The food was good and beautifully presented. There was also a great show at 9:00 PM, which was a pleasant surprise. Unfortunately, we were seated in a spot with a constant cold draft. We asked if we could sit somewhere else, but that wasn't possible. The music was also way too loud. It felt like eating in a disco. We couldn't hear each other, which made the experience less enjoyable. It was a fun experience, but I won't be back anytime soon.

Tonight, I went in for drinks and a bite for the first time. First, we had to wait about 15 minutes before being helped. We even had to call the server to be helped. After calling and waving a few times, we got her attention. Then, she took our order very hastily, without eye contact. After waiting an hour for appetizers, we asked her about the order. I suspect the appetizers weren't included in the order. Then, we waited another 30 minutes for SNACKS. When we got up to leave, the appetizers arrived at our table. We didn't accept the appetizers, and luckily, someone else helped us. This server clearly has experience in the hospitality industry. And he ruined a really nice evening for me. This is the first and last time I'll be coming here. Annoying, because it seemed like a really nice place. The server in question is a slightly tanned woman with dark curly hair, wears glasses, and has a cross tattoo on the left side of her neck behind her ear. I'm describing her appearance CLEARLY so there's no confusion about who I'm talking about. I'm hoping she won't make the experience seem unpleasant to others.

We had a team outing of more than 10 people and the service was absolutely amazing. We had a 4 course meal and drinks. Great energy and professionalism from Ashley and Imke even when it got busy. Manukiel is such a vibe ! The performer has a stunning voice and great performance!! They kept us going until the end even when we got tipsy 😏 Thank you lots!

We visited Grace for a birthday—a large, nicely dressed group—but felt we were treated with outright neglect, possibly due to our younger age. We were promised seating twice, only to be turned away abruptly. Crucially, our drink orders never arrived. When we decided to leave after being completely ignored, staff attempted to make us pay for the drinks we never received. We successfully refused to pay the fraudulent charge. The experience was unprofessional, unwelcoming, and ruined our celebration. Management needs to seriously address their floor staff's poor attitude, service standards, and billing practices. Avoid.

Went to the ladies' night yesterday (November 27th)! What an experience, such a fun evening, and the service was truly fantastic! We had Ashley as our waitress, and she was so great! Compliments!

Grace is a restaurant in Rotterdam with a somewhat Moulin Rouge-esque interior and a club-like atmosphere. It looks beautiful inside, which certainly promises something. Unfortunately, it was disappointing. The food was very subpar. I went there for dinner with my daughter after shopping. We ordered "24-piece sushi" and asked which sushi would be served. We were told it was the chef's choice. We ended up with 24 pieces of sushi, some of which were filled with a piece of chicken, but the majority—about twenty pieces—consisted of only cucumber pieces and a scallion. It was presented festively and beautifully, but the sushi itself was really not what you'd expect for €57. I also ordered the salmon tartare with avocado. Instead of salmon tartare with avocado, I received four small profiteroles with a kind of salmon mousse in them. I honestly thought it had been served incorrectly. Since I can't eat flour products, I asked if this was correct. It was precisely for that reason that I had ordered a special tartare. I was then told that this tartare was in a pastry case, but the tuna tartare on the menu was actually served as tartare. I explained that I can't eat flour products and asked if I could have the tuna tartare. The dish was removed, and I was then given the tuna tartare. It was soaked in a liquid; you couldn't really taste the tuna, and it was a bit off-putting, which is often not a good sign with raw fish. I gave up after a few bites. When the bill arrived, both the salmon tartare and the tuna tartare were on the bill. When I explained that I'd received the tuna instead of the salmon tartare, the manager came to our table. He explained that if you order and eat something, you have to pay for it. I explained that the dish hadn't been eaten but had been returned to the kitchen. He then replied that it had been ordered, and that therefore I still had to pay for it. Then a discussion arose about the fact that, according to him, the chef could prepare a tartare dish according to his own wishes. This included profiteroles. I explained that I had specifically ordered tartare because this is usually raw fish without its casing. It was an awkward and unpleasant experience, and definitely not service-minded. According to the manager, I should have understood that the tartare would be mousse-like in a pastry case, because the menu listed pani puri (?). Of course, we ultimately just paid, but the whole experience left a bad taste in our mouths—literally and figuratively. Aside from this incident, the food was simply not good. It's a nice place for a drink, but if you're looking for a good meal, you'd better walk past it.

