Grand Café Xieje in Wijk 38 Laakkwartier en Spoorwijk

This coffee shop is truly deceptive. The service is terrible: the prices on the menu are scratched off, but they're charging ridiculously high prices. A glass of cola costs a whopping 4 euros. As soon as you've finished your drink, the waiter comes and takes your glass away and chases you away. Bringing your own drinks isn't allowed either. The waiter also gives you a surly look and is not friendly at all.

Heel slecht service, en te duur voor de locatie in Haagse school. Betaal je voor een zus oranje 6.30 € in het kleine glas voel met ijs .sorry hoor maar het klopt niet .

I missed my train stop and got off in the The Hague with a dead phone and no way to charge it. I found this coffee shop and was welcomed in. They helped me out immensely and I had an amazing cappuccino and the best apple cider I have ever had. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and sitting on the water sipping my drinks was the perfect start to my day.

Ordered an iced coffee, the server told me the wrong price cause for some reason its hard to have a drink menu. I asked for extra syrup. They ended charging me more than my friend who got the exact same order. And then didn’t even take responsibility for it. Really couldn’t care less. And on top of it the coffee was extremely watered down. Wont be coming back.

The bagel with salmon (sandwich of the week!) was really substandard: little salmon and a dry bagel. An hour later I was hungry again. Otherwise tasty, but for almost 11 euros you expect a bit more. It was also unclear whether the fresh gravy was fresh.

Great location for a snack and a drink, or a lunch or a company drink. However, it is quite cozy (read cramped).

Delicious food, super nice service from the staff and the atmosphere is very nice and homely. I have already eaten there 3 times after my study day and will definitely continue to do so.

A very nice café-restaurant opposite the Hague University of Applied Sciences in the Laak district. Very friendly staff and delicious dishes. The menu is simple but a lot of attention is paid to the dishes. These are well thought out and tasty. The business has a modern design. The bar is built high, which looks very nice in this business. It is also possible to sit on the terrace boat when the weather is nice.

Xieje is a great grand café. The lunch/dinner menu is diverse enough to offer something for everyone. It is also diverse in terms of drinks. Sufficient choice of beer and also wines and domestic/local distilled spirits. They often have work drinks between 5 & 7 pm and it can sometimes be very busy. It is advisable to come before or after if you are alone or with a small group. You're also in the right place here when it comes to atmosphere and service. Definitely recommended if you are looking for delicious food & drinks at an affordable rate!

Привітний та уважний персонал. Зайнятий, оскільки школа знаходиться недалеко. У мене був латте макіато. Він мав вершковий смак, але була дуже сильна піниста піна. Він витримав випробування ложкою. Ціна трохи вища за середню.

Aan het einde van de dag moet je de rest van het terras ook afrekenen, terwijl je zelf maar een paar drankjes hebt genuttigd. Dat wordt blijkbaar nog steeds niet goed bijgehouden. Het is al jaren een probleem. Tot vandaag: ik kom hier niet meer.

Lekker gegeten. Heel hip van een plankje. Minder handig voor mij want het eten viel aan de rand van het plankje af op de tafel. De tip wordt ter harte genomen. Zelf hou ik van een diep bord, maar dat is persoonlijk.

Lekkere betaalbare lunch nabij de Haagsche Hogeschool. Leuk terras, prima bediening.

Ok, maar wel slordig dat veel van de bieren op de kaart er niet waren.

Op m’n verjaardag even langs Xieje gegaan en wijntjes en aperol besteld. De aperol was 9 euro per glas!

Hübsches Lokal mit freundlicher Bedienung. Alle sehr herzlich. Stylisch eingerichtet. Es gab auch Tipps für die restlichen Tage in Den Haag. Gern wieder.

Ik kwam hier 20 jaar geleden als student. Ik kom er nu weer regelmatig zakelijk on wat te eten of te drinken en het zorgt ervoor dat die 20 jaar er 5 lijken. Er is hier niks veranderd en in dit geval vind ik dat positief! Goed en gezellig eten en drinken op één van de rustigere stukjes centrum Den Haag.

Prima plek voor korte lunch, of dinder, makkelijke kaart, prettige en vlotte bediening. Goede prijs/kwaliteit.

Xieje is just in front of Haagse Hoogeschool, so you can see lot of school boys n girls over here..nice food and drinks, little bit expensive .Order waiting time can be improve as I thought they are under staff compare to crowd they pull.
