On our way through, we had lunch together. Your grand café was highly rated! And rightly so 😁😁 Great, fast service, very friendly and helpful staff. First a delicious cup of cappuccino and latte macchiato. Then a fantastic onion soup. Nice and warm and lots of melted cheese in it. Fantastic. Then both a sandwich with something tasty (taco and a burger on it. Extensive menu with many (also vegetarian) dishes, lunch, dinner and desserts. Drinks and cakes. You name it. Absolutely recommended. 👍🏻🍴☺️

Uitsmijter cheap slice of toasted ham and slice of gummy cheese on white bread dry fried eggs. Not even asked if I wanted white or brown bread. Broidje gezond with the same ham and cheese, bit of raw vegetables on rock hard bread. We didn't even eat it.

Good service, cozy atmosphere, food was less, no truffle in pasta as stated on the menu, burnt lasagna, as far as food is concerned, not worth repeating.

Recently had brunch here with grandpa, grandma and the rest of the family. We were received and served excellently. Rarely have I seen such a well-organized grand café. The brunch (freshly prepared) was delicious and everyone had a good time thanks to the enthusiastic service.

Ordered tom kha kai on May 4. Unfortunately, a shame for Thai cuisine. There was plenty of chicken in it and it was a bit spicy, but it had nothing to do with Thai soup. It was just a chicken curry soup. Tom kha kai contains lemongrass, kafir lime leaves and lots of coconut cream and cardamom. This soup should be white. Certainly no curry in it. Staff unfriendly and incompetent. Shame. Atmosphere on the market was good. Better luck next time

Today the Lapjesmarkt is okay busy, but if we order something and it doesn't come and people sit behind us and they get their food before us, something is wrong. Inquiring who is the manager (there were no fewer than 3) is not possible, so nothing will be done with your complaint. Too bad they were happy to come, but after this nonsense and threat from the server, no one came from Jules. Hopefully there will be a response, but probably not because peaks are more important than a complaint.

I really ate the tastiest schnitzel and mushroom sauce here that I had tasted in a long time.

We spontaneously ended up at the grandcafe jules. There were still tables available outside, so we stayed here. The service was very nice and could help in German, Dutch and English. An apple strudel, a club sandwich and 2 cappuccinos later, we were surprised that the price wasn't overpriced. Everything was very tasty and recommended. If we are in the area again, we will definitely stop by again.

I waited a long time for a salad... I hadn't finished yet and they told me I had to hurry, they had to clear the table!!!

Had lunch here with my family on March 12 to celebrate our son's good school performance. The food was delicious and the service was very friendly. A really nice place to have something to eat or drink. Our son is probably the only teenager who isn't glued to his phone. So it took a few days before we discovered he was gone. We thought he would show up again somewhere in the house or at school, but that didn't happen. He really needs it this weekend so I seriously looked at all options. That's how I discovered that his last text to me was right before I picked him up for lunch. Would it? Called Grandcafé Jules and yes, his cell phone was waiting there. What a service! Thank you very much for keeping it so neatly all this time! We will definitely come here for lunch more often now that our son is at school around the corner.

Unfortunately it turned out very bad! Staff very inattentive, sat on the terrace on Tuesday afternoon. Staff didn't come and left after 20 minutes! We were usually there on Thursdays, so we stopped because the food was getting more and more expensive and less expensive! You can hardly see the sauce in the salad on the plate, the cheese in the Grimbergen is a joke!

Unfortunately the service has become very poor. Yesterday we waited 20 minutes for service... without success, even though we were brought to the table. We won't be visiting this restaurant again...

Nice restaurant located in the center of Kerkrade. We came without reservations and fortunately a table was available. Service was great, very polite and helpful. I had the schnitzel, my wife the kip sate, and the kids the kid's pizza. Food came fast and was tasty. My only problem was that there were some flies around when we were eating, it was a little annoying.

I eat a burger everywhere we go. But this burger was by far the BEST I've had in years. Perfectly prepared, no hard pieces in the meat, enough sauce and toppings. If we have to be in Kerkrade again, we will definitely eat here again.

Pasteitjes waren koud opgediend…hoef verder niks te zeggen…bij Jules niet voor herhaling vatbaar. Jammer …moesten ook veel te lang wachten. Geen sorry en koffie moesten we ook nog eens betalen dus geen service. Niet voor herhaling vatbaar.

Today we had dinner at Jules's. Very busy due to Valentine's Day. Food was delicious, service very friendly and the atmosphere cozy with Valentine's Day balloons. The only downside was the extremely small table we sat at. But will definitely come back here.

