The quality of the food here is a real low point and the service is too slow. The location is an industrial estate, so it is too expensive.

We had another delicious meal here tonight, just as we have come to expect. The table was in a quiet but cozy spot, as requested, so it was nice that this was taken into account despite the Saturday crowds. We will definitely be back!

⭐ 1 star is actually way too generous. What a terrible experience at Het Gouden Huis in Almere. You go out to eat to have a nice evening, but here I got exactly the opposite. In my experience, the food was undercooked, and to top it all off, a dead fly came out of my food. Yes, you read that right: a DEAD FLY. 🤢 From that moment on, naturally, I didn't want anything more of that dish. My appetite had completely vanished. But apparently, that wasn't enough. Because where other restaurants might ask: “What went wrong? Is everything to your liking?”, here the question seemed to be mainly: “How can we add extra money to the bill?” I left one mushroom from a dish with ten mushrooms, and they nonchalantly charged me an extra €2 for it. 😂 One mushroom! You would almost think that mushroom was made of gold. And then the customer service… unfortunately, I couldn't find any of that anywhere. The tall, thin guy with glasses, in particular, spoke in a way that I found particularly disrespectful and unfriendly. You can simply ask a customer who leaves food uneaten why. Maybe there is something wrong with the dish? Maybe the customer isn't satisfied? In my opinion, that is called customer friendliness. But no, they prefer to charge extra costs immediately. Hygiene? Dead fly in the food. Quality? Food that, in my experience, was not cooked through properly. Customer friendliness? Nowhere to be found. Service? A huge disappointment. Extra costs? Apparently, they do know how to handle those. The irony is that, in my opinion, a restaurant actually wants customers to leave satisfied and come back. My experience was exactly the opposite: I left with a bad experience and the certainty that I will never return here. To me, it didn't feel like a hospitable dining experience at all, but rather as if you are just a bill onto which as many extras as possible must be added. This was the last time for me. I really never need to go inside here again. A restaurant can be ever so beautiful, but if, as a customer, you find a dead fly in your food, are subsequently faced with extra costs, and experience unfriendly communication on top of that, then that is simply the end of it for me. Het Gouden Huis? For me, mostly a golden bill for an evening I want to forget as quickly as possible. Absolutely not recommended based on my experience.

We really enjoyed coming here. In fact, we looked forward to going out to eat with our 3 sons. But everything tasted the same. The sushi was certainly not fresh; it even tasted like it came from a supermarket, so pre-packaged. Are we spoiled, were we not feeling well, or were they really not having their best evening? We ate fewer rounds and drank more. The price was definitely not worth it. It is a real shame, but we won't be returning anytime soon.

We used to get sushi here almost every week, but this time it was very disappointing. The sashimi was sliced ​​wafer-thin and there was hardly any fish in the sushi. I have eaten there often, but I did notice some changes over the last few years. Like having to pay an extra 1 euro for a scoop of ice cream; that wasn't the case a few years ago. If you are with 6 people, you end up spending 6 euros more on that scoop of ice cream. I also think it's a shame that drinks are not included. At most wok restaurants, drinks are included, along with multiple desserts including ice cream, etc. It seems to me like, just raise the menu price by 1 euro, and then don't charge extra for ice cream, for example. You wouldn't be bothered by a 1 euro increase on the price list; a 0.50 cent increase could be added to every dish, for example. Then, with about 5 people at the table, they would already make a 5 euro profit per person with a 1 euro increase. It seems to me that a scoop of ice cream should be included to offset that. My son has been going there for years too, but he doesn't mind because he doesn't like ice cream or desserts. Furthermore, I think the food is superrr, the service, and the price are great, but adjusting the price list to include drinks and desserts seems like a better option for some customers. I travel from Amsterdam to the Gouden Huis because, in terms of taste, I consider this restaurant the best. It’s certainly not about paying 1 euro for a scoop of ice cream, but unlimited means unlimited food, drinks, and desserts; that’s how it is at most wok restaurants. I hope this will be adjusted on the price list. For example, change 45 euros to 50 euros. With 10 customers, that’s a profit of 50 euros, with 20 customers 100 euros, etcetera. But it does make the all-inclusive option more attractive.

