The food was delicious and top-notch. The fish dish was excellent. The apple tarte tatin was unfortunately far too sweet; otherwise, I would have given it 5 stars.

Nice place, but there are some areas for improvement. The staff eats together (including using their phones) in the restaurant, and guests are allowed to enjoy it in the restaurant with bottles of cola, spa, etc., on the table. (We recommend eating in a separate room.) Unfortunately, there's no drinks menu (I missed one). The server said you'll have to ask the chef for that, but he still suggested a small appetizer (a compliment and suggested a possible improvement). The service is also polite and friendly, though one young man (popiejopie) was walking around to tables and performing acrobatics with the glass or bottle, which is not appropriate in such a nice establishment. Mijn Streek has reopened with a slightly new decor and a great atmosphere. We recently had lunch there. The quality was excellent (as we've come to expect from Noon, which now runs Mijn Streek). The staff was young and highly motivated, and the menu and wines were excellent. We're so glad this unique restaurant is back. Highly recommended!

The location is fantastic. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and full of humor. My 10-year-old grandson loves delicious and unusual food and had a wonderful evening, thanks in part to the pleasant interaction with the staff. My daughter and I also had a delicious meal. It was a wonderful experience on a "normal" Thursday evening. We highly recommend Mijn Streek. It certainly wasn't our last visit.

The food, decor, and service were excellent. Absolutely nothing to complain about. It's a shame you have to book a time slot, which detracts from the hospitality a bit and made it feel a bit rushed. Otherwise, nothing wrong with it. Everything was of good quality and perfectly seasoned with lovely wines. Definitely worth returning. Along with restobar g1 and their good people, this great trio guarantees good food and drinks in the center of Heerlen.

Dining at a high altitude in the heart of Heerlen. We've been here several times since it opened about a month ago. The first time was for dinner with six of us. We made a reservation in advance and requested a nice table. We were told over the phone that due to the crowds, they had split the evening into two: the first seating from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and the second from 8:15 PM to 11:00 PM. We chose the first option and were greeted cheerfully by a lovely young woman who led us to a lovely table by the window. We were given the menu and were pleasantly surprised by the selection of food and drinks. We were even allowed to taste the wines before ordering. Excellent. The only minor drawback was the excessive temperature of the otherwise excellent red wine. We chose a la carte from the menu for a starter, main course, and dessert. Everything was perfectly seasoned, perfectly prepared, and portioned. From beef tartare to salmon and delicious truffle ravioli to venison. What was even more striking was the relaxed atmosphere, where the youthful, efficient, and spontaneous service really shined. Thank you to the "Mijn streek" team for this fantastic evening; keep up the good work.

Went for dinner with friends on Friday evening. The atmosphere was great (pun intended)! Exceptionally friendly and attentive service. We received wine and food pairings, and both were delicious. Highly recommended!

Saturday lunch. Beautiful location. Friendly staff. Drinks were nearly gone. I misordered three times. It happens. But a week after opening? Lunch was very tasty. Excellent. There's a nice little bowl of olive oil, salt, and pepper on the table. But that's useless if you don't get bread with it. So I ordered it. Delicious. However, €5 for one small sandwich??? Just put it on the table as standard. On the house. Maybe with a few olives. It would be better to remove the high table at the entrance. It looks like they're holding meetings with suppliers or self-proclaimed "notables" there... I've seen it elsewhere in Heerlen too. Strange.

Truly unique place - young, motivated team, top selection of wine and a well curated menu. Special roof top location and not your average, “boring” fine dining place. Very reasonable priced - 100% not the last time I went here.

Yesterday, November 5, 2025, was the opening after the change of owner and chef. So all previous reviews are no longer accurate. What a pleasant surprise last night! There was absolutely nothing to complain about; all the dishes exceeded expectations, the staff were friendly, and the restaurant was beautifully renovated/redecorated. We will definitely be back! Hats off to you guys and toi toi toi!

UPDATE: 10/12/24 As of today, my salary for November 27th hasn’t been paid. UWV beginning investigation. Lawyer working on next steps. I strongly advise against working with this company due to the following issues: 1. No Contract Provided Despite repeatedly requesting a contract, I was never given one. This is highly unprofessional and concerning. 2. Chronic Late Payments Payments were consistently delayed with various excuses. My first payment was late, and the issue worsened over time, with delays extending from days to weeks. 3. Disrespectful Workplace Behavior The owner often spoke negatively about other staff members behind their backs, which created a toxic work environment. 4. Lack of Support During Sick Leave I was transparent about my health during the interview process, including my recovery from surgery. Despite this, the owner became visibly frustrated with my extended sick leave and started delaying payments. 5. Unfair Treatment of Sick Employees While I was on sick leave, the owner accused me of not being invested in my role and pressured me to sign documents I wasn’t comfortable with. Additionally, the owner discouraged me from contacting the UWV, which I found suspicious. The UWV later confirmed that my sickness reports were not submitted, and they are now investigating the company. 6. Ongoing Legal Actions My lawyer has repeatedly sent letters demanding payment, which the company ignored. After a final warning to pay by December 4th, I am still waiting for my salary. 7. Mental and Financial Stress Not knowing when I will receive my salary has been overwhelming, especially while dealing with health issues. Some employees seem to be paid on time, but others, like me, are not. Many staff members leave due to dissatisfaction with the owner. The UWV has confirmed that the company’s failure to report my sick leave may result in fines. Additionally, the toxic work environment and ongoing payment issues make this company one to avoid. I’m sharing my experience to warn others. While the owner claims I’m trying to damage his business, it’s clear he does not prioritize the mental health or financial welfare of his employees. From now on, my lawyer will handle this case, and I will not be contacting the company further.

