Grand Café in Wijk 00

Fast service, delicious food, nice place to sit in the sun. Expensive, but what isn't these days? Food came in less than 10 minutes, very hot and tasty. Can't fault it.

We both ate there and ordered pizza. The food on site was fine. Staff nice too. The pizza is a disgrace. Price performance is underground, almost a scam! Pizzas totally small, burnt and so overpriced! It's worth eating out by car.

Unfortunately I was treaded disrespectful and after asking 4 times my table got cleaned. I felt not well welcome as a southern European woman.

Unfortunately too expensive for the quality. I have ordered Burger - Meat was OK but bread was dry. Don't get how Centerparcs always have much higher prices then surrounding high quality restaurants. Or same prices but abyssimal quality. The restaurant Zee and Natural high at bouwersdam have similar prices but much much higher quality. CP is such a great idea. But they ruin the experience with overpriced restaurants/bad convenience food quality. Maximum McDonalds quality but 2-3times the price - unacceptable

We ordered pizzas, 5 pizzas, at 8 p.m. (because all restaurants close at 9 p.m. and the kitchens even earlier), and they were tiny for an abnormally high price. Greasy pizza with few ingredients, I don't recommend. (But very nice service)

The food itself was fine, but outside there is a lot of advertising that they offer fast service using QR codes. However, these did not work, it was not extremely busy, so you could say that the staff could do just fine without using QR codes. We had to wait a long time before anyone came to take our order, luckily it didn't take very long before the food arrived. When we had finished the food, someone came by quite quickly to clear the dishes and politely asked if we had enjoyed it, but that person could/was allowed to clear the dishes alone, so ordering dessert from him was not an option. Then just wait for someone who can do this. After more than half an hour of trying to contact someone to see if we could order something, someone would be sent, but this took more than fifteen minutes. It wasn't until we were about to leave that someone finally came by, but instead of dessert we asked for the bill. So not worth repeating!

We are a family of five (three adults, two children) and had lunch at this restaurant. It was not very busy at the time. After my two children had finished eating, they got bored and left their seats to play next to the table. Then, another white family of three arrived, including a little girl. The young, tall, and slim waitress immediately brought the little girl free drawing kit. When I saw this, I actively asked for the same, and only then did the waitress give it to us. I don’t understand why, even though we arrived almost an hour earlier, we received nothing, while the white family was served immediately. This kind of differential treatment to my kids made me very upset, especially in a country like the Netherlands, which is known for its well-developed service industry. The food here is not very good and is overpriced. Initially, I didn’t want to complain. But since Center Parcs is a company that focuses on family vacations, this was the only unpleasant experience during our stay.

Excellent sandwiches. Service not bad. Atmosphere is fine. However, everything is on the expensive side.

Waiting time ok. Unfortunately that was it. Pizza size rather “small” Pizza price more “maxi” to family pizza. Baked completely dry, toppings poorly distributed (dry pieces, then a mountain of salmon), huge splashes of run-of-the-mill tomato sauce that stood out and the order was given differently than ordered. First and last time. Unfortunately I didn't read the reviews beforehand.

We ordered pizza to take away! An outrage! Way too small and totally dry! But then high prices. You should be ashamed of that. Never again!

Ordered fish and chips tasted like frozen fish and not even the quality you would expect for the price. My son had a croquette sandwich that is a far cry from a croquette from Kwekeboom or even Mora. Besides that, the staff is very friendly, which is a plus.

I think this is a really big scam. They offer a 4 pizza family deal at the restaurant nearby. When you now want to have this pizza for take away, you will be sent to Grand Cafe. When ordering here, the deal is not available and you have to pay a bunch more. It is the same pizza, the same recipe, the same ingredients but higher price - just because they can. I discussed with a manager, which was very strict. He was friendly but very not understandable. This smells like scam to me to just squeeze out more money. A great manager would have agreed to 'oh your right, let's make an offer for you here' but he didn't cared about customer at all. If You can, avoid this place by far.

Unbelievable, we had to look at the menu for half an hour to hear that the kitchen only opens at half past 12... that's nice because breakfast can only be ordered until 12 noon. We got up and left and got a croissant from the shop.

Order placed food was delivered cold and took a very long time and also forgot 1 so back here and that also took a very long time. Gluten-free menu is of no use here so it is not recommended. And see the photo of what is on the Gluten-free menu 😞

I never give reviews, but this was by far the worst pizza ever. Understand that you have to temper your culinary expectations with a take away pizza at a park, but this really beats everything. I'm really curious what cheese they use. Speechless.