We have tried many restaurants, but we always return here with pleasure. It feels like coming home. The food is delicious, the staff consists of lovely, warm, and friendly people, and the atmosphere is always pleasant. We have never had to wait long for a table or for the food. The service is excellent time after time. Lovely people in a place that exudes quality and a good feeling. Highly recommended!

When you walk past, you think meh…. But it really turns out to be a gem. Friendly service and they take your coat! I was eating the ice cubes out of my glass (Yummy) when the waiter gave me a full glass of ice cubes with a spoon; that’s just great!!

During our visit to restaurant Gouden Huis, the experience started off disappointingly. Upon entering, we were immediately informed that the kitchen would be closing soon, even though this had not been indicated in the reservation beforehand. Additionally, we had requested a quiet spot, but were seated by the door, where it was noticeably cold. The first round of dishes was served quickly, but there was a significant delay during the second round. To avoid this, we decided to order multiple dishes at once. Ultimately, it took a long time for the food to arrive again, after which multiple rounds were served simultaneously. As a result, our table became overcrowded, without the staff clearing away used plates in between. Due to a lack of space, we placed a few empty plates on an adjacent table, whereupon a staff member addressed us in an unfriendly and unprofessional manner. Shortly afterward, another unpleasant situation arose when a staff member wanted to serve extra dishes while we were still finishing the previous round. When we indicated that we wanted to wait a moment, instead of understanding, an argument was started, during which the blame was placed on us. This contributed significantly to a negative atmosphere and ruined the evening for us. In addition, there were several disturbing factors in the restaurant. For instance, at one point, there was an unpleasant smell of smoke and grilling. Also, some staff members sat down at a table behind us, where they were noisy and continued talking and shouting, even after we had asked if they could be a bit quieter. Finally, the experience was further worsened when a staff member, while we were still eating and literally had food in our mouths, wanted to take our plates away with the remark that we were “full.” This was perceived as highly inappropriate and disrespectful. Although the food was of good quality, fresh, and flavorful, the service was substandard and the treatment of guests unprofessional. For this reason, we will not return to this restaurant.

For several years I have been buying takeaway sets only, I have eaten in several Chinese restaurants in the Netherlands and this is definitely the best, nothing is sweetened, always fresh, there is a level of customer care, therefore the highest rating.

A subpar all-you-can-eat sushi place. Some of the sushi is clearly not prepared to order. Otherwise, the dishes are nothing special. Their Chinese takeout, on the other hand, is much better.

The food is good, but the drink prices are outrageous. €5.40 for a sweet white wine is truly outrageous. It's strange that you have to pay extra for certain dishes, even though the price per person is already quite high. In short, eating here is very pricey and beyond most people's means, which is a shame.

Ordered dishes, but it took a very long time even though it wasn't busy. What a disappointment! The food was lacking flavor, poorly seasoned noodles, and dry babi pangang bacon. The teriyaki chicken was hard, probably from a microwave. We won't be going back...it's a shame. The price-quality ratio is really out of whack.

What a charming location this has become. The service is truly excellent, thanks to Jordan. After half an hour, we still hadn't received our order. The entire team immediately followed up, and the manager even came by a few times to ask if everything was to our liking. Yes, it was, and the food is delicious. We'll be back on Boxing Day. I had a lovely meal with friends at Het Gouden Huis. I'd last been there about 15 years ago, and it had been on my wish list to dine there again for quite some time. Finally, there was a good reason. The food was delicious. The sushi and meat dishes are what I remember most. The dishes are comparable to what you can get at similar AYCE restaurants. That's just good, but not exceptional. What really stood out to me, however, were the efficient and friendly staff. They're all fantastic! Empty bowls were quickly cleared, and we didn't have to wait long for our orders. And they knew what they were serving. A minor drawback was the dessert. The red velvet cake was smaller than an average dice. That felt a bit meager, although we laughed about it because we'd only ordered one, intending to share it. All in all, a "more than adequate" experience. If it were up to me, my next visit won't be for another 15 years.

