This Grand Cafe has a great atmosphere. I wanted to visit it earlier but it was full. Now on a Tuesday I enjoyed a delicious Flammkuchen. Definitely visit here, but make a reservation in advance.

Maybe we were just unlucky, but I really don't see how this place has a 4.8-star rating. It took nearly an hour for our food to arrive. The risotto was just okay, and the chicken dish was disappointing—burnt and very small in portion. During peak dinner hours, one of the three staff members was having dinner themselves, which didn’t help the already slow service. On the positive side, the location is great, the interior is stylish, and the terrace is quite nice. The staff were friendly, despite the delay. That said, I wouldn’t recommend this place for dinner. It might be fine for a drink, but overall, it didn’t live up to our expectations.

Always thought when I walked past that it was more of a café-restaurant, but nothing could be further from the truth! It is a full-fledged restaurant that is definitely worth dining at. I had a wonderful meal there with surprisingly tasty dishes, beautifully presented and with friendly service. Highly recommended!

In short, you all did a perfect job 😃👍🏼. And then I forgot about the dessert 🫣. They were also excellent. Will definitely come back for a repeat!

A cozy little restaurant. Terrace: 5x 2-person tables in the Koestraat (not in the sun) where people regularly walk and cycle past. Delicious food, real attention is paid to it! Highly recommended in my opinion!

Last Friday evening, February 21, 2025 A warm welcome by the host, nice ambiance, nice decor and a delicious dinner! We chose the shared dining option and this is highly recommended to explore the menu or the skills of the chef in the kitchen! The various dishes, both starter and main, were truly delicious and refined in taste, attention had been paid to everything and a delicious dessert ended. Highly recommended if you like good food for an affordable price in a pleasant, relaxed environment. It is a relatively small business which ensures personal attention. We are working hard here :-) Thank you for the fun and delicious evening! On our next visit to Amersfoort, we would love to come back and recommend you to everyone!

Shared dining done, so tasting of everything. Delicious food, there was nothing that I wouldn't order as a complete dish. Courses could have been served a little faster, but it was also full and the two of them worked hard. It would be easier to wait a little longer with a sandwich on the table, but you can of course also just order it.

The food could be a little more 'spicy'. A bit too bland for our taste. But that's personal. Thumbs up for how the dessert was served, a huge, cheerfully decorated plate with a delicious warm apple pie! Entourage could use a little more decoration, but that is also personal. Service very nice and smooth.

Food was delicious, a little more vegetables (possibly as an option) would be nice. Cozy space where you can look into the kitchen. Both Sterre and Stijn do everything in a very relaxed way, which creates a nice atmosphere. There are both high and low tables, and you can also sit comfortably at the high tables. It is a bit colder near the window and door (it was also a very cold, windy day).

I came here Saturday afternoon for lunch. The place was small but charming, a bit busy because it's lunchtime and the server immediately told that the food will take 30mins, I was ok with that. When the food came I was blown away by the chips. It's probably the best chips I've tried. I don't live in Amersfoort but if I come here again I would definitely back for the chips. Does it cook in animal fat? Whatever it is, keep doing it, it's super scrumptious.

Excellent food. Some snacks were very tasty, other snacks were not very special.

Food was delicious, service very friendly. A very small downside was that the time between starter and main course was a bit long. But on the other hand, that main course was worth the wait. We will definitely come back!

The flavors were sublime and allowed for additional additions with pepper, salt or sauce and the follow-up of the dishes was also with nice intervals.
