Al vele jaren komen wij regelmatig bij Giuseppe. En wij hebben alle keren goed en lekker gegeten. Devariatie is ruim en de prijs/kwaliteit is dik in orde. Bij mooi weer vanaf 1 mei een mooi terras op de gezellige Markt in Kerkrade.

I read about the 'arrogant waiter' in a review below. Well... We actually thought it was great! Pleasant, fast, funny and knowledgeable. I had a delicious meal including gluten-free pasta, potatoes and beautiful and tasty large pieces of fish of the day. When I am in Kerkrade again I will definitely go back to this cozy, cozy and tasty restaurant!

Food is meh… nothing special. What does irritate me is the arrogant waiter. (Owner)? Likes to hear himself talk (loudly)! He constantly corrects you if you don't pronounce something on the card correctly in his opinion. Makes strange, condescending comments when you ask something... Considers himself one of the better Italians, and says this 20 times... and then serves a Carbonara with cream😂 (very bland in taste, by the way).. No, there are much better Italian restaurants in the area!

A nice place in itself and most of our party found the menu very tasty. The kids thought the pizza taco was a bit too soggy and "mwah, that's okay". Most of the people in the service were friendly and diligent. However, a waiter is very present. The customer apparently has to comply with him or whiz! ....He's already gone and didn't hear you. The acoustics are a disaster. We were completely excited and overstimulated by the noise. We also had to talk very loudly to understand each other. So there was no pleasant dining experience and then you only wanted one thing: to get away. Horrible, that's why never here again.

Het eten is prima.. je kunt elkaar lastig verstaan en de vriendelijkheid van de eigenaar komt een beetje gemaakt over. Voor een keertje prima, niet bijzonder

Groot en gezellig Italiaans restaurant met vriendelijke bediening. We hadden geluk om nog een tafeltje te kunnen bemachtigen op een zaterdagavond want we hadden niet gereserveerd en het zat goed vol. Aanlokkelijke kaart met ook eens andere verrassende gerechten buiten de normale pizza en pasta. Rundsvlees was perfect gebakken. Lekkere wijnen. Enkel het stokbrood was al vroeg op voorhand in stukken gesneden waardoor het al uitgedroogd was, gelukkig was er een soort van lookboter om er op te smeren. Grote porties ook waardoor je met een hoofdgerecht voldoende hebt, een dessert kon er niet meer bij. En dat allemaal voor nog geen 45 euro voor 2 personen. Top!

Op het laatste moment besloten we hier naar toe te gaan. Daar hebben we geen spijt van: pasta en pizza waren heerlijk en tot onze vreugde kregen we eerst een mandje brood net knoflookboter en olijven voor ons neergezet. Tegenwoordig zie je dat niet heel vaak meer of moet je daarvoor betalen. Als we weer eens in de buurt zijn komen we hier graag terug, niet in de laatste plaats ook door het vriendelijke personeel.

Good restaurant with fine cuisine. Atmosphere is cozy, but quite a lot of noise in the room. The service is mixed, with the male service in particular being correct, but not seeming interested in people.

Ordered a pizza taco special. Wasn't edible. The bottom was completely wet from the moisture from the minced meat. And the spicy sausage was also not included. Then we went to the Greek

It's a great place to eat. The location is perfect and you have a lot of desserts to choose.

Eten is goed en oogt verder erg gezellig alleen zijn ze absoluut niet flexibel ingesteld, na het hoofdgerecht werd het buiten wat frisser en wilde graag het nagerecht en koffie en eventueel nog een afzakkertje binnen in het restaurant voortzetten (plek genoeg vrij binnen, is gecheckt) maar daar gingen ze niet aan beginnen alleen maar heel lastig en moeilijk bla bla bla. wij zijn met overigens nog een aantal klanten erg verontwaardigd vertrokken. geen fooi en drankje kan je overal nog doen in de buurt. was erg jammer hadden het naar ons zin. eten goed personeel dikke onvoldoende.