Came here for a drink with friends and I was very satisfied with the service and cocktail. It's good to know that their outside area is also heated so if it is a bit cold it's actually quite enjoyable to sit outside as well. The waitress was really friendly and the service was relatively fast as well. We asked for the regular Pornstar Martini even though it wasn't on the menu they still made it for us. It was a nice cocktail, very standard.

The host first told me we'd be given less time. When I asked why, she lied, claiming we were an hour late. When I provided proof that we were on time, she didn't know what to say, so someone else came over. She said they were "double booked" and initially just left it at that. (And that was apparently just our problem.) We didn't get an apology, nothing. Very poor. After I pointed out this was strange, we were only given fifteen minutes more. Our shared appetizers also arrived at the same time as our main course, even though we'd specified what we wanted as an appetizer and main course. It arrived like a bullet train within 10 minutes. It was clear that there was a "you have to eat quickly and get out quickly" vibe. Half of it was already cold by the time we could start eating because it was too much at once. When we asked for the bill, we had to wait 20 minutes before we could finally pay. The atmosphere was very negative; people at the table in front of us were also complaining. We clearly weren't the only ones having a bad experience. It's a shame because I was really looking forward to it. The food was fine, and the waiter was nice, but other than that... I'll never come back.

We went to Grace in Rotterdam for our honeymoon and had planned the evening well in advance, so our expectations were quite high. I had mentioned it was a special occasion when we made the reservation, and that's exactly how we were received: incredibly friendly, we were allowed to choose our own table, and we were given seats with one of the best views in the entire restaurant. For dinner, we sampled a wide variety of dishes: two different steaks, two sushi rolls, and non-alcoholic Pornstar Martinis. A huge plus for me: all the meat in the restaurant is halal, which is really rare in Europe, especially in upscale restaurants in the Netherlands. I eat steak often and have dined at high-end restaurants in many countries, but this one truly surprised me. I ordered my steak medium-well, and it was honestly the second-best steak I've ever had. I had a ribeye, and my partner had the filet mignon; both were cooked to perfection, incredibly tender, and beautifully presented. The steaks, at around €40, are absolutely fair priced for the level and quality. The sushi was just as impressive. We had a scallop roll and a beef roll, both visually stunning and incredibly delicious. I eat sushi almost every month and have tried countless restaurants, but this one definitely ranks in my personal top three in Europe. The only slight drawback: at around €25 per roll, it's on the pricier side, but given the setting and quality, it's justifiable. The drinks were also a pleasant surprise. With non-alcoholic cocktails, you often end up with something that tastes like juice with garnish, but here the drink truly had the character of a proper cocktail—balanced, not too sweet, and beautifully presented. Overall, everything was very well-coordinated and thoughtfully arranged, from the plates to the decorations. A huge thank you goes to Ashley, our server. She was incredibly attentive and friendly all evening and really took her time with us. When she found out we were celebrating our honeymoon, she allowed us to go upstairs to the normally off-limits floor so we could take photos in peace, and she even arranged sparklers and a small fireworks display for us. This gave us the entire upper level to ourselves for a short while, allowing us to take some truly special pictures. That's the kind of service you really want, especially on a special evening. We'll definitely be back!

I was a bit hesitant because the reviews weren't great, but I had a delicious meal here, and the staff was super friendly. It does take a bit longer, but luckily there was plenty of entertainment. Maybe hire a few more staff. That's the only thing, otherwise, highly recommended!

If you have a lot of time and don't want to deal with rude people, then definitely go: It initially took 30 minutes to get served after waving at the waiter several times and trying to make contact (while she repeatedly looked at us). After that, she asked us what we wanted, as if she didn't care. When we asked 15 minutes later if she knew where our drinks were, we were told, "It's just taking a long time." The drinks were great, but while we were drinking, we wanted to pay the bill. This took another 20 minutes. We ended up talking to four people and still couldn't pay. I then walked over to someone and got a vague answer saying, "She'll be right there." We were eventually able to pay, but these people were very rude. In the end, we sat for 1.5 hours and only had one drink.