This one made no sense. Never eaten such a dirty pizza. Feels like I was eating slime. Shame.

The service was smooth, our order was taken quickly and about 10 minutes later we received the sandwiches, which otherwise tasted great.

Just had a coffee and a cake here. Coffee good but no sugar and no basket to request it, the chocolate cake was frozen... 1 man staff for inside and outside so no one around. When someone finally said yes, we were already afraid of the cake and they laughed. It was finished so I took it straight out of the freezer, normally it takes at least half an hour and that's it... I had to pay almost €5 for it. Too bad, nice place, but we won't come here again

It looks like a great cafe, but I have never had to wait so long for my food!! We arrived at 5:00 PM, immediately ordered our food and drinks and sat there with our 1.5 year old daughter. But in the end we only received our food at 6:20 PM (!!!!), while during the hour we were waiting we already asked twice if it was still coming and the second time I indicated that it was no longer necessary because Our daughter also wants to sleep later and then we are not comfortable at all with an overtired child. They got angry at me because I had to cook in the house and canceling was not an option. We received our food 35 minutes later, it was soggy and cold and absolutely not recommended. In short; very unfriendly staff, long waiting times, food was very disappointing and very pricey for what you get (in both food and service). You understand that we didn't tip ;)

Yeah I have to agree with other reviewers... Way too over priced in there...also, they could atleast have more options on the menu, all the main meals were so expensive and not much choice.

Picked up 2 pizzas, salad and lasagna here. 1 pizza costs 16(!!!) euros. Really not edible, I am a pizza fanatic and have eaten a lot of pizzas but have never had such a bad pizza in my life. The lasagna was completely unevenly "warmed up", one side of the container, the bottom layer was charred black and stuck to the container, the taste was no more than the ready-made lasagna from the supermarket. Salad was okay. They charge really outrageous prices for reheated food. Be sensible and go to the supermarket, where the pizzas and lasagna are cheaper (although you have to sell a kidney for that too at Center Parcs) and taste better. Complete scam, outrageous prices for what you get! 52 euros.........

They have made almost everything vegetarian, false marketing and unhealthy. Atmosphere is fair. Schnitzel (pork) was moist at the bottom due to the salad dressing. Didn't come with mayo despite the fries.

Amazing experience. Really haven't had such a bad meal in a long time. Let's go through the misery chronologically: Glasses, dirty, not with fingerprints but really gross, black caked mess. When you bring it back you will be looked at strangely and attempts will be made to offer you a new round in the same glass. We have a beer here for just €8 and a glass of wine for €5. Do not! Just order a bottle of apple juice on chocolate milk, you can't go wrong with that. Then comes the food, the order (which can quickly be delivered for half the price) for €25, a menu consisting of half a bag of fries and a 100 gram schnitzel is put on the table. The local quality shop sells it for 60% less, making it the second most expensive in the region. Luckily we didn't have to wait long for it to be edible. Which became a challenge without cutlery. The pieces of bone/unknown hard things in the children's menu helped our children to start the changing period early and within 4-5 minutes they were not asked if everything was okay, but if we wanted to leave yet. Yes, rather…

Firstly, bizarrely high prices which is fine if the food is good. We got incredibly bland food with no taste while it also looked very bad. When we asked for some extra food because we thought it was very little for the money, this was surprisingly possible. But when we got it we found out that they had just heated this up in the microwave. Extremely bad place with bad food for a ridiculous price. For 2 people with 1 drink each costs almost 60 euros. And we left 3 quarters of the food because it was inedible. Avoid this place!

Food is not fantastic, bread and chicken a bit dry. But if you're tired and hungry it's fine. Service very friendly, a change to the order was no problem even if it was not on the menu. The wrong drink was delivered briefly, but it was exchanged without complaint. Also looks cozy

The cappuccino is not good here. We also asked if we could have an extra bag of sugar, but apparently the manager did not allow that. The waiter also thought this was strange, because it was quite a large cup of cappuccino (€4.50). The place did have a lot of light and the waiter was nice, this was the best thing about this place

Food and drinks extremely overpriced. Very long waiting times for food, even though there wasn't very much going on. The food itself was OK, but ultimately this is system catering.

I read a lot of negative reviews about the pizzas. I do not share this opinion. Delicious pizzas with a delicious crispy crust. It's really a shame that you are told to eat vegan. 'the new modern'. The vegetarian shawarma tasted good. After some inquiry, normal cheese turned out to be an option as well as real salami on the pizza. Tasted good, as always

Waited 45 minutes for someone from the service. Taking an order (after the menu had been delivered) takes a very long time.

