We had a great time at Gochu for lunch. The staff was extremely nice and caring and the food absolutely delicious. The classic tteokbokki were a bit too hot for me but it’s on me for not paying attention to the mention « gochujang sauce » on the menu. Otherwise the meat was perfectly cooked and seasoned and the corndogs really tasty ! The place was also well decorated I found it really cute. We’ll come back on our next stop in Rotterdam !

We decided to try Gochu after seeing all the TikTok videos, but unfortunately we were quite disappointed in the food quality. We ordered the lunch special combo (tteokbokki with a corndog) for €14,50. The breading on the corndog was very thick and seemed undercooked, and my friend mentioned the hotdog inside tasted like a basic supermarket one. The cheese also wasn’t very flavorful. The sauce was nice on both the corndog and the tteokbokki, but the rice cakes were cooked far too long and had lost their texture. We didn’t feel like the price quality ratio was worth it, as we’ve been to better Korean places. We expected the place to be more crowded considering how ‘popular’ it looks online, but we were the only ones there.

Ordered via UberEats. Waited more than 1.5 hours, then called to ask what time my order would arrive. From the restaurant they did not know what order it was, the phone conversation turned into mumbling with a colleague to hang up. Then I called back myself and was told that the order was coming. More than an hour later still nothing delivered. Fortunately I was able to cancel my order via ubereats, but what a disgrace

10/10, delicious food, especially the corndog hmmm and oh yes, the waffle fries with beef too pffff, cozy atmosphere, both inside and on the terrace outside, nice staff, enough parking in the street and other places nearby, great location, highly recommended every time!

Delicious food! Usually you don't have to make a reservation and you can just sit comfortably. The food is very tasty and nice and spicy. The service is very good and the atmosphere is cozy. Recommended: the corn dogs and Tteobokki classic! The corn dogs are nice and crispy with a spicy sauce, the tteobokki is soft and spicy, with super tasty fish cake here and there and lots of cheese!

The staff was super friendly, and they really pay attention!! Its a very nice location and the food was terrific, the pink teokbokki was the perfect spice level and the sausage paired well. The pickles radish was perfectly sour and sweet! We also tried the bulgogi loaded fries and the cheese w bulgogi mix is goooood! And the chicken waffle was gone within minutes, it was very tasty and nicely crispy. So will definitely come again :)

Had a lovely meal here with family. Salad with crispy chicken, gochujang beef on cheese fries, golden bun, corn dogs sushi and chicken corn dog, except for soft ice cream, everything was tasty. We will definitely come back!

Ordered via home delivery. They accidentally delivered 1 wrong item, but after calling, they delivered the right item within 20 minutes. Food was good, just not quite to our taste.

From the outside it doesn't look like much. Inside it is very small, a little cozier than the outside, but very cold. We sat with our coats on because the front door was open. My son had a stomach ache from the hot chocolate. The Korean fried chicken with lemon flavor was disappointing, but the Korean fried chicken with Korean chili flavor was okay. The waffle fries are just what you buy at the supermarket. I expected it to be a little more special. The beef and cheese waffle fries were okay. The snack box was disappointing. Apparently it's a hit on tiktok, I didn't know it. But I don't understand the hit. I won't go there again. But I don't necessarily advise against it either. Maybe it's just not my thing. The milkshake is tasty. And if you have any leftover food, you can take it home.

OVERRATED! We had to wait outside for a little over half an hour because they don't take reservations. Everyone in line came there because it is popular on TikTok, but it actually has nothing special. The food was decent, not really worth the price. Service was very slow and not as friendly as it should be. Even when you call them they have a hard time answering!

The golden beef bulgogi bun was love at first sight, was delicious and looked beautiful. The corndog was also entertaining, unfortunately personally not a fan of the tteakbokki. The chicken wings with Korean chili sauce are also highly recommended. Pleasant cozy atmosphere, you must have been here!

Terrible… We waited almost 2 hours for our food. We had chosen a time because of an appointment I had. I can understand that it is a little too late. But 2 hours late? I couldn't find their phone number anywhere. Finally my friend found it somewhere. Called the shop and asked where our food is? It's not ready yet... When it finally arrived it was much late. Missed half the order… My friend then had to wait another 30/45 minutes for his food to be delivered. We received a small can of coke as an apology. The food was not good, and certainly not the 2 hour waiting time good. The fries were really bad, the burger meh, after waiting 2+ hours it was the worst burger I have ever had. I really regretted ordering here. Never again

Friendly staff and super tasty food!

