Had a delicious meal at Delphi Helmond

I had dinner at Delphi last week with my English friends and it was fantastic! We were welcomed very hospitably with an ouzo and, of course, most importantly, delicious food. The atmosphere is very relaxed and with Greek music in the background, you can chat with each other without any problem, which is sometimes not possible in other Greek restaurants. We will be back!

A fantastic Greek restaurant that stands out from most Greek restaurants precisely because it isn't one of those colossal food halls. Small, but precisely because of that, very cozy and pleasant, with more personal attention. And no, it isn't a glorified shawarma joint, but a full-fledged restaurant with ouzo always available when you enter. And in good weather, a lovely spacious terrace on a car-free square. In short, if you want to enjoy Greek cuisine with a cozy, living-room feel, you should definitely go here. And Erdal is a very nice, friendly owner who is always up for a chat.

Looks like a decent place, but doesn’t have many Greek options, the waiter looked so confused when I asked for stifado or moussaka. Didn’t feel like having a gyro so I had to stick to a Greek salad.

On Saturday evening, July 5th, we went out for dinner together at Delphi, the Greek restaurant on the Market Square in Helmond. The weather was lovely, so we sat outside on the terrace. It is nicely decorated and beautifully sheltered from the sun under the trees. Inside, the restaurant also looks atmospheric. With a nice menu that is, above all, not too extensive, we chose a starter, main course, and dessert. The super friendly owner/chef and owners gave us tips, and we had a delicious meal. The price-quality ratio is very good. The dessert in particular, the Lava cake, was really delicious, and I will definitely order it again next time. Update after the reply from the restaurant to my review: Ok, pork or chicken, it was not cooked and gyro wasn't fresh. I eat pork as well and I eat greek food all the time. I was at this place before and the food was good both times. This time it wasn't fresh and it wasn't cooked. She asked for an honest opinion . We didn't want to say anything but when she asked again, we told her the truth. No hard feelings . As we said, they are very friendly but this time, the food wasnt good at all. The chicken was undercooked and tough. The gyro wasn’t fresh at all. We asked them to cook the chicken longer, but when they brought it back, it was still raw. We ended up just eating the coleslaw, the small portion of red rice, and the fries.thecrest of the food was left on the plate. Toward the end, a staff member asked if we found the food unsatisfactory, and we gave them our honest feedback. They charged us the full price.

For the Netherlands, this is a good Greek restaurant. It wouldn't hold up well in Germany. The bifteki with cheese was bad because of the wrong cheese. The mixed grill was okay, but there wasn't enough of it. However, they have very good wine. All in all, average.

On Friday, February 6, 2026, we were a bit late deciding where to eat. After a quick Google search, we decided: Greek Restaurant Delphi in Helmond. We'd never been there before. And that would be a great opportunity to get acquainted. The internet said the kitchen was only open until 9:00 PM. So, we called immediately, as it was already 8:10 PM. We were greeted very kindly. No problem, we could just come in, and the kitchen was still open. We had to search the market square for a bit. We found a small restaurant with a very friendly hostess, who quickly got our drinks served. The menu showed a dish for two people from the "chef." After a brief explanation, we chose this dish, but for three people. Surprisingly quickly, the chef (owner) was able to prepare it. The large platter was neatly placed on the table. Everything was eaten with approving looks from my fellow diners. We finished with a delicious ice cream (neatly prepared and well-prepared). We'll definitely be back.

Last Friday, November 28th, I ate here for the first time with my son. The food was delicious, the portions and prices were excellent, and the taste was excellent. The waitresses were very hospitable and kept a close eye on everything. Perfect service is rare these days. We will definitely be back. So far, the best Greek restaurant in Brabant. Hats off!

We love this restaurant! 🥰 It feels like being in an authentic, convivial Greek taverna. 🇬🇷 The service is incredibly friendly, the owner goes out of his way to fulfill every wish, the food is delicious and fresh (the homemade tzatziki is divine 😋), and even the ouzo tastes exceptional here. We often take a bottle of retsina home with us. And if the portion is too big to leave room for dessert, we simply pack up the baklava to go. 😉 It's a delight every time! We're already looking forward to our next visit.

We had another delicious meal here last week. Eight of us were celebrating a birthday. We started with tzatziki, feta, and olives, followed by delicious grilled meat with plenty of fries and extra tzatziki. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

We kregen alleen vlees geserveerd op een bord. Bord verder niet opgemaakt met iets van sla. Het vlees was droog. Vooral van "suzuki". Is niet goed bevallen. Voorgerecht nog lang niet op, wilde ze al weghalen, hoewel dit ook prima gegeten kon worden bij het hoofdgerecht. Vooral gezien het ontbreken van een "opmaak" (lees: wat garnituur) van het hoofdgerecht Kregen overigens wel een welkomstdrankje, ouzo, dat was weer een plus.

Booked based on the reviews. Very small, lacks atmosphere and the service was downright rude. Were outside within 50 minutes. We expected the Greek conviviality, but alas. The food was really great, but that can't compete with the young lady who asked us to order within 10 minutes and could only think of a sweet white or red wine.

I would like to recommend the Greek restaurant Delphi! Recently I visited it with friends and it was a wonderful experience. I chose the mixed grill and it was really delicious: the meat was perfectly seasoned, nice and fresh and well prepared. The combination with fries and salad was perfect. What I also really liked is that you can sit for a long time without feeling rushed. The drinks menu is extensive, so there is something for everyone. They offer not only meat dishes, but also fish, vegan options and even halal variants. The restaurant is also easily accessible by car. We will definitely come back!
