Best fries, nothing more to say.

The potatoes were quite good, but the employee was very grumpy. It's unclear whether we ordered something or insulted him. They put very little sauce; it might be related to the employee.

The fries are tasty, but nothing special. Try them and forget about them. The service is inefficient – ​​one person manages all the stations, resulting in longer wait times than at competitors.

We ordered 3 portions of fries, 1 hamburger, and some snacks (kaassoufflé, kroket etc.) for takeaway. Once we’d found a place to sit outside, we were disappointed to see that we were missing 1 portion of fries. The fries and snacks themselves were good. The hamburger was average. All in all, disappointed given the high rating.

My friend ordered a small portion of fries and I ordered a shrimp croquette. It was my first time trying a croquette and it was really delicious. I truly loved its flavor. Unfortunately, I only got to eat it once during my trip to Amsterdam. Next time I go back, I’ll probably buy more because I really miss the taste of that dish

This is a very small place, but it’s worth trying. They cut their own fries and make their own saté sauce, which is delicious on a friet oorlog. I highly recommend this place.

We are regular customers and normally we are satisfied with Oma’s Friet, and we are not complainers. But our today’s experience was really bad. I ordered crispy frikandellen and well done baked fries and two croquettes. The frikandellen were cold in the inside and the beautiful fries were half warm, the same with the croquettes. I am really disappointed because I explicitly asked for it. And the prices went up and portions smaller. A large portion of fries now was medium before. Next time I will check it before I leave and bring my own bag. During the rain the paper bag fall apart just for my door. I could prevent it from falling. Come on guys. Keep it up.

Terrible! This place used to be top-notch, but what happened? Lately, the fries have been stale several times, the prices are way too high, and the quality is simply terrible. It's a real shame that it's deteriorated so much due to the tourist crowds...

I never really write reviews, but I'm so disappointed I'm doing it now. This has been my favorite chip shop for four years now, and I go there very regularly. I heard there's a new owner and hoped nothing would change. I could always get a small order of fries, and this was almost too much for me. Now I got a small order of fries that aren't as good as before and are also three times smaller than the portions used to be. It's a shame to see this fantastic chip shop become this. I'd love to come back when the portions are like grandma used to make them!

It was very tasty, I bought it several times with different sauces and was always very satisfied.

It looked good from the outside so I thought to try a beef burger. The meat itself is the most dry and overcooked burgerpatty I ever bought or ate in my life. If burgers are your special than this is totally unacceptable. Don't buy burgers from here.

The fries are just superb! Double-crispy, rustic (not boringly clean-cut like the almost plasticy ones from M) well salted, with lots of smaller bits that crackle like chips. Service is quick, but you do have to wait on the curb though.

I’ve been a loyal customer of this place for years because, in my opinion, they serve the best fries in Amsterdam. The potatoes are always perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, with a deliciously rich flavor that’s hard to beat. However, I’ve noticed some changes recently that are a bit disappointing. The prices have gone up quite a bit, and at the same time, the portion sizes have become noticeably smaller. While the quality of the fries remains excellent, the value for money isn’t what it used to be. I still recommend this spot for anyone looking to try some of the best fries in Amsterdam, but be prepared to pay a little more for a bit less.

An authentic chip shop on the side of the street. It does it well and the value is good. You've to wait a few minutes for the food as they cook it fresh for you. There are worse places to wait! An abundance of mayo and the medium portion was more than enough for a hungry 12 year old and me.

See you this week...order a remedy with cheese and mayonnaise...a new employee...stands mirroring himself in a vending machine that hangs...all nice and nice...I walk on the street with my fries with that guy's long hair in it...I just stole it away, what a letdown...that's where my money goes.. .

Oma's friet redde mij toen ik door de vermaledijde NS gestrand was met een groep kinderen. Uiterst behulpzaam en lief regelden zij alles voor mij en de kinderen. En toen bleek de patat ook nog enorm lekker te zijn. Ik kan iedereen deze plek aanraden, lieve mensen en smaakvolle frieten!

In de rij sprak ik een andere wachtende die zei dat dit de beste friet is van Amsterdam. Hij had gelijk.

Einer der besten, wenn nicht DER beste Ort für Fritten in Amsterdam. Superfrisch, große Auswahl an Saucen (auch vegan), netter Verkäufer. Die veganen Kroketten waren auch hervorragend. Preise sind fair, woanders zahlt man für schlechtere Qualität deutlich mehr.
