Grand cafe restaurant Bij5 in Wijk 01 Naaldwijk

I stumbled upon The Roasted Bean Café during a weekend trip and was pleasantly surprised. This cozy little spot, tucked away on a quiet street corner, feels like a warm hug as soon as you step inside. The aroma of freshly ground coffee fills the air, and soft indie music plays in the background. I ordered their signature caramel mocha, and it was hands down one of the smoothest and richest coffees I've ever had — perfectly balanced, not overly sweet. The staff were incredibly friendly, chatting with regulars by name and making newcomers like me feel welcome. They even had a small shelf of books and board games, which made it a perfect spot to relax. The seating is limited, so it’s best to go during quieter hours, but it’s worth the wait. Whether you’re a coffee lover, a remote worker, or someone just looking for a peaceful corner to unwind, this café is a gem. I’ll definitely come back next time I’m in town.

Nice terrace, with shade. No contact or welcome on the terrace, first contact was after +/- 10 minutes I think. The orange juice, well, is rather meager, not pure juice (diluted). Leffe on tap, nice and cold. But he did sit with an empty glass for almost half an hour, without being asked if I wanted another one. The burger at €17, fries/mayo separately at an additional cost, was not the greatest success. The bacon was thick and tough (nothing crispy). Almost impossible to get through with your fork, knife or teeth. The hamburger itself was very thick, nicely fried on the outside but very red on the inside, and very firm, also difficult to get through with your knife. Apparently flattened piece of minced meat without additives, but personally I like it if there is something in it, for example, so that it is easier to eat. (so softer/looser and juicier). It turns out afterwards that you have to order the hamburger as a steak and they ask for “medium” or “well done”. That is a shame because I do not like undercooked hard (pressed) not juicy hamburgers. Too bad I did not know in advance that it is necessary to indicate a cooking preference. I believe that the law also states that hamburgers (meat) may only be sold fully cooked or under conditions and agreement with the customer, e.g. medium rare. The lettuce was nice and fresh and crispy. In summary, the terrace is nice to stay, both options for sun or shade, but e.g. the hamburger and orange juice were found to be mediocre. The carpaccio salad was experienced as excellent. The strawberry dessert was also excellent. I would go there again, if you have the time and leave the hamburger alone.

We had made a reservation...1 guest was a bit late...staff handled this very adequately. A delicious brunch and nice, cozy, Service... Worth repeating.

A bit of a vague location. People who work there are super friendly. But the quality varies so much. First ordered a mojito, well that was completely useless, this one went back and then a good one came. And the next three were terrible again and this one was also sent back. Went a week later and exactly the same. I'm afraid a course is needed. Ordered a cannon triple or whatever that thing is called. And then I was told that it would take a bit longer because the carbon dioxide was gone, that's no problem either. The only sad thing about this was that they had probably already tapped half of the carbon dioxide-free triple. So after a while I got a triple that was as dead as anything. Also got a corona with rubbish on the bottom. (And no, it wasn't the lime) Too bad, it's a nice place with friendly people, but a bit of training wouldn't hurt. We'll try it again sometime, but for now we're going to look for another place.

Every time a feast. I would like to have the carpaccio with stew every day.

A bit difficult if you want to see outside, but there is smoking around you, which is medically harmful. The lunch was good and tasted good!

Nice setting in a historic building. Service is excellent. Smooth, attentive and very friendly. Food is excellent and reasonably priced, also in a perfect portion (for us). In my opinion, highly recommended and I will definitely return. No sooner said than done. Today we went for the Mother's Day package. In one word excellent. A lot for a more than reasonable price. And the exceptionally friendly staff really makes me happy.

The restaurant was beautiful on the square and the atmosphere of the restaurant is nice. Unfortunately, that's it, although the restaurant might be a good location for a drink, the dinner was poor. There were a total of 5 main dishes on the menu, one of which could not be served. The carpaccio starter arrived half frozen and tasteless. As a main course the hamburger was raw on the inside. This was then sent back to the kitchen, after which the chef then said that it would not be a problem, not only is this poor service, it is also dangerous. There are also hardly any options for dessert. Long story short, it is not recommended.