Eigenlijk een 3 maar vanwege het personeels te kort toch 4 gegeven. Slordig om na het openen van de fles wijn aan te geven dat de pizza oven stuk is bij een italiaan. Zo kan je geen kant meer op. Begrepen dat er te weinig personeel was, waardoor alles extreem lang duurde.

Good food but service super bad!!! Too slow service, asked for extra cutlery that did not come, pizza oven broken (was mentioned on the website but saw nothing!!! Requested a bill that did not come. Too bad.

Eten was heerlijk, wel veel peen! Het restaurant is zo fexlibel als een looien deur. Van buiten naar binnen “verhuizen” is onmogelijk. Let dus op.

We had dinner at Giuseppe's with 5 people this evening and sat outside on the terrace. The service was great! Friendly and helpful. Food was good, enough space between starter and main course. Recommended ...

Subterranean service, after waiting over 90 minutes we canceled the main course. Or partially canceled - the first plate arrived after an hour. The bill came incorrectly - it was charged for something that unfortunately never made it to the table.

Arrived at Restaurant Giuseppe today at 6:30 p.m., the waitress took the order and cleared parts of the table, about 20 minutes later the rest was cleared away, unfortunately the table wasn't wiped down, well we did it ourselves. Aperol Spritz consisted of 75% ice cubes, about 30 minutes after we ordered we were told that the pizza was out - it can happen - so we reordered. An hour had passed and the starters were served. Bruschetta was fine, carpaccio too, my Vitello Tonato unfortunately not, little to no sauce - the bread I ordered twice with the Vitello unfortunately only appeared on the bill - but was taken back. 2nd round of Aperol Spritz, now with 2 ice cubes and a full glass so the average was right. After waiting for 2 hours, we asked where the main courses were, the restaurant was now half empty - we were told 5 minutes later, we asked if it was possible to cancel - this was politely answered in the affirmative. The service was overwhelmed, tried to be friendly and created a stressful atmosphere.

Had a lovely meal outside last Sunday. Delicious summer salad of veal loin with sage sauce and delicious dessert. Friendly service, in short, a nice evening!

Niet meer wat het is geweest, de gerechten zijn flink aan de prijs en de kwaliteit is tevens achteruit gegaan. Meer Champions dan varkenshaas puntjes in het gerecht. Wijn is goed maar eveneens pittig aan de prijs. Bediening is plichtmatig, contact met de gasten gaat hiermee verloren. Lijkt meer op een fastfood restaurant. Zeer jammer!! O ja wij misten eveneens het glaasje limoncello aan het einde.

I liked the restaurant and food, but not my favorite. We had a group menu and the portions of food were fine but I would rather have the choice for one plate then several. There was too much dessert and maybe to little of mains. In general its an ok restaurant.

Delicious Italian, super fast and friendly service!

