TIWYA Rotterdam in Rotterdam Centrum

Not even worthy of 1/5 stars. The staff is aggressive and the security guards are ineffective, so they're constantly being reprimanded by the municipality for either having to close due to the number of fights or for having to plead with a judge for the umpteenth time to reopen. Furthermore, the owner of Tiwya isn't an employer but a profiteer. His only goal is to line his pockets at the expense of his underpaid staff. Even if someone (not me, but someone else) has worked for him for a few years and never said no, they still receive minimum wage. By the way, if you go out here, you'll be ripped off by the prices the staff charges you; they usually charge a few euros more than the actual asking price. (I should know, I worked there and put up with this for far too long.) So again: DO NOT WORK FOR THEM!!!

I bought a ticket online and drove all the way from Utrecht to Rotterdam. The moment I got to the door, they were already making it difficult to let me in. Once inside, I forgot something in my car and quickly ran to the car to get something. How do I want to get back in? I was stopped by the security guard and told that I was no longer allowed in and they said that this is not my ticket. Very strange and very rude, they let me stand there and pretended they didn't see me.

On Friday night, March 7th and 8th, we visited Club Tiwya with high expectations for a fun evening. Unfortunately, that experience was completely ruined by the unprofessional and disrespectful behavior of the cloakroom staff. When a friend of mine dropped her cloakroom ticket and lost it (this was just seconds after we received it), the staff refused to offer any help or understanding. Instead of trying to find a solution together, we were treated with downright rudeness. The women behind the counter were arrogant, rude, and completely unwilling to cooperate. They addressed us in a derogatory manner and acted as if we were behaving criminally, while we were simply looking for a way to get her coat back. We understand that there are rules, but in any decent club, guests are treated with respect. Here, they reacted with nothing but difficulty and even threats, as if it were our fault that their system offered no other way to get coats back. Ultimately, we had to go to great lengths to even get the jacket back, without any help from the staff. This kind of service is unacceptable. You should train your staff better in customer service and proper problem-solving, instead of dismissing guests with an arrogant attitude. We certainly won't be returning and advise others to think twice before choosing this place.

A truly terrible club experience. Upon arrival, a fight broke out immediately in the cloakroom, which even required the staff to be restrained. When I left, I was treated very poorly and unfriendly, even without provocation.

TIWYA is the best club in all of Rotterdam, very nice staff and security.

Been there, so much for security, so much for the party organizers, and a sincere shoutout to the owners. Next time, they should play Pop Smoke.

Horrible experience. If I could give 0 stars, I would. I’m so embarrassed that I recommended this place to my friends to celebrate a birthday. The food was expensive, disappointing, we have got a variation of the same thing/taste. The service was mediocre and worst of all, they charged us twice. A friend of us left earlier than the rest, she paid the bill and later on, when we were leaving they charged us again the same amount. We only realized later that we paid 600 euro for tasteless food, mediocre service and overrated dessert. I do NOT recommend.

Ate here with our 2 daughters. The food is good. Cocktails and Desserts are great. More for young people than for the elderly.

A long time ago HUGH, famous as the "crazy place" of Rotterdam, had a less special vibe. Then changed to TIWYA: in the beginning it was good, then the team changed and the quality became substandard. Which has translated to "class tent" to the student pub. Shame.

Bad service had to pay a lot of money to get in and nothing was included plus bad music

Paid tickets (15-20), paid cloakroom (2 euro per jacket and no PIN!!) Terrible unfriendly staff, competitive atmosphere, constant roaming of people bumping each other, musics that last for 30 seconds + DJ that wont stop talking for more than 5 seconds.. Then you know enough already, u can just go somewhere else!

Celebrated my birthday last Saturday at TIWYA. 5 stars for the top service, everything was well organised, friendly staff, beautiful property. LOTS of GOOD food for your money and also suitable for large groups.

The quality of food was not the best and the price was high, portions was small compare to the price And they trouw the food on my coat, on side of my coat was full of sauce and they offer me to give me 20 euro for laundry or when I give my coat to laundry I send a receipt to them ,…. The name of the manager is Sylvia and after 3times sending email to her she responds and she said I need to bring the original receipt to her and she will not pay me like this by email , I was very disappointed and unsatisfied with them because of very bad customer service I will never go again

My girlfriend and I asked for a romantic spot in the restaurant. We were not disappointed as the restaurant has a very unique interior and atmosphere. The food was delicious, and we even got some from the house! Don't expect a cheap bite, instead expect a comfortable full belly.

Super lekkere speciale cocktails!!

Gisteren bij Tiwya geweest, erg getwijfeld door de slechte reviews maar ben super blij dat ik me daardoor niet heb laten leiden. Het was een super chille sfeer, de Engelstalige serveerster was ook super vriendelijk. En dan het eten, super kwaliteit en presentatie super cute! Voor 40-50 euro p.p hadden we cocktail, "hoofd"gerecht, sidedish en dessert.. en zat echt vol! Ik kom hier zeker terug.

Lekker eten, perfect bediening !!! De serveerster Fiorela was heel aardig en ze heeft onze geholpen met menu en was heerlijk!!!

Don is de beste barback die er is!! Ruimt alles goed op, en super vriendelijk! Moet exht een upgrade krijgen naar barman!!

Nice place to have fun. Not a remarkable food but a very interesting place to find excellent staff and service, drinks and atmosphere.

Heb hele goede avonden gehad hier tijdens het uitgaan. Vooral ook door een guy achter de bar, Anten heet hij ofzo. Beste wingman die je kan krijgen!!

