We had a cousins' day out here in the beautiful grand hall upstairs. The atmosphere, the stunning view, and the relaxed but oh-so-good service, along with the great company, made for a truly enjoyable day. A top-notch location. Highly recommended.

The Sinterklaas menu was delicious and the portions were large. The gingerbread tiramisu was too much even for me, but it was also very tasty.

The food was delicious, especially the abbey cheese in the appetizer. However, the location of the table for two was bizarrely poorly chosen. Right by the bar, in a spot where staff were constantly rushing back and forth.

A friendly welcome, you feel very welcome. The sandwich was truly delicious, it looked beautiful, and the price was great. Highly recommended!

I'd like to share my positive experience with the restaurant I recently visited. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff. The atmosphere in the restaurant was cozy and inviting, which immediately put us at ease. Unfortunately, we have to mention that part of the menu (the Wild Game Menu) was unavailable on the evening we visited. This was somewhat disappointing, as we had come specifically for it. The rest of the menu offered a variety of delicious dishes, from which we had a hard time choosing. The dishes we ultimately ordered were beautifully presented and tasted exquisite. The chef clearly pays close attention to the quality of the ingredients and the preparation of the dishes. All in all, our experience at this restaurant was positive, and we can definitely recommend it to others looking for a nice place to eat with good food and a cozy atmosphere. We look forward to returning in the future.

Nice patio. Bring a flashlight for when you need to use the restroom. It's dark there, and after 5 minutes, the little light goes out. 😅

Beautiful location and good food. Some of the waitstaff weren't very friendly; food was brought to the table without a word, and they leaned over guests to pass plates. The restroom wasn't clean either; after we reported it, it turned out nothing had been done about it.

A cozy and atmospheric restaurant, beautifully decorated, and with very attentive and friendly service. The starter (steak tartare) was delicious. I found the vegetable tart a bit bland/boring. The apple crumble was tasty, but unfortunately, I didn't think it was worth the price. I'd like to give it 3.5 stars, but I had to choose between 3 and 4.

Beautiful restaurant, although we would have preferred a river view. The food was very good and plentiful. I'm not a big eater myself and asked if it was possible to have just one croquette on sourdough bread instead of two. No problem at all. During our hour and a half there, I noticed that the Burgundian croquettes are often restocked. They were also very tasty, as were the chicken wraps. Fresh orange juice and a good cappuccino. The price/quality ratio is excellent. Friendly staff.

We enjoyed a delicious dinner here with former classmates from 60 years ago. You have to create the atmosphere yourself, and with 11 people gathered at a long table, it was incredibly convivial. This was due in no small part to the excellent service, but certainly also to the delicious meals we were served. It wasn't the first time the former classmates had been here. But this time, especially for us from Bali, it was a wonderful and beautiful ending to a day-long reunion.

The food was very good. Nothing to complain about. Unfortunately, we had a table on the kitchen side. The entire restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere, except for the corner where we were seated. This was further enhanced by the constant opening of a door to the back room, a space lit by a cool white light and creating a strong draft. Despite repeated complaints to the staff, they kept leaving the door open. Too bad. We also couldn't understand why we were placed in that corner. The cozy front of the restaurant had plenty of room for a nice table for seven.

I've eaten here many times and it's always delicious. The presentation is excellent, as is the service. The location is also lovely, both indoors and outdoors. Highly recommended! Whether you're looking for lunch, dinner, or just a drink.

The apple crumble is soggy and impossible to eat. When I mentioned it, the response was that they always get compliments on the crumble.

Always good. They have a nice menu. Something for everyone.

A lovely and beautiful restaurant on the Waalkade. You can enjoy delicious food both inside and outside. A lovely, spacious terrace with a view of the Waalkade. Friendly staff. We thoroughly enjoyed it!

After a bit of a motorbike tour, I ended up here for a cup of coffee and a slice of (you weren't) apple pie on the terrace. Both were delicious.