We didn't expect the vibe of the place to be like this. We liked it a lot. We arrived just to order the midday promotion/combo (teobbokki with a corn dog). The portions were not very big but they were good. Fast service. There were only 3/4 tables. You have to go to the entrance to pay.

Very good food for an affordable price! We tried the mozzarella corndog (gooey goodness!), the pink tteokbokki (perfect texture and spiciness), bulgogi cheesy fries (crispy, meaty, flavorful) and finished with a delicious white chocolate and coffee milkshake 🥰🤤 really cozy spot with great service. A hidden gem!

Can't call this Korean food. Zero use of Korean spices. Terrible food, soggy tteokbokki that tastes like nothing. And salads straight from the Albert Heijn packaging. Just don't do it!!!

Very dissatisfied with Gochu Rotterdam – Stay away, the hype is definitely not worth it! We had high expectations for Gochu Rotterdam, but unfortunately we were disappointed on almost every level. The food was bad and the service even worse. The waiter, named Hendro, was downright unprofessional and even argued with us when we expressed our disappointment. After just two bites we already knew that the food was impossible. We immediately reported this to a young waitress, but no one bothered to come to our table to resolve the matter further. Instead, Hendro hovered over us at the till, insisting we pay and questioning us about our previous experiences with street food, as if we were the problem and not the food. The chicken was hard and cold, and the corn dogs even made us feel nauseous. The food remained largely untouched, yet we still had to pay €52.80 for something that was simply inedible. Hendro tried to dismiss our dissatisfaction with the excuse that it is “just street food” and that we should not expect much from it. However, we regularly eat at Korean street food joints and have never had such a bad experience. What really disappointed us was the lack of any form of compensation or alternative. Hendro claimed that he was “not authorized” to help us and that there was no point of contact. This is incomprehensible and unacceptable for a catering business that should strive for quality and service. If you guys are considering eating at Gochu, save yourselves the disappointment. There are much better Korean street food experiences in Rotterdam, where you are treated as a guest and the quality of the food matches the price. I hope for a response and a refund of our amount soon. If not, we will be forced to further share this bad experience on social media.

Chicken wings were good. Tteokbokki was sweet in taste, expectation was with more gochujang which would make it red but was more orange, rice cakes were soft. Mocktails were tasty. Bulgogi loaded fries were good. I thought it was strange that during the service the plates were put in a pile and we had to put them down for each person ourselves. When we asked to pack the food, the food was not packed for us, but we were given a food container in which we had to put the food ourselves. do, which is also unusual. We have toys for children.

The food was delicious, their corndogs and tteokbokki is to die for and not to mention the cheese fries. They are delish, went to Rotterdam multiple times just to eat here and even booked a hotel to be close to it the last time we visited. The staff is really nice and the new grandpa that works here and the owner are very kind and really make our experiences top-tier. We keep on going there and trying the dishes on their menu so the review will get updated every time we go based on the experience and foods we tried. Note: they don’t do take away and if you go around lunch times they have a deal make sure to check it out as it can save you money too

We traveled from far to get to GoChu and it did not disappoint us. The food tasted very good, for me especially the Golden Beef bulgogi Bun. The food is halal but they do serve alcoholic drinks. We also asked to adjust the spice level on the tteokbokki and they complied, which was a huge relief. The Corn dogs tasted very good and it wasn't soggy at all. The Atmosphere is very calming and chill if you go to a less busy time. The Owner is very friendly and nice, the staff is polite as well, especially the elderly sir that has joined in recently. Each time we visit Rotterdam, GoChu is our Must-Go-To. The only down part is that it's a little bit pricey (but it's not like you eat there every day) and that there is no take away. We can't wait come back again!

We had several dishes that were delicious. Except for the Busan chicken waffle. The chicken was full of pieces, which were chewy(like chewing gum) other pieces were super hard. One and all, not edible. This is also indicated twice. While asking if everything was OK. To which, I honestly received no response... In the end I paid the full amount for something, which 80 percent of the time was not consumed.

I've been here several times and I think everything is really delicious 🥰 last time I had the beef bulgogi sandwich. Beautiful presentation and good taste! I think it's a really nice tent! Staff does their job, could indeed be a bit friendlier. But I still don't think they are unfriendly! I would love to come back!

