Just a good restaurant with delicious food and a good host.

The food was delicious, just a tip for the husband to look a little more cheerful. But other than that, it was fun and delicious there.

Last night we went here for dinner with our grandson, and all three of us thoroughly enjoyed it. Our grandson had the tournedos, my husband the spaghetti with scampi, and I chose the rack of lamb. All three dishes were perfectly prepared and tasted excellent. For dessert, the men had a Dame Blanche, and I went for the Coupe with Nuts. It was truly delicious, especially the bueno sauce! I've found a new favorite dessert. The service was also very friendly, fast, and professional. Highly recommended. It was our first visit to this restaurant, but definitely not our last...

Recommendation: Absolutely fine! A good dinner atmosphere and excellent background music. Service by knowledgeable and informal people with good knowledge of the (pairing) wines. And above all, delicious food for a good quality-price ratio. Mushroom soup with chardonnay, cooked duck leg and skewered beef tenderloin with resp. an excellent Bardolino and a Primitivo and as the icing on the cake the coup amarena (with delicious cherries) accompanied by a vino del amore. In short, a very big 10! Will definitely come back.

For me it was an unexpected stroke of luck... I didn't expect this to be such a good restaurant. The food excellent, the host entertaining and excellent and the atmosphere also fine. Only the background music could be a bit more atmospheric. An idiot who pays attention to that. I will definitely come back here. It is one of the best restaurants in Heerlen (unless you like Greek restaurants... :))!!

Grand Turquise in Heerlen, a real insider tip. Where is Heerlen? In Holland. Approx. 40km from Aachen. You can dine like a prince at the Grand Turquise. The boss serves himself and his wife cooks. If you weren't there, you missed something in your life.

Update 01102023: Also visited in May 2023, only now another update. Once again got a table for 2 without a reservation. Nicely received, very friendly employees and a kitchen brigade that once again did their utmost to conjure up tasty dishes. Belongs to our top 5 in Heerlen. November 2022: Today the first introduction to Grand Turquoise. Didn't make a reservation but was still assigned a table for 2. Very friendly employees, delicious dishes with matching wines. Why haven't we been here before?

We were able to join us last Friday and Saturday and we don't regret it. Extremely friendly service (you don't feel like a customer but are really treated as a guest) and delicious menus. The non-alcoholic cocktails were fantastic. Unfortunately not in the area, otherwise we would come here more often!

We have now eaten at Grand Turquoise twice. This was twice with a group. The first time was fine, food was fine. Not much choice. With the large group there was a lot of noise in the room. Unfortunately, you couldn't understand the person sitting opposite you. Second time also with a group. Like a farewell dinner. The entire table ordered a starter and a main course. Now something had gone wrong with one of the starters. Then the owner came to serve this. We mentioned that we had ordered another starter while the entire table except for one person already had the starter in front of them. How the owner responded was very unprofessional. He acted as if it was our fault and that we had to eat the wrong dish. He really wasn't going to take it back into the kitchen. To finish. It took us a total of 4 hours to have dinner. That for a starter and main course. Which in my opinion could have easily been done in two hours. My experience will never make me return to this restaurant.

The food was delicious, well prepared, made with love. For once the menu did not contain the standard dishes. There was a value menu with various choices, a wide range of wines and super friendly service. In any other restaurant you are the king, at least often. Here you are the emperor. Do yourself a favor and enjoy yourself here. A rare experience at a friendly price.

Today we had dinner here with ten of us for Christmas dinner. Choice of 3 or 4 courses, optionally with wine pairing. Everything was equally tasty and well taken care of. The portions were on the generous side. Very friendly service. All in all, a wonderfully relaxing Christmas Day, just as we hoped. If you still have doubts, just do it, you won't regret it.

Heerlijk gegeten super vriendelijke bediening Mooie sfeer.

Vanavond hier gegeten ter gelegenheid van het mooiste 50 jarig huwelijksfeest ooit. Het eten was heerlijk, echt heel lekker. Maar de gastvrijheid overtrof alles. Wat een warme bediening! Alsof je er al jaren komt. Dikke complimenten voor de gastheer en -dames. Jullie hebben ons vanavond erg gelukkig gemaakt. Bedankt en tot ziens!

In het centrum gelegen, mooi ingericht restaurant met buitenterras. Zowel de bediening als kwaliteit van het eten was volledig naar verwachting, erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel die ook echt de tijd voor de klant nemen. Het eten was goed en ligt in lijn met de uitstraling van het restaurant. Zeker een aanrader en voor herhaling vatbaar!

In 1 woord... voortreffelijk! Van gastvrijheid, tot diner en aanbod aan wijnen. Het eten was perfect... qua smaak als qua opmaak! Wij hebben mogen genieten van coquilles, octopus en tounedos... allen even goed. Een echte aanrader!

14-05-2023 (Moederdag): Vandaag met zijn tweën gaan eten bij Grand Turquoise omdat we 23 jaar samen zijn. Vanwege moederdag was er een aangepaste kaart (zeer begrijpenlijk). Deze kaart vond ik persoonlijk iets te beperkt, slecht twee keuze's per gang (tip van mijzelf, ga voor drie keuzes). Er zijn slechts twee smaken die ik niet lekker vind ( Zalm en Truffel) helaas waren dit dus precies de smaken die je kon kiezen voor het voorgerecht 😬. Nu laat ik me daar natuurlijk niet door uit het veld slaan en ben ik gegaan voor de zalm. Wat blijkt het zag er prachtig uit en smaakte heerlijk (chapeau). Tussengerechten Simpele runderboullion of aspergesoep erg veilige keuze. Helaas vond ik ook de keuze voor de hoofdgerechten erg simpel (te simpel zelfs). Witte vis met ouderwetse witte wijnsaus of Hoenderfilet (Kipfilet dus) jammer! De smaak en de opmaak van beide gerechten waren oké. Tip doe de mayonaise gewoon in een kommetje of zo, kwam nu in zo'n uitrekbaar bakje wat je in een snackbar krijgt (past niet in een restaurant). Het toetje hadden ze geen enkele moeite in gestopt aardbeien met vanilleijs en slagroom of Dameblache. Het personeel doet het prima maar iets meer interactie met de klant kan het verschil maken. Kortom, niet slecht maar het kan zeker beter.

Heerlijk gegeten hier eigenaar en personeel heel vriendelijk!Was wel rustig in de zaak wat ik wel jammer vond!Maar echt de moeite waard om hier ook eens heen te gaan!
