La Latina restaurant in Wijk 00 Zaltbommel

We brought a lunch voucher, and it was handled promptly. The food was good. The bill was between 20 and 30 euros if you didn't bring a lunch voucher.

We had lunch here. I had beef strips, my wife a Caesar salad. The food was tasty, but far too small for lunch. The three beef strips were served with four whole fries and some fruit. My partner had a meager salad. Both of us had very little, more of a side dish, certainly not enough for lunch. Afterward, we just had fries to fill us up. This was our second time; the previous time was dinner, but the amount was the same.

Cozy restaurant in the beautiful, historic town of Zaltbommel. Delicious food and a change from the usual restaurants. Great atmosphere and fast service. Highly recommended.

We received a friendly welcome and were helped immediately, which I have no complaints about. Then I got the starter. I chose salmon and the other chose beef strips, but they were both quite dry, and the salmon wasn't all that great either. For the main course, we both had the chicken wings, which was unfortunately a disappointment because they were incredibly dry and bland. I mentioned this to the waitress. I expected some kind of compensation, like a house drink, because it really wasn't made well. Then we were asked if we wanted dessert, but we skipped it. In terms of value for money, I thought €97.85 was quite expensive for two courses, two main courses, and two drinks... If the food was excellent, that would be fine. The waitress was very nice, though!

Friendly waitresses, tables very close together, luckily it wasn't busy so there was still a decent amount of space because no one was sitting behind us. The food was good, especially the passion fruit tart! I did think the price was a bit steep, I have to say... I paid over 7 euros for a small side order of fries (just enough for two people), and a starter of 19 euros is also quite expensive for 5 strips of meat.

I went to this restaurant yesterday. I was treated very kindly on the phone, and they even let me bring my dog, who was welcome if he stayed calm. That was a nice and welcoming start. Upon arrival, we received a friendly welcome. We ordered steak strips and one with salmon from the hot appetizers, and they tasted okay. Later, we ordered a dish with chicken, cashews, and a creamy sauce. Unfortunately, it was very disappointing: the sauce wasn't very creamy, and the dish was so salty that neither of us could finish it. The most annoying thing was that at a certain point I no longer felt welcome. The staff, especially me, looked at us unfriendly, which made the atmosphere uncomfortable. That was a shame, especially since the start seemed so positive. All in all, not a pleasant experience, and I wouldn't rush back.

Delicious dishes, something different on the menu. A generous portion of meat in the stew was delicious! It's a shame the passion fruit tart was gone, because that's what I came for. I'd love to come back for the other dishes. The tables inside were a bit cramped, but otherwise, it's a nice place!

Excellent lunch, fish and tomato soup (both deliciously spicy) with pulled chicken arepa. Very friendly and good service, perfect price (social deal). We will definitely return when we're in the area again.

Had a great meal again, spare ribs are deliciously marinated, you really have to "work" to get the meat off the bone. We'd happily drive from Tilburg to Zaltbommel for it.

Excellent food and menu, excellent waitress, perfect location, we loved the playlist, good value. So many reasons to love this small restaurant. Lots of tables on a Tuesday but I'd book at the weekend. I recommend the areas as an interesting starter. The main courses are a good size and very tasty.

I had the spareribs, which were fatty and not tender, rather tough, I couldn't even get through them with my knife. Really too bad! The taste was good though and my partner's food was delicious. Plato de Argentina (or something like that) not a cozy atmosphere. Not worth repeating for me.

The fried egg was very small, the 2 slices of bread were not even covered with it. We asked for pepper and salt, but never got it. The waitress made mistakes at every table. I got my pistoletje and she said, here is your wrap please... When paying she asked if everything was to my liking. I honestly gave my findings. The waitress started crying loudly... this was certainly not my intention and she was certainly not responsible for the too small portions of food. Sad, but not to be repeated.

Very tasty meal, probably due to a lack of staff, there was a change of service for a while and I think that lady got out of bed on the wrong side. But that didn't spoil the fun. The food was very tasty and it is a cozy and cozy restaurant to eat.

Prior to our visit, we contacted by phone to ask about gluten-free options. We were told that almost everything could be adapted to fit a gluten-free diet. Once we arrived at the restaurant, which smelled of smoke, the reality turned out to be something different. The deep fryer was also used for gluten-containing products, which meant that cross-contamination could not be ruled out and a large number of dishes were eliminated. As an appetizer we ordered nachos with guacamole. The guacamole had a creamy avocado flavor, but was way too salty. We chose stew and spare ribs as a main course. The main courses were served with rice and tropical fruit. The fruit was a pleasant break from the slightly spicy spareribs. However, the spareribs were quite dry. Since the desserts were not gluten-free, we skipped dessert.

We had a delicious meal here with a group of six people.

