I visited today with my bf, and we had cheese pie, freddo cappucino and the orange pie. As a fellow Greek, I have to say that I loved everything, the owner was super nice,and the prices reasonable. I'm happy we stumbled upon it. I will definitely be back to eat souvlaki and I'll bring friends. Deff recommend!

While in Amsterdam, we were looking for good fast food, so we stumbled upon this place. We ordered a classic Greek chicken pita. The pita we received was very tasty, even better than the ones we had in Greece. All the ingredients were of very good quality. The price was also quite reasonable, at 8.50 euros per pita. I recommend checking it out and trying it for yourself.

Meat and fries were bland, the sandwich was just two pitas in one package. Tzatziki was fine, but there were not enough of it, since everything else is bland. Service was pleasant:)

For a late dinner, we tried something totally new and interesting. This kebab was wrapped in fresh, chewy pita bread, but the surprise was inside - they actually tucked fries and mashed potatoes right into the wrap! The kebab itself was incredibly juicy, and those fries added the perfect crunch. Such a delicious find!

The pita bread was really delicious, I enjoyed my meal very much. That said, the service was very slow and cold. It took 45 minutes to receive my food even though there were only two people ahead of me. It also took a good 20 minutes for them to take my order.

I stumbled into this spot while wandering near the Dam and it was honestly the highlight of my day. You can smell the grilled meat from down the street, and it smells exactly like a busy corner in Athens. The gyro was packed and the pita had that perfect slight crunch to it without being greasy. It’s a small, lively place where you can just grab a seat, forget you're in the middle of a rainy Amsterdam afternoon, and dive into some serious comfort food. The staff are super quick but they still make you feel like a regular even if it's your first time in. It’s easily the best value for money I’ve found in the center. The flavors are so vibrant and honest that it makes all the surrounding tourist traps look like a total waste of time, and honestly, I'd come back here just for the tzatziki alone.

Ordered two pitas one pork and one chicken. Let me tell you we were not disappointed. Delicious Greek food for a good price. Service is also great! When we came in we were immediately told we would have to wait since it was busy. Very nice to tell us up front. Apparently it is popular. It smelled so good so we thought it would be worth the wait. In short, very happy we waited. Loaded up on good food before heading out to a festival. The night was setup to be a success at this point 👌🏾. Highly recommended. And if you find yourself there on a busier night, it is worth the wait! Just have a little walk around the block and come back or sit inside if it is not too full. A lot of people also ordered ahead of time and picked up. Which seemed to also be a good option. I’ll definitely be back to try more things from the menu.

Definitely recommend, is a much better and quicker food option than many of the other dismal Dutch food options around Amsterdam. Meat cooked fresh, not from a spit roasting all day unlike other places. Tried the kebab pita and greek desert pie, loved both! Owner is very friendly as well!

Warning to anyone living in the neighborhood: Greco is dangerously good. I try to walk past, but the smell pulls me in every time. It’s become my 'home away from home' for a reason. Authentic flavors, great atmosphere, and consistently amazing quality. Just don't blame me when you start coming here three times a week!

Great place to eat. Not only delicious authentic Greek food but also very polite service. As a Greek who has often been to Greece, this food is of a very high standard. Delicious meat and pita bread, but also delicious desserts and sweets like baklava, bougatsa, and much more. Everything tastes exactly like it does in Greece. If you're in the area, go there!

Unfortunately, my experience at Greco Taste from Greece was disappointing. The waiting time was excessively long, with no explanation or apology from the staff, even though the place was not very busy. When the food finally arrived, the quality did not justify either the long wait or the price. The food lacked flavor and felt poorly prepared, missing the freshness and authentic taste one would expect from a place that promotes Greek cuisine. Overall, there is significant room for improvement in both service speed and food quality.

We were very happy to find Greek souvlaki in Amsterdam but we were left with the joy. 40 minutes for two souvlaki and the meat was low quality and burnt. 8.50€ each please with a straw in it. Great job bro.

The worst souvlaki we've ever had. We waited 45 minutes for something so bad. The meat was burnt and completely dry. The chicken souvlaki was the same. The chicken was cooked on the outside and raw on the inside. For a hospital. The owner was rude and very mean to the staff. It seemed like his "head" had made it. 1 star is too much.