The drinks were delicious, but unfortunately we waited on our food/ drinks for almost 2 hours long. Regardless of our reservations. Large groups came in after and got served before us. The food wasn’t very warm, which gave the impression that it was there for a while. We were told the printer had malfunctioned, but that doesn’t explain how groups that came in hours after us got served in such short waiting time.

Waren hier voor het eerst , maar konden niet meteen naar binnen, omdat ze nog bezig waren? Maar eenmaal binnen heel gezellig leuke muziek , aardig personeel , was gezellig!

Jammer om te melden maar het is niet meer wat het was. Bediening is super vriendelijk maar iedere vorm van structuur en samenwerking ontbreekt. Bestellingen worden niet goed genoteerd of doorgegeven aan de keuken. Om de paar minuten staat er een andere bediende aan je tafel om te vragen of je nog wat wilt bestellen, maar aan het einde bij het opruimen is er niemand te bekennen. Ik houd het de volgende keer bij een cocktail aan de bar.

Onlangs wezen eten met een groep, als je reserveert moet je tegenwoordig een deposit betalen en een app moet je downloaden. Blijf dat vreemd vinden maar oke, smiddags telefonisch doorgegeven dat het aantal was veranderd. Avonds was de tafel nog opgedekt als het originele aantal, niks gecommuniceerd onderling dus. Vanaf begin af aan moesten we om onze drinken vragen en/of bestellen, als er iets tegenviel dan was dat het wel. Horeca les nummer 1 zorg dat je gasten ten alle tijde wat te drinken hebben, geen lege glazen. Iets met willen verkopen. Drinken bestellen duurde gewoon veel te lang en erom vragen of we drankjes konden bestellen tot 4x toe is no go. En zo druk was het niet. Eten was goed, niet heel veel bijzonders maar wel goed. Service was goed en aardig tussendoor, je merk gebrek aan horeca-ervaring. Eindrekening deposit niet verrekend, dagen erna gemaild. Aangesproken in mails met je, ook best onprofessioneel maar eindstand teruggestort gekregen. Buitenkant is slecht herkenbaar dat daar Tiwya gevestigd zit, diner is rond 18:30 erg rustig op een vrijdag avond, om 23:00 veranderd het in een club leuk maar voor House Classic disco muziek draaien niet spectaculair of iets om een kaartje voor te kopen. Een aanrader? Mwuah.

Juiste prijs/kwaliteit verhouding ver te zoeken. Verrekenen de aanbetaling die je moet doen bij de reservering niet met de uiteindelijke rekening. Later nog een paar e-mailtjes aan gewaagd maar nul reactie.

Het eten is lekker maar de service is erg slecht. Erg lang wachten, veel fouten gemaakt en personeel niet vriendelijk.

Overpriced: Dinner is very bland and not well prepared. Cocktails are expensive but also big. The team is friendly and give good suggestions.

Great place nice setting and goof *ss food

Heerlijk gegeten dit weekend echt een aanrader. Gefaseerd neemt het volume van de muziek toe en daarna volgt de avond van je leven. De aanrader voor een dagje uit.

Leuke warme tent in hartje centrum Rotterdam met lekker eten . Denk meer aan de smaak richting de Indonesische eilanden . Cocktails naar veel keuze . Medewerkers gezellig , oplettend of alles naar wens is. Later in de avond word dit een club met leuke muziek :) na lekker eten het eten laten zakken door middel van een dansje

Ik ben hier geweest voor het diner. Mooi interieur, vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel, lekkere cocktails, lekkere muziek, een relaxte sfeer. Voor het eten zal ik echter niet terugkeren. Het eten zou Indisch moeten zijn, is het gewoonweg niet. Prijs-kwaliteit verhouding is ook scheef. Ik wil best die bedragen betalen, maar de kwaliteit moet dan wel echt omhoog. Echt jammer.

Ik hou absoluut van lekker eten.. het enige wat hier lekker was waren de scallops en de garnalen. De rijst was papperig en het eten was echt ranzig.. Service is super slecht. ik kom hier volgende keer alleen voor een lekker drankje aan de bar en om van de muziek te genieten.

We had an offer from a website (heerlijk dot nl) at this restaurant. It promised 13 Indonesian dishes to try but they were very tiny for the three of us to share. We also thought that the music was playing too loud to be able to have a conversation. Clearly this is a place for the younger crowd whose tastes have not fully developed yet. The food was nice but definitely not authentic Indonesian. So for the food we will not come back. Tje staff os very friendly and helpful. Even with the offer of the website we found it expensive for what we got.

Als cocktailbar een aanrader echter als restaurant een teleurstelling. Gister geweest om te eten, de kip en rijst waren oke maar de zalm en reuze garnalen waren echt helemaal niet lekker terwijl ik een echte vis liefhebber ben. Ik had gevraagd om niet al te pittig eten, de sojabonen waren echter zo pittig dat zelfs degene met wie ik was en wel gewend is om pittig te eten ze heeft laten staan. We moesten begin van de avond ook continu overal om vragen, zelfs de menukaart (we waren al een half uur binnen). Het was erg rustig dus dit was niet nodig geweest. Later verbeterde dit gelukkig wel toen een andere dame aan haar shift begon. Het dessert was heerlijk: de pandan cotta! En de cocktails overigens ook heel lekker. Toen we de rekening kregen en ik het bedrag zag voor wat we gekregen hebben besloot ik hier niet weer terug te komen om te eten. Wat een teleurstelling
