl bloemkool heel smaakvol kan zijn - Coquilles: waren lekker - Bao bun van paddenstoelen: ondefinieerbare smaken en het broodje was taai en droog, niet zoals een verse bun hoort te zijn Daarnaast is het een concept waarbij je in kleine porties besteld, maar zit je per rondje wel een half uur te wachten. Shared dining is leuk maar het concept is gewoon niet goed werkend. Hopelijk weten ze te verbeteren in het eten, want aan de vriendelijke bediening en de gezellige plek licht het zeker niet.

Afgelopen week hier voor het eerst gegeten. Sfeer en bediening prima. Wij kozen voor een 4 gangen verrassingsmenu. Was geweldig. Chef-kok kwam zelf ook nog even langs om wat uitleg over de gerechten te geven. Gaan hier zeker weer terugkomen, een aanrader.

Nice place for interesting dinner, different, good combination with wines and courses, ribeye with the wine on the picture was very nice. Comfortable seats, place is also a bar so people also enter for just drinks later in the evening. Dedicated waiter for the table could have improved service.

Leuk ingericht restaurant, fijne bediening. De gerechten waren lekker maar niet bijzonder. Ik had er veel meer van verwacht en zeker de prijs/kwaliteit verhouding was voor mij zoek.

Leuke tent , prima bediening . Echter prijs kwaliteit klopt niet . Sommige gerechten hadden quisine prijskaartje, maar waren echt fabrieksmatig.

Heerlijke bites en super geholpen door de ober. Bracht het met flair en veel verstand van wijnen. Uiteindelijk gekozen voor een overheerlijke chardonnay, de Ranch32. Aanrader! Komen hier zeker terug :)

Wat een leuke nieuwe plek voor Amersfoort!! Overheerlijke cocktails. Geen slappe dronk, maar gewoon goed van smaak. Mooie deco. Wij komen terug.

Wat een heerlijke ervaring. Wij hadden het 5 gangen chef's verassingsmenu. Dochter trakteerde voor haar verjaardag. Het was 1 groot feest. Genoten van eerst de heerlijke amuses en daarna de 5 gangen. De één was nog lekkerder dan de ander. Ook het personeel was uitmuntend. Voor ons zeker voor herhaling vatbaar!! Dank jullie wel!

Meine Freundin hatte vorher im Internet gesucht und dieses Restaurant vorgeschlagen. Wir haben diese Entscheidung keine Sekunde bereut. Die verschieden kleinen Gerichte zum Teilen waren ein Genuss bis zum letzten Moment. Die Weinkarte lässt auch keine Wünsche offen. Alles in allem absolut empfehlenswert

Absoluut fantastisch! Toevallig "gevonden" en een super avond gehad. Alles, maar dan ook alles klopte: het eten, de wijn (netjes op temperatuur), de bediening, de uitleg bij het eten, timing, etc. Alleen maar positief, positef en nog eens positief!!! Niet een echt grote kaart, maar wat er op staat, is erg lekker. (heb alleen de kikkerbilletjes niet besteld) Een aanwinst voor de stad!!