The Grand Café Eemhof deserves a deep bow for their ability to mess up even the most basic aspects of catering services. Waiting for an order at this establishment feels like an eternity on a deserted island, only without the beautiful view. The staff seems to think time is a suggestion as guests wait hungrily and thirsty for their order to finally be noticed. The only promise this grand café keeps is that your patience will be tested to the limit. Avoid this place like the plague unless you are a marathon runner who trains to tolerate extremely long wait times.

Got a takeaway pizza, it didn't taste like a meter of cheese, it was very dirty, and they didn't even cut the pizza.

Friendly service and delicious cake. We only had a drink and a cake here. Furthermore, a bit cold and a bit of a killer space

Very bad service. Don't rush forward. 30 minutes of begging for a beer. Walked to the bar 3 times. Doesn't help either. Worth less than 1 star

The food served left much to be desired. Ordered a 'luxury' croquette sandwich, but received old, tough and cold bread that did not match the promising menu at all. The croquettes tasted like standard supermarket varieties, the salad seemed to come straight from a supermarket bag, and the tomato soup with ultra-thin breadsticks was hardly worth the money. The waitress was the only bright spot, but considering the disappointing meal, the price of around 30 euros was downright ridiculous. I wouldn't even dare serve this to friends or family. This is honestly the worst restaurant I've visited in 31 years, and that's saying something considering I eat out with my son pretty much every week. You have been warned!

Fries were limp and cold. Bitterballen were inedible. How do you get it done? And then also ask for such an amount. How dare you! Simply bad. Never again for us.

Had excellent pizzas (take away). I see a lot of negative reactions, but we did not have this experience. Price is a bit on the high side, but that is to be expected at a location in the middle of the park.

We ordered pizzas to take away. Unfortunately, we and the children didn't like them at all. We had to throw away a lot of leftovers because no one wanted to eat them the next day, even when they were cold, which was a shame!

Naar omstandigheden goed gegeten. Kipsate was lekker, kibbeling ook. Kindermenu cheeseburger op een broodje met tomaat, augurk en sla; kansloos. Jonge kinderen willen een patatje en bijv. een frikandel. Hou het simpel, vlag en wimpel. Nagerecht prima. Natuurlijk is het duur, maar dat weet je van tevoren dus mensen die daar over klagen moeten ook niet op center parcs gaan eten. Personeel: deed hun best. Mag wat spontaner, maar geen reden om er weg te blijven.

Unbezahlbar teuer. Da vergeht mir der Appetit...

Op zaterdag gegeten voor diner. Was niet bijzonder druk in het restaurant. Echter had het personeel er niet gek veel zin in leek wel. Moesten enorm lang wachten voor alles. Voor je geholpen werd. Voor je je bestelling door kon geven. Voor je je eten/drinken kreeg. Kaas/wordt plateau kwam niet overeen met de beschrijving, wat best teleurstellend is. Verder was het eten prima en hebben we voor 82E met zijn vieren redelijk gegeten.

Low quality food for a high price, but it’s not like you have too many options inside the park… Burger was horrible and the kids bolognese was vegan and disgusting to the point where my daughter simply refused to eat… all and all, I recommend cooking in your cabin…

Lekker gegeten, heel vlotte en vriendelijke bediening. Fish&chips zijn een aanrader. Prijzen zijn standaard voor een CenterParcs restaurant, kan je ook op voorhand netjes zien op het menu, dus waarom hierover geklaagd wordt? Komen zeker nog eens terug

Ich habe mir einen Erdbeer-Joguhrt-Smoothie bestellt. Gekommen ist ein sehr kleineres Getränk, wo eigentlich nur Erdbeeren und Bananen drin waren, der Joghurt hat GEFEHLT. Es waren die 5,50€ NICHT wehrt! Die Dekoration war sehr schön und interessant zum Anschauen. Die Stühle aber waren sehr wackelig und haben fürchterlich auf dem Boden gequietscht.

Das Essen war nicht das Geld wert.Service lässt sich auch auf sich warten.Viel zu teuer.

Het eten was matig, niet bijzonder en kwam niet overeen met de kaart. Zo hadden we een croque carpaccio zonder kaas gekregen en een clubsandwich zonder ei en guacamole besteld. Die clubsandwich kwam eerst met ei, teruggestuurd en kregen we alleen een broodje kipfilet terug. Het brood kon je beter gebruiken voor paneermeel. Bediende kwam langs en vroeg ‘Waar kan ik dit neerzetten?’ toen hij de drankjes kwam brengen. Uiteindelijk 170eu betaald voor matige lunch.