Te duur voor wat je krijgt. De softshell crab is vooral een hele dikke paneerlaag met weinig smaak en te bruin gefrituurd. De latte macchiato is lauw en ook na klacht blijft die lauw, kan niet warmer want dan brandt de melk aan was antwoord.. het uitzicht is dan wel weer mooi..

Nice view, but the portions were small for the price and nothing special. I had a burger for 11.90. It was okay, but there are better tasting options. The service was very friendly.

Ik vond het eten gemiddeld. Vleesgerechten die wel lekker waren maar niet spannend en waar verder ook niks extra op het bord lag en wat modernere gerechten met meer elementen en poespas waarvan ik de smaak dan weer minder vond. Had er meer van verwacht op basis van de beoordelingen.

Quality really deteriorated after the takeover, hence the library being taken away, it's a shame, it's a nice location, but I'll pass for the time being.

Nice atmosphere with professional service. Dishes are very well prepared and tasty. Portions of the cold dishes are price-wise on the higher side. Fries, salad and warm vegetables have their own price. Aperitifs are recommended, especially the cocktail with bergamot.

We waren al een paar maanden niet meer geweest maar blij vanavond weer in onze favoriete Brasserie te hebben gegeten. Nog steeds super vriendelijke bediening, lekkere Limburgse wijnen en een heerlijke menu. Het nieuwe gerecht tagliatelle tartufo was top, zalig met de bavette en bloedsinaasappelsaus. Dank aan het team van Brasserie Mijn Streek voor een geweldige vrijdagavond.

The sweet potato fries and cream brûlée are sooo good, plus the service of the staff is so thoughtful, the spectacular view also makes the price worth!!

Not too warm a welcome. The lady was clearly hot and looked overworked. Desired table not available although not occupied. But maybe 4 people will come. Ordered 2 beef croquettes. Clearly marked no shrimp croquet. The table still had to be cleaned while the food was already coming. WITH yes, 1 shrimp croquet and quite expensive considering what is offered. Beautiful view over Heerlen? If you like roofs, yes. Atmospheric? We have a different feeling about that. Can you sit on the terrace? Looks like an aquarium. Sweltering hot. Without parasols or shade cloths. The place itself is also stuffy. And the open terrace door didn't help either. In short. Very disappointing for us and not at all what we expected given the positive description. Giving reviews through the business is not possible. Must create an account first. So a little surprised at this possibility

De plek is prachtig . De bediening oke, maar het eten was niet . Trio van bloemkool was verbrand en volgens mij opgewarmd. Niet voor herhaling vatbaar!

Fantastische ervaring. Op het dakterras een overheerlijk broodplankje gehad (aanrader). Met de ondergaande zon rond 20 uur, heel mooi. Daarna binnen gegeten, voor- en hoofdgerecht. Heel erg goed, geserveerd door dito bediening. Oprecht een leuke ervaring. Met vier personen gegeten, broodplankje, voor-, hoofdgerecht en een paar biertjes en borrels voor 250 euro.

My Region is always worth a visit. I think the food and drinks are very good. The service started a bit slowly. What I think is a shame is that you have to use the shared toilet; library, brasserie downstairs and Mijn Streek. I would rather see them have their own toilet on their own floor.

Vrijdag 29 maart waren wij 50 jaar getrouwd. Gereserveerd voor 9 volwassenen en een kind. Gekozen voor een 4 gangen menu +bubbels en amuse vooraf.( 4 schaaltjes Crostini a 85,50 !!!)en de keus van de gasten doorgegeven. Aankomst 13.45u. Geen felicitatie of andere vorm van verwijzing naar het 50 jarig huwelijk.Mail met keuze ( gescand document bijgevoegd) niet aangekomen ???……gerechten op de kaart zijn gewijzigd. Dus nieuwe keuzes. Erg lange wachttijden. Het eten was gelukkig goed. Om 17.30u waren we klaar ( geen koffie als afsluiter i.v.m. de tijd) Gaan we nooit meer doen…….jammer….

Super nice restaurant with a beautiful bird's nest view. Really tasty food: the kimchi (not traditional) is delicious. I would like the recipe for this. Dishes are all slightly different. Highly recommended. Oh yes, coffee is also fine.