Although the restaurant looks nice in photos, the food was very disappointing. Even though the menu didn't appeal to me, I decided to eat anyway, but I regret it. The corn dog was bland and the beef with waffle fries and cheddar cheese was topped with too much cheddar, which made me nauseous. It's a shame that you can't order normal fries or rice and that the chicken is not boneless. The restaurant is not worth the price you pay. The owner was unfriendly, but the staff was okay. The restaurant is very small and from the outside you can't tell it is a restaurant; there are more seats outside than inside.

I was so looking forward to Gochu! The corn dog mozzarella was really delicious!! But unfortunately I found the fried chicken disappointing. I didn't expect it to be with bone, this wasn't on the menu either. The Korean chili sauce variant was tasty. The seoul ranch variant was really too salty for my taste.

Influenced by TikTok, I went to GoChu. A fun experience to do if you like Korean Street Food, but it was quite bland and the spiciness was somewhat disappointing. Everything else looked nice and the staff was very friendly!

The ranch was sour and lemony. The corn dog batter was a weird texture which made me sick. After 10 waffle fries I started to feel sick because of the oil and batter. The spritz left a sour aftertaste. But the service and atmosphere was great though. Nice people. Great girl

I miss snack bar grill Rotterdam North. The whole neighborhood is ruined, the boys used to just stand on the street in front of the grill room. Now it should be “neat”.

Amazing corn dogs. I recommend booking in advance because it’s a small place but the atmosphere is really nice. we had a massive craving for corndog and even though the restaurant was full the stuff made us the table. It was very sweet of them.

The staff was downright unfriendly, rude and not helpful at all. The food was terrible: ice cold and the cheese wasn't even melted, as if it had been rotting for hours. It didn't taste fresh at all and was anything but tasty. The chicken was poorly cooked and still seemed raw on the inside. The corn dog was not only small, but downright disgusting. This eatery is an absolute must. €109.50 to the trash! 0 stars if it was possible.

The owner is worthless, not customer friendly and very rude (an attitude though) + The food (chicken) arrived cold. Only after eating a few bites of my fries did I notice that there was hair in it. I have become very dissatisfied and nauseous. I won't be eating here again! The food looks delicious at first glance, but the content is nothing! Service from the two ladies was better than the owner himself. My compliments to the ladies who can manage with such an owner.

Everything was absolutely delightful! Firstly I wpuld like to start with the fact that they have vegetarian options and everything is Halal here. They do not serve pork here. We have been to multiple korean restaurants before, but this was the best Tteokbokki we ever had. By far! We asked for extra spicy, and they served! It was amazing, honestly! The snack platter was a great fusion of korean and dutch. I really liked how big the portion was. It was just right. I have never had Gimmari before, I would really recommend it. It was also in the snack platter, so that one is a must-order. My virgin passionfruit mojito was also great. They could have used less syrup as it was just a bit too sweet. But the taste was good so I didn't mind. We are outside, but the inside also looks great! The employee asked if she should turn on the heatlamp for us. They really thought of everything here. Another example is the ladies' room. They have space to change diapers, and there is an Ikea Tossig available for small kids so they can use a regular toilet. Amazing! Lastly, we went here by public traffic. The restaurant is on a walking distance from Eudokiaplein. Very doable. Tldr; go here.

We went to Goshu to try out the famous Bulgogi bun, a small brioche bread filled with ribeye... And it was so delicious! Definitely worth the visit.

Insta hype, not really special. Food was nothing special, products seem low budget, therefore the portions are small and the prices high for the value for money. Great atmosphere, nice staff, food still in experimental phase, corn dog dough was worthless and fell apart. Chicken was free range and cheap with broken bones.

I'm shocked when I see some reviews, because I have already come by 4 times (?) to enjoy the food. The owner is super sweet and always has a nice conversation as long as it is not too busy, also very patient as I once accidentally broke a plate and he did not reimburse me for it (he was very reassuring). For the price they are very generous with the tteokbokki, I have gotten very little for what I paid in many restaurants and at Gochu I am always 120% full when I leave. Everything is halal (many sauces even have a halal label), but there is one thing: the disco dip for the hot chocolate does contain carmine, but that can happen, it is in almost everything, so be careful if you have allergies. Once again the tteokbokki is really tasty and very warm, the corn dogs are also tasty and really huge. I'm hesitant to try the rest because I find it a bit scary lol. The owner is really like a cool uncle and I can't imagine that he would rip off customers like the reviews claim. It has a very quiet atmosphere and the toilets are always very clean!!