I was tempted by high ratings, but again it reminded me of how people simply have no taste and give high marks to everything. Starting with the fact that the portions are ridiculously small, exactly 4 fries, one not a big piece of lamb and tzatziki. The food was very good and compared to the prices in the city it's quite acceptable, the only thing is that it takes quite a while to prepare.

We found this place randomly, since everything was closed on Xmas day and we didn't regret it. Souvlakis (chicken and kebab) tasted great, nicely seasoned and fresh. French fries with tzatziki also great. The two of us ate great food for about 12 €, just WOW.

The pita bread was amazing! The kebab meat was pretty good. It's worth checking out if you're looking for a quick bite in the area.

The best pita I've ever eaten. We stayed in the city for 4 days and went to the restaurant twice because it was both good and inexpensive. It's definitely worth it.

Delicious pitas (my favorite in Amsterdam) and super friendly staff. The waiting time is relatively short when it’s empty inside but I’ve had to wait longer before if there was a queue, which is fine because the food is worth it. They also gave us dessert on the house :)

I came here a couple days ago and I ordered the Pita Souvlaki. The meat was very good, but the fries were a bit nasty. Overall it was a very good pita and the service was great. Inside the restaurant it's very cosy and warm. I would recommend this place if you want some good souvklaki and cosy atmosphere.

Great and delicious food. Reminded me of Greece. The place is small but there are a few tables outside if the weather allows it. The prices are better compared to other places that sell souvlaki. Of course I still consider them to be too expensive but at least it is worth it for once in a while to remind me of home.

Hands down the most incredible Greek food I’ve ever had. The location is perfect for a quick stop while you’re out and about shopping in the heart of the downtown area. Everything is freshly made to order, and you can taste the difference in every bite. We ordered the chicken pita and it was out of this world — the flavors, the freshness, the seasoning, everything was perfect. It was so good, I actually cancelled our dinner plans and came back later that evening because I couldn’t stop thinking about it. That’s how good it was. The owner was so kind and welcoming, and even surprised us with a complimentary dessert that was just divine. It’s rare to find a spot where the food, atmosphere, and hospitality all align so perfectly, but Greco Taste absolutely nailed it. I still think about that meal to this day and cannot wait to come back next time I’m in Amsterdam. Truly a hidden gem and a must-visit if you want authentic, soul-hitting Greek food!!

All the food is super yummy, served very hot. The people there are really nice. A favourite of mine whenever I want a quick dependable delicious meal to go. I’ve dined in and grabbed one to go multiple times.

We ordered here a big order for the office. It came 50 minutes late. When calling the person on the phone was rude, no apology for being late. And the pita's were not worth 10,-. For 10,- you expect something bigger and with fries aside, not a few fries in the pita. What a shame, not recommended.

After waiting 40 minutes for 3 souvlaki. The quality was poor. The meat was burnt and rotten quality like the cheapest pork you find in an Albanian souvlaki shop in Menidi. The meat was just gelatin. Not tasty at all. And we paid 8.5 euros for the souvlaki, very expensive. The worst in the Netherlands.

This small Greek eatery is located in the basement of an Amsterdam building; you could easily walk right past it. This Greek restaurant is more of a "quick-bite snack bar" in Greek style. You can eat there, but don't expect tables to sit at (two bars with six stools are available). The food consists mainly of Greek pitas and a selection of Greek sweets. There are also coffees and various Greek drinks in the refrigerator. There's usually only one person working, both taking orders and preparing the food, so there's sometimes a bit of a wait. We've been here several times throughout the year, and it's always delicious and comparable to what we've had in Greece when we wanted something tasty and quick, so it's a good choice!

Takeaway is fine, you can't really sit down here. The pita gyros were decent, good flavor, but way too many thick fries and very little meat. The owner is super friendly and really tries his best. A little more meat and fewer fries, and the five stars are in.

I went with a friend and colleague for food and coffee. Reasonable prices, very good coffee, very good chicken, great bougatsa and the baker who made the food and pies treated us to baklava with Merenda. 🤤🤤 Excellent service too. I highly recommend it.