Had a nice brunch, very pleasant....

On the advice of a few people, I decided to go and have a look to eat something. I ordered a farmer's omelette. My partner ordered a bacon and egg sandwich. I got an omelette with no taste. Onions and mushrooms were burnt. Just black. The bread didn't seem fresh in my opinion. I had a whole load of bacon bits in it that weren't great either. The sandwich wasn't great either. Same bread. I think we'll go somewhere else next time. I do NOT agree with the people who recommended this to us!

Nicely decorated, cozy atmosphere. Toasted Hawaiian and a tuna baguette. The tosti was very tasty. The tuna salad too, only the baguette was rock hard, which is a shame. Also a cappuccino and a tea with fresh ginger and mint.

Beautiful, attractively decorated café, restaurant with large terrace in the heart of Kerkrade where you can also go for a nice cup of coffee or glass of wine. With or without something from Brussels waffle to snacks and from lunch to dinner.

Great business, quick service, reasonable price. Ate here before a theater visit. It was very busy, but the place is large and has plenty of seats. Large terrace outside, but smoking here is a problem, as a non-smoker you have to go inside, outside because of the closed setup, not too hard. Time to also ban smoking and vaping outside on a terrace.

We zijn hier 2x geweest op 2 dagen. Eerst in de namiddag voor een wijntje en uiensoep en dan de volgende dag in de avond voor een diner met wijn. Ons tweede bezoek kwam er nadat ons eerste bezoek zo goed bevallen was. Mooie, grote zaak met vriendelijk personeel. Goed uitziende menukaart voor een heel faire prijs. Bij ons diner hadden we ons wat achteraan gezet maar dat ligt een beetje om de hoek waardoor ze ons vergeten waren. We hebben ons toen verplaatst, meer in het zicht en konden daarna snel bestellen want we hadden honger na een lange dag. En we hebben ervan genoten. Nadien nog eens temeer genoten omdat het hier ook niet duur is. Prijs-kwaliteit.

Wij hebben alle 3 een kippenpasteitje besteld. Deze was erg smaakloos en toen we dit aangaven werd er niet veel aan gedaan. Bij een van ons zaten zelfs nog knoken van de kip in het eten. Wel snelle bediening.

Jammer, altijd zeer tevreden geweest maar vandaag 8 augustus 2024 zeer teleurgesteld. Wij bestellen wat te drinken om lekker even te ontspannen. Gooit de ober per ongeluk de latte macchiato tijdens het neer zetten om, die mijn zusje tevens ook over haar broek krijgt en de hele tafel en grond zat onder. Er kwam niet eens sorry. Hij maakt de tafel schoon en de grond. Hij vroeg niet eens aan mijn zusje of alles in orde was en of hij iets voor haar kon doen. Helemaal niets. Klantvriendelijkheid was ver te zoeken. Toen ben ik de rekening gaan betalen en heb de klacht doorgegeven aan een medewerkster en zij bood de excuses aan namens de ober. Ze wees naar de verantwoordelijke maar die reageerde niet en de ober liep ook twee keer langs en hoorde mij en zij totaal niets. Als er nu eens sorry werd gezegd had dat een groot verschil gemaakt. Voor ons geen Jules meer.

Nice, smooth, correct operation. Cozy terrace to relax your legs while cycling. If you like bitterballen; the Burgundian bitterballen with Limburg mustard is highly recommended!

Deze locatie is een begrip aan de markt, onder toeziend oog van 'der Joep'. De kaart is eenvoudig en de gerechten zijn dat ook. Afgestemd om snel te kunnen serveren. Dus heb geen hoge verwachtingen van spijs en drank, het zijn voldoende porties om je trek te stillen. Huisgemarineerde spareribs worden aangeboden, de vraag is in welk huis ze zijn voorbereid, groothandelgemarineerd is waarschijnlijk iets dichter bij de waarheid. Kipsaté met friet, sajoer en kroepoek is wat het is, er zijn geen ambities te bekennen die het tot een gerechtje zouden kunnen maken om het te willen onthouden. Kortom, aanschuiven, eten, betalen en plaatsmaken voor de volgende gasten. Simpele lucratieve gastronomie. Het mag en het werkt, tenslotte zijn de meeste tafels bezet.

The food was as you would expect from most grand cafes, fine, but not very exciting. Spare ribs were tender, but the taste was meh. Pork tenderloin was a bit dry. Nachos well filled, but not special. Smooth operation (at 2030), but they didn't seem to have much interest in it. Tent looks good otherwise.