The starter was delicious, the main course was lukewarm, the tournedos was not medium, but overcooked and tough, a shame.

Beautiful terrace and location. The food was excellent. Unfortunately, the service was mediocre. The table wasn't cleared. Glasses and bottles were left standing. We ordered a portion of fries for four people, so we ordered more. It took over 20 minutes for the food to arrive. They didn't respond at all when we asked for something.

After a camping trip, we settled down at the Terrace for Coffee and Pastry. In beautiful weather, a prime location on the Waal River in the beautiful town of Zaltbommel. Very friendly terrace service from a slightly older but smooth, trendy woman. I recognized myself in her, so I considered that a plus. A delicious cappuccino and a delightful apple pie. And oh yes - definitely tolerant. Black-suited cyclist or white-blonde - it's all possible.

Eleven of us had a wonderful lunch at this stunning location. We were served by incredibly friendly and attentive staff! Highly recommended for everyone!

A central dining and drinking spot on the waterfront in Zaltbommel. Plenty of outdoor seating, but also several indoor areas. We had lunch there, and it was fine—not exceptional, but certainly not bad. We were very pleased with the welcome: we hadn't made a reservation, but the host found a great waiting area for us before we could sit down. Well done.

My last visit was a disappointing experience, as the food wasn't really warm anymore. It had been sitting there too long before being served. Otherwise, it was fine.

Helaas geen clubburger, geen surf & turf en geen tournedos… uitverkocht.Dat was een “bijzondere” ervaring. Kwaliteit eten redelijk tot goed , niet uitzonderlijk tegen een redelijke prijs. It was 35 degrees, we were placed in the sun, out of the wind, I had made a reservation. We asked for another spot in the shade and that was not possible. We finished our food and then left. Many spots in the shade were still free.

Sat outside, view of the river Waal. Delicious mussels with draft beers. My wife; vegetarian eater, also a tasty snack. Nice staff. Sunny warm day, full terrace, but went smoothly!💚👍

Delicious food! But we think €11.50 for half a liter of wheat is RIDICULOUS Just a quick comment on the comment below. I would have your supplier read this review. By the way, at the market you pay €7 for 0.5L wheat, so maybe you should look for another supplier. When ordering, we didn't see anywhere that half a liter costs €11.50, otherwise we wouldn't have ordered it of course.

Nice terrace with a view of the Waal, if you don't look at the beam like my wife. Toilets are very dark and difficult for people with reduced mobility, fortunately there is a lift. (could be indicated more clearly). Service clearly didn't feel like it. Food is fine but not a highlight.

We like to come to De Verdraagzaamheid, both business and private. The people are friendly, it looks cozy and well-kept, the food is great. You also sit well, outside with a view of the river or inside in a pleasant environment. They have a large terrace and several rooms.

Together with my mother we had a delicious meal at Verdraagzaamheid. The staff was friendly, but in my opinion a bit rushed and chaotic. The lady who brought the food threw it on the table and walked away.

We were ten adults, two children aged 4 and two babies. It was boiling hot outside but the staff thought along with us. A special corner was set up for us where the children did not cause any inconvenience to the other guests. Great! Also some colouring pictures. Absolutely great! We had an extensive (3 hours) lunch and everything was good! We have also decided to have our annual family outing at De Verdraagzaamheid again next year. See you next year!

Very hospitable, friendly and polite host, what a welcome and departure. Food very tasty, large Burgundian portions. Only the asparagus soup with sourdough bread (two wafer-thin slices) was a bit meager. Otherwise very good price-quality, therefore five stars. Beautiful atmospheric historical location with wide view. Lunch for six people on Sunday succeeded without reservation, reservation is recommended.

Eaten, crispy chicken salad, salad was not fresh, chicken looked gray in color, very unfortunate, immediately stomach cramps and felt very sick. Also dug through that salad did not taste good! Service was very friendly, that was not the problem.