A friend and I have been influenced by TikTok again. It looked super tasty and beautiful online. Once I arrived, I saw the enormous crowds. We were on the waiting list for iftar while waiting we were offered a date. After an hour we were assigned a table (no problems with this). There was only one lady taking orders. I ordered the food and the girl seemed inexperienced. When she asked if everything was OK, I indicated that the food was inedible. She didn't really respond or offer a solution. I looked around and to my surprise I saw everyone sitting at their table disappointed. I asked the table next to me if the food was disappointing, to which she replied yes. You could still taste the dough in the corn dog and the fries with cheese sauce were cold (€9.30). The chicken was too sweet and dry inside. I forced myself to eat a few because I had been fasting all day, but apart from that I didn't like it. We are very disappointed, especially because we came all the way from Arnhem. It looks good, but unfortunately not all that glitters is gold. The staff was friendly and the interior was beautiful, but very cramped. I don't recommend it, especially after a full day of fasting. In any case, for me it is not worth repeating!

How can you screw up Korean fried chicken so badly?

My husband and I had food poisoning from the food we ate yesterday, we ordered almost everything on the menu on it was very limited. We spent the whole night throwing up and having pain in our stomach, Very bad Food not fresh att All, service was also very unprofessional, stay away from this place

The restaurant and the food look good and nice. Attention has been paid to the interior and appearance of most dishes. It's a pity that the restaurant is so cramped and that the bench was not clean when we took a seat at the table. It wasn't that busy, so it could have been cleaned. The waitress seemed inexperienced and friendly. The girl who helped us wasn't necessarily the sharpest knife in the kitchen drawer. She didn't understand many things. Although she did her best and remained friendly. It seemed like she was taking orders on her own, so it sometimes took a while for someone to come by or for something to be delivered. Consider an extra bag of sugar for the tea that was already gone 10 minutes later. In terms of food, some things were tasty and some things were less so. Personally, I found some things too sweet, such as the corn dog made from chicken and even the churros simply had too much sugar. Of course that is subjective. Someone else might find it super tasty. We had ordered all the chickens, among other things. Chicken was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Unfortunately, not all sauces were to the taste. I thought the bulgogi with cheddar cheese fries was tasty and worth repeating. All in all, I thought the food we ordered was okay. Not perfect and not bad. Just okay.

Have you come all the way from The Hague and they say the kitchen has been closed for half an hour? Google says that the kitchen closes at 8:00 PM and I was there at 7:45 PM... there was no room even though there was a table available when I entered. No form of customer service to see what they can do for you, you are simply refused and completely ignored by what you have to say and that you have come all the way from another city. It's sad that customer friendliness is hard to find these days. You must hate your job if you treat new customers like this. Rude, derogatory and wanting to get you out the door as quickly as possible. I'll never come here again anyway. Also special: you cannot make a reservation at this restaurant, but a free table is not available because yes, 'reserved' 😂. At least that is what the sign on the table indicates.

We had corn dog with mozzarella, unfortunately it was not melted very well on the inside because there was too much dough. So I had a big fat corn dog. Daughter didn't like the outside very much, corn dog was also dipped in sugared cornflakes. We also ordered bulgogi, which was very tasty, but there was not enough meat in it. This is compared to 2 tablespoons of bulgogi :-p but the chicken with honey has a surprising taste, it was really nice. But the tastiest of all was the cocktail with passion fruit <3 I really enjoyed it. Good service, very small but cozy and nice decoration. The green chairs were also very comfortable. Everything was Halal, very smart, that way you attract more customers. Oppaaaa we will definitely be back <3<3<3

I think this place is very overrated. The food is drained with oil and the restaurant is small. The restaurant is not necessarily very clean, for example, you can see all kinds of grease stains on the tables and chairs. You cannot make a reservation, so the waiter made us wait outside in the rain for half an hour.

As a Korean, I'd say this place is not authentic at all. Also mostly the service was terrible. We asked for a table for a couple of people and if we can have a seat. But then the owner yelled at us, telling us "you can't tell me what to do or how I should run the business as I'm the owner of this restaurant" excuse you...? HAHAHAHAAHAHA. Worst service ever! I wonder if this place is owned by Korean anyway lol
