Grand Café Halewijn in Wijk 01 Stadskern

A few points of criticism: a glass of Fanta was overpriced and had no juice left in it. The coffee was delicious, but the food was quite expensive. A toasted sandwich was almost 9 euros and really nothing special.

Conclusion: Homemade cake or vegan bitterballen, both are fine 😋 We were just here for a quick snack, sat outside, and enjoyed the view of the courtyard (market square). Unfortunately, the kitchen had just closed (3:30 p.m.), but they still had borreplankjes and cake. Both the homemade cheesecake and the vegan bitterballen with mustard were delicious. The smoothie, also homemade, could have probably used a couple more turns in the blender, but it was freshly made and also delicious. The service was friendly and attentive, but not intrusive. The restrooms were clean and gender-neutral. We paid by card.

Excellent coffee, delicious cakes, and typical Dutch snacks. Daily soup special... Today: Broccoli :)

Disfrutamos mucho de Sterijn. Sirven comida de buena calidad a un precio decente. Tiene un ambiente agradable y Steijn es un camarero muy amable.

The chai latte wasn't that good. The oat milk chocolate milk was truly awful. But the apple cake was actually quite good.

Prima eten, lekker op smaak. Weinig groenten en een stukje aardappel. Aan te bevelen om iets extra's er bij te bestellen. Het drinken stond snel op tafel wat we van het eten niet konden zeggen. 50 minuten gewacht. Er zat een groep van ca 8 vrienden aan de andere kant van de zaak en het was voor ons moeilijk communiceren, het klinkt erg hol.

A beautiful café in downtown Amersfoort, open from 9am. Lots of places outside, shady or in the sun. Comfortable chairs and there is something to look at on the square. I had a cappuccino and a croissant, both were very good! The service was very friendly and warm in her manner and the other guests were well looked after. Some seniors at the next table who probably meet here for their daily coffee. Nice! From here you are directly in the pedestrian zone and in shops. I'll remember this café because I like that you're not so cramped.

Met een groep via social deal geboekt. Zeer lekker gegeten. Shared dining concept met oa flammkuchen, carpaccio, , tartaar van rode biet, bavette, buikspek, witte chocolademousse. Service was goed en erg leuke inrichting.

Gezellig knus restaurant waar wij hebben genoten van het diner. Verassend en zeer smaakvol. Warm onthaal en goede bediening. Klasse hoe deze broer en zus deze tent hebben opgezet, maar zeker ook hoe ze het runnen!

Beautiful grand cafe, where you can have a delicious breakfast on a really sunny terrace. With top staff, who are attentive and active to serve you as quickly as possible. But the sandwiches are so tasty that unfortunately you can't stay away from them. See my photo.

We hebben ongelooflijk lekker gegeten. De kokkin is echt goud waard en de bediening is ook uiterst vriendelijk. We zijn hier meerdere malen geweest en maken in onze omgeving reclame voor dit restaurant omdat we alleen maar goede ervaringen hebben.

Cozy, beautiful location right on the Hof. Ideal to sit down for a coffee, lunch and to sit comfortably.

If you come here during the week, you will see many seniors who come for a cup of coffee and a cake. On Friday and Saturday, market days, all kinds of market visitors come to rest with a cup of soup or sandwich. Nice that there are also newspapers and a windowsill full of leaflets with what there is to do in Amersfoort. It's also quite easy to have a chat with other customers. Halewijn is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. I particularly like the cappuccino and toasted sandwiches.

Voor herhaling vatbaar, heerlijk kwalitatief goed eten. Hebben genoten. Leuke gastheer, relaxte sfeer. Komen zeker nog eens terug.

Super nice tent in the heart of Amersfoort! Very nice and soothing music in the background and fresh food that also tastes fresh. Staff friendly and helpful, you quickly feel at home. Definitely come here again!

Bij een bezoek aan Amersfoort geluncht bij dit grand-café en dat was een prima keuze. Vriendelijk personeel, zaak ziet er netjes en sfeervol uit en de lunchgerechten waren prima verzorgd. We kozen een sandwich en salade en vonden beide smaakvol, al had er van ons wel iets minder saus op gemogen, maar we begrijpen dat ik ook een kwestie van smaak is.

Ideal place for your Sunday brunch. One of the few places in Amersfoort that is open every morning. Excellent food and drinks. Nice terrace. And the luxurious breakfast is highly recommended!

Nice cafe with tables in the large square, friendly service. Fresh smoothies and apple pie. Gladly again.

Binnen gelopen voor een late lunch. Keuze viel op een uitsmijter en tosti. Beiden waren heerlijk en de bediening was vlot en vriendelijk. Prijs viel alleszins mee. Een echte aanrader als je wat wilt eten of drinken in Amersfoort.

Goede koffie maar wat fris en koud met de deur open ivm covid. Zeer vriendelijke bediening.

Zeer matige cappuccino ,lauw en veel schuim.Appelcake met slagroom veel te duur €.4.85.Dit was voor ons eens maar nooit meer.