Dined with 4 people, booked in advance. Service is good and friendly. Location is fine, cozy restaurant. The food is disappointing. We chose 3x sole and 1x diamond fillet. Small portion of fries for 4 people and with the sole there were no vegetables, no salad, nothing!! Something could be done about that, considering the price. Sole was also not fried nice and crispy... A bit soggy because of the flour?

We went there for lunch with my wife and we really enjoyed our time there. We chose each a salad : - for my wife the fish salad and she found it super good and tasty (with a lot of salmon and tuna salad) - For me the Pastasalade carpaccio and I absolutely loved it Both salad are really big and generous. Both were super tasty. The dame blanche is also quite big and good. The employees have all been super friendly and nice. So overall we enjoyed and highly recommend !

Posted this review 11 months ago, it wouldn't happen again, they said, but they still do it, May 5 everyone will have empty ice cream cups again, with only a dollop of ice cream on top. And the days after too. SO NOTHING HAS CHANGED YET. Just got ice cream. I hear one boy say to the other. Keep the ice cream cups low, otherwise too much ice will go in. So I say, laughing, wait a minute, some good ice cream. So we have 2 giant cups, guess what, we're eating them in the car. Are they half empty?!!! What a rip off. 2.50 for a half empty giant cup of ice cream. This way I can also sell ice cream.

The food was good, but the drink that my friend ordered did not arrive and it was still on the bill by saying that we had not had the drink, so it was taken off the bill.

Lunch was nothing special. Not an extensive menu and the food was reasonable. Wouldn't come back here anytime soon.

There were problems with the reservation system, so the reservation was not known to the Brasserie, and that was not just my reservation. Fortunately, this was handled well and we were quickly able to get a table outside as requested. Furthermore, excellent service, nice staff and a good lunch

We had to wait quite a long time for the food and the terrace was only half full. The food (shrimp croquette) was very disappointing. The toasties were tasty. Location on the Waal is great.

High Sharing Eastern was vandaag een groot succes. We hebben heerlijk gegeten van de 3 soorten luxe wraps, sandwich met geitenkaas en tonijnsalade, gevulde eieren, de Paasstol, sandwich krokante kip, minibroodje bitterbal, en saté van kippendijfilet. En als dessert nog een heerlijke pavlova met vers rood fruit. Vanavond hoef ik niet te eten ! En gaan we nog wel een keer doen 👍🏻

Samen met een vriendin die in Utrecht woont halfweg afgesproken we kwamen uit bij de jullie. Erg gezellige brasserie. Leuke bediening en heerlijk geluncht.

Enjoy a delicious cup of coffee here with a pastry. Pastries were shared (on the advice of the waiter) so that we could each taste what the other had ordered. You sit here comfortably and have a beautiful view over the Waal. If you can sit on the spacious terrace when the weather is nice, you will have an even better time.

Boring and expensive food. Little flavor and lots of ready-made garnish for the nachos and chewy poffertjes with little powdered sugar. Old-fashioned beer list with lager, grimbergen, chouffe,... you know the drill. Too bad, basically a nice place with potential, but could be a bit more with the times in terms of menu and better quality or cheaper prices. Addition: Prices may be higher everywhere, but perhaps slightly more fresh products, especially the guacamole had no taste and the white sauce did not resemble creme fraise. A jalapeno pepper wouldn't have gone amiss and some more cheese... In terms of beers, there really is enough to be found. Isn't there a local brewery in the region? Or else from Den Bosch, Utrecht or elsewhere in the Netherlands; Kromme Haring, Vandestreek, Jopen, Uiltje, Oedipus, Van Moll,... that kind of thing. And I see that Zaltbommel has a city brewery, they put it on tap (if it is of good quality)!

Need some 'tolerance'? Come here! This location has it all! In the meantime, don't forget to enjoy the view!

The service was super nice. Only I forgot to say that my diamond hare was lukewarm. I forgot to say it, but I don't think it's possible. Especially considering the price.

We had a delicious high tea there. Tasty, varied and more than enough.