The 'Food la Route' formula is great fun, but for Guiseppe it started with an anticlimax. Upon arrival, we (my wife and I) were directed to the 'long table' that was apparently provided for the route people. You are required to sit opposite each other, otherwise we wouldn't all fit. Understandable, but the tone of that instruction immediately set the tone. The starter included a white wine (included) or a soft drink (included) if desired. My wife asked for a red wine instead of white and the manager/owner allowed that, without additional costs. The white wine was quickly served to the approximately 16 route guests. The coke also arrived fairly shortly afterwards, but the red wine did not. Asked again: still not. The carpaccio was already on the table and half finished, but no red wine yet. Asked 2 more times. Now one may ask why 'the haste'? It was a special evening because of my birthday and my wife's gift was dinner. She wanted to enjoy herself and 'nudge' me as a way of congratulations. After asking a fourth time, she got up from the table (irritated) and walked to the bar, but the young waitress promptly arrived (who, like her manager, had to be dealt with very harshly and was also publicly reprimanded by him for 'chatting when busy') with the redeeming glass of (red) wine. The mood had already subsided a bit by then, but it became even more unpleasant. The food la route event works with a (tight) timetable, so when the time came we had to move to our next station elsewhere for the intermediate course. When passing the cash register, my wife was summoned by the manager in English (perhaps due to her Asian appearance) to stand still for a moment, because payment still had to be made, namely the 'second red wine' and my coke. Other guests looked at us in surprise, but fortunately they were on our side and we were not nailed to the cross as defaulters. After some talking back and forth, during which I could hardly contain my emotions and with the support of our carpaccio neighbors that the 4 times ordering had really only resulted in one glass of wine, I showed the route rules to the manager that the coke was still available. had actually been intervened in the (on-line paid arrangement) we were waved through. No apologies for the wait, the rather uncivilized behavior and the bad start to what should have been a fun evening. Fortunately, the experiences at the other 3 restaurants were so positive that my wife (also due to my repeated assurance that she had arranged everything well) still went home happy after, among other things, the delicious dessert elsewhere. Giuseppe was always her favorite restaurant in Kerkrade. Not mine, because I don't like the style of the manager/owner (in dealing with his guests). Not a problem in itself, everyone is the way they are and there are plenty of alternatives in our town or outside it. My wife's attempt to win my heart for Giuseppe unfortunately turned out wrong. Shame. Oh yes, the carpaccio was quite tasty, but had a bitter aftertaste due to the above.

The food was tasty, but the service was very poor. One staff member is even quite arrogant. I had to wait a very long time for my wine (I finally got it after asking four times) and the gentleman also wanted me to pay double for the drink, while I had only received one (included) drink with great difficulty. For me this is not worth repeating.

Very tasty food at pleasant prices!

Food was delicious, but if you are unlucky enough to end up here on an Italian evening, you might as well turn around immediately. The live music ensures that you cannot have a conversation with each other. At some point the owner thinks he should also sing along, and a polonaise goes through the place (hell). When I go to a restaurant, I want to be able to have a conversation. Make it clearer if you organize these types of events, because then I will definitely stay home.

Something really needs to be done about the acoustics. It's way too loud so you can't have a normal conversation at the table without shouting. In addition, there was a waiter/manager walking around who was very unfriendly. Part of our party was quite late, so we asked for the menu in advance so that we could order some starters. The answer was: 'NO, the menus have run out because it is busy and we are full. We just had to wait until the table was complete.' In addition, it was also not possible to order a pizza without peppers. His answer was: 'I can write it down on the receipt, but I can't promise that it will go well because it is way too busy.' So in the end the pepper was done. And as icing on the cake, he also came to let us know that we could not get our ordered pizza taco because we had run out of minced meat. In short, bizarrely bad service in this restaurant, first time and never again!

Yummy food and fast service in centre of Kerkrade city

We always enjoyed eating here because the price/performance ratio was great, as was the service. However, last time was very disappointing, as it was apparently not possible to offer an alternative dessert on the menu (due to food intolerance) instead of the prescribed one. There was no corresponding response to the suggestion that this had always been possible up to now. It's a shame, unfortunately the customer is no longer king! So that was our last visit for about 40 years.

Yesterday we ate a menu with deer stew and gnochi. Ratio was not good. Plate with lots of gnochi, lettuce and cheese and 4 pieces of meat. Gnochis over-cooked and very mealy.

Delicious food, a cozy and intimate restaurant and friendly, attentive service, what more could you want?

Absolutely loved the restaurant. We chose it because it’s one of the few in Kerkrade with gluten free options and it was fantastic. Food was great and also the service and the atmosphere. If you have a gluten allergy or intolerance tell the restaurant when making the booking so they can be prepared in advance and for example have bread prepared for you. Highly recommended

vrijdagavond met 14 personen gegeten, hun voorstel om het voorgerecht, hoofdgerecht en nagerecht door hun te laten kiezen, kregen verschillende voor, hoofd en nagerechten, alles was heerlijk, service perfect, geweldige avond gehad.