Sehr nettes Personal/ Service. Preise finde ich in Ordnung, so wie in saarländischen Restaurants. Vegetarische Auswahl ist gut. Und es hat alles geschmeckt.

Vlotte bediening en vriendelijk maar het eten is ondermaats. De clubsandwich (bijna 15 EUR) is gemaakt met plakjes kipfilet en een gebakken ei en matig brood, zonder sausje. Het omelet is zeer matig. Als dit restaurant geen bezoekers van het park zelf zouden hebben dan is het failliet. De uitvoering van de gerechten is niet slecht, maar de recepten en ingrediënten zeker wel.

Salade besteld, als je hard blies waaide het van je bord..Kibbeling geen smaak.Wanneer je dit vervolgens terugkoppelt, wordt hier verder niets mee gedaan. Met ons gezin gegeten..lang moeten wachten, 110,- lichter (waarvan oa 2 kindergerechten en een salade) en nog honger.. eens maar nooit meer! Gemiste kans Center Parcs gezien de recensies had ik hier toch iets mee gedaan!

Service sehr aufmerksam. Keine lange Wartezeit. Speisekarte klein aber fein, für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei. Eine Tischreservierung ist nicht unbedingt erforderlich da das Restaurant sehr geräumig ist, trotzdem sehr gemütlich eingerichtet. Preis-Leistung ist okay. 🍽🍷🍹

We hadden een kip saté en een schnitzel met champignon saus besteld en het was heerlijk. De bediening was enorm vriendelijk en het eten en de drankjes waren lekker en werden snel gebracht. Verder vond onze dochter van nog geen 1 de live muziek heel leuk!

Zeer vriendelijk personeel. Over het algemeen vlotte service. Enkel bij drukte kan het iets langer duren. Maaltijden zijn eenvoudig maar wel lekker.

ik had de spaghetti bolognese en het smaakte echt alsof het uit een blik kwam. als iemand op mn bord had gekotst en aan me had geserveerd had ik het verschil niet gemerkt. de borrelplank was wel oke voor mensen zonder smaakpapillen. Als je van flauw eten houdt ben je hier in ieder geval op de goeie plek. Niks tegen de bediening, jullie waren lief <3.

I saw a lot of bad reviews I will believe it. But if you order a pick up pizza it was so good like a Domino's. It's kinda small so make sure you pake 1 per person. Food was made in 10 min so fun.

Big disappointment. Food arrived more than hour after ordering and no one received the food at the same time. Food was nothing special.

Bediening was goed. Maar verder het eten! Nee ik zou hier niet meer komen. Ruim 50 min gewacht op natchos wat koud was en aangebrand. Vervolgens gevraagd om onze hoofdgerechten konden komen. Dit duurde vervolgens ook 20 minuten. Waarvan 1 salade en een pasta (met alleen vegetarische gehakt).vervolgens hebben de manager aangesproken en die wist niks te zeggen als we proberen het zo snel mogelijk.

Nice for a drink, but don’t expect more than mediocre food for a relatively high price. Flammkuchen Classic was not good; We informed the waitress, but nothing was really done with this feedback. Indian dish didn’t have strong taste and salmon salad was actually quite nice, but nothing fancy. The younger staff is very attentive and friendly.

Am Tag der Ankunft waren wir hier essen. Im Nachhinein ärgere ich mich die Rezensionen nicht vorher gelesen zu haben. Die teilweise hier vergebenen 5 Sterne sind für mich unerklärlichen. Service: Die Servicekraft war kaum zu versehen, unfreundlich und lustlos. Der Kellner der uns das Essen brachte war bemüht hat aber leider ein Essen vergessen welches dann etwa 5 min später kam. Essen: Wir haben Burger, Schnitzel und Spagetti bestellt. Burger: Wirklich schlecht! Das Fleisch war scheinbar Tiefkühlware. Selbst Discounter in Deutschland haben eine bessere Qualität. Schnitzel: Geschmacklich okay Spagetti: Kaum gesalzen, wobei das sicherlich jeder anders bewertet. Die Pommes, Mayo und Ketchup waren gut. (Nur deswegen einen zweiten Stern) Den ersten Stern gibt es für das Ambiente, das war wirklich nett und schön anzusehen. Die Preise (Burger und Schnitzel zu je 17,50€) (Spagetti 14,95€) sind für den Service und das Essen definitiv zu teuer. Die Getränke waren preislich Okay.