I discovered this great place to eat while I was walking throuhg the city, I was surprised when I saw some food of my country Venezuela, I ordered a fish soup, it was powerfull and very good, I will return to this restaurant next time, the service was excellent! if you want to try a piece of latinamerica, specially of the beautiful Venezuela in the Netherlands, I totally recommend it!

Ate here on the weekend. The food was very disappointing. Starters (shrimp in garlic and steaks in chimichurri sauce) were ok. Both main courses: Paquete de pescado and spareribs were not ok. For 2 pieces of fish and half a prawn (?) 28.5 euros was not value for money (besides a bone that was served with the fish) ... the spare ribs were very dry, sticky and without taste that you could not even eat it properly .... For 115 euros we could have eaten better somewhere else ... very shame.

Wat een heerlijke lunch hebben we gehad in La Latina. Na een hartelijke ontvangst, konden we zitten waar we wilden. Het was niet druk, waardoor wij gezellig hebben kunnen kletsen. Wat opvalt op de kaart is dat er veel eieren en kaas worden gebruikt, maar er is genoeg keuze voor iedereen. We gaan zeker terug, maar dan voor het diner!

Taste of food is not delicious. Design of plate was very nice. But taste of food is not coherent with the design of the plate. Atmosphere of the restaurant was nice. Service was great.

A very quiet weekday provided little atmosphere even though it looked quite nice. There were 2 of us inside. 1st Waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable, but she had to leave. Waitress 2 tried very hard but was young and inexperienced. Preliminary steak with chimi churri sauce and pico gallo salad was delicious. Steak in jute was absolutely very tasty, but I think about 125 grams of meat maximum. Furthermore, some exotic fruits and vegetables, no spuds, rice or the like. Dessert was way below par. Only 2 drinks for the (2) man, but €125 lighter, which is a big disappointment. I expected much more from this experienced catering family. Missed opportunity, too bad.

We may have eaten there at the wrong time, but we are certainly not happy with our experience there. Things started off wrong right away. The vast majority of the cocktails were not available because there were no limes in the house, the night before a "large" group (12 people) had apparently enjoyed the cocktails and well, they were gone. (I don't think it should be so difficult to replenish stock on a Sunday these days?) As part of Halloween, a menu was offered. With the main courses, one was also out of stock, again due to the actions of the same company. Then I chose something else, creamy chicken with cashew nuts, which sounded good. The starters were brought to the table quite quickly and tasted quite good, it was fresh and piping hot, with the caveat that the shrimp in spicy garlic sauce contained so much garlic that I think I spent an hour in the freezer for the rest of the evening. wind must have stunk and also very salty. Luckily I like garlic and salt. Soon after, the main courses were brought. The creamy chicken turned out to be anything but creamy and quite spicy. I am used to Indonesian and Indian cuisine and can have it very spicy, so it tasted quite good to me. However, I did indicate that I still found the description to be misleading and that I would have been quite bothered by the word creamy if I had received a spicy dish that was not creamy at all and had not liked it spicy. The service was a bit ad hoc and messy, the girl was apparently busy on her own. (there were 16 people inside) Then the desserts, here too we looked a bit shy when we wanted to order the creme catalane: eeuhhhm, that company from the previous evening again. This time we did not hide our annoyance and had to come up with a proposal ourselves to somewhat compensate for this lack. When the dessert was served, we were immediately asked if we wanted coffee right away, I immediately understood why; If we had said no, she could have already cleaned the machine. Unfortunately, my sister would still have another cup. Wrong... the coffee already looked suspicious... weak bite... pale color... and yes, it didn't taste good at all. Then I was done. I grabbed the cup and brought it to the bar. Prepare the bill for me and leave out the coffee because it's not drinkable! She didn't even blink, ooh...ok, and nothing else. Paid the bill without tipping a single cent, which to me really means that you did a very bad job. Usually I'm definitely not the faintest. Not worth repeating, partly due to the amateurish service. Too bad because when I read the reviews it really should be better.

Delicious food at La Latina! Highly recommended for a fun and cozy evening. Small restaurant with a cozy warm atmosphere. The food is really delicious! Salmon tartare, cocodillo, steak and chicken with cashew nuts. One of the better restaurants we have eaten at and will definitely come back again. Also a tip; take a cocktail from the menu!

Actually not worthy of a star. Spare ribs are UNPRICEABLE, very dry. They don't know kindness either. It's a waste of money, you might as well throw it down the drain straight away. NEVER AGAIN for us.

Delicious food. Friendly staff and nice background music. All four of us had a different main course and all four were super tasty; spare ribs, steak, stew and fejitas with delicious shrimp, chicken and beef. Tip: Also leave some room for dessert.