Super lekker gegeten! Kwamen laat binnen en dat was geen probleem. Lieve mensen en een redelijke prijs. Echt genoten komen zeker terug!!

Het eten was heerlijk, een gezellige sfeer, en de bediening was super. Helaas plakte de tafel, en het toilet was echt vies. Wat ook jammer was dat er stukken uit de randen van borden en kommen waren. Maar!! We hadden een leuke avond met lekker eten.

Miste alleen de limoncello na t eten

Starters were really tasty. Caprese left much to be desired: a big mozzarella ball was found where buratta would be expected. Tomatoes were tasteless. On service: not sure why they made us all eat all dishes with the same forks refusing to refresh them

Prima lasagne, goede prijs kwaliteit

Onverwacht van Breda naar Kerkrade moeten gaan en geen tijd gehad om te eten dus vielen we hier net voor 20u binnen en zijn nalog niet de zaak uit. Niet vanwege slechte slome bediening welke andere klacht je ook kunt bedenken. Nee juist omdat we nog aan het genieten zijn van de genoten gerechten en vriendelijk en vlot personeel. Mooie gevarieerde kaart en slimme opties als wil je een frisse salade bij het eten, dat kan en kost je niets naar vraag er om want we willen geen eten weggooien. Wat ook weer blijkt als er een kwart pizza overblijft vraagt men of je deze toevallig niet wil meenemen. En dat laten we geen 2de x vragen want bij ons in Breda kennen ze sowieso de pizza taco niet zoals de limburgse versie. Nu nog een dessetje en dan 1.5u naar huis rijden. Bedankt en hopelijk tot een volgende. Ps tip aan de klant, het zijn mooie grote porties en prijs kwaliteit verhouding is top

Goed eten, aardig personeel, mag alleen wat vaker langs de tafel komen om te vragen of iemand nog wat wilt drinken. Verder niks bijzonders.

We hadden niet gereserveerd in dit gezellig drukke restaurant, maar nadat ik had aangegeven glutenvrij te willen eten, stond er binnen de kortste keren een lekker warm glutenvrij broodje op tafel. Het leuke vond ik hier dat er geen brood mét gluten bijkwam, dus geen kruisbesmettingsgevaar door rondvliegende kruimels! De vis van de dag kon makkelijk glutenvrij worden gemaakt en was overheerlijk.

Super lekker gegeten. Pasta met heel veel vis. Fijne bediening, snel en heel vriendelijk. Zeker een aanrader, alleen de koffie kan wat sterker.

De naam is wel Italiaans maar de smaken niet. Wel vriendelijke service, leuke sfeer maar het eten niet meer dan doorsnee.

Altijd graag gaan eten, maar gisteren negatieve ervaring met zeer lang wachten op hoofdgerecht (2 uur) en bij uitgebreid menu weinig opties voor een dessert bij notenallergie in gezelschap. Vooral heel erg jammer dat ondanks meermaals aangeven van de problemen, er niet met een oplossing/compromis gekomen werd, waardoor we een nare nasmaak hebben overgehouden.

Een leuk ingericht restaurant. Super gezellig. Super klantvriendelijk en heel lekker gegeten. Een minpuntje: de akoestiek. Heb dat ook verteld en hoorde dat ze daar al langer mee bezig zijn. Dus ook dat is prima. Ik kan het zeer aanbevelen 👍

Het eten is heerlijk, vooral de knoflook spaghetti..alleen jammer als ik vraag of ik dat als hoofdgerecht kan krijgen dan kan dat niet, is een bijgerecht wordt me dan vertelt..terwijl ik dat in andere Italiaanse restaurants wel kan bestellen..jammer want die van hun is in mijn beleving de lekkerste knoflook spaghetti die ik tot nu toe heb gegeten..

Hebben lekker gegeten. Menu voorstel was zeer goed. Lekker wijntje erbij. Vooral beneden in de taverne was het zeer aangenaam. Meestal is het beven zeer rumoerig.