Had dinner tonight at Mijn Streek, reservation for 3 people. Upon entering, the reception was a bit awkward because we were ignored for 5 minutes by the staff who had actually seen us. Ultimately we got a nice table by the window with a view over Heerlen. Unfortunately, the group menu turned out to be unavailable for under 8 people, something that cannot be found on the website. Finally ordered a la carte. The service was a bit messy and did not always go smoothly, changing between 4 different people. One person was able to give nice explanations about the dishes, while the other was not. The food was ok, I found the Red Gurnard ceviche quite tasteless and the grilled beef steak had tough pieces. Very tasty gravy and the loaded fries were delicious. Ultimately, I found the value for money to be a bit poor. Another downside was that a very noisy group of 10 people sat next to us, so we could barely hear each other at the table and several guests were visibly bothered by this. This made the atmosphere more like a busy pub. I expected more from it.

Op deze vrijdagavond gedineerd in het mooie restaurant Mijn Streek op de bovenste etage van het historische glaspaleis in Heerlen. De sfeer is modern en grootstedelijk en het uitzicht op de stad is mooi! Het concept in dit restaurant is shared dining en de gerechten worden in voorgerecht formaat geserveerd wordt ons verteld. Ook is er een menu van de chef en kan indien gewenst ook ieder zijn eigen gerechten bestellen zonder te delen. Bij dit laatste wordt 1 koud en 1 warm gerecht geadviseerd. Dit is een beetje vreemd aangezien de gerechten in voorgerecht formaat zijn! Wij kiezen om met 2 personen in 2 gangen 6 gerechten te bestellen. Bij het doorgeven van de menukeuze wordt gevraagd of wij nog naar het theater moeten vanavond of dat wij de tijd hebben. Wij hebben de tijd vanavond en geven dit ook aan. We hadden echter dit misschien beter niet kunnen aangeven want de wachttijden tussen de gangen zijn zeer royaal en uiteindelijk duurt het ruim 3 uur voor het serveren van 2 gangen en een kopje koffie. De eerste gang kiezen wij voor een ceviche met de vis van de dag. Een mooi en goed gerecht dat heerlijk op smaak is gebracht. De baba ganoush wordt op een eigentijdse manier gepresenteerd en is smaakvol. De combinatie met geitenkaas en granaatappel is heerlijk. Het kleine pita broodje is prima hierbij, maar erg zuinig geportioneerd! Tenslotte is de softshell krab in tempura lekker, maar overheerst de smaak van het frituurvet een beetje. De erbij geserveerde bloemkoolcouscous is heel lekker en een goede toevoeging aan het gerecht. Bij de tweede gang bevalt de (kleine) eendenbout prima. Lekker mals en ook het garnituur van knolselderij en appel erbij is heerlijk en goed passend. Ook het buikspek is prima bereidt en iets royaler in portie. Ook bij dit gerecht overigens een garnituur met appel. Tenslotte is de geulforel een mooi stukje vis waarbij een heerlijke hartige risotto wordt geserveerd. De saus met harissa is lekker, maar de smaak van de harissa is niet heel goed herkenbaar. Overigens mocht deze gang met “warme” gerechten, warmer worden geserveerd! We hebben lekker gegeten vanavond en ook de service was prima en vriendelijk. De rekening van ruim €165,- voor 2 personen is echter aan de stevige kant en niet helemaal in lijn met de geboden kwaliteit en kwantiteit. De gerechtjes mogen voor de prijs wel iets royaler of genereuzer zijn. Desalniettemin hebben wij een prima avond beleefd in een mooie entourage met vriendelijke service en lekker eten.

The food is absolutely not what it used to be: the cheese was really not good and the duck leg was mainly a very small leg, so it was very poor, but still tasty. Channel trout was also the same… in short, not really enthusiastic anymore… Ambience remains great!!

We wanted to have lunch and were told that it was very busy and that it could therefore take longer for orders to come through. We then waited 20 minutes before we could even order. During that time, two tables were added that were immediately helped and the food was served before we had even ordered. We left and were given lame excuses, so they lost this gentleman.

We had a delicious meal at Brasserie Mijns Streek. My partner and I differ greatly in what we like to eat, but there is more than enough choice for both of us. And everything is equally delicious! The service was remarkably nice, pleasant and helpful. Recommended!

This is my third time coming here. As always, the first-class service, exquisite snacks, delicious food and warm environment. The restaurant is on the fifth floor with a sweeping view of the city.

Went for dinner on Saturday night and I absolutely loved the place. The atmosphere was fantastic but the service was outstanding and the food was perfect! I have a gluten allergy and they were extremely careful with everything and tried to find alternatives for me on everything. Highly recommended! We will for sure come back!

Wanneer je in het restaurant bent zie je overal de graffiti tekeningen op de muren, waar Heerlen Centrum toch wel een beetje bekend om staat. Je kunt bij brasserie mijn Streek heerlijk lunch, dineren of een klein hapje met wat drinken.