This was the worst service i have ever experienced in my life. It took 40 minutes to get a drink. we asked 4 waiters for the check and no one came. there were people sitting next to us who left because of how bad the service was. if you like slow service and rude waiters, come here.

We came here for the cocktails through a social deal. They were truly amazing! We also had the Tokyo oysters and the pornstar martini, both very unique and delicious.

A huge disappointment! A particularly unfriendly welcome. The cocktails had to be reported twice, only to arrive 45 minutes after ordering them. The place promised a show: we only got two songs from the singer, then she disappeared. With the pretension of taking a deposit of €25 per person, it's hard to accept such a dull result. Fortunately, the food was good... but at that price, it's not enough, just the taste. I don't recommend it.

My wife and I dined here. After a successful day in Rotterdam, we wanted to end the day on a high note. We were harassed by a man who was clearly drunk and walking around alone. Security didn't react to this at all or do anything to protect us. We had to leave after a few visitors helped us. I sent an email a day later. That was weeks ago, and no response. Unacceptable.

After Gastvrij Rotterdam, we enjoyed the afterparty at Grace. The four-course meal was delicious and well-thought-out, with excellent service and a stylish atmosphere. A perfect combination of fine dining and party. The live entertainment was also excellent; the singer sang beautifully and some great songs!

The food and atmosphere were just fine, but it wasn't very busy and we were constantly forgotten. It took quite a while before we were helped and our drinks arrived. The best-selling item was also wrong, and our receipt was incorrect. It happens, of course. What I personally found really strange was that a security guard had me take off my hat while I was sitting outside. If I didn't, we would have been sent away, and nowhere does it say that this rule even applies. Other people wearing hats, headscarves, and headbands were allowed, but my hat wasn't allowed, which was very strange and, in my opinion, unlawful. Nevertheless, the food was delicious.

Service 0! We had to wait ages for everything, and some things didn't even arrive. We asked multiple times to different waiters, and they never got it on time or at all. They were also incredibly rude. I'll never come back here again.

The waiter was rude and rude; he dropped my drink and didn't offer a new one. We ordered a few dishes and never received them. We had to wait 10 minutes for our cutlery, and our food was cold. We ordered drinks twice and didn't receive them. Once we did receive our food, it wasn't complete, and we had to wait another 10 minutes. This restaurant is definitely not recommended. Our food was also dry.

Despite the mixed reviews, we decided to give it a try and we had an absolute blast ! The food was good, loved the Filet Mignon, the truffle fries and edamame, the burrata salad lacked a bit of seasoning but still good. The white chocolate p*rn star martini is to die for! 100% recommended! The atmosphere was really nice on a Friday evening, with a good DJ and really nice shows, live music, fire show etc. They also have ladies nights on Thursdays (50% on the food, bookable in advance). The waiter was very welcoming, the service was slightly slow but we were not in a rush so it was perfect for us!

We found Grace through Social Deal and chose the Shared Dining menu. The food was surprisingly good! We started with a delicious break roll with spreads, a great start. Then we had edamame beans, chicken gyozas, and carpaccio. The beans were spicy, but that was mentioned, and they were delicious. The gyozas and carpaccio were also excellent; the carpaccio, in particular, was generously topped with Parmesan cheese and other tasty toppings. For our main course, we had fish and bavette, with fries. The fish was nice and crispy, and the bavette was super tender and flavorful. The fries were also nice and crispy! We found the dessert a bit simpler compared to the rest, but it was still delicious. Oh, and the White P*rnstar Martini? Highly recommended! The atmosphere at Grace is cozy and stylish. The staff is friendly, although it took a while before we could order. We finally asked if we could order something to drink. All in all: delicious food and a nice atmosphere.

We would have preferred the meat cooked properly for the main course, but unfortunately, it was rare, but we still finished it. Unfortunately, it wasn't a good experience. We were there on a Sunday when it wasn't busy. We were seated within a meter of the people next to us. Once seated, we heard both people next to us order incorrectly. The wrong dishes were served, or the appetizer and main course were both served at the same time. We sat for 15 minutes and still hadn't been offered any drinks. (Upon arrival, I immediately asked for the cocktail menu because I was craving one.) After 20 minutes, no one came to take our drink order. We finally got up and left. How can you make people who just arrived wait so long for a drink? This is a one-time thing for me, and never again.