A cozy restaurant in the center of Naaldwijk, a historic building that adds its atmosphere. Delicious food, good service. I had some corrections regarding the preparation of dishes, I am very grateful that everything was taken into account. I recommend this establishment for a good rest ❤️

We were having lunch. Found it difficult to eat from the mango baskets. And there was too little mango in it

No drinks menu for non-alcoholic options. The only thing that comes to mind is tea/coffee/cola, but I go to restaurants to drink/eat something else and I also don't trust places where you don't see the price in advance. I wouldn't come back because of this.

Pure bad! Shrimp fried too long, fries, fried 3 times, meat not warm. Let alone being asked about the cooking. Chimichuri is different from a parsley sauce. Cheese board old-fashioned incomplete and Old Amsterdam is something other than the rock-hard edge of the last piece. Beautiful building but that's all.

03-08-2024 was my father's wedding here and of course I was present. Beautifully organized by the staff. The entire courtyard at the “rear” of the building was transformed into a beautiful wedding location. Everyone was provided with snacks and drinks and you could see that the staff really enjoyed the beautiful day and the nice conversations that were had. Afterwards I ate a delicious 3-course menu of which I have nothing to complain about, and that also applies on behalf of the family. Delicious! All in all, this was the perfect day to celebrate my dad's wedding here and I will definitely come back for other occasions!

Good for dining. The lunch menu is also excellent. But a nice place for a cup of coffee in the sun and Bij5 distinguishes itself from others by adding a delicious piece of cake. Staff super friendly. Bij5 is slightly more expensive, but then you have and get more.

Tasty in itself, but 1 mini slice of meat on a vitello tonnato for 13.50 was far too poor. Luckily there was a boiled egg so I could top the second sandwich with it. The lady serving was very good.

Wat een tof restaurant is dit. Leuk, sfeervol interieur. Modern maar toch ook gezellig en warm. Op de kaart voor elk wat wils, enigszins eenvoudige gerechten maar absoluut lekker en goed te betalen. We zijn heel snel geholpen en ze gingen leuk om met onze kinderen. Aanrader!

Alles zoals het hoort, zeer behulpzaam en vriendelijk personeel een zeer bekwame keuken en een fantastische locatie. Voorgerecht werd speciaal voor ons gemaakt op verzoek omdat het niet helemaal op de kaart stond. Desert tip : de aardbeien Romanoff, werkelijk fantastisch.

Heerlijk geluncht als cadeau van mijn zonen voor vaderdag. Veel geduld en een goede vlotte vriendelijke bediening. Zeker een aanrader!

Er was toen markt op het plein. Dus hebben we daar een pilsje gedronken.

Prima om even lekker te lunchen, hoewel de zelfgemaakte kroketten meer paneermeel dan ragout bevatten. Weinig vulling dus voor zo'n grote kroket.

Alles prettig in orde daar maar je moet het betalingssysteem daar goed in de gaten houden . Of het personeel??? Anyhow, toen wij teruggingen omdat ons groepje dubbel had betaald kregen we zonder dat het nog verder uitgezocht moest worden, meteen het dubbel afgerekende terugbetaald. En dat zet je toch aan het denken🤔

Heerlijk gegeten, mooie gerechten.

We hadden daar laatst een feestje. Maar de hapjes kwamen niet overal. Dat was wel jammer...dat was niet zo afgesproken hoorde we van het bruidspaar.

Er werd een te kleine hoeveelheid kabeljauw geserveerd in verhouding met de kosten.

"ff" een espresso om op te warmen tijdens een winderige zaterdag in maart (25e). Beetje een "vaste" pleisterplaats in Naaldwijk 😉.

Vriendelijke bediening en een uitstekende cappucino gedronken en heeeeerlijk gebak gegeten op het terras.

Prima locatie en mooi restaurant. Het eten was goed, al had ik liever gehad dat ze gevraagd hadden hoe ik mijn vlees gebakken wilde hebben. Wat mij erg tegen staat is dat je voor een glas Leffe blond hier 6 euro moet betalen. En dan heb je een klein glas. Dit gaat helemaal nergens meer over.

Heerlijk eten, goede bediening, fijne sfeer. We hebben een fijn avondje gehad waarbij we heerlijk ontspannen hebben gezeten en lekker gegeten. Zou het iedereen aanraden!

Met Valentijn weer heerlijk gegeten. We zaten deze keer boven, ook erg gezellig. Erg klantvriendelijk en leuk die jonge dame en heer die ons hielpen. We komen regelmatig bij Bij5 en is ons nog nooit tegengevallen👍 Allemaal Top