The food is always delicious, consistently high quality, and there's plenty of choice. Always plenty, and the staff are very friendly and young. Truly top-notch service! The only downside is that the tables for two are so close together that you can't have a private conversation. I once had a very noisy couple next to me, making it almost impossible to hear my table partner. And once, two heavy smokers were there, and it was so disgusting. It almost tastes like your own food tastes of smoke.

"The customer is king," a well-known saying they don't know at the Golden House. Tip: listen to your customers' complaints and find a solution together instead of starting an argument. Utterly antisocial!

The food was good and the service was friendly, but otherwise, it wasn't a pleasant experience. We waited about 20 minutes for three pieces of sushi, and then another 20 to 25 minutes for pre-made mini cakes (which still hadn't arrived, so we paid and left). When we expressed our concern, the employee didn't seem sympathetic at all, but immediately became defensive. We didn't receive an apology for the inconvenience; instead, we just got a "I don't care, just pay and leave," so that's what we did. See you never again!

My favorite sushi restaurant in Almere! I eat here very regularly and it never disappoints. Delicious all-you-can-eat food without feeling like you're in a junkyard. The food is good, but they could add or change some of the menu items. Similar restaurants offer a beef stew, for example. Otherwise, the atmosphere is pleasant.

Always fun and good, and one of our favorites in Almere. The price-quality ratio is excellent. You have to order yourself, but you quickly get used to it. Definitely worth it for sushi and Asian food.

We order from Het Goude Huis once or twice a month. I recently discovered that home delivery is 15% more expensive than pickup, even though there are no delivery charges. A monthly menu for 5 or 6 people costs around 80 euros at Rosé Garden, also in Lelystad, 56 euros, so quite a big difference. However, the food at both places is excellent. At Rose Karren, you get a bit more meat, and the noodles are bigger.

Fantastic dining experience. I have to say the Thai food was absolutely phenomenal. Although the restaurant was completely full the staff did great to attend our needs. Congrats to the chefs and waiters who worked extra hard to give such a quality of service but also the highest quality in the dishes that were served.

It was our first time here, and definitely not our last!

The all-you-can-eat concept works perfectly here thanks to the convenient iPad ordering system. There were two of us, so 10 pieces per round, and everything was served surprisingly quickly. The location was perfect for us and made the whole evening an extra special experience. All in all, this restaurant is an absolute must for anyone who loves sushi and good service. We've been coming here for years now and it's always great! Not really an all-you-can-eat fan, but here they clearly make a difference in everything! The runners are friendly and attentive, and the management isn't overly pushy but works incredibly hard and pays attention to their guests. Tip... although they do everything they can to get you a table, it's definitely helpful to make a reservation on the weekend 😉

We come here often and normally there is nothing wrong but this time we had a tablet that was working rotten. When we ordered the friedchicken twice, 2 chicken soups came. When you were in the order list, there were also 2 chicken soups. The thing you chose changed into a completely different order. After indicating that the iPad was functioning vaguely, they would get a new one. The new one turned out to be the same because the same damage was at the top left of the screen. The woman started giving completely different things to tr, did not want to hear what we were saying and could not even speak proper Dutch. What a crazy person she was. I would advise against it people.

Good service and a great atmosphere. Some dishes were a little less, but most were delicious. We have never seen how thoroughly the tables and chairs were cleaned after use as here! If that says anything about the hygiene in this restaurant, then that's fine. A downside was that, even though the restaurant was not yet completely full, there was almost no parking space left.

Excellent Japanese / Chinese all you can eat restaurant, on the Palmpolstraat on the edge of Almere. The restaurant covers two floors (large downstairs and smaller upstairs). We had a beautiful and relaxing place on the top floor. The staff was very hospitable and friendly (we received an extensive explanation). Ordering is done via a tablet. You can choose 5 dishes per person from the very wide range at a time. What we liked was that the dishes were served one after the other quickly and at the right times. The ample parking space in front of the business is also ideal.