Unfortunately, I've had several bad experiences at Grace because of one employee. She's a young, light-skinned woman with curly hair. She's very unfriendly, unprofessional, and has an arrogant attitude. Requests for simple things like a straw or table cleaning are ignored, and she often doesn't return at all. She also doesn't greet you, speaks in a nasty tone, and ignores customers. If you ask her for something that requires her to do something (which is her job), you might get a "tjoerie" or an eye roll. She also simply walks away while you're still finishing your order, assuming you're done. I noticed this wasn't just the case with me, but with other guests as well. After sharing my experience, I learned she's even known for this. This confirms that it's not my fault. After three of the same bad experiences, I've decided not to return. It's a shame, because this really ruins the atmosphere.

We sat outside in the evening for a drink. I can't comment on the quality of the food. It took a very long time to be served. The benches and chairs were comfortable. The patio heater is good. Nice spot right on the Coolsingel. Drink prices are a bit high, though.

Went here for dinner with four friends and had a great evening. The staff is welcoming and goes the extra mile for you if you have a request. Definitely recommended if you're looking for a cozy evening or a date.

First, we sat outside on the terrace. We were hungry, but it was around midnight and the kitchen was already closed, which made sense. After sitting on the terrace for half an hour, we went inside. There, we sat at a round table. No one helped us, so I walked to the bar myself. They told me I couldn't order for the table and had to ask a "runner." However, they were nowhere to be seen. Eventually, I was able to order a cocktail at the bar, and they said they would bring it over. When I asked if they had any snacks to nibble on with the cocktail—something cold, nuts, or something like that—I wasn't thanked. I was told there was nothing to eat and only alcohol. I was told, "Better, right? Just enjoy a drink." I thought this was a rather misplaced comment. At these prices, you'd expect something small to nibble on, but they didn't even have that. The comment afterward didn't make things any better. I definitely won't be going back. The service is poor and the staff is unfriendly.

Food was yummy - only downside was my Korean fried chicken was raw. Service was extremely poor. We were originally given one menu between five people and it took 20 minutes to get more. We had to leave the table multiple times to get our waitress’ attention. She was rude and did not provide a decent standard of customer service. When I approached another member of staff to inform him, he was dismissive and seemed to find the ordeal hilarious. Such a shame because the entertainment and interior is stunning. Great singers and dancers!

The "bouncer" outside is a hoot! When you walk past the restaurant, you're greeted from the side like you were at a kids' disco 20 years ago and drawn into a discussion about why you're passing by. What's the point? Not in the mood for customers? Of course, we didn't eat anything here!

I am an restaurant hotel expert 16/07 23:00 I was there. When I saw the Place, I was surprised! Your interior is super. Music - I Shazammed some song from your playlist. We had only drinks. And I didn’t understand why you are 3.3 ⭐️ This place can be 4.4⭐️ But your waiter was unfocused and made a lot of mistakes. She arrived to our table without menu. Then she gave it; after 3-4 min arrived guy and took order. After 8 min this girl turned and asked what we want to order. Then we got an Irish coffee in the dessert wine glass. I never saw this before. It’s confusing me. There was also no whipped cream on top. And the taste was very bitter, and coffee was served without honey and sugar.So I had to call her again and she brought it. But her biggest mistake was when I ordered whiskey and after it will be served I immediately want to paid by card. She came with a terminal, I paid 23€ 1.20 of which was a tip. I wait up to 10 min nobody gave me whiskey. I even went to the WC and saw this waiter twice walking in the empty restaurant. So I decided to spoke with a barmen about this. And he immediately gave me a shot. So guys, replace some of your workers. I would love to come to try your oysters with passion fruit! I give 3.8 For drinks and this service . I haven't tried your cuisine and can't rate the food.

Grace is a good place in the center from Rotterdam , close to the metro station. It is nicely decorated. In the evening, you can enjoy the lively shows and good DJ’s music. Drinks and snacks are very good

Been going to this place twice now and I LOVE this restaurant! The food and drinks are really good, and service is amazing 👌 The atmosphere looks vintage and warm, the way they incorporated the style is very luxurious.