On Saturday afternoon (June 1, 2024) we heard Christel De Laat talk about the delicious spare ribs at La Latina with Graat and De Laat on Omroepbrabant. We reserved a table for two directly via the website at 7:00 PM. At 7:00 PM we sat down in the cozy, cozy and colorful restaurant. The service was friendly and hospitable. We enjoyed the delicious spare ribs and it was indeed as Christel said in the broadcast: a culinary orgasm! It is highly recommended and the drive from Veldhoven was definitely worth it. Unfortunately, our experience was not very positive. Sweet girl who had to serve the entire ground floor, which was full, while the owner at the bar behind her laptop did not lift a finger. Crocodile starter was a mini piece, I had the white fish which was prepared in lemon juice. Of course you know that it has a fresh, slightly sour taste, but I have never had anything so bad. Neatly indicated, but according to the chef, that was what you heard, a pity the fish could not be tasted and could not be eaten without a cramped face, which then burned in your stomach. Advice: always agree with the customer and offer an alternative. The meat was okay with some rice and fruit showing some rotten spots. We wanted dessert but unfortunately the waitress was so busy that she didn't get around to clearing the table and helping us. Fortunately, the owner was able to free up time from her laptop to help us with payment..... We are not very demanding eaters, but unfortunately not a second time here for us.

The food here was delicious!! Service super pleasant. Only the interior could be a little more 'Latina'/colorful/Latin American to my taste, but that should not spoil the pleasant and wonderful experience! Really worth it; These people can cook and are super original with all kinds of exotic fruits combined with the main meal.

We received a Wonderbox and redeemed it at La Latina in Zaltbommel. What a pleasant surprise!! Delicious food, great service, quick service, extensive menu. Really great!! The only downside is that the tables are very close together, so you sometimes have the feeling that you are sitting at the neighbors table.

A nice surprise. Considering the late hours we went there to lunch, we can't say that we wait to long: about 40m for 5 persons. The food was tasty and the plates were nicely presented, since the entrance till the deserts. A nice wine was served. Considering everything we eat, the price was on the average. Looking forward to repeat.

De prijs/kwaliteit/kwantiteit verhouding klopt niet. Bijna €30 voor 3 matige harde tacos die niet de hoeveel rijst, vlees en groente kunnen bevatten is €10 teveel. De rest was ook te duur, maar niet zo buitensporig.

Op 15-10-23 gegeten bij La Latina en dat was heerlijk. Gezellig en je waant je even op vakantie. Serveerster waren super aardig. Wij gaan er zeker weer een keer eten

Super heerlijk eten voor een degelijke prijs. Super service. Super huiselijke sfeer met een zuid amerikaanse insteek. Je waant je echt even ergens anders. Soms lijkt en portie wat kleiner maar hier kun je je goed op verkijken. Altijd heerlijk gegeten en meer dan voldaan naar huis. Één van mijn favorieten!

This place offers Mexicaans food, but it sees more like a bar than a restaurant. The service was okay and the people friendly, but the extra mile for a pleasant feeling was not given. In general we had different expectation ans outcome, but in case we just want to have cocktail night that would be the place. It's well located in the city close to the water

Latijns Amerikaans restaurant, gezellig ingericht in het centrum van vestingstad Zaltbommel. Hartelijk ontvangen en vlotte bediening. Ruime keuze menukaart. Lekkere vissoep en paella gegeten en dessert. Een aanrader voor iedereen.

Voor een echte eetbeleving moet je bij La Latina zijn! Door de sfeervolle aankleding van het restaurant bevind je je gelijk al in Zuid Amerikaanse sferen. Zodra je de kaart opent, kom je erachter dat dit niet het typische daghap restaurant is. Een uitgebreid menu waarbij het moeilijk is om een keuze te maken, omdat je eigenlijk gewoon nieuwsgierig bent naar alles op de kaart. Als voorgerecht zijn wij voor de arepas gegaan, dit is een echte aanrader. Vlak na het voorgerecht kwam het hoofdgerecht al door. Zoals op de foto te zien is, krijg je ruime porties en zijn de borden erg smakelijk opgemaakt met heerlijk vers fruit! De nachos met rundvlees waren om je vingers bij af te likken, maar ook de vega variant viel erg in de smaak. De fajitas met kip waren verrassend, dit is echt zoals ik ze nergens heb gehad. Na het vele eten wilden we toch nog een dessert want ook daar wilden we graag nieuwe dingen proeven. Tipje van de sluier: ga voor de passievrucht taart ;) Een heerlijke avond met uiterst vriendelijke bediening (je zit nooit met een leeg glas) snelle service en een eerlijke prijs. Dikke aanrader.

Laagdrempelig en informeel. Lekker eten met veel verschillende soorten fruit en extra's (fajita).
