Griek Express in Centrum

Even though we've lived in Groningen for quite a few years, we picked up food here tonight for the first time. My three-year-old daughter was a bit fussy, and a kind woman immediately got her a box of building blocks. Despite rush hour, it was a good experience, and the food arrived quickly. And more importantly, it was delicious! And lots of it. In short, until next time 😁👌

Shawarma special pizza was delicious and very good value on the midweek special (€8 for a 30cm pizza). Food was ready for collection on time and the staff were friendly when I picked up my order. Looking forward to trying more of the menu

Sadly, this was our last visit to Greek Taverna Doris. We know it can get busy and very noisy, but tonight it was truly awful. It was way too crowded. You could barely hear each other. People in groups of six were placed at two tables for two, pushed together. There were no chairs left, and a chair was brought in from outside. We were crammed together. The only female waitress there was extremely unfriendly. She wasn't friendly or polite at all. The three men working there were, but it was extremely chaotic because of the sheer volume. There was no structure, and everyone was just running around. We waited 45 minutes for our appetizer and then another 45 minutes for the main course. After that, I had to ask for my change from the waitress, who didn't respond and started bringing food to other tables. After asking her, she said a colleague would bring the change later. The food was good, though.

Forgot the bread basket, forgot 1 dessert A bit of a shame

Mediocre food. Gyros was tasteless, too little eggplant in mousaka. Microwave was visible to customers. Microwaves do not belong in (any) restaurant. The fact that we were only half occupied on Saturday evening should have been a warning...