The atmosphere was pleasant, with the entertainment and music, but oh boy... the service was terrible. Only one waiter was actually doing his job, very friendly and attentive; the rest were forgetful or looked at us grumpily whenever we asked for anything. We had to beg every time to get service (for extra drinks or to order food). It was terrible. I think they were understaffed... this isn't how it should be! Then we waited over 30 minutes for our cocktails, and the food wasn't good. The drinks and food were okay, but not great either. When we paid, we indicated we wanted the 50% discount for ladies' night, but he only deducted the deposit. I discovered this too late. We told the friendly waiter, and he compensated us nicely. So, the extra star is only for this waiter! It's a shame I don't know his name, otherwise I would have given him a shoutout. But generally speaking, I understand the low reviews. Incidentally, I look down on restaurants that implement the tipping system for card payments; not good. If I want to tip, I will indicate so myself!

The customer service is terrible, I ordered a cocktail and they gave me the cocktail with a little bit of alcohol, I requested that they put a little bit more in it and they said no, that to get a little bit more I have to pay extra, I said I didn't want the drink and they told me that I still have to pay for the drink even if I don't want it, the customer service there is terrible, I do not recommend the place.

Very nice restaurant with a chic look. The staff is friendly and helped us well. We chose the shared dinner menu and you get what you pay for. The food was very tasty and we also got a lot to eat (see photos). 100% worth repeating!

Overall, I was satisfied with my visit to this restaurant. The service and atmosphere were good. However, the food is quite specific and mainly for people who really like fish and meat dishes. Personally, I did not particularly like the “sea bass with fennel, carrot and caviar sauce” and the “bavette with seasonal vegetables and Grace sauce” – the flavors were quite intense and not quite balanced for my taste.

Great food, good vibe, can be bit slow on the service but definitely recommend!

There was a mouse on the couch seat me and my friends were on, when we told the waitress she didn’t care. Also, the presentation was not the best, for example, my pornstar martini was messy, with the passionfruit drowning inside the drink, and my friend got a beer which was served in a wine glass, not classy at all. Slow service and mixed gender bathroom was not ideal. Other than that, aesthetic place to go and nice music.

We decided to try Grace, a local Rotterdam restaurant, and unfortunately, it turned out to be a very disappointing experience. Service: The first issue arose when I requested tap water. The waitress, Alyssa, said they couldn’t serve it, I am not sure if I remember this part correctly but I thought she said they couldn't charge for tap water. I was genuinely taken aback, as every other restaurant we’ve visited has provided tap water without issue. As for the food, we ordered chicken sliders as an appetizer, a Paloma and roasted chicken for my husband, and the beef cheek (Asian-style with crispy rice and bimi) for myself. When our server asked if I wanted sides, I clarified that the beef cheek dish came with rice and veggies, and she confirmed it did. So, I opted out of additional sides. The appetizers arrived promptly and were excellent, as was my husband’s Paloma. However, things went downhill quickly. We waited a full hour for our mains, during which we grew increasingly frustrated. At one point, we asked our server for an update around the 50 minute mark, but she never returned with an answer. Instead, I saw her chatting with coworkers and setting tables while we sat there, hungry and starting to feel disappointed with the service. Finally, another server brought out our mains just as we were about to leave as we said we would ask for our bill at the one hour mark which is when the food arrived. Ambiance: Inside, the dining area was relatively quiet, with hardly anyone seated nearby. The patio seemed busy, but it appeared most people were just enjoying drinks or sharing appetizers, not ordering full meals. Food: My husband’s roasted chicken was tasty but was half a chicken with a few vegetables. My beef cheek was flavorful but severely disappointing in portion size. It didn’t come with the rice that the server confirmed it came with and what I assume were supposed to be “crispy rice” pieces were tiny white specs in the sauce. Attached are two of the photos I took of my meal: one of the untouched dish and one where I moved the vegetables aside to confirm the absence of rice. I think our dishes could have been better had there been more on our plate for the price point it was served at. Overall Experience: We decided to skip dessert due to our dissatisfaction and instead went elsewhere. Our server didn’t check on us during the meal, nor did she address our earlier inquiry about the delay until we were completely done eating. When I expressed my disappointment, she went silent and didn’t seem to know how to respond. I also had mentioned if we knew there would have been a longer wait we would have ordered another appetizer. Our final bill (including a 20% early reservation discount and the removal of our €50 deposit) came to €76.40 (~$119 CAD). For what we received, it felt like a scam. While the flavors were good, the main dishes portion sizes were absurdly small, and the service was inattentive. Perhaps this restaurant is better for appetizers and drinks only. Conclusion: We wouldn’t recommend Grace. The food, while tasty, doesn’t justify the price, and the service was lackluster at best. Save your time and money and dine elsewhere.

Recently went with a large group for Mother's Day and what a disappointment!!! Not to be repeated. We went for high tea and also ordered gluten-free options. They literally got a sandwich for 33.50 euros and there were no gluten-free sweet options, really crap. And the service even more so. Really a waste of our money and never Grace again for us!!! We had made a reservation but that didn't make any difference unfortunately because there was NOTHING PREPARED!!!

The food was good, the service a bit less, we had already indicated several times that we were still looking. Waitress came by 4 times. The food was good, only the evening we both came home for hours on the pot, some of the food had to be out of date!!!!

Very nice eating spots , also on the first floor. Professional and friendly staff. The food is excellent, like the undiscovered cocktails. A dj ( we don’t know her name) played stylish numbers all in balance and not to loud.

I can't say anything more since we sat for 20 minutes and weren't served, even though several waiters saw us. This has nothing to do with Grace.

Terrible. Tried twice and both times no good service, staff doesn't feel like doing their job and pretends they don't see you. We had a lady who took our order so disinterestedly that I wondered if she was okay. Then waited an hour for the food that didn't taste good at all. Luckily it was ladies night and we had a discount, otherwise it would have been a waste of money. We had a lot of food left over because it wasn't tasty but thought it was a shame to throw it away so we wanted to take it home. I asked the lady if she had containers so we could take it with us to which her answer was: 'no'. All in all I will never come here again 🥰

Came to Grace with friends on King’s Day and there was a DJ there who knew aaaaall the songs millennials would love. We were in our booth jamming! I went back on a weekday and ordered some snacks. Everything was good, and plentiful enough to take home for later. The staff is nice and attentive. Food was good, atmosphere was relaxing. It’s close to shopping at Beurs, so it’s ideal for before or after your shopping is done. I definitely recommend.

On a Tuesday afternoon at 15:00 tried to order coffee with three people, after 20 minutes finally a waiter and after another 20 minutes. Finally coffee without the accompanying attributes. Addressed the hostess and after another 10 minutes a hot coffee was served with spoon and sugar. What a poorness and that on an almost empty terrace.

Well, the food was mixed. The shrimp were incredibly delicious, but the chicken was way overcooked. The meatballs were tasty, the cheese sticks were interesting, but the quality didn't seem to be exactly the best. The prices are quite high, as is usual in this area! But I've probably experienced better quality. A solid place if you're not at all available.

Deeply disappointed with the dinner! Everything went wrong with the service. We had to ask for the bread in advance after half an hour. The dinner that arrived at the table was not what we had ordered. They had just given us another pasta while we did not like/want it. Then we ordered another one instead. And they did not remove the wrong pasta from the receipt. Very antisocial. And the drinks would be removed from the bill. Which also did not go well. And we had to indicate several times that we had a loyalty discount, which was also a lot of trouble. In the end we got the food, which was also cold. After that we did get a new one. All in all we paid too much for something we did not even finish. And the quality of the food was not great either. Never again for us, only for a drink that is also much more expensive than other favorite restaurants…

Attentiveness of the staff left much to be desired. Sometimes I felt like the staff saw me, but consciously pretended not to see me. It is certainly not worth repeating. I ordered a few plates, but literally had to chase the staff to ask where the rest was. They simply forgot to bring two dishes. Finally, I received a regular bill, even though I had made a reservation for Grace Sunday (get 2, pay 1). This was not taken into account.

yesterday we visited this place to celebrate a friend's birthday. as a result we were disappointed with the service: we waited a long time for our order, the waiters simply forgot to bring water, which we ordered in advance, but the last straw was that we hoped that our friend would somehow be congratulated and we were not mistaken. they brought us a glass of ice, thank you for the congratulations, it would have been better not to congratulate. spoiled the impression.
